Just like nature follows a cyclical pattern through its seasons, we too must learn to honor the wisdom of stillness. When we carry too much on our shoulders, when it’s constant chaos in our minds, or we constantly rush after time, and cannot seem to stop ourselves from the relentless pursuit of our ambitions; we end up feeling depleted. So, today I'm inviting you to reconnect to your true essence and inner peace through stillness and conscious rest amidst the outer chaos.

We’ve all heard about Feng shui, this ancient Chinese philosophy developed over 5,000 years ago. Turns out Feng shui is more than having a beautiful home with lots of flow and pretty decoration, it’s also about mindset. Today, let’s uncover how decluttering our minds through Feng shui can bring us mind clarity and improve our mindset.
I invited, Jeannette Cieszykowski, founder of Elemental Clarity, and classical Feng Shui consultant to educate us during this conversation. In the last 10 years, she’s been supporting people in creating an energy-rich home-life that supports their health, wealth, and happiness by using Feng-Shui. Aiming to transform their spaces, mindsets, and lives.

As a follow-up to last month's episode which pushed us to overcome change and uncertainty when faced with newness. Today we're fully jumping into our next chapter, accepting it all, even when it's not all sunshine and rainbows. Yes, new things - including great opportunities or living our dreams often lead us to a very layered experience making us feel both gratitude and excitement as well as fear, dissociation, unworthiness, and attachment to the old. Let's see how to be at peace with this duality, feel the fear and fully accept this new chapter with everything it has to offer.

I believe to sustainably carry out a healthy diet it needs to be more than a diet but habits rooted in mindfulness and enjoyment. Let's talk about plant-based nutrition from a holistic perspective and learn how transformational it can be in concomittance with grounding mindfulness practices such as yoga.
For this conversation, I invited the radiant Whitney Miner, a certified holistic nutritionist, yoga instructor, and the founder of Eat Plants & Prosper - a wellness blog with tons of tips on living a plant-based lifestyle for regular people like you and me. She’s a fervent advocate for designing a holistic health lifestyle based on bringing consciousness in our daily meals and movement in our bodies to live the most fulfilling life we can. Let’s get back in charge of our long-term health.

If you want a healthy brain you might want to look at what’s on your plate.
The brain takes up 20% of our energy resources. And the only way for our body to fill up our energy resources is with food but not any kind of food.
I invited Dr Jaz Robbins, a therapist and board-certified holistic nutritionist to educate us on the strong link between our dietary patterns and our mental health. This conversation fully highlights the incomparable impact nutrition has on our brains, particularly our mental health. A testament that utrition is an integral part of conscious living.

As a "recovering perfectionist", I’ve already talked about perfectionism several times on this podcast but it’s always a good reminder to revisit the subject because sometimes we have to heal the same thing multiple times to fully remove all of the remnants of it. I am super honored to have Kristina Mänd-Lakhiani discuss this very subject with me today. Kristina is the co-founder of the mega self-development learning platform Mindvalley, you know the one with all of the personal development superstars. Our beliefs shape our reality. Throughout life, starting with childhood, we pick up beliefs from others along the way. We definitely cannot control everything, we actually have little control in life but what we control is our thoughts. The ones we choose to feed and interact with. We can rewire our thinking patterns to empower ourselves and live the life we desire, instead of suffering through life.
So how do we revamp our current belief system, clear out our negative beliefs, and shift to the universal truth in order to thrive in life?
To answer this question, I invited Hale Dwoskin, New York Times best-selling author, one of the featured teachers of the book and movie phenomenon, “The Secret,” and in the sequel documentary film "The Greatest Secret” by the same director among other features. " He is the co-founder of Sedona Training Associates, an organization that teaches courses based on emotional releasing techniques. Hale has dedicated his life to helping people eliminate their suffering and discover the truth of who they truly are. He’s also the co-author of many groundbreaking personal development books.

“Compassion and tolerance are not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength.” – Dalai Lama
Everyone has their own way to deal with their pain. Nonetheless, oftentimes, we tend to opt for hitting when it hurts when we are hurt by another person or just hurt for whatever reason. As a way to cope with our pain, we share or deflect our pain on someone else, we point fingers and blame others because it’s too much to bear alone. When we can in fact, choose compassion and healing instead of hatred and reacting from our wounded self.
Which led me to wonder how self-acceptance and embodying our truest self develop compassion inside of us to bring more happiness into our personal lives and into the collective wellbeing as well?
To help me answer to this question, I invited Chris Cirak, the author of the book “Be You: The Journey of Self-Realization”, meditation teacher and mindfulness retreat leader. Chris teaches living a life of joy and self-realisation through empathy, presence, mindfulness, and human values.

