CRYPTIDS 101 🔴 Mothman 🐾 "The Legend & History of Mothman"

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/OM4td9HIj3c

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️ Long before 1966 the point pleasant region had a fair share of backwoods mysteries, including UFO sightings, strange reports regarding men in black, large unknown creatures and monstrous noises in the deep woods. The first known sighting of the mothman occurred on November 12th, 1966. Five men in Clendenin, West Virgina claimed to have seen a low flying winged man soaring just above the treetops while digging a grave at a nearby cemetery.

🔹 DESCRIPTION 🔹 Mothman is a strong fast flying cryptid defined primarily by its exceptionally large moth-like wings & head complete with 2 huge glowing red eyes. It has 3 sharps claws with opposable thumbs and stands on 2 muscular legs ending in 3 toed bird-like talons or claws. Witness accounts frequently involve being chased down remote country roads at high rates of speed. In the initial documented encounter 2 couples were chased in their '57 Chevy Bel Air at speeds reaching 100mph. This cryptid shows no fear of vehicles or their occupants despite the only damage to date being to the vehicles themselves.

🔸 SUMMARY 🔸 The McClintic Wildlife Management Area. The 3,655 acres of wild life management is occupied by farmland, wetland, mixed hardwood forest & over 30 marsh filled ponds. For many decades the heavily overgrown ruins of a World War 2 power plant located within the TnT Region was thought to be a favorite haunt of the Mothman. More specifically Mothman witnesses speculated that the creature, which locals then referred to as simply "The bird", lived in the North Power Plant. The building eventually came to be known as "The Bird House". Throughout 1966 and 1967 many West Virginia locals and sightseers flocked to the area in search of the monster. Once the building was deemed a hazard and demolished decades later Mothman encounters intensified in various bunkers.

CRYPTIDS 101 🔴 La Lechuza 🐾 "The Witch Owl" ᴸᴺᴬᵗᵛ

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/fjhlx8lfwOc

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

Haunting the southwest regions of North America, the deadly Witch Owl known as La Lechusa uses her massive wings to prowl the night in search of wayward children or lone adults to kill and devour.

🔹 DESCRIPTION 🔹

The Witch-Owls razor sharp talons are incredibly powerful, with the ability to dig into vulnerable soft tissue such as the eyes and throat. She is said to have a large hooked beak for a mouth & uses to cause serious wounds.

La Lechusa is able to take the form of ravens, owls & possibly various large birds of prey. She is able to change her appearance from that of a haggard old woman into a young beautiful seductress.

Regardless of her heads appearance her body is always that of a large bird that some reports claim to be 7 feet tall, with a massive 10 foot wingspan. Some cryptozoologists relate her appearance to that of the ancient Harpy of Greek mythology.

🔸 SUMMARY 🔸

Lechuza refers to a witch that turns into an owl in Mexican and Mexican-American folklore.

The classic folklore of the La Lechusa legend tells of a vengeful woman believed to have exchanged her soul for the ability to transform into an enormous barn owl.

Having risen from the grave, she carries away and devours unsuspecting men, always searching for the lowlife drunk of a husband who murdered her.

There are several variations of this origin story. In older tales the Witch-Owl is a good witch that was wrongfully accused by local villagers for using black magic. One captured she swore vengence as they burned her alive.

A few modern variations of the La Lechusa origins claim La Lechusa is the ghost of a woman who was widowed by a man who remarried, or was the devoted wife of an unfaithful husband.

Some have claimed she is the angry spirit of a woman killed by a drunk driver & now seeks revenge on men leaving bars late at night.

CRYPTIDS 101 🔴 Mill Race Monster 🐾 "Reptoid Bigfoot Alien?" ᴸᴺᴬᵗᵛ

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/bBCxq0ELNMc

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

On November 1, 1974, the Columbus Police Department received a series of panicked reports from no less than two sets of eyewitnesses, all of whom claimed to have seen (and even been attacked by) a huge, bipedal, green-skinned monstrosity that took to skulking near the waterways inside Indiana’s 83-acre Mill Race Park.

These encounters would alarm locals and lead to what some consider to be the biggest “monster hunt” in the history of the United States.

🔹 DESCRIPTION 🔹

This large green-skinned reptoid stands upright at just under 7 foot tall. It's reportedly covered in a foul mucous that smells of decay & rot. The Mill Race Monster is somewhat passive during the daylight hours, but shows far less fear of humans in the evening. It has long claws and a bright green tinge around it's mouth which is filled with razor sharp teeth.

🔸 SUMMARY 🔸

When researching the Mill Race Monster it was easy to assume there was little to even speculate about due to the age of the last documented sighting. Adding to the fact that the park and surrounding area is fairly well developed it is easy to assume there is little mystery left to discuss or discover.

However; when looking to the west a few miles you begin to stumble upon UFO's, witches, potential Bigfoot sightings, abandoned cemeteries, odd Tree-Rocks, forgotten native american hunting grounds, ghosts from the early 1800's & even mysterious cult activity.

It may be simple to dismiss the Mill Race Monster as a 1970's prank or mis-identification of sorts, but the deep woods to the west may hide much more sinister mysteries?

PARANORMAL OR NOT? 👻 Haunting: Warren Wagon Train Massacre (Dogmen, Skinwalkers or Ghosts?) ᴸᴺᴬᵗᵛ

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

The Warren Wagon Train raid, also known as the Salt Creek massacre, occurred on May 18, 1871. Henry Warren was contracted to haul supplies to forts in the west of Texas, including Fort Richardson, Fort Griffin, and Fort Concho. Traveling down the Jacksboro-Belknap road heading towards Salt Creek Crossing, they encountered William Tecumseh Sherman.

