Cross Point Church is focused on communicating the timeless truth of God’s Word in a culturally relevant way by incorporating the use of video, music, props, and drama to create a multi-dimensional approach to understanding and applying God’s Word to our lives today.
In Acts 8:1-8, the early church faces unimaginable hardship. Stephen has been killed, persecution is intensifying and followers of Jesus are being scattered from their homes. Life is hard, and Scripture doesn’t pretend otherwise. But what looks like the end of the story becomes the beginning of something God uses to move the gospel forward.
The believers who were scattered didn’t abandon their mission. Wherever they went, they shared the good news of Jesus. Philip, an ordinary follower of Jesus, went to Samaria and God worked through his obedience in extraordinary ways. That same invitation is available to us today.
It’s easy to look at someone else’s life, compare our calling to theirs and imagine that life would be easier if our circumstances were different. But as Kevin reminds us, as long as we’re fantasizing about somebody else’s life, we’re not living our own. God has placed you where you are for a purpose. He can move around you, but He would rather move through you.
Where might God be calling you to live with greater purpose, courage and urgency today?
You can go to church, pray, serve and do all the right things, but is it possible to still miss the heart of following Jesus?
In Acts 6-7, Stephen shows us what a life fully surrendered to Jesus looks like. Facing rejection, opposition and ultimately death, Stephen remained rooted in God’s Word, connected to God’s heart and trusting in God’s timing.
In this message, Dave Stone reminds us that religious activity is no substitute for a real relationship with Jesus. Following Christ isn’t simply about what we do for Him. It’s about knowing Him, trusting Him and allowing that relationship to shape how we live, especially when life gets difficult.
Stephen’s story challenges us to consider whether our faith has become a routine or whether we’re truly walking with Jesus. Whatever adversity or opposition you’re facing, God isn’t finished. Keep going, trust His timing and finish the race strong.
What if the biggest threat to the early church wasn’t persecution… but people? In Acts 6, the church is exploding with growth, yet behind the scenes tensions are rising, needs are being overlooked and conflict threatens to derail everything. What happens next reveals something surprising about how God works through imperfect people to accomplish His perfect mission.
This message reminds us that healthy churches aren’t problem-free. They’re filled with ordinary people who trust Jesus, serve one another and faithfully use the gifts God has given them. If you’ve ever wondered whether your life or your gifts really matter in God’s Kingdom, this passage offers a powerful answer.
The apostles refused to let conflict become the focus. They addressed the problem without abandoning the mission. Today, we’re faced with the same challenge. Will we allow difficulties to divide us, or will we remain committed to what matters most: helping people find and follow Jesus? Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, under-qualified or unsure where you fit, discover how God uses ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things.

What does it mean to be brave? What if courage isn’t the absence of fear, but trusting God enough to take the next step anyway?
In week 12 of our journey through the Book of Acts, Laurel Bunker walks through Acts 5:12-42, where the apostles refused to stop sharing the hope of Jesus despite opposition, threats and imprisonment. Their boldness wasn’t rooted in their own strength. It came from the Holy Spirit working through them.
Many of us are waiting until we feel ready before taking a step of faith. But what if bravery looks less like fearless confidence and more like faithful obedience? Whether it’s asking for help, pursuing healing, extending forgiveness or sharing your faith, God often calls us to take one small step and trust Him with the rest. Where is God inviting you to be brave?

When was the last time you underestimated something? As we learn fromweek 11 of our series on the book of Acts, living a life of hypocrisy is more dangerous than we realize. The good news is that God is also much bigger and closer than we realize, and He holds the keys to freedom!
Pastor James Savage unpacks the story of Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 4:32-5:11. While many assume this story is about money or generosity, it’s actually about something far more personal: hypocrisy, hidden sin and the exhausting pressure to live a double life.
Have you ever felt the pressure to look like you have everything together, even when you don’t? Hypocrisy keeps us trapped in shame, but the Gospel reminds us that confession leads to freedom – because His grace is always greater than our sin.
If you’ve ever struggled to be honest about what you’re carrying, this message is a reminder that you don’t have to keep pretending. The Gospel isn’t for perfect people; it’s for people willing to step into the light.

