Eternal Salvation : The believer and Sin. Hebrews 5:8-9
Sin is not consistent with the righteousness nature of the believer. Believers are dead to sin therefore, sin is not our life. 1 John 3:8
The first sinner was not Adam, but the devil, that is why sin is known to be from the devil. Any man that is born again should not sin because he is born of God. The perpetual sinner is the devil, and we are not of the devil, but of God.
In the old testament, the breaking of the law is called sin. But in the new testament, we are not bound by this laws. (Galatians 3:19) Note that the code of conduct in the old testament is not what we are operating in as believers in the new testament.
Sin in the new testament simply means whatever is done in the absence of LOVE and FAITH.
Sin in the new testament can be seen as "miss target", this is more than just breaking the ten commandments. The moment you neglect the instruction of God per time that is sin. Romans 14: 23 shows us that whatever you do without faith is sin.
Should you sin as a believer? NO, but here is the bottom line, peradventure a believer sins, know that there is an advocate with the father on our behalf. (1 John 2:1)