There is no better time than the month of love to talk about the heart. The one that is responsible for making us feel and connect with self and others. The one that sometimes makes us think that it has a mind of its own, communicating messages to both our brain and our gut.
To uncover the secrets or maybe the superpower of the heart, I’ll be discussing it with Dr. Madalina Petrescu, a leading cardiologist, also author, co-founder of HeartQ method, and practitioner of various conscious healing modalities with the heart at their center.
She guides people to reconnect with their authentic selves and with the mission of activating our heart intelligence to live a heart-centered, aligned, and fulfilling life.

The first thing that comes to mind when we think about health is physical health, right? At the beginning of the year, many of us have new resolutions usually around health that essentially revolve around our bodies. But we often forget that the state of our body is also a consequence of the state of our mental and spiritual health.
I understand being healthy as something transcendental to the body only. We can approach health from a 360 perspective. That's exactly what we expand on in this episode with Kerry Fisher, a lawyer turned author, coach, and teacher for athletes, corporations, and private clients in a variety of disciplines including mindset, meditation, breath work, physiology, and personal development. In this conversation, she also shares some gems from her past books as well as her upcoming one putting holistic health at their center.
So let’s fully reboot for this new year and make sure our health is top-notch.

We all want to live the life of our dreams, and I’d say we’re very much in our right to want so. Nonetheless, to get to the desired destination we cannot avoid going through the journey of life full of ebbs and flows. I overcame most of the challenges in my life thanks to triple-ling down on mindset work. That journey actually led me to create Conscious Matters platform. As you know by now, I just recently expanded Conscious Matters to YouTube (same name, different content), thus adding another format where I mainly focus over there on mindset work. Utilizing the power of our minds to favor the outcomes of our lives is what we’ll be discussing about today with the amazing Elizabeth Thorn, writer, traveler and entrepreneur who used mindset work to completely transform her life in a way she absolutely loves!

Have you ever said yes to something out of obligation, guilt, or fear when you really did not want to? Have you ever felt taken advantage of or disrespected to a certain extent? I’ve been mentioning boundaries a lot throughout many episodes already but I think I’ve never fully dived into the nitty gritty of it. It’s super important to talk more about boundaries and how lacking them can be stressful, and detrimental to our well-being and to living in harmony with ourselves.

This month we’re trying to tame the plague of self-sabotage. Getting our inner critic to go from being our being our biggest enemy to becoming our best of friends. Stopping it to prevent us from growing, expanding, reaching our wildest desires, and truly living the life we aspire to.
What better way than discussing this subject in a way that helps us re-frame the scary parts of our ego, from battling with our inner critic to releasing fears to finally taking action while not forgetting to explore the laborious phases of self-doubt, procrastination, and lack of motivation?

We're back to talking about depression but from a lighter perspective. Who would have guessed that one of the worst period of your life could actually be a blessing in disguise? That's what I realized when I went through my own depression a few years back which eventually brought me to this path of awareness and this conscious lifestyle. That's also what - New York Times best seller author, recurring Oprah show guest, and the man who spent decades interviewing over 100 of the greatest spiritual leaders of our time to get their take on how to live a happy, peaceful, and meaningful life (including the Dalai Lama, Byron Katie, Oprah, Deepak Chopra, the late Mother Teresa and Ram Dass) - Jonathan Robinson is writing about in this latest book "The Enlightenment project: How I went from depressed to blessed and you can too." In this episode, we discuss his 14th book, in which he shares over 50 spiritual methods and philosophies that really worked to overcome his depression and providing him with lasting inner peace - from mindfulness and depression, to communication and personal transformation.

This month we’re taking advantage of this new moon right now to clean the slates and start anew stronger than ever but in order to move on healthily and efficiently forgiveness is key.
To me, forgiveness is an essential part of your growth, it’s about giving that grace to yourself by letting go of a past painful experiences. Freeing yourself from the poison of anger, bitterness, resentment, and any other low vibration feelings. It’s about reflecting and looking at things from a higher perspective.

Now that the travel restrictions seem to have been lifted in most countries, I asked myself if travel, or money, or the lack of ties or commitments, or any external element for that matter - is it what we define as true freedom? To me, freedom is about liberating your mind first- which means liberating yourself from the inside. Liberating ourselves from our mental prison. We can be free from an external perspective but are we free inside of ourselves? Freeing yourself from the confines of your mind doesn’t only give you a sense of freedom but it’s extremely powerful. The kind of quiet power that will uplift you and help you get through every storm and ultimately making you stand tall on your on two feet. That’s what we’ll be exploring today.