When you hang around people long enough, you learn what they care about. When Peter and John faced opposition in Acts 4, they didn’t ask God to remove their problems. They prayed for something even greater: boldness. Instead of choosing comfort, they asked for courage to keep following Jesus no matter the cost. What do your prayers reveal about what you truly want?
In week 10 of our series through the book of Acts, Pastor Kevin Queen explores how prayer transforms us before it changes our circumstances. As we remember God’s sovereignty, pray His Word and trust His presence, we discover the courage to live boldly even in seasons of fear, uncertainty and suffering.
Prayer is the most powerful tool on the planet, but what if the greatest prayer you could pray isn’t, “God, make my life easier,” but, “God, make me more like Jesus”?
We’d love to hear from you! How has prayer changed your life, or what are you trusting God for today? Share in the comments below.

Have you ever wished you could go back and rewrite a chapter of your life? In Acts 4, Peter finds himself standing before the same religious leaders connected to one of his greatest failures. Just weeks earlier, he denied even knowing Jesus. Now, under pressure once again, Peter responds with courage and conviction. What changed?
This message explores how God redeems our failures, transforms our hearts and empowers us to live differently. Peter’s story reminds us that our worst moments do not have to define our future. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, God can bring restoration where there was regret and boldness where there was fear.
Where have past mistakes continued to shape your present? What tends to come out of you when you’re under pressure? How might God be inviting you to trust Him with a place of failure or regret?

Have you ever felt stuck in the same cycle, making the same mistakes, or carrying the same struggles no matter how hard you try to change?
In week eight of our Acts series, Here for Good, Pastor Dwan Hill explores Peter’s message following the miraculous healing of a man who had never walked before. While the crowd focused on the miracle, Peter pointed them to something even deeper: the power of Jesus to heal what’s broken beneath the surface.
Acts 3 reminds us that God created the world good, but sin has distorted what He intended. Left on our own, we often find ourselves trapped in cycles of striving, shame, and self-reliance. But through Jesus, there is another way. Peter’s invitation to “repent and turn to God” isn’t about punishment or guilt. It’s an invitation to freedom, refreshing, healing, and restoration.
Whether you’re carrying hidden struggles, searching for a fresh start, or wondering if real change is possible, this message offers hope that God can meet you exactly where you are and begin transforming your life from the inside out.

In week six of our journey through Acts, we encounter a moment where Peter and John meet a man who had spent his entire life waiting for someone to help him. What follows is a powerful reminder that God often works through ordinary people who are willing to make themselves available.
Many of us focus on what we lack: time, resources, influence, confidence, or experience. But Acts 3:1-10 challenges us to ask a different question. What if God wants to use what we already have? What if availability matters more than ability?
As we study the healing of the man at the temple gate, we’ll discover how the Holy Spirit empowers ordinary followers of Jesus to make an extraordinary impact. This message will encourage you to trust God with what He’s placed in your hands and take your next step of faith.
If you’ve ever wondered whether your life matters, whether God can use your testimony, or whether you can make a difference in the lives of others, this message is for you!

Peter didn’t know how people would respond to his first sermon, but thanks to the Holy Spirit, it made quite an impact! In Acts 2:37-47, he finishes preaching the first sermon in church history, and the response is IMMEDIATE. Thousands of people are convicted, repent, and put their trust in Jesus. But this moment isn’t just about a crowd making a decision. It’s about what happens when the Holy Spirit transforms a person’s heart and begins building a new kind of community.
In week six of our study through Acts, Pastor Kevin Queen explores how the Holy Spirit works through the gospel to bring conviction, lead people to repentance, and draw them into a life of following Jesus. Peter’s message reminds us that the power of the gospel has never depended on human eloquence or perfect words. The Holy Spirit is still changing lives today.
If you’ve ever wondered whether God is at work in your life, or what it looks like to respond when He speaks, this message is for you.

Are you afraid of saying the wrong thing when talking about Jesus? Many of us overthink sharing our faith because we feel unqualified, nervous, or unsure of what to say. But in Acts 2:13-36, we see Peter preach the very first sermon in church history, not through perfect preparation or confidence in himself, but through the power of the Holy Spirit.
In week five of our study through the book of Acts, Pastor Kevin Queen walks through Peter’s bold message and reminds us that God does not call perfect people, He empowers willing people. The same Holy Spirit that gave Peter courage is still at work today, helping ordinary people point others toward Jesus.
This message explores how fear can be reframed, why the gospel always points back to Jesus, and how God works through our weakness and insecurity. If you have ever wondered whether God could really use you to make a difference in someone’s life, this message is for you.