🔎 ABOUT THE RAID 🔍

Less than an hour after encountering the famous General, they spotted a rather large group of riders ahead. They quickly realized that these were Native American warriors, probably Kiowa and/or Comanche. The corn train quickly shifted into a ring formation, and all the mules were put into the center of the ring. The warriors destroyed the corn supplies, killing and mutilating seven of the wagoneer's bodies. Five men managed to escape, one of which was Thomas Brazeale who reached Fort Richardson on foot, some 20 miles away. As soon as Col. Ranald S. Mackenzie learned of the incident, he informed Sherman.

Sherman and Mackenzie searched for the warriors responsible for the raid. In the end, notwithstanding the intervention of Guipago (Lone Wolf), well equipped with loaded rifles and revolvers and ready to fight, three of the war leaders involved were arrested at Fort Sill: Satanta (White Bear), Satank (Sitting Bear), and Ado-ete (Big Tree). Satank attempted to escape and was killed while traveling to Fort Richardson for trial. The other two were tried and convicted of murder.

The Kiowa story is that, the previous night, Mamanti ("He Walking-above"), the shaman, had prophesied that this small party would be followed by a larger one with more plunder for the taking. The braves were rewarded three hours later when 10 mule-drawn wagons filled with army corn and fodder trundled into view. The Kiowa attacked and quickly overwhelmed this convoy. Seven muleskinners were killed, while five managed to escape. One of the mule skinners was tortured to death with fire by the Kiowa, his tongue cut out. The warriors lost three of their own, but left with 40 mules heavily laden with supplies.

PARANORMAL OR NOT? 👻 Shadow People (Inter-dimensional Entities, Demons, Aliens & Jinn) ᴸᴺᴬᵗᵛ

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/Mse_7V-qXKY

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

A shadow person (also known as a shadow figure, shadow being or black mass) is the perception of a patch of shadow as a living, humanoid figure, and, interpreted as the presence of a spirit or other entity by believers in the paranormal or supernatural.

A number of religions, legends, and belief systems describe shadowy spiritual beings or supernatural entities such as shades of the underworld, and various shadowy creatures have long been a staple of folklore and ghost stories.

🔎 ABOUT SHADOW PEOPLE 🔍

Several physiological and psychological conditions can account for reported experiences of shadowy shapes seeming alive. A sleep paralysis sufferer may perceive a "shadowy or indistinct shape" approaching them when they lie awake paralyzed and become increasingly alarmed.

A person experiencing heightened emotion, such as while walking alone on a dark night, may incorrectly perceive a patch of shadow as an attacker.

Many methamphetamine addicts report the appearance of "shadow people" after prolonged periods of sleep deprivation. Psychiatrist Jack Potts suggests that methamphetamine usage adds a "conspiratorial component" to the sleep deprivation hallucinations. One interviewed subject said that "You don't see shadow dogs or shadow birds or shadow cars. You see shadow people. Standing in doorways, walking behind you, coming at you on the sidewalk." These hallucinations have been directly compared to the paranormal entities described in folklore.

Finally, visual hallucinations, such as those caused by schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, may appear to be shadowy figures at the edge of peripheral vision.

CRYPTIDS 101 🔴 The Rake 🐾 "Demon Stalker or Hoax?"

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/T8ci2iuqcy8

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

The Rake is a creature believed to be a humanoid in appearance, with several references in folklore and horrific urban legends, originally appearing on the internet on Creepypasta. The creature reportedly attacks humans due to unknown reasons and often causes its victims great psychological trauma.

🔹 DESCRIPTION 🔹

Reproduction by the creature is like what is imagined and visualized in scenes depicted in sci-fi films such as "Alien" past and present. This humanoid life-form was never detected to be mammalian nor, reptilian. Yet in a recent video clip on YouTube, the YouTube video clip clearly exhibits and shows how the creature reproduces by opening the hosts mouth and releases its protozaires ingested by french-kissing. By exchanging fluids, the elongated cylindrical protozoaire moves into the host as the creature grasps around the mouth cavity to ensure its smooth rapid movement into the esophageal tract downward. Then the Rake releases its grip of the host with the protozoaire nesting inside. The gestation period is probably lengthy. And horrific.

🔸 SUMMARY 🔸

There is yet no known resolute official guidelines for evasive protection reasoning due infestation from these creatures. [Who] settle in dark spaces with ample cavernous conditions allowing it to move freely to and from populated areas that are often settings surrounded by hilly or mountainous forestation. The number of individual classifications for the species is still undetermined. Yet not limited only to the USA in many cases. However, limited in its scope and territorial range for hunting, cohabitation and regeneration with the same species. Extends to parts of Europe and Asia.

PARANORMAL OR NOT? 👻 Haunting Shadow of Tragedy (The Lone Woman | San Nicolas Island) ᴸᴺᴬᵗᵛ

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/LpxNbnwxtjk

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

The Channel Islands have long been inhabited by humans, with Native American colonization occurring 10,000 years ago or earlier. At the time of European contact, two distinct ethnic groups occupied the archipelago: the Chumash lived on the Northern Channel Islands and the Tongva on the Southern Islands (Juana Maria's tribe, the Nicoleño, were believed to be closely related to the Tongva). In the early 1540s Spanish (or Portuguese, according to some accounts) conquistador Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo explored the California coast, claiming it on behalf of Spain.