Let’s talk about a specific modern reality that most of the time hinders our best self. Yes, I’m talking about the one and only star of capitalism (right after money): performance productivity! The one which is often the root cause of depression, anxiety, imposter syndrome, self-sabotage, and many more mental and physical health issues. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being busy but here I’m talking about the kind of busi-ness that becomes extremely unhealthy yet the kind that is praised by our society. The one that not only gets you stuck in the rat race but also deters your mental health. Why is productivity even a core value we have as a society? Who truly does benefit from it? When men function on a 24-H cycle, and women 28-Day cycle.
Glorified performance productivity is what I want to talk about today.
Why as humans, especially the millennial generation, are we crippled with fears that lead us to incarnate a version of ourselves that is far from the reality we want to create and which messes with our mental health?

February the month referred as the “month of love”. This specific date … celebrations in general, can be seen as a good reminder to keep on putting out intentional efforts throughout the whole year towards that something that you’re celebrating on that day, to keep that energy all year around. Today, I’ll be touching on a subject very dear to me that I’d like to show more love for - even if I haven’t been vocal about it on here yet. That’s why I wanted to do an episode on showing love and affection to our dear planet. I see the month of love as a good way to start or restart being extremely appreciative of our Earth and be more mindful of our individual impact on it, making sure that we - as lucky humans- are taking care of our home. To help me doing that today, I invited sustainability educator Meg Koch who is empowering others to create impact through her tailored practical and underwhelming approach to green living.
Even if we all are responsible for doing our part, for the sole purpose of easing our way to the matter at hand, today we’ll stick to individual impact not expanding about the role and responsibility of companies and governments when it comes to the climate crisis.

I did promise you a last episode on Ayurveda: aligning your soul with Ayurveda to complete the Ayurveda mind-body-soul series. I decided to switch it up by simply taking this Ayurvedic concept of following your Dharma aka your soul purpose in this life and yet still keep my promise.
What a better way to start off 2022 than assessing our purpose?
Do you think we all have a role to play in our lives? Dharma is a Sanskrit term used in Ayurveda that is generally translated as “life purpose”. Indeed, Ayurvedic philosophy considers that we all have a particular role to play on Earth: a "righteous goal" that will guide our actions and the course of our lives. This is a common thread that acts as a compass in all the situations we encounter. Our Dharma thus becomes like a guiding star to follow, even when darkness surrounds us.
Let's dive deeper into the notion of life purpose in a more practical way.

I usually like taking the last week of December as a good time to take a breath and reflect on the last 12 months, step back, slow down to mindfully close this chapter before jumping into the new year. You perhaps feel the same at this time. Inspired to look back, contemplate and evaluate what has been going on in your life, your experiences, challenges, choices, commitments and desires, and now reassessing if they're still aligned with your path, your growth or if the cycle is done and there's nothing else to do other than to be grateful, detach, release and let them go.
In this episode, I'm doing just that. Clearing the path before the upcoming chapter of 2022.

As Jung wrote, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” Just like mentioned in the previous episode "Shadow self - Transmuting the unconscious into the conscious" shadow work is about bringing onto the forefront of our mind what has been hidden for the longest time with the aim of being free from hinderances and become whole again to live up to your true nature and potential.
Shadow work definitely helps remove any impediments from the relationship you have with others, yes - but more importantly the relationship you have with yourself. Living authentically, is about showing up to the world as the whole you with the positive and negative traits. To get there, you cannot be afraid of self exploring certain aspects of yourself.

Taking a little break from the Ayurveda series before the last episode of it and surfing back onto the solo rant wave. So here I am talking my thoughts out loud to y’all - once again!
My today’s inner reflection is about the art of letting go. Something that we all need some more practice in, I believe. We get so attached to things, to people, to places, even unhealthy habits that it often becomes detrimental to our mental health or just our overall wellbeing. That probably stems from the scarcity mentality we often carry on from a very young age or merely the over-consumption era we’re in but either way it has to go!
With Mercury retrograde and World mental health day around the corner, I felt like it was time to reflect and practice some non-attachment, letting go of the unnecessary before diving into the next cycle.
I’ll share with you what I’ve learned or actually re-learned being faced with similar situations that I’ve been confronted to in the past but now practicing another approach.

