Last week's show stopped suddenly even though I went all the way through. There's a message in that. Let's talk about recognizing ego driven behavior and being our best selves.
YOU CONTROL YOU---HOW'S THAT GOING?
For some reason we humans act like we are a rock on the beach being ground into sand against our will. Yet truth of he matter is each of us has the power of free will to decide yay or nay.
We cannot sidestep accountability by blaming others for how we act. None of us is perfect, and ALL of us is accountable for our behavior,our unkind acts and words,our allowing anger to block kindness,those moments when we allow being a victim buffeted by the waves to justify allowing our worst self to dominate and lap up praise for behavior, comments, ideas that we know add to the chaos, not quell it. Let's work together to recognize those moments when we allow fear to dominate us: Fear of not being enough,Fear of being wrong,Fear of not having enough,Fear of past mistakes becoming known,Fear of being rejected by God,Fear of being rejected by man... andOn and On and On Let's support each other as we come to recognize the role FEAR plays in our lives and learn to be LOVE.
We all started as LOVE. Join me as we re-member and re-mind ourselves of our Highest Being.

As humans we tend to divide people into groups of "US and THEM" camps, many times relying on our prejudgments, yep prejudices, about right behavior. Pink Floyd wrote a song that details the harm in this type of thinking: we lose sight of our shared humanity. In ignoring the humanity of others we give ourselves permission to be inhumane. Harsh word, but true.

Does anyone else feel like things such as civility and kindness are fracturing around us into classes based on agreement with one's belief system. Maybe its always been this way which is why we are encouraged in religious and philosophical texts to act in love, in kindness. The last few weeks I've been thinking a lot about the wave of fear I see gripping the US. When people are afraid they don't listen very well except to their own righteous thoughts. I've realized we need to talk more by asking questions and "Listen[ing] with the ears of those who speak." But we first must prepare by asking more questions of ourselves. Each of us needs to know ourself, because as Socrates said, "To know thyself is the beginning of wisdom."
Some questions to consider: What are you afraid of that justifies your speaking and acting on your darkest words? Why are you afraid to say Black Lives Matter? Brown Lives Matter? Asian Lives Matter? Why does using those words threaten you? Why are you frightened by everyone being treated equally?Why can you deny what is before your eyes?Why are you afraid to wear a face mask? How does that threaten you?What are you losing by not wearing a mask? What are you gaining? What makes you so afraid you take assault weapons to a protest that already scares you?One for me to you---How can you use your Bible to spew hate? What happened to judge not? "Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye." ---Matthew 7:5What happened to Love others? Jesus gave a new commandment : "Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples," John 13:34-35. Let's keep working on BEING LOVE: ASK YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD LOVE DO NOW?
God, by whatever name or pronoun you use, sees more in each of us than we show. The Divine One sees through our walls and justifications straight through to the Divine Spark in each of us.
Is your Divine Light shrouded in a cloud because of past choices? Don't worry---welcome to humanity. The thing is what matters is what you do now. So there's still time to ignite your inner light of LOVE.
Is your Divine Light bricked in by walls demanding to be in control? Let go of the need to play God---let God in and work to control YOU with gudance from your inner Light. God is within you guiding you to kind good choices. Do you listen?
We used to sing songs in vacation Bible School that hold such truth: "This little Light of mine, I'm going to let it shine....;" "You've gotta have faith, hope and charity that's the way to live successfully....;" "Jesus love the little children, all the children of the world: red, and yellow, black and white they are precious to his sight, Jesus loves the little chidren of the world...." What happened?
Simpler times when we believed the way was staying in line with LOVE and Kindness, keeping our inner Light alive and shining.
You cannot change the past, but you can the present: Be Kind, See more in others than they show you...see their Divine Light. Take charge of you and let Your LIGHT shine, not to show you are right but to show you are KIND in your words and your deeds. BE LOVE