In 1814, a party of Native Alaskan otter hunters working for the Russian-American Company (RAC), massacred most of the islanders after accusing them of killing a Native Alaskan hunter.

Although there was speculation that the Franciscan padres of the California missions requested that the remaining Nicoleños be removed from the island, there is no documentary evidence to back that claim. The missions were undergoing secularization in the 1830s and there was no Franciscan priest at Mission San Gabriel from mid-1835 through spring of 1836 to receive any Nicoleños brought to the mainland.

In late November 1835, the schooner Peor es Nada, commanded by Charles Hubbard, left southern California to remove the remaining people living on San Nicolas. Upon arriving at the island, Hubbard's party, which included Isaac Sparks, gathered the islanders on the beach and brought them aboard. Juana Maria, however, was not among them by the time a strong storm arose, and the Peor es Nada's crew, realizing the imminent danger of being wrecked by the surf and rocks, panicked and sailed toward the mainland, leaving her behind.

🔎 ABOUT JUANA MARIA 🔍

Juana Maria (died October 19, 1853), better known to history as the Lone Woman of San Nicolas Island (her Native American name is unknown), was a Native Californian woman who was the last surviving member of her tribe, the Nicoleño. She lived alone on San Nicolas Island off the coast of Alta California from 1835 until her removal from the island in 1853. Scott O'Dell's award-winning children's novel Island of the Blue Dolphins (1960) was inspired by her story. She was the last native speaker of the Nicoleño language.

George Nidever, a Santa Barbara fur trapper, who launched several expeditions of his own to find Juana Maria. His first two attempts failed to find her, but on his third attempt in the autumn of 1853, one of Nidever's men, Carl Dittman, discovered human footprints on the beach and pieces of seal blubber which had been left out to dry.[10] Further investigation led to the discovery of Juana Maria, who was living on the island in a crude hut partially constructed of whale bones. She was dressed in a skirt made of greenish cormorant feathers. It was believed that she also lived in a nearby cave.

PARANORMAL OR NOT? 👻 Night Hag & Sleep Paralysis (Old Hag Syndrome) ᴸᴺᴬᵗᵛ

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/FjQLIi31RJI

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

The night hag or old hag is the name given to a supernatural creature, commonly associated with the phenomenon of sleep paralysis. It is a phenomenon during which a person feels a presence of a supernatural malevolent being which immobilizes the person as if sitting on their chest or the foot of their bed. The word "night-mare" or "nightmare" was used to describe this phenomenon before the word received its modern, more general meaning. Various cultures have various names for this phenomenon and/or supernatural character.

🔎 ABOUT SLEEP PARALYSIS 🔍

The original definition of sleep paralysis was codified by Samuel Johnson in his A Dictionary of the English Language as nightmare, a term that evolved into our modern definition. Such sleep paralysis was widely considered the work of demons, and more specifically incubi, which were thought to sit on the chests of sleepers. In Old English the name for these beings was mare or mære (from a proto-Germanic *marōn, cf. Old Norse mara), hence comes the mare part in nightmare. The word might be etymologically cognate to Greek Marōn (in the Odyssey) and Sanskrit Māra.

CRYPTIDS 101 🔴 Sasquatch 🐾 "Bigfoot Shot?"

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/XGdFq0H7dls

In North American folklore, Bigfoot or Sasquatch are said to be hairy, upright-walking, ape-like or humanoid creatures that dwell in the wilderness and leave giant, humanlike footprints. Depictions often portray them as a "missing link" between humans and human ancestors or other great apes. They are strongly associated with the Pacific Northwest, particularly Oregon, Washington, British Columbia and Northern California. Individuals have claimed to see the creatures all across North America over the years. These creatures have inspired numerous commercial ventures and hoaxes. The plural nouns 'Bigfoots' and 'Bigfeet' are both in use.

Folklorists trace the figure of Bigfoot to a combination of factors and sources, including folklore surrounding the European wild man figure, folk belief among Native Americans and loggers, and a cultural increase in environmental concerns.

A majority of scientists have historically discounted the existence of Bigfoot, considering it to be a combination of folklore, misidentification, and hoax, rather than living animals.

🔹 DESCRIPTION 🔹

People who claim to have seen it describe Bigfoot as large, muscular, bipedal ape-like creatures, roughly 6–9 feet (1.8–2.7 m) tall, covered in hair described as black, dark brown, or dark reddish.

The enormous footprints for which the creatures are named are claimed to be as large as 24 inches (60 cm) long and 8 inches (20 cm) wide. Some footprint casts have also contained claw marks, making it likely that they came from known animals such as bears, which have five toes and claws.

🔸 SUMMARY 🔸

Bigfoot proponents Grover Krantz and Geoffrey H. Bourne believed that Bigfoot could be a relict population of Gigantopithecus. All Gigantopithecus fossils were found in Asia, but according to Bourne, many species of animals migrated across the Bering land bridge and he suggested that Gigantopithecus might have done so, as well. Gigantopithecus fossils have not been found in the Americas.

The only recovered fossils are of mandibles and teeth, leaving uncertainty about Gigantopithecus's locomotion. Krantz has argued that Gigantopithecus blacki could have been bipedal, based on his extrapolation of the shape of its mandible. However, the relevant part of the mandible is not present in any fossils. An alternative view is that Gigantopithecus was quadrupedal; its enormous mass would have made it difficult for it to adopt a bipedal gait.