Have you ever wished God would just make things clearer? Most of us want certainty before we take a step forward, but faith rarely works that way. In Acts 2:1-12, the followers of Jesus are waiting, uncertain, and without clarity when suddenly the Holy Spirit moves in a way they never expected.
In week four of our series through the book of Acts, Pastor Kevin Queen explores why God often gives us trust before clarity. The Holy Spirit wasn’t sent to make life easier or more comfortable. He was sent to lead us deeper into dependence on Jesus. When we stop chasing control and start trusting God in the unknown, we begin to experience His presence and power in a new way.
If you’re navigating uncertainty, waiting for answers, or struggling to trust God – this message is for you.

Have you ever felt stuck trying to make the right decision? Whether it’s about your future, relationships, or something weighing on you right now; how do you know which way to go? In Acts 1:12–26, the disciples face a major decision. But before they act, they pray, seek God’s Word, and move forward together in faith. What if the way they made decisions is exactly what we’ve been missing?
Pastor Kevin Queen walks through this powerful moment in the early church and challenges us with a deeper question: Are you actually letting Jesus guide your decisions, or are you just following your feelings? At the end of the day, while we make thousands of decisions every day, there’s one that shapes all the rest: Will we trust Jesus?
If you’re in a season of waiting, wrestling with uncertainty, or facing a big decision, this message will encourage you with practical truth and spiritual clarity. No matter what you’re facing, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
God isn’t trying to confuse you, He wants to lead you.

What do you do when God asks you to trust Him… but nothing makes sense? In Acts 1:4–8, Jesus gives His disciples a confusing and even dangerous command: go back to Jerusalem, the very place that just crucified Him, and wait. No plan. No explanation. Just trust.
In week two of our journey through the book of Acts, Pastor James Savage unpacks a tension we all feel: we often want clarity, but Jesus invites trust. Because every perfect plan of God isn’t initiated by people – it’s initiated by the Holy Spirit.
This message explores the real question beneath it all: not “Do I understand Jesus?” but “Do I trust Him?” And if we’re honest, many of us trust Jesus with eternity… but struggle to trust Him with our everyday lives. So what would it look like to trust Jesus with your relationships, your future, your decisions, and your identity?

What is keeping you stuck right now? So many of us want more from life; more purpose, more meaning, more fulfillment – but we often stay where it feels safe. The problem? Comfort can quietly keep us stagnant. When we let our flesh or feelings lead, we end up empty, wondering why nothing is changing.
In this message, Pastor Kevin Queen walks through Acts 1:1–3 to kick off a brand-new, year-long journey through the book of Acts. This isn’t just a study of the early church, it’s an invitation to step into the life God created you for.
The book of Acts shows us what happens when ordinary people step out of their comfort zones and begin living led by the Holy Spirit. They didn’t have influence, resources, or a strategy – just the presence of God and a willingness to follow. And it changed EVERYTHING. Because real growth, real purpose, and real impact are always found on the other side of comfort.
Have you ever been let down by someone you really trusted? That kind of pain does not just hurt in the moment. It can shape how you see every relationship moving forward. It can make it hard to trust people again, even when you want to.
Walking through Proverbs 18:13 and other key Scriptures, Dr. Henry Cloud unpacks a powerful truth. Trust is not optional. Trust fuels every part of life and every relationship. But when trust gets broken, something in us pulls back. So how does trust actually work? And how do you rebuild trust after it has been broken?
While people will fail us, Jesus never will. He understands you completely, cares deeply about you, and is fully trustworthy in every way. As you learn to trust Him more, you can also grow into someone others can trust. If you have ever struggled with broken trust, relationship pain, or knowing who to trust, this message will give you clarity and direction for what to do next.