Lately I've been pretty quiet as I've read and watched leaders using vile, unkind, language across our country. People are threatening to shoot others and in some case are. Protests are turned violent by masked unknown soldiers similar to what we see in Russia and other places where disagreement is treated as disloyalty and put down. In the midst of this, a terrible virus plagues our country and the world.
The virus reminds us we are all equally vulnerable, as do the loyalty tests that allow it to run rampage. We need as a nation to decide to what are we loyal to: God by whatever name you call God, I prefer "LOVE," or Politics with its fickle policies and leaders?
I suggest Loyalty to LOVE. Had people been loyal to love and treating others the way they want to be treated themselves in the same situation: Wearing masks would be natural and intuitive---no one wants to get sick or have someone else get sick;Guns would remain at home unloaded and uncocked rather than a "go to" solution;Dissent would not be met with violenceNo one would be called a name for expressing his/her opinions because no one wants to be called a name by others for expressing differing opinions;Respectful words designed to unify the United States would be the norm for our leaders not name calling and cussing;Governors would have a national plan to follow in response to the virus that dignifies all, not one to demonstrate loyalty to a national leader; andThere would be no need for protests! We have lost sight of our values and misplaced our loyalty to love one another with politics. FEAR BEGATS FEAR AND JUSTIFIES UNLOVING CONDUCT. SEE MORE IN OTHERS THAN THEY SHOW YOU: THE DIVINE SPARK OF LIGHT PLACED THERE BY GOD AT BIRTH.

Many of us have been raised to show and believe we are better or more worthy than others whether because of our position, our race, our money, our religions or any other enumerable characteristics often disconnected from our hearts. We are taught to justify our belief we deserve more: better treatment, better things, more respect because we are better or more than others.
I grew up in an economically challenged family, we weren't allowed to say "poor." That was an insult to my parents. They had seen real poverty, poor people, in the hills of West Virginia. So, We were not poor! We had food, even if it was stuff discarded by the Market Basket. Poor people don't have food. We were better than that.
When my first grade teacher in the project school I attended thought I would never learn to read and told my dad, he was furious He taught me to read by sight. When they told him the same about my brothers, he was again angry. We all learned to read. Today, I wonder how many poor kids are kept down by such judgments. Kept from fulfilling their potential?
Judging others as less than is prejudiced thinking designed to show the speaker is superior. Imagine opening our minds by seeing everyone as equal to us, no less no more Now against that backdrop open your mind to see possibilities for showing that equality rather than doomsday prophecies. So instead of your children will never read and implicitly are doomed to a life of poverty, let's look for a way to change that to help them reach their full potential. Equal is enough. Treating others as equal without judgment is empowering for all.
GUIDE YOURSELF FROM LOVE
Let's just for now forget about property damage caused by riots, and focus on why people are screaming and rioting. The kind of rage we see did not start last year. It is part of our heritage but everytime its explodes people begin talking in platitudes with a lot of tinges of "us and them" thinking. Some people call out the root cause treating others as less than and denying them the full benefits of the law and life in the beginning, but pretty soon that discourse gets replaced by discussions of property damage. In essence the property damages eclipses the human damage that caused the eruption. People start to blame, which reinforces their prejudices about the eruption caused by their prejudices. It's time we stop this cycle of hate.

For now, let's treat everything as arising from Love or Fear. Now, lets ask ourselves how we would want to be treated when we are afraid--ah kindly, so Love becomes the way.
So where do you put anger: Love or Fear?
Why are people angry at each other?
Let's try Love and create a force that circles the planet showing Love. Bottom line you are either a teacher of Love through your reactions or a student of the power of love through fear and your reactions to kindness. Both a student and a teacher.
LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE IN LOVE NOT JUDGMENT, WHICH IS MASKED FEAR