PARANORMAL OR NOT? 👻 The Devil's Bridge Legend (Haunted Teufelsbrücke | St Gotthard Pass) ᴸᴺᴬᵗᵛ

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/HCt4CDqoyJg

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

Devil's bridge is a term applied to dozens of ancient bridges, found primarily in Europe. Most of these bridges are stone or masonry arch bridges and represent a significant technological achievement in ancient architecture. Due to their unusual design, they were an object of fascination and stories in antiquity and medieval Europe.

Each of the Devil's bridges typically has a corresponding Devil-related myth or folktale regarding its origin. These stories vary widely depending on the region and beliefs. Some have the Devil as the builder of the bridge, relating to the precariousness or impossibility of such a bridge to last or exist in the first place, so much so that only the Devil himself could have built it. Others have the knowledge to build such bridges given to the mankind as a gift from the Devil as part of a deal, pact or bargain between the Devil and local populace, usually in exchange for their souls.

🔎 ABOUT TEUFELSBRUCKE 🔍

Enclosed by sheer granite walls, Schöllenen Gorge road and railway require several spectacular bridges and tunnels, of which the most famous is a stone bridge known as the Teufelsbrücke ("Devil's Bridge").

In Early Modern Switzerland, a legend developed which attributed the construction of the bridge to the Devil. The legend is related by Johann Jakob Scheuchzer (1716). According to Scheuchzer, he was told a local legend according to which the people of Uri recruited the Devil for the difficult task of building the bridge. The Devil requested to receive the first thing to pass the bridge in exchange for his help. To trick the Devil, who expected to receive the soul of the first man to pass the bridge, the people of Uri sent across a dog by throwing a piece of bread, and the dog was promptly torn to pieces by the Devil. Enraged at having been tricked the Devil went to fetch a large rock to smash the bridge, but, carrying the rock back to the bridge, he came across a holy man who "scolded him" (der ihn bescholten) and forced him to drop the rock, which could still be seen on the path below Göschenen.

CRYPTIDS 101 🔴 Rougarou 🐾 "Cajun Werewolf"

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/6ib9b55EWKY

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

"Rougarou" represents a variant pronunciation and spelling of the original French loup-garou. According to Barry Jean Ancelet, an academic expert on Cajun folklore and professor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in America, the tale of the rougarou is a common legend across French Louisiana. Both words are used interchangeably in southern Louisiana. Some people call the monster rougarou; others refer to it as the loup-garou.

The rougarou legend has been spread for many generations, either directly from French settlers to Louisiana (New France) or via the French Canadian immigrants centuries ago.

In the Cajun legends, the creature is said to prowl the swamps around Acadiana and Greater New Orleans, and the sugar cane fields and woodlands of the regions. The rougarou most often is described as a creature with a human body and the head of a wolf or dog, similar to the werewolf legend.

🔹 DESCRIPTION 🔹Often the story-telling has been used to inspire fear and obedience. One such example is stories that have been told by elders to persuade Cajun children to behave. According to another variation, the wolf-like beast will hunt down and kill Catholics who do not follow the rules of Lent. This coincides with the French Catholic loup-garou stories, according to which the method for turning into a werewolf is to break Lent seven years in a row.

A common blood sucking legend says that the rougarou is under the spell for 101 days. After that time, the curse is transferred from person to person when the rougarou draws another human's blood. During that day the creature returns to human form. Although acting sickly, the human refrains from telling others of the situation for fear of being killed.

🔸 SUMMARY 🔸The stories of the creature known as a rougarou are as diverse as the spelling of its name, though they are all connected to francophone cultures through a common derived belief in the loup-garou (French pronunciation:

[lu ɡaˈʁu], /ˈluː ɡəˈruː/). Loup is French for wolf, and garou (from Frankish garulf, cognate with English werewolf) is a man who transforms into an animal.

PARANORMAL OR NOT? 👻 This way to Hell (Shadow in the Fullerton Cellar) ᴸᴺᴬᵗᵛ

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

Fullerton was founded in 1887. It secured the land on behalf of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. Historically it was a center of agriculture, notably groves of Valencia oranges and other citrus crops; petroleum extraction; transportation; and manufacturing. It is home to numerous higher educational institutions, particularly California State University, Fullerton and Fullerton College. From the mid-1940s through the late 1990s, Fullerton was home to a large industrial base made up of aerospace contractors, canneries, paper products manufacturers, and is considered to be the birthplace of the electric guitar, due in a large part to Leo Fender. The headquarters of Vons, which is owned by Albertsons, is located in Fullerton near the Fullerton-Anaheim line.

🔎 ABOUT FULLERTON'S HISTORY 🔍

Evidence of prehistoric animal habitation, such as saber-toothed cats and mammoths, is present in Ralph B. Clark Regional Park in the northwest of the city. Europeans first passed through the area in 1769 when Gaspar de Portolà led a Spanish expedition north to Monterey. From the description recorded in the diary of Father Juan Crespi, it seems likely that the party camped on July 29 near present-day Laguna Lake, in the Sunny Hills area.

After establishment of Mission San Gabriel Arcangel in 1771, the local Tongva people were dubbed "Gabrieliños" by the Spanish. In 1837, the Fullerton area became part of Rancho San Juan Cajón de Santa Ana, granted to Juan Pacifico Ontiveros, a Spanish soldier.

Ontiveros began to sell parcels of the Rancho to migrant Americans settling and developing California in the aftermath of the 1849 Gold Rush, including Massachusetts native Abel Stearns. In the 1860s, Stearns sold in turn to Domingo Bastanchury, a Basque shepherd.