In this episode of the Anything’s Possible Podcast, Pastor Kevin Queen, Pastor Josh Reed, and New Testament scholars Dr. Adam Winn and Dr. Jim Miller unpack the surprising ending of Mark 16.
As they explore the final verses of Mark’s Gospel, the conversation tackles one of the most debated questions in Scripture: Did Mark really end at verse eight? And if so, what does that mean for our faith, our confidence in the Bible, and our response to Jesus?
This episode explores the tension between belief and obedience, information and transformation, fear and faith, and why the “unfinished” ending of Mark might actually be an invitation for you to continue the story.
Let’s keep the conversation going:

Have you ever felt like you’ve messed up too much… gone too far… or disqualified yourself from God’s grace? Easter tells a different story.
Pastor Kevin Queen unpacks Mark 16 where we don’t just see an empty tomb; we see a personal invitation! When the angel says, “Go tell the disciples and Peter,” it’s a powerful reminder that even the one who failed Jesus wasn’t written off. He was called by name.
This message walks through the historical evidence of the resurrection and what it means for your life today. Because if Jesus really rose from the dead, then failure isn’t final, shame doesn’t get the last word, and your story isn’t over. Anything’s Possible!

Have you ever taken an awareness test? It’s possible to be looking right at something, and still miss it.
In Mark 15:16–47, we see a sobering moment surrounding the crucifixion of Jesus. The very people carrying out His death didn’t fully realize who He was until it was too late. Their awareness came after the fact, but what about ours?
Pastor Kevin Queen walks through this passage and invites us to wrestle with a deeper question: Are we truly seeing Jesus as King, or are we missing Him in plain sight? This was not just as a moment in history, but a personal invitation; for us to live free from shame, fully surrendered to Him.
Have you ever felt the tension of wanting to do what’s right… but also wanting to be accepted?
In Mark 15:1–15, we see Pontius Pilate caught in that exact struggle. Faced with the truth about Jesus, Pilate chooses to please the crowd instead; releasing a guilty man and sending an innocent Savior to the cross. In week 44 of our journey through the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Dustin Aagaard walks through this powerful moment and exposes a question we all have to answer: will we live for the approval of people, or in surrender to Jesus?
Jesus had done nothing wrong, He willingly took our place, because we could never save ourselves. His sacrifice invites us into a different way of living: one where faith is greater than fear, and obedience matters more than approval.
Following Jesus doesn’t always feel easy, but it leads to a deeper peace than people-pleasing ever could. So where are you still trying to gain approval instead of trusting Him? And what would it look like to fully depend on Jesus in that area of your life?

Have you ever felt the sting of betrayal or the weight of loneliness? In Mark 14:43–72, we see some of the most painful moments in Jesus’ final hours. Judas betrays Him with a kiss, Peter denies even knowing Him, and the rest of the disciples scatter. Yet even in the face of betrayal, abandonment, and false accusations, Jesus responds with grace, courage, and unwavering love.
In week 43 of our journey through the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Kevin Queen walks through this powerful passage to show how Jesus understands our deepest pain. Before He carried the weight of the world’s sin to the cross, He carried the grief of being abandoned by the people closest to Him. And still, His love never wavered.
This message challenges us with an important question: What is worth suffering for? When we make Jesus our primary passion, even the pain and failure we experience can be used for God’s purpose. The same Jesus who stood alone in the garden also restored the disciples, and continues to restore hearts today.

When life doesn’t turn out the way we hoped, what do we do with the disappointment? It’s easy to become bitter, discouraged, or even begin to question God. But what if disappointment isn’t the end of the story?
In Mark 14:26–42, Pastor Dustin Aagaard walks through Jesus’ moment in the Garden of Gethsemane, where even Jesus experienced deep sorrow and disappointment. His closest friends fell asleep when He asked them to pray, and the weight of what was ahead pressed heavily on Him. Yet in that moment, Jesus models something powerful: honesty with the Father, closeness to God in the middle of pain, and radical surrender to God’s will.
Disappointment doesn’t have to define you. Instead, it can become a signal that draws you closer to God. When we bring our hurt, questions, and unmet expectations to the Father, He can transform disappointment into deeper faith, stronger trust, and lasting hope.
What if one of the most common questions about Christianity is also one of the most misunderstood? In Mark 14:12–25, we step into one of the most significant nights in history; a private dinner that changed everything. What Jesus said and did in that room still shapes millions of lives today.
In this message we will discover that Baptism is not about earning salvation. It’s about obedience. We will be encouraged to build our faith on surrender, rather than technicalities and we will learn that Jesus doesn’t just forgive our sin, He gives us a brand new identity.
This message tackles the tension many of us quietly wrestle with; that gap between belief and obedience. Between cultural Christianity and real surrender. Between technicalities… and transformation. Pastor Kevin Queen helps us see that this isn’t about two ancient rituals, it’s a question of whether we are building our faith on loopholes, or trust.