We don't have to live our lives in fear. We don't have to live in a world consumed by distrust, We don't have to be angry because others see the world differently than we do---I mean, of course they do, none of us have lived the exact same life, We don't have to judge each other---in fact we are warned of the pitfalls of doing so all over religious texts. We can relax and treat others with respect and dignity because they are human beings, We can be kind, We can see more in others than they are showing us, We can look for the Light of Divine in all, We can ask questions rather than judge---it takes a long time to build the kind of fear we are seeing, WE CAN BE LOVE
What should Love do NOW? Let's each map out what we want our future to look like and then start living as though it looks that way. Maybe, just maybe, LOVE WILL CONQUER ALL. But even if not, we can relax in the tranquility of knowing the being over whom we have control, ourself, is doing his/her part to live in peace and in so doing is working to build a world of peace. I read about people seeking guidance on how to respond to the current chaos. Some are acting as though the world wide death toll is nothing compared to their lost profits. Some are partying seemingly unconcerned about social distancing and the ramifications to those around them. Some are politicizing the virus as though it is directed only against those they deem unworthy to live. Some are violating social distancing because they believe God will save them. Yet in doing all of this people act as though they are special when confronting a disease that is blind.
We were told long ago to do unto others as we would have them do unto us. So the question is simple: how would I want to be treated if I was facing contamination? We have been taught treating others with the words that answer that question is the only correct answer.
Love others as you love yourself, do for others as you want done to you. We are now provided a God given chance to manifest those words. Are you up to it or will you entrap yourselves in judgements about who is worthy and who is not against words that make everyone equal?
Togethe let us create a circle of Love to overcome our tendency to segregate and judge. We've been given a divine chance here
My answer to the question, "Are you living a kind life?" would be: "I"M TRYING, BUT THERE ARE TIMES I FAIL."
When I was little and talking a mile a minute shaming and blaming, my mom would say, "Don't let your tongue block your eye tooth." I didn't really understand what she was saying except to slow dow and think. Now I understand she was telling me that despite my self-perceived wisdom, I did not know all the facts, starting with what each person I was judging was thinking and living. She'd remind me with her hillbilly wisdom that only God was in a position to judge.
I've come to recognize that perhaps the hardest thing for us humans is to not shame and blame. It makes us more--after all we are then outside of the situation looking down with a God like eye, and perceive ourselves as fully able to "JUDGE" whose right whose wrong according to our view of what is right and wrong.
I've also come to realize that treating others as I want to be treated opens my heart to compassion. Let's work together to stop the shaming and blaming and find solutions grounded in kindness to the problems we face. Let's ask ourselves: WHAT WOULD LOVE DO NOW? When we fail, we're not finished just starting. Be kind to yourself too, forgive yourself and start over. Let's start defining ourselves by our successes rather than our failures.
No church nor religion nor philosophy is God's favorite. But YOU are a favorite of God.
Many believe individual humans lack a connection with God and require an intermediary. This has resulted in a class of humans getting power and riches that they do not deserve, nor require. Why?, because you do not need an intermediary, God is handling that already. Contrary to popular belief there is enough of God to go around.
In saying this I do not discount the great teachers God has sent to us Mohammed, Jesus, Buddha, Yogananda are well known, there are others. They speak a common message which makes our life journeys easier---simpler. At the center of these messages is Love is the Way. We have control over our choices through free will: "Love others as you love yourself."The words we choose to say reflect God: "In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God.'The only moment is now, the past is gone and the future is yet to be: "The Tree in the Garden. To me this coronavirus-19 pandemic is another lesson in love from God. It is not here to show God loves some and not all nor protects some and not all. It is affecting everyone equally: Princes, Princesses, world leaders, ministers, choir members, rich and poor. This pandemic has no favorites and neither does God.
You do not need an intermediary between you and God. There's enough God to go around equally. No royalty, upper class, chosen people--- God is there with you always. Just reach out your hand and take the hand of God.
Put your hand in God's hand and ask yourself during this time of equalization "What would Love do NOW?" IMAGINE GOD AS BIGGER THAN YOU WERE TAUGHT
About 12 years ago I wrote a book "Uniquely Created Divinely Inspired You." I did it in collaboration with God known by many names: the Divine One---All That Is---the Great I Am. At some point I forgot it was a collaboration,so I ran off to finish it alone on my computer. I pressed "save", packed up the computer and moved home to Whittier, California.
When I settled in I opened up my computer to finish the job. To my surprise, the book was at exactly the same place it was before I took over and moved. So the collaboration continued, and "we" finished the book. Even the name was inspired. In fact I was led to an artist who painted the perfect pictures---exactly 26.
The book is really just 26 short messages based on the alphabet. I 've had no desire to make money from the book, which is crazy expensive because of all the color ink it takes to produce it.
But last night I woke up thinking the 26 topics are good meditation topics and mantras during this time of crisis and we could do them on the show.
If one person listens and these words help that person, that makes doing the show worthwhile. A friend reminded me yesterday that one person may listen in the future because the episodes are archived and also podcasts.
The first passage is:
Absolute Love is Your birth right.
For some reason Human Beings need ro rank each other as better than, equal to or less than in all things including in how we each see God. This competition creates an inequality as people all struggle to be the best and judge those who don't meet their standards. Very few people feel as though they are enough just as they are and constantly struggle to be more.
Right now we are in the middle of a pandemic that is touching everyone equally. This presents a God given chance to rethink how we have been doing things to this point. Who do you want to be? How do you answer the question: "WHO AM I AND WHERE AM I GOING?"
Do you see more in people than they are showing you?
Do You need to feel superior?
How do You act when you perceive yourself as less than another?
Why do you care?
How do You view Kindness?
What does treating others like you want to be treated mean to you?
Can you reconcile that with your view of others?
If so, How?
Some things we'll think about, meditate about and ...
No matter your faith or lack of faith, you experience human emotions, because we are ALL HUMAN BEINGS. Each of us is part of a divine whole and each of us matters. Let's talk about what's happening and where we want to grow from here.
We will together overcome this crisis and the fears that come with it but where do we want to end up? I hope we can let go of blaming, stop looking for who caused our crisis and move into a resolving mode seeing more in others than they show us. It may be a pipe dream, but "ALL I AM SAYING IS GIVE LOVE A CHANCE." EACH OF US IS ENOUGH TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE, TOGETHER WE CAN MOVE THE WORLD TO LOVE.
Let's work on controlling our anxiety together to create a meme of Love during this time of world wide crisis. Blaming will not fix anything, only asking "What can I do?" will.