In 1886 while in the area on a duck hunting vacation, Malden brothers George and Edward Amerige, heard rumors that the California Central Railroad, a subsidiary of the Santa Fe Railway, was looking for land. Sensing opportunity, they arranged to buy 430 acres (1.7 km2) north of Anaheim for approximately $68,000.

They then began negotiations with George H. Fullerton, president of the Pacific Land and Improvement Company, also a Santa Fe subsidiary. They offered free right-of-way and half interest in the land to the railroad if Fullerton's survey were revised to include the proposed town site, and on July 5, 1887 Edward Amerige formally staked his claim at what is now the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Commonwealth Avenue.

In 1894 Charles Chapman, a retired Chicago publisher and a descendant of John "Johnny Appleseed" Chapman, purchased an orange orchard in eastern Fullerton. The Valencia variety of oranges he promoted from his Santa Ysabel Ranch, well suited to the local climate, proved a boon to producers; Fullerton boasted more orange groves than any other municipality in the United States. Cultivation of walnuts and avocados also flourished, and the Western railroad town became an agricultural center. Fullerton was incorporated in 1904, but not officially recognized until 1907, due to conflicts at that time.

CRYPTIDS 101 🔴 Sheepsquatch 🐾 "Boone County Beast"

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/tzDo0R1AmsI

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

Sheepsquatch, also known as the "White Thing", is a woolly-haired cryptid reported across numerous counties in West Virginia, predominantly within the southwestern region of the state. The counties with the most sightings are Boone, Kanawha, Putnam and Mason, with a surge in sightings taking place in Boone County during the mid-1990s.

🔹 DESCRIPTION 🔹

It is described as being a quadruped about the size of a bear, with entirely white wool-like fur. It has a long and pointed head, similar to a dog but with long, saber-like teeth and a single-pint set of horns not dissimilar from those found on a young goat. Its forelimbs end in paw-like hands, similar to those of a raccoon but larger, while its tail is long and hairless like that of an opossum. It is reputed to smell like sulfur, which has been attributed through folklore to the beast being born within the TNT Area in Mason County like one of the Mothman theories, though this is not likely and instead may be a musk scent gland similar to those found in many species in the order Carnivora such as weasels and skunks.

🔸 SUMMARY 🔸In Fulks Run, Virginia, the beast was spotted once again in the forests of Appalachia. The creature was spotted close to midnight by six campers, spending the night in the dense woods. The beast was reportedly 8-9 feet tall with a shoulder length of 4-5 feet. One of the campers first saw the beast at the top of the near by hill, in a crouching position. Then it stood up, and he alerted the other campers. Then it started running down the steep hill toward the campers, but they were separated by the river that was flowing through. They look in horror as it searched for a way to cross, and with no other option, began to wade through the river. It finally came out of the water, and the campers reported that it appeared like a bipedal dog in the chest, with its fur wet from the river crossing. Then a loud gut-based screech was heard about two miles off from where they were. Then the Sheepsquatch looked up in shock, just high enough so the moonlight was in its face, and the campers looked on in fear as it let out a pathetic whimper, then in a sprint, ran in the opposite direction of the noise. The campers quickly packed and left, then reported it to the locals, fearing that if the authorities were informed, they would be ridiculed. The identity of the campers is unknown as of March 2016.

PARANORMAL OR NOT? 👻 Big Brother Ghost Girl (Dreamworld Rapids Tragedy) ᴸᴺᴬᵗᵛ

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

The Thunder River Rapids Ride was a river rapid type water ride located in the Town of Gold Rush section of the Dreamworld theme park on the Gold Coast, Australia. After four riders were killed on it in late October 2016, the ride was closed. On 9 November 2016, Ardent Leisures' CEO announced that the ride would not reopen, and was to be demolished. In October 2017, police recommended that no criminal charges be laid against any person in relation to the deaths.

🔎 ABOUT THUNDER RIVER RAPIDS 🔍

Gold Rush Country (now known as the Town of Gold Rush) opened on 11 December 1986. The area featured the Eureka Mountain Mine Ride and the Thunder River Rapids Ride. Although resembling an Intamin River rapids ride, Thunder River Rapids was neither built nor supplied by Intamin. A Sydney-based company was commissioned to supply the vessels in 1983. The Thunder River Rapids Ride was among the most popular rides at Dreamworld until its closure.

On 25 October 2016, a malfunction of the Thunder River Rapids Ride resulted in the deaths of four people. This is regarded as the worst accident at an Australian theme park since the 1979 Sydney Ghost Train fire at Luna Park Sydney. Due to the failure of one of the two large water pumps essential for the ride's operation, the water level in the ride dropped quickly causing a raft, which was occupied by six guests, to become stranded on support rails near the end of the raft conveyor and unable to reach to unloading area. Approximately one minute later, another raft carrying six passengers moved down the conveyor and collided with the first stranded raft. Both rafts pivoted upwards driven by movement of the conveyor before the first raft fell back to a level position resting on support rails. The second raft was further moved by the conveyor into a vertical position and subsequently caused passengers to either fall out of the raft or become trapped in close proximity to the conveyor mechanism leading to fatal injuries for four passengers. The other two passengers, both children, were able to climb out of the raft, still in its vertical orientation, to nearby platforms once the conveyor had been shut down by ride staff. Park operators stopped the ride and started draining the river, over 7 paramedic crews responded to the 000 call along with firefighters and police. The recovery of the bodies went on into the early hours of the next morning with some paramedics requiring counseling due to the trauma of the scene.