In week 40 of our series through the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Laurel Bunker walks us through Mark 14:1–11 and the powerful story of a woman who boldly poured out her most valuable possession at the feet of Jesus. While others criticized her, Jesus honored her. What looked wasteful to some was beautiful worship to Him. How are you worshipping Jesus? Are you holding anything back or are you willing to pour it all out for Him? God is still calling His people to bold devotion. Following Jesus will not always make sense to the crowd. It may cost you comfort, reputation, or control. Wars. Disasters. Politics. Cultural instability. When the world feels unpredictable, it’s easy to feel anxious, distracted, or spiritually unprepared. In Week 39 of our yearlong journey through the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Kevin walks through Mark 13, where Jesus speaks directly into this tension. While no one knows the timing of His return, Jesus makes one thing clear: we don’t have to live in fear. We are called to stay awake, stay ready, and stay on mission. This message invites us to examine how we’re living today. Are we drifting into distraction? Are we spiritually asleep? Or are we alert, anchored, and actively participating in what God is doing in the world? When the future feels unclear, Jesus gives us clarity on how to live right now. In week 38 of our journey through the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Kevin Queen teaches from Mark 12:35–44 and invites us to reflect on a powerful question: How are we magnifying Jesus with our lives?
We’re all focused on something; our worries, our pain, our success, our opinions, or our hopes for the future. And what we focus on is what we magnify. In this message, we see how Jesus calls us to lift our focus, get out of the way, and live lives that reflect Him so others can clearly see His grace, love, and truth.
Through real stories and Jesus’ teaching in the temple, we’re challenged to examine what has our attention, our hearts, and our resources: and to consider whether our lives are pointing people toward Christ.

In Mark 12:28–34, Jesus names the greatest commandment: to love God with our whole lives and to love others as ourselves. These two are inseparable. How we love God is always reflected in how we love people – even when we don’t agree with them.
In week 37 of our Gospel of Mark series, Pastor Kevin Queen challenges us to examine what may be competing for our devotion. This message isn’t about trying harder, it’s about getting honest, repenting where needed, and returning to wholehearted love for God and others.

We all reach moments where avoiding the question is no longer an option. In Mark 12, Jesus tells a parable that forces one unavoidable decision into the open: What are we going to do about Him?
In week 35 of our journey through the Gospel of Mark, Pastor James Savage breaks down the parable of the tenants and exposes a tension we all live with – the desire to control our own lives. This message challenges us to steward the gifts God has given us for His glory. It also might make us rethink all we understand about ownership and control.
Tune in, take notes, and reflect on what it looks like to live with open hands and a surrendered heart. Rejecting Jesus does not change who He is. Jesus is Lord. The only question is whether He is OUR Lord.

When prayer fades, something else quietly takes its place. Over time, faith can drift, relationships can strain, and hearts can grow cluttered without us even noticing.
In week 34 of our journey through the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Kevin Queen walks through Mark 11:12–25 and shows how Jesus confronts spiritual entropy; both in the temple and in our own lives. This passage reveals how prayer is not a religious accessory but the way God restores intimacy, renews purpose, and realigns what has slowly drifted out of order.
As Jesus teaches His disciples, un-forgiveness affects every relationship we hold – including our relationship with God. A prayerless life eventually shows up in how we live, love, and trust. But the good news is that entropy is not the end of the story. Through prayer, trust, and forgiveness, Jesus brings renewal.
Tune in, take notes, and reflect as we learn how Jesus interrupts entropy and invites us back into connection with the Father.

