At the intersection of the cold war and the supernatural, a misfit team of investigators from the Office of Naval Intelligence's Records and Reconciliation unit, works to uncover the mysteries behind strange experiences at Guantanamo Bay Naval Station in Cuba. Their mission takes them to places near and far, common and bizarre, as the national security of the United States, and the fate of the entire world, turn on the actions of a few cast-offs from a small office in Virginia. The teams reunite on Andros Island in the Bahamas, at the Navy's AUTEC facility. They go over what they've learned, and try to figure out the way forward, as time continues to work against them.
Jed and Sally continue to investigate what happened in Massachusetts all those years ago, while Jed and Sam are confronted with a man out of time. As the world that these ONI agents know, comes together with the world they have never even dreamed of, how will they handle the fallout?

Next steps are planned as they consider how to deal with Cambrone, Palomnik, and the paranormal incidents they've encountered, but troubling questions remain...

In this episode, the team tries to evacuate from the site, as they come under attack from a deadly foe they did not expect.

Concluding their discussion, Nana directs the team to split up once again, in order to cover more ground. While McEvoy and Dolores plan their trip to Miami, Sam, Jed, and Sally prepare to visit Louisiana.

As they continue to work on sorting out this mystery, something terrible has happened that no one was expecting...
Jed and Michael found signs of foul play, and stranger things as well, up in the mountains. Things begin to get serious as the Cuban Airforce takes an unknown man into custody. Is he the pilot of the mysterious downed plane? How did he get to Cuba?
The team splits just as quickly as they'd come back together. Sally, Dolores, and Samuel head to a local bookstore to run down a lead, as Jed and Michael make there way into the mountains to investigate a report of a downed plane.
The investigation continues at Guantanamo, with Jed and Michael touring the base and talking with Dewey's superiors. The team tries to get their head around what exactly is going on. What did Dewey see? What really happened that night? And how are Polomnik and the Soviets involved?
The team arrives in Cuba, and begins work on two separate tracks. Jed and Michael speak with Private First Class Randall Dewey, the marine at the center of the strange happenings during the hurricane. Meanwhile, Sally, Dolores, and Samuel investigate leads in Guantanamo City.
The members of the Office of Naval Intelligence's Records and Reconciliation Branch, R2, assemble for their mission briefing at Arlington Hall. Their boss, Assistant Director Nanette Borne Broom, aka Nana, fills them in on the circumstances they're meant to investigate, which will take them to the island of Cuba. A communist outpost just 90 miles from the American mainland, R2 will have to watch their step as they get to work.