CRYPTIDS 101 🔴 Dogman 🐾 "Michigan's Cunning Canine"

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/pL4mpIj69_4

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

The Michigan Dogman is a werewolf or werewolf type creature first reported in 1887 in Wexford County, Michigan. Sightings have been reported in several locations throughout Michigan, primarily in the northwestern quadrant of the Lower Peninsula. In 1987, the legend of the Michigan Dogman gained popularity when a disc jockey at WTCM-FM recorded a song about the creature and its reported sightings.

🔹 DESCRIPTION 🔹The first known sighting of the Michigan Dogman occurred in 1887 in Wexford County, when two lumberjacks saw a creature whom they described as having a man's body and a dog's head.

In 1938 in Paris, Michigan, Robert Fortney was attacked by five wild dogs and said that one of the five walked on two legs. Reports of similar creatures also came from Allegan County in the 1950s, and in Manistee and Cross Village in 1967.

🔸 SUMMARY 🔸

Linda S. Godfrey, in her book The Beast of Bray Road, compares the Manistee sightings to a similar creature sighted in Wisconsin known as the Beast of Bray Road.

In 1961, a night watchman was patrolling a manufacturing plant in Big Rapids, Michigan when he saw a peculiar figure. At first he thought it was a person until he saw the doglike features. He pulled his gun and was about to shoot when he remembered his camera and took it out and took a picture of the horrific beast. The photos have not been analyzed yet, and the photo still remains an unsolved mystery.

PARANORMAL OR NOT? 👻 Hunting Jinn (Jann, Ifrit, Marid, Shaitan & Ghul)

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

Jinn (Arabic: جن‎, jinn), also Romanized as djinn or Anglicized as genies (with the more broad meaning of spirits or demons, depending on source), are supernatural creatures in early pre-Islamic Arabian and later Islamic mythology and theology. Like humans, they are created with fitra, neither born as believers nor as unbelievers, but their attitude depends on whether they accept God's guidance. Since jinn are neither innately evil nor innately good, Islam acknowledged spirits from other religions, it's not a strictly Islamic concept; many cultures around the world (other than Abrahamic faiths) have a sense of supernatural creatures that falls within the description of the Jinn.

🔎 ABOUT JINN 🔍

Although the Quran reduced the status of jinn from that of tutelary deities to merely spirits, placed parallel to humans, subject to God's judgment and the process of life, death and afterlife, they were not consequently equated with demons. When Islam spread outside of Arabia, belief in the jinn was assimilated with local belief about spirits and deities from Iran, Africa, Turkey and India.

Early Persian translations of the Quran identified the jinn either with peris or divs depending on their moral behavior. However, such identifications of jinn with spirits of another culture are not universal. Some of the pre-Islamic spirits remained. Peris and divs are frequently attested as distinct from jinn among Muslim lore, but since both div as well as jinn are associated with demonic and the ability to transform themselves, they overlap sometimes.

Especially Morocco has many possession traditions, including exorcism rituals, despite the fact, jinn's ability to possess humans is not mentioned in canonical Islamic scriptures directly. Jinn can not enter a person whenever the jinn wants, rather the victim must be predisposed for possession in a state of dha'iyfah (Arabic: ضَعِيفَة, "weakness"). Feelings of insecurity, mental instability, unhappy love and depression (being "tired from the soul") are forms of dha'iyfah.

CRYPTIDS 101 🔴 The Sabine Thing 🐾 "Louisiana's Bigfoot Monster"

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/8G8kJesN0Fo

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

In 2000, residents of Sabine reported seeing a gray, ape-like creature in the area's dense forests. The local newspaper dubbed the creature the "Sabine Thing".

A similar beast called the "Caddo Critter" is said to have inhabited the bottoms around scenic Caddo Lake in the 1970's. The Sulphur River along the Texas-Arkansas border has been a source of similar sightings for decades.

🔹 DESCRIPTION 🔹

"It was a heavily built two legged animal with a round or slightly elongated head and eyes that shined/glowed amber in my headlights. I saw it move its head and look at me or my car. If I had to estimate its height, it would be six feet to six feet six inches if standing erect. I never mentioned this incident to anyone until last year my son and I watched a bigfoot program on TV."

🔸 SUMMARY 🔸There’s an old Caddoan legend that says the Great Spirit warned a Caddo Chief to move his village or else the earth would swallow it. Ignoring the vision, not long afterward, the Chief was leading a hunting party a great distance away when the ground began to shake violently. Upon returning to the village, they discovered it was sunk beneath a lake that had never existed before.

Contemporary geologists tell us there may some basis for the legend. The Missouri earthquake of 1811 caused a blockage of the Red River, and water poured into the the region now known as Caddo Lake, forming what has been called one of the most diverse regions of North America.

PARANORMAL OR NOT? 👻 Wreck of the Méduse (Death Raft) ᴸᴺᴬᵗᵛ

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/VUSRK7GGei4

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

Méduse was a 40-gun Pallas-class frigate of the French Navy, launched in 1810. She took part in the Napoleonic Wars during the late stages of the Mauritius campaign of 1809–1811 and in raids in the Caribbean.

In 1816, following the Bourbon Restoration, Méduse was armed en flûte to ferry French officials to the port of Saint-Louis, in Senegal, to formally re-establish French occupation of the colony under the terms of the First Peace of Paris. Through inept navigation by her captain, an incompetent émigré naval officer who was given command for political reasons, Méduse struck the Bank of Arguin off the coast of present-day Mauritania and became a total loss.