Bartimaeus throws aside what once felt like security, names what he truly wants, and then follows Jesus with his new life. On the winter solstice (the shortest day and longest night of the year) Scripture reminds us that darkness is never the end of the story. In this message, we look at the third story in Luke 15, often called The Parable of the Prodigal Son, and discover that it’s really a story about two lost sons and a Father who never stops welcoming His children home. Whether we relate more to the younger son or the older son, this message invites us to see where grace and truth meet. As we reflect on the darkest day of the year, we’re reminded of a powerful truth: light is coming on the horizon. Jesus shows us that no one is too far gone, no heart is too proud to need repentance, and no darkness is beyond the reach of His light. Today can be our turning point. – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – If this message encouraged you, let us know in the comments. We all know the frustration of losing something that truly matters; the anxiety, the searching, the relief when it’s finally found! But what happens when what’s missing isn’t a thing, but our attentiveness to Jesus? In this message from our Welcome Home series, Pastor Kevin looks at Luke 15:8–10 and reminds us of a powerful truth. We all know the feeling of being a little lost. Perhaps we feel pulled in a dozen directions, or maybe we’re unsure what the next right step is? The noise of life can make that longing even louder; especially during the Christmas season.
In week one of our Welcome Home series, Pastor Kevin explores Luke 15:1–7, where Jesus tells the story of a shepherd who goes after one wandering sheep and celebrates when it’s brought safely home. This isn’t just a story – it’s our reality. We are the ones Jesus comes looking for. We are the ones He carries back to a place of belonging, peace, and restoration.
As we prepare our hearts this Christmas, we’re invited to consider how we’re turning toward Jesus, how we’re letting Him guide us home, and how repentance opens us to the life He offers. Tune in, take notes, and let this message draw us deeper into the hope of the Gospel this season.

Do you ever notice how easy it is for life to crowd out what matters most? Even when we’re trying to follow Jesus, our routines, pressures, and distractions can make us forget the very message that’s meant to anchor our lives. We all long to stay centered on the Gospel, but sometimes it feels like we drift without meaning to.
In this week’s teaching from Mark 10:32–45, Pastor James shows us that we’re not the first to lose focus. Even the disciples overlooked Jesus’ words… not once, but multiple times. And yet, Jesus meets forgetful people with patience, grace, and a fresh invitation to follow Him more fully.
As we walk through this passage, we’ll remember that Nobody’s Perfect and the Gospel is about letting Jesus gently reshape our priorities, our patterns, and our purpose – if we will let Him.

If we’ve ever wondered why following Jesus feels harder than it should, this message speaks directly to that tension.
In this week’s teaching from Mark 10:17–31, Pastor Kevin walks us through the story of the rich young ruler; a man with influence, success, and stability who still carried a deep longing. Jesus loved him enough to tell him the truth: there was one thing in his life he had never surrendered.
As we explore this passage, we’ll discover that Jesus wants more FOR us than he wants FROM us, and that we can trust God with our identity, security and future. This message helps us see our lives with a kingdom perspective, loosen our grip on the things that hold us back and remember that with God, Anything’s Possible.

In this message from Pastor Kevin Queen, we look at Jesus’ teaching in Mark 10:1–12 and explore what the Bible really says about marriage, divorce, and singleness. Whatever your relationship status, God has something for you. Marriage can be beautiful; but it can also be hard.
Divorce can be painful; but it’s not the end of your story.
Singleness can feel lonely; but it’s not a lesser calling.
Through this section of Scripture, Pastor Kevin reminds us that God sees us, loves us, and can redeem every part of our story; no matter our past or present circumstance. He’s not done with our story, and with Jesus, Anything’s Possible.

Everywhere you look; online, at work, even at home, people seem quick to take offense. But what if offense is more than just an emotion? What if it’s a trap?

