Zlatan is citizen of this world and is located in a liquid Jungle Universe, meanwhile reality locked him up somewhere in Germany. As there are some Zlatans of dubious reputation in the scene we added dnb at the end.
The Album „From Dance till Dawn“ comes with 7 Tracks connecting the Drum and the Bass with Salsa, Bossa Nova and other Tropical Styles. You can hear this clearly in the title track which is split into Dance and Dawn. „The Dance“ with Salsa and Bass Vibes and „the Dawn“ with mad Junglistic Vibes from the Future.

Punky Reggae Party was a Song by Bob Marley and Lee Perry released in London 1977 where Jamaican immigrants, Rastas, Punx, Rudeboys and Skinheads – all people out of the so called working class – celebrating their Partys in togetherness against the downpressure System.
As we all know, Cumbia could share the stage with other different styles. So we heard the Reggae Cumbia Style or Balkumbia, Cumbia works fine with Jazz and as Downbeat. Today we mix up the Style with Punk.
Andrés: As I started to make music I was Guitar Player in a Punk Band, was writing a Fanzine, organizing Concerts in my Hometown and Touring for British Punkbands in Germany. This was around 1985. Now 2024, after more than 15 years with the loved Cumbia nothing really changed.
On this Ep you will have Misfits Glen Danzig, Black Flag, the Dead Kennedys timewarping O.S.D.B. back into the 90s and Motörheads Lemmy Kilmister steppin on chilled Cumbia Beats. Son del Barrio: fuimos somos y seremos Punks antes que nada. Radical sistema!!!

When I first heard of DJ Saeg I know him as Tour DJ for Lengualerta, later I got to know the the man is really versatile and this one is bringing in the Steppers Sound. Mexico City Underground Sound. Kalumet comes from Malta and is one of the oldschool master and storytellers of the psychedelic trance scene. This one come with a lot of dubby Styles. We have El Satanico, the Philosoph, the Dark Cumbia Tales, the new school from CDMX and last but not least El Extravagante somewhere between Chile Y France, Mastermind of the Cosmovison Label.

Original Son del Barrio, from Monterrey; presenting their first album Tropical Gueto. A trip through different neighbourhoods, with a collection of sounds ranging from Digital Cumbia and Hip-hop to Reggae and Tropical bass. Created as a collaboration between Mexico and Germany (featuring founding member and singer Angel Perez, and Dj and producer Andres Digital), this tropical experiment begins with a series of concerts in Rome, Amsterdam and Paris. Plans are laid for the co-production of Tropical Gueto in said tour; and the resulting efforts saw the participation of Indepe Roots, Bianca Ciocca, Moska Hernandez, Joyce Musicolor and Feo Feo Records; as well as Gran Om, on art duties.
Tropical Gueto sets the bar high for Digital Cumbia, setting a clear benchmark for the genre. Angel Perez (aka Son del Barrio) lends his voice to the streets and the “barrio” culture of Monterrey, in the expressive language of his own lyrics and compositions; through the sensitivity and technical ingenuity of producer and Dj Andres Digital

8 – Fiesta en las Calles – Kumbia Boruka
The roots of Kumbia Boruka are to be found in Monterrey, the cumbia capital of Mexico and the place where Hernan Cortés, the accordion player and band leader, grew up in the eighties. He didn’t only learn to play the accordion from the living legend of Mexican cumbia, Celso Piña, but he was also the percussionist in the band of Celso Piña during long international tours. With two albums and more than 250 shows, Kumbia Boruka has fulfilled his challenge by making the Old Continent vibrate at the emblematic rhythm of Latin America, the Cumbia.

Contento like to call their sound salsapunk and there’s definitely some truth in that. This is salsa slimmed down to its snakey unrelenting groove, though the Colombian twosome can’t help but get political, showing their clear disgust for what’s happening in Colombia right now. An urgency born from the civil unrest that’s become commonplace these past few years in Latin America, and which has specifically brought Colombia to its knees in recent months. Budget cuts that chiefly affect the working class, coupled with ambivalence from those in power, has created a tsunami of distrust and a need to force change that’s only been amplified by the police aggression that protesters have come up against.

El Barrio recalls the classic spirit of the Medellín salsa of the 70s and 80s, corner salsa and steep streets, verbena and colors. In this song, the trumpet, the beats and a simple chorus generate a delicious and well applied formula that easily captures the listener and the dancer. This salsa-steppa is the union between the neighborhood salsa brava and the more electronic and danceable side of dub: the Steppa. Released on Folcore.