🔎 ABOUT THE DEATH RAFT 🔍

Most of the 400 passengers on board evacuated, with 151 men forced to take refuge on an improvised raft towed by the frigate's launches. The towing proved impractical, however, and the boats soon abandoned the raft and its passengers in the open ocean. Without any means of navigating to shore, the situation aboard the raft rapidly turned disastrous.

Dozens were washed into the sea by a storm, while others, drunk from wine, rebelled and were killed by officers. When supplies ran low, several injured men were thrown into the sea, and some of the survivors resorted to cannibalism. After 13 days at sea, the raft was discovered with only 15 men still alive.

CRYPTIDS 101 🔴 Jersey Devil 🐾 "Story of Daniel Leed" ᴸᴺᴬᵗᵛ

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/VoFPogv-Gmk

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

According to popular folklore, the Jersey Devil originated with a Pine Barrens resident named Jane Leeds, known as Mother Leeds. The legend states that Mother Leeds had 12 children and, after finding she was pregnant for the 13th time, cursed the child in frustration, crying that the child would be the devil. During 1735, Mother Leeds was in labor on a stormy night while her friends gathered around her. Born as a normal child, the thirteenth child changed to a creature with hooves, a goat's head, bat wings, and a forked tail. Growling and screaming, it beat everyone with its tail before flying up the chimney and heading into the pines. In some versions of the tale, Mother Leeds was supposedly a witch and the child's father was the devil himself. Some versions of the legend also state that there was subsequently an attempt by local clergymen to exorcise the creature from the Pine Barrens.

🔹 DESCRIPTION 🔹

In Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia folklore, the Jersey Devil (also known as the Leeds Devil) is a legendary creature said to inhabit the Pine Barrens of South Jersey. The creature is often described as a flying biped with hooves, but there are many variations. The common description is that of a kangaroo-like or wyvern-like creature with a goat- or horse-like head, leathery bat-like wings, horns, small arms with clawed hands, legs with cloven hooves, and a forked tail. It has been reported to move quickly and is often described as emitting a high-pitched "blood-curdling scream".

🔸 SUMMARY 🔸

There have been many claims of sightings and occurrences involving the Jersey Devil.

According to legend, while visiting the Hanover Mill Works to inspect his cannonballs being forged, Commodore Stephen Decatur sighted a flying creature and fired a cannonball directly upon it, to no effect.

Joseph Bonaparte, elder brother of Napoleon, is also claimed to have seen the Jersey Devil while hunting on his Bordentown estate about 1820. During 1840, the Jersey Devil was blamed for several livestock killings. Similar attacks were reported during 1841, accompanied by tracks and screams.

In Greenwich during December 1925, a local farmer shot an unidentified animal as it attempted to steal his chickens, and then photographed the corpse. Afterward, he claimed that none of 100 people he showed it to could identify it. On July 27, 1937, an unknown animal "with red eyes" seen by residents of Downingtown, Pennsylvania was compared to the Jersey Devil by a reporter for the Pennsylvania Bulletin of July 28, 1937.

CRYPTIDS 101 🔴 Devil Monkey 🐾 "Deadly Demon Primate" ᴸᴺᴬᵗᵛ

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/U1HD2njl8xo

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

In 1973, famed cryptozoologist and author Lauren Coleman investigated reports of three, black bushy-tailed “giant monkeys” that were said to have slaughtered livestock in Albany, Kentucky. Coleman mentioned the event in an interview with Animal Planet: “I investigated that case in depth. I interviewed the people, who were very sincere. In the whole context of devil monkey reports, it seemed extremely sincere.

🔹 DESCRIPTION 🔹

There have been reports of "Devil monkeys" which are large baboon like primates that are now being spotted in the wooded areas of Flagstaff, Arizona. The eye witness said that she noticed her dog was acting very agitated when they we're on they're hike through Mt. Elden forest trail, when she noticed a small group of primitive looking creatures scurrying through the rocks. She described them as 4-5 feet tall, very quick and agile. These so called creatures are called "Devil Monkeys" in other places of the United States. There have also been other sightings in other states such as New Mexico, Utah and Colorado.

Unique breeds of monkey have been described as being about 3 to 4 feet tall, although some eyewitnesses have sworn that these furry fiends can reach a height that is in excess of 7 feet.

🔸 SUMMARY 🔸

You have these reports of hairy, monkey-like creatures with tails, very different from Bigfoot.” In 1979, there was a spate of reported encounters with a bipedal, monkey-like critter known as the Bigfoot which hailed from the rural depths of Georgia. One female eyewitness described it as: “The ugliest looking thing I've ever seen… (it had a tail) like a beaver’s, but it’s bushy.” She also claimed in bore “a face like a dog.” These traits are all known to be Devil Monkey characteristics. In fact, more than a few eyewitnesses have describe these beasts as resembling a wild dog at a distance, which suggests that this creature may employ both bipedal and quadrupedal locomotion.

CRYPTIDS 101 🔴 Fouke Monster 🐾 "Legend of Boggy Creek" ᴸᴺᴬᵗᵛ

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/xaE3g2sDz90

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

In Arkansas folklore, the Fouke Monster is said to have been seen in Fouke in Miller County, Arkansas, during the early 1970s. The creature was accused of attacking a local family. Initial sightings of the creature were concentrated in the Jonesville/Boggy Creek area, where it was blamed for the destruction of local livestock. Later, sightings were reported several hundred miles to the north and the east of Fouke. The monster may initially have been created when misidentified bears were seen and some of the purported tracks may have been forged.

