You may have noticed that we did not release an interview episode this Tuesday. We deliberately chose to forgo posting an episode this week to allow ourselves and our community some extra space to process and learn about the Black Lives Matter movement happening in our country. We are unequivocally behind calls for reform and for equitable justice in this country for our black brothers, sisters and siblings. We are both in the midst of waking up to the systems in our country that have dehumanized black people of color and are educating ourselves on what we can do.
Here we discuss our personal processes over the past couple weeks and offer some resources that we've been paying attention to as we learn to listen to what people of color have been saying for years about the bias and unequal systems in our country.
We are not experts here. We are not teachers. We may have even gotten something wrong in this recording. We are here as fellow students. We're not here to be right. We're here to get it right. Grace and peace, friends.
In today’s episode, Stephen and Dixie Lee get to know Krista Robertson! She lives in Baltimore, Maryland with her family as her husband works a high level residency program.