Together we’ll learn that carrying offense blinds us spiritually, pulls communities apart, and keeps us from the freedom Jesus offers. In week 19 of our series on the Gospel of Mark, Pastor James Savage shares the story of Jesus feeding 5,000 people with just five loaves and two fish (Mark 6:30-44). Even while tired and needing rest, Jesus showed compassion and made the most of a difficult day.
This passage reminds us that when we face bad days, we’re not alone. Jesus lays out an insightful and wise plan that we can choose to implement when we face our worst days. With Jesus, we believe that Anything’s Possible – no matter how heavy the day feels.
In week 18 of our series on the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Kevin Queen walks through Mark 6:7–13, where Jesus sends His disciples out for the first time to preach the Gospel. One of His instructions is to “travel light” – an instruction that still rings true today: Carry less. Trust more.
When our hands are empty, our hearts are more open to receive what only God can provide. God is always preparing us for life in all it’s fullness. The call to mission isn’t about being fully equipped; it’s about being fully dependent.
God is still inviting us into that kind of faith. Are you ready? Could we be someone who says ‘yes’ before we know all the steps? How can we learn to trust Him? What would our lives look like if we learnt to really ‘send it’?
We all face rejection, hurt and moments of offense. In this next section of Mark, Ps. Kevin Queen unpacks how Jesus Himself experienced it in His own hometown—and John the Baptist even lost his life for standing firm in his faith. Rejection and offense are painful, but they don’t have to define us. Jesus shows us how to stay rooted in God’s truth, free from bitterness, and strong in the Spirit no matter what opposition comes our way.
What does it look like to push past fear, risk our reputation, and reach out to Jesus? In week 16 of our series on the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Kevin shares stories from Mark 5:21-40. We see Jesus stop for a woman who had suffered for 12 years, before raising a little girl from the dead. These two very different people had one thing in common: desperate faith. Jesus meets us today with the same compassion, power, and perfect timing. No matter how long you’ve been waiting or how impossible it looks, you can trust His heart, His hand, and His timing.
In week 15 of our series on the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Kevin Queen shares two stories from Mark – two powerful moments where fear meets faith. In both stories, Jesus isn’t shaken. He’s sovereign.
Even with Jesus right beside them, the disciples panicked in the face of a storm. Jesus doesn’t run from storms or chaos. He speaks peace over them and brings restoration.
Fear can either shrink our faith or lead us straight into the arms of the One who calms the storm. Jesus wants us to step out of our comfort zone, so we can grow.
So – how do we respond during a storm? What if that fear is the very place Jesus wants to show us His power?
In week 14 of our series on the Gospel of Mark, guest speaker Dave Stone looks at Mark 4:21-32. In week 12 of our series on the Gospel of Mark, guest speaker Laurel Bunker recaps Mark 3:20-35. In this passage, Jesus reminds the crowd to love one another. If we fight each other we won’t get very far. As Christians, we can’t be Christlike if we don’t learn to love and forgive others. Our […]

In week eight of our series on the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Daran shares the story of Levi in Mark 2:13-17. Jesus told Levi to follow Him, as He ate with other tax collectors and sinners. What is the good life? So many of us are striving to live the good life, yet we struggle with the highs and lows of this world.
For week three of “A Life Well Lived”, Pastor Dwan shares a powerful testimony of a life well lived and incredible Biblical wisdom that just might change the way you view the victories and challenges of your life.
With every beat of our hearts, we have the opportunity to live the good life. Let’s find out how together.

Each of us have moments when life gets messy and God feels far away. Author Jeff Henderson joined us for week two of “A Life Well Lived” to help us find an answer to the question we all inevitably ask: Lord, where are You?
By digging into the wisdom found in the Bible, Jeff shares the simple answer to a complicated question.

We all have regrets in life. Short term decisions become long-term regrets, but do our past mistakes hinder us from living the abundant life that God has for us?
Mike Kelsey, the lead pastor of McLean Bible Church in Washington D.C., came as a guest speaker to kick off our new series, “A Life Well Lived”.
In week one of this series, we studied Jeremiah 29:11 and the surrounding verses, learning how to live out God’s purpose and plans for our lives – even while living with our own regrets and mistakes.

Have you ever felt like you were in over your head? Found yourself in situations where you feel overwhelmed? Perhaps you’re in a place right now where you’re desperate for hope?
In this message we delve into the life of Peter, one of Jesus’s closest disciples, and uncover the profound lessons from his journey. We’ll explore the pivotal moment when Peter stepped out in faith. This powerful story isn’t just about miraculous feats; it’s about trust, doubt, and the incredible ways God meets us in our moments of need.
Together we’ll be inspired to take our next step of faith; knowing that God’s presence and support are unwavering, even in the most challenging times.

Throughout this entire series, we have studied David’s journey fleeing from persecution, finding refuge in a cave and, eventually, finding freedom in his new authority. By following David’s life, we can find the path to freedom from the struggles that bind us.
In the last week of “Cave for a King”, Pastor Kevin gives us three practices from the life of David to help us find freedom in the cave.
The post Freedom in the Cave | Kevin Queen | Cave for a King | WEEK FOUR appeared first on Cross Point Church.
Before he became a king, David had to persevere through persecution. It was during that time, hiding in a cave, that God prepared David for His plans.
We all need a place like David, but finding our way to the cave can be difficult. In week three of “Cave for a King”, Pastor Kevin teaches from Psalm 57 where David gives his turn-by-turn instructions on how to find a cave – and more importantly – on how to find the merciful King of Kings in the cave.