The creature was named by journalist Jim Powell, who reported on it for the Texarkana Gazette and the Texarkana Daily News.

🔹 DESCRIPTION 🔹

Various reports between 1971 and 1974 described the creature as being a large hominid-like creature covered in long dark hair, which was estimated to be about 7 feet (2 m) tall with a weight of 250–300 pounds (110–140 kg). Witnesses said that its chest was about 3 feet (1 m) wide.[citation needed] Later reports, published during the early 1980s, claimed that it was far larger, with one report describing it as 10 feet (3 m) tall, with an estimated weight of 800 pounds (360 kg).

Some accounts describe the Fouke Monster as running swiftly with a galloping gait and swinging its arms in a fashion similar to a monkey. Reports also describe it as having a terrible odor, the odor being described as a combination of a skunk and a wet dog, and as having bright red eyes about the size of silver dollars.

A variety of tracks and claw marks have been discovered which are claimed to belong to the creature. One set of foot prints reportedly measured 17 inches (43 cm) in length and 7 inches (18 cm) wide, while another appeared to show that the creature had only three toes.

🔸 SUMMARY 🔸

The first reported sightings were in 1953, and in 1955 when it was spotted by a 14-year-old boy. The boy described it as having reddish brown hair, sniffing the air, and not reacting when it was fired upon with birdshot. Investigator Joe Nickell observed that the description was consistent with a misidentified black bear (Ursus americanus).

Although most cases date from the early 1970s onwards, Fouke residents claim that an ape-like creature had roamed the area since 1964, but those sightings had not been reported to news services. Local legend also holds that the creature can be further traced back to sightings in 1946. Most early sightings were in the region of Jonesville. Owing to this, the creature was known as the "Jonesville Monster" during this period.

Prior to the 20th century reports, several reports in the general area have been tied to the Fouke Monster. The two most widely circulated reports focus on an 1851 report in the Memphis Enquirer, and an 1856 report in the Caddo Gazette.

CRYPTIDS 101 🔴 Wendigo 🐾 "An Ancient Powerful Demon" ᴸᴺᴬᵗᵛ

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/eW9TwrGbiOg

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

The wendigo (/ˈwɛndɪɡoʊ/)(also wetiko) is a mythological creature or evil spirit from the folklore of the First Nations Algonquian tribes based in the northern forests of Nova Scotia, the East Coast of Canada, and Great Lakes Region of Canada and in Wisconsin, United States. The wendigo is described as a monster with some characteristics of a human or as a spirit who has possessed a human being and made them become monstrous. Its influence is said to invoke acts of murder, insatiable greed, cannibalism and the cultural taboos against such behaviors.

🔹 SUMMARY🔹The wendigo is part of the traditional belief system of a number of Algonquin-speaking peoples, including the Ojibwe, the Saulteaux, the Cree, the Naskapi, and the Innu. Although descriptions can vary somewhat, common to all these cultures is the view that the wendigo is a malevolent, cannibalistic, supernatural being. They were strongly associated with winter, the north, coldness, famine, and starvation.

🔸 DESCRIPTION 🔸

Basil H. Johnston, an Ojibwe teacher and scholar from Ontario, gives a description of a wendigo:

The Wendigo was gaunt to the point of emaciation, its desiccated skin pulled tightly over its bones. With its bones pushing out against its skin, its complexion the ash-gray of death, and its eyes pushed back deep into their sockets, the Wendigo looked like a gaunt skeleton recently disinterred from the grave. What lips it had were tattered and bloody ... Unclean and suffering from suppuration of the flesh, the Wendigo gave off a strange and eerie odor of decay and decomposition, of death and corruption.

In Ojibwe, Eastern Cree, Westmain Swampy Cree, Naskapi, and Innu lore, wendigos are often described as giants that are many times larger than human beings, a characteristic absent from myths in other Algonquian cultures. Whenever a wendigo ate another person, it would grow in proportion to the meal it had just eaten, so it could never be full. Therefore, wendigos are portrayed as simultaneously gluttonous and extremely thin due to starvation.

The Wendigo is seen as the embodiment of gluttony, greed, and excess: never satisfied after killing and consuming one person, they are constantly searching for new victims.

CRYPTIDS 101 🔴 Beast of Bray Road 🐾 "Wisconsin's Werewolf" ᴸᴺᴬᵗᵛ

FULL VIDEO 👉 https://youtu.be/imIssRZP224

ℹ️ INFO ℹ️

The Beast of Bray Road (or the Bray Road Beast) is a creature reported in 1936 on a rural road outside of Elkhorn, Wisconsin. The same label has been applied to other sightings from southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

🔹 DESCRIPTION 🔹Bray Road is a quiet rural road near the community of Elkhorn. The rash of claimed sightings in the late 1980's and early 1990's prompted a local newspaper, the Walworth County Week, to assign reporter Linda Godfrey to cover the story. Godfrey was initially skeptical, but later became convinced of the sincerity of the witnesses. Her series of articles later became a book titled The Beast of Bray Road: Tailing Wisconsin's Werewolf.

🔸 SUMMARY 🔸The Beast of Bray Road is described by purported witnesses in several ways: as a bear-like creature, as a hairy biped resembling Bigfoot, and as an unusually large (2–4 feet tall on all fours, 7 feet tall standing up) intelligent werewolf-like creature able to walk on its hind legs and weighing 400-700 pounds. It's also said that its fur is a brown gray color resembling a dog or bear.
