Earlier this year, Radio Voorwaarts visited and took part in artistic communities in Latin America, exchanging work and ideas. There, they saw works embodying the same countercultural spirit which they find so empowering on this side of the world. Latinx Countercultures is a way of bringing those visions of dissent – those allies from across the ocean – back home.
This first edition centers on liminal spaces of dreams, identity, and non-conformist sexuality/gender expression. Join us at Het Kløkhuis Amsterdam – a currently squatted social center and living space run by the Kinderen van Mokum collective, who repeatedly make their voice heard in the struggle for housing justice and alternative culture.