What is a healthy body without a balanced/healthy mind? There is no denying that the two are inherently linked together. The mind has a tremendous influence on our overall health. That's what I want to keep on dissecting today: how to heal our minds on all levels from the subconscious to the superconscious part of the brain with the three regulatory principles of the body, mind, and soul in Ayurveda.
If you missed part 1 of this episode "True mind-body wellness", check it out first so this episode makes more sense. Let me take you once again on my obessive quest of knowing so much more about the depths of the mind as a continuation of my Ayurveda series: A journey to healthy living with Ayurveda medicine. In other words, exploring the mind through an Ayurvedic stand-point. In this episode, we go a step further.
Today, I keep on with my conversation about uncovering how to align our minds with Ayurveda medicine. It's a deep dive into the functioning and the tools to self-assess our own well-being. Actually, taking responsibility for our wellbeing and finding balance in our life. And so much more ...
For that exploration what better than to keep on discussing with Dr Siva Mohan, Neuroscience BA holder and psychiatrist who adds Ayurveda, spiritual practices and wellness lifestyle approaches into the mix to build an unshakable awareness for self-healing.
Don't forget to check out part 1 of this episode first and to stay tuned for the last and final part of this series: Aligning your soul with Ayurveda.

As I like experimenting with different things, I felt that it was time for me to give Ayurveda a try. Since the beginning of this year, I’ve been incorporating few Ayurveda practices here and there. I wanted to take you on my discovery journey of this ancient holistic medicine.
Ayurveda medicine is so many things in one. I’ve got so many questions. Since Ayurveda is all about aligning our body, mind & soul, I’m going to follow this pattern, and make a three part series with three Ayurveda experts. We’ll start with the body, follow up with the mind and wrap up with the soul.
For part one "Aligning your mind with Ayurveda", I invited Dr. Sheetal Ajmani, Ayurveda expert, Pediatric physician, Yoga teacher, and mindfulness advocate. Don't forget to check out part 1 of this episode. In this second part we focus on food, nutrition and digestion.

In this world there is a lot of miscommunication. Words matter, they’re important and powerful. Like we discussed in the last episode about the subconscious, words are crucial when you talk to yourself. But what about using clear and effective communication that kindly expresses your thoughts, needs, and feelings to others too?
What's our why when communicating? How does our communication style impact our relationships ? Are we anchoring in consciousness when it comes to communicating with our loved ones and others?
We’re not all created equal when it comes to communication. We’re all gifted differently but one thing that’s for sure is that communicating consciously is a learnable skill.
In this episode, I discuss with Taryn Newton-Gill - women empowerment coach, Attachment Style expert, and founder of Truer Love the coaching practice that guides you to healthy love and relationships - about the influence of this fascinating Attachment Style theory on our ability to communicate consciously which forges our approach to human relationships. In this conversation, we'll uncover the tools and process that make us move from unconscious communication - which leads to may lead to conflicts or misunderstandings - to conscious communication which shows love, care, and respect. Understanding what's hidden from the view brings more awareness which makes you understand why you interact a certain way and also helps you to improve yourself and bring harmony around you.
If you want more healthy relationships in your life, this episode is for you!

"To shift your life in a desired direction, you must powerfully shift your subconscious." - Kevin L. Mitchell author.
The famous philosopher, Sigmund Freund, in the 19th century, actually ranked the 3 states of mind: the conscious mind, the subconscious mind, and the unconscious mind. Today we'll focus on the 2nd one: the subconscious mind.
If you have been a regular listener, you know how passionately intrigued by the power of the mind, I am. Looking into neuroscience, psychology, and philosophy materials, I came to understand that one of the most powerful inner forces of human behavior is the subconscious. Numerous cognitive neuroscientists have conducted studies revealing that 95 percent of our brain activity is unconscious, in other words beyond our conscious awareness.
What if we could understand the subconscious to harness its power to our advantage, and consciously design the life we want to live?
I invited transformational therapist, hypnotherapist, and Neuro-Linguistics Programming (NLP) Practitioner, Kameka Smith to discuss about the subconscious mind through transformational therapy.

It's Valentine's day! Yep, we're back at it again and while I love celebrations, to me there is no better way to celebrate love than starting with self-love. I did an episode on self-love last year, go check it out if you missed it. So to follow up, I now want to focus on self-care. We should love and care for ourselves everyday but I see Valentine’s day as a reminder of that in case we’ve been caught up in our everyday life, loosing our love and care for ourselves in the process. But the thing is ... that, even if we all know that self-care is beneficial, how to go about it is still quite broad. That's why getting a little bit of help in gaining clarity on the framework of how your energy works can not only be a great boost to your self-care but can also be utterly transformative. Who doesn't want that?
Today, we'll look at self-care through the Human Design lense with Human Design expert Allison Unruh from Color-Shift.