Let's Re-engage with Now, while exploring the peace of connecting with All that Is. Let's breathe in the peace of that connection and accept what we can control: ourselves and cannot control: others. No matter where we are in life, we have made it to this point. We are enough: Each of Us and All of us. The challenge of life is being kind to unkindness because my reaction is about me and yours is about you. When we are at a point of chaos, student and teacher at one time, do I follow your lead and become your student or do I respond in kindness and become your teacher, which will disrupt my peace? No matter which I choose, I can reclaim myself and my peace. Let's explore how....

JOIN BOB AND MARA TO DISCUSS "YOU TIME." Time you celebrate the things that make You happy, that cause you to pause at peace. It is during such times you re-connect with all that is, with God, with Allah, with Yahweh, with the Great Spirit, and become ONE with THE GREAT I AM.
Many people allow their lives to get caught up in doing things and DENY themseleves time : to just stop and smell the roses,to lift your head up and feel the breeze,to send prayers into the wind,to meditate/pray,to breathe and join one's breath with God's breath If you convince yourself you are too busy to do any of these things you are trapped in an illusion, maya, that ignores your immediate, constant, connection with all that is. It takes a minute to reconnect that's it. Although the joy of being connected may be addictive and you may want to relax in the presence of the GREAT I AM for longer periods in special places: churches, mosques, synagogues, your prayer room, any spot you recognize as glistening with the energy of God . . .; why deny yourself the pleasure of spontaneous moments of peace and pleasure by stopping even if for a second to reconnect and be-come one with God, known by many names?
JOIN MARA AND BOB TO DISCUSS THE QUESTION "DO YOU FOCUS YOUR MIND ON THOSE WHO BRING YOU DOWN OR THOSE WHO LIFT YOU UP?" IT IS MORE LIKELY THAN NOT, PROBABLE, THAT THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES WHEN ALL OF US HAVE ALLOWED OUR MINDS TO FOCUS ON THOSE WHO PUT US DOWN, JUDGE US, TALK BADLY ABOUT US AND GENERALLY LEAVE US FEELING LESS THAN. DURING SUCH TIMES WHEN WE BECOME OBSESSED WITH NOT BEING ENOUGH, IT IS NOT UNCOMMON TO ALSO INVEST TIME TRYING TO SHOW THE PERSON(S) "ABUSING" US THAT THEY ARE WRONG. IN ESSENCE WE GIVE THEM OUR POSITIVE ENERGY AS A RESULT OF THEM TREATING US NEGATIVELY.
THESE TIMES LEAVE LITTLE ROOM FOR POSITIVE THOUGHT---FOR HAPPINESS. INSTEAD WE ARE ACTUALLY WASTING PRECIOUS MOMENTS IN OUR LIVES FOCUSING ON NEGATIVITY AND OTHER PEOPLE WHO MISS OUR INNER BEAUTY. WE DO THIS EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER OTHERS. SOMETIMES WE WILL IGNORE THOSE WHO REACH OUT TO US IN KINDNESS AS WE WORK TO GARNER THE FAVOR OF THOSE WHO ARE BEATING US DOWN.
THIS BEHAVIOR PATTERN DESTROYS THE NOW AND ALL WE HAVE IS NOW. ITS TIME TO ACCEPT EVERYONE WILL NOT LIKE US AND HOLD CLOSE---LIFT UP---THOSE WHO TREAT US KINDLY, THOSE WHO DO LIKE US. WHEN WE FOCUS OUR MINDS ON LOVE---WE RELEASE THE CONTROL THE NON-LOVERS HAVE ON US AND FREE OUR MINDS TO SEND LOVE TO THEM RATHER THAN EMPOWERING THEIR NEGATIVITY BY FRETTING OVER THAT WE CANNOT CHANGE. RECLAIM YOUR POWER AND BE LOVE---STARTING WITH LOVING YOU.

IT COULD WELL BE THIS TENDENCY TO JUDGE IS WHY ALL MAJOR RELIGIONS SAY "JUDGE NOT", EVEN THE MOST JUDGMENTAL.