I finally crossed the other side and left my twenties behind me. Celebrating your big 30s during a worldwide pandemic and under full lockdown is not ideal and definitely not what I expected when looking forward to this pivotal moment in my life. Nonetheless, it gave me the opportunity to have this calm and slowness to reflect back on my past. So I felt like starting off this new decade of my life by reflecting and sharing 30 lessons I’ve learnt and continue on learning every single day - lessons that help become more self-aware of ourselves, others, the Earth and the Universe at large.
Being self-aware completely changes your perspective on life, on others, on your relationships, your thinking patterns and so on. Self-awareness is actually the 1st step which contributes to live more consciously, at least for me. Just like any issue, first recognise the problem, then fix it.
I’ll probably won’t get into each life experience that taught me each lesson, otherwise it would be an extra long podcast episode but let’s get it on with the listing.

Today I would like to talk about something that has been pressing me even though I hesitated for a while before allowing myself to put my voice out there about it. So get ready for another solo episode because I’ve got things to say!
The world has been sheltering and been on strict lockdown for almost 3 months. Now some cities are gradually starting to open up but we’re encountering other very disturbing events. I would like to touch upon that by sharing my own perspective on the worldwide transitioning time we’re going through with this pandemic, the aftermath, and the new normal that is being presented to us.

“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”

Valentine’s day, that time of the year when it’s all about love everywhere but … let’s switch things up a bit. Instead of falling into the business aspects of this day such as buying gifts, flowers and also looking for approval of someone else and calling your partner your “half”; let’s focus this talk on YOU, on self-love. The type of love that nourishes you deep inside and which is the key to love others fairly and healthily.
Today’s episode is a little bit different from the previous ones. I was very keen on bringing you a great guest, as usual, to exchange on self-love but something was sort of blocking me in the process of doing so. I still wanted to genuinely encourage you to keep on cultivating your self-love. I had to listen to my gut feeling and stop for a moment. It got me thinking … that’s when I had this ah-ha moment: “you want to talk about self-love but with someone else, isn’t it contradictory or at least ambivalent?” I had to admit that, in a sense, yes absolutely, the power of the word “self” in the term “self-love” is so strong that I should maybe focus on that, and this time, have myself talk about what “self-love” means to ME. Not saying that opening the conversation with others about self-love is a no-no. I am actually a strong believer in adding different perspectives on the same topic to add more substance and value. Nonetheless, this time it felt right to express my own thoughts on this conscious matter.
So here we are with me rambling by myself about self-love.

I decided to theme 2020: unleash your inner power. Even though we can reassess ourselves at any time, to me this beginning of the new year feels like the perfect time to set my intentions of what kind of life I want to live and love. A time to live in my truth, speak up, advocate for what I stand for, embrace my full-self and share my gift to the world. In this episode, I exchange with Tedx talk speaker Janine Esbrand, a woman who stepped into HER power which improved her life to have it all. She is the hero of many career-driven women who find themselves overwhelmed, feeling unprepared for their new position or career, and often are at a crossroads between their own well-being, being present in their own personal lives and delivering high-quality work.
She decided to trade her prestigious position with becoming a consultant lawyer and building her own business. Giving her the flexibility to focus on expanding her career as a coach so she could share her experience and efficient tools with other women transitioning to a consequential life shift. Fully embracing and unleashing her inner power actually led her to live a life in which she does everything she loves and has fun while doing so.
Her work helps those women live more consciously in a way that they find balance in their lives. Janine created a beautiful supportive community of women who are living a life they chose. Today Janine and I talk about limiting beliefs, getting your power back, positive thinking, manifesting your goals into reality, finding your tribe, shining in your uniqueness and more.

With a following of almost 200K people on YouTube, Pura Rasa is the meditation teacher and energy healer everybody talks about. With her eclectic panel of visually animated meditations, she is revolutionizing the way we usually see this practice. With Rasa’s soothing voice meditation is the opposite of boring, long and dreadful. Her meditations repertoire touches so many different themes from deep relaxation, the law of attraction to sleep aid, among others, and varies in time from 5 min session to 1-hour ones. Everybody finds the healing they need that fits their schedule.
Rasa is truly an inspiring being - who managed to create a safe space online to quiet your mind and feel grounded. Her transformative meditations had such a positive influence in my own life when I dealt with anxiety and a burn-out. A few years later, I still use Rasa’s meditations as part of my self-care routine and self-development journey. As a woman, a healer, an entrepreneur and a mindfulness advocate she shares with us today how conscious living has had a huge impact on her life.