Perspective shapes everything we do, and nobody understood this better than David during his time in the cave of Adullam. In this message we dive into Psalm 34, which was forged in the crucible of refuge and adversity, and learn five powerful lessons on gaining true perspective.
In this message, discover how recognizing God as the main character in your story can transform your life. By seeking God in our private moments we can find a renewed sense of purpose and joy, grounded in the truth of God’s unwavering faithfulness.

Years after his battle with Goliath, David had to flee for his life from King Saul, finding refuge in a cave. David went into the cave a kid and came out a king.
In the first week of our “Cave for a King” series, Pastor Kevin makes a case for why we each need a “cave” – a place to step away and spend time with God.
Time in a cave doesn’t change our circumstances, but it does change us.

For Mother’s Day service, we got to hear a roundtable discussion with Rea Queen and five other Cross Point moms. In both this discussion and in Rea’s teaching, we learn how we can escape the rhythms of hurry, worry and weary by sitting at the feet of Jesus and seeking His presence. Pulling from Matthew 11:28 and Luke 10:38-42, this is a service for moms AND for everyone else!

In the last week of our “About Time” series, Pastor Kevin wraps up our study of Jacob in Genesis.
God took Jacob back to the place of his greatest regret in order to heal him, because hidden wounds are the ones that never heal.
Jacob’s story reminds us that God uses broken people, because the true hero of the story is God’s grace.

We live in a culture that tells us waiting time is wasted time; we resist boredom at all costs. In week four of “About Time”, Pastor Kevin teaches about how God uses waiting to deepen Jacob’s trust. The work that God does within us while we wait is just as important as whatever we are waiting for – even when we are waiting, God is working.
The post Trusting God in the Waiting | About Time | Kevin Queen | WEEK FOUR appeared first on Cross Point Church.
We all have unmet expectations in our lives that lead to us feeling disappointed. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the regrets of our past, but an encounter with God can transform our disappointments to something new. Even when we are not looking for God, He is looking for us – He is not disinterested in our disappointment.

In a world where busyness can seem the normality, we rush from task to task, often filling our lives with the urgent, rather than the important. Is this the legacy we want to leave, or can we realign our lives with a greater purpose?
In this series we’re unpacking the story of Jacob; a biblical hero whose final obituary stood in sharp contrast to the realities of his earlier years.
In this message we’ll learn about the steps Jacob took, and the way he allowed God to reshape his story. Through this ancient text we’ll unpack subjects that are just as relevant today; like comparison and purpose, and the value of learning from pivotal moments. We will discover from Jacob how to ensure our final sentence aligns with our true values, and points other to the presence of God.

Our God notices a grateful heart.

At the end of our lives, there are four phrases that we all long to hear. In week two of Words to Live By, Pastor Kevin shared about the second phrase… “I’m sorry”.

In the last week of our Awaken series, Pastor Kevin shares how Jesus flipped the rules that the world had written about acceptance. The natural tendency of any group is to turn focus inward, focusing on the “insiders” and ignoring the “outsiders. Jesus’ life shows us that His supernatural tendency is to bring the outsiders in, and in turn, calls us to do the same.

We all have potholes in our life stories, markings of long-ago emotional pain caused by the hurtful words, behaviors of others or perhaps the etchings of shame from decades-old sin. By nature, these potholes are below the surface, so they often go unnoticed, but their existence means that problems are likely to arise. When our personal potholes are left unaddressed, the potential for unforeseen damage is real.
In the last week of “Here Be Dragons”, guest speaker Steve Carter unpacks the actions of Haman in the story of Esther and what we can learn from the potholes in his life, to help us, with God, patch up the ones in our own lives.
In medieval times, map makers would mark any area that was uncertain or uncharted with three words; Here Be Dragons. Years later, things have not changed; we don’t have dragons on maps, but our fear over the unknown remains. Does it ever feel like God is delayed? Do we grow frustrated when things don’t happen […]

We can’t worship two of anything. Invisible idols over promise and under deliver. The enemy wants us enslaved to anything other than the freedom that Jesus brings. We can find freedom for our hearts and our lives through trust in Him. You have a Father in Heaven who unconditionally loves you, and if you put […]
We are all worshipers of someone or something, whether we believe in Jesus or not. We give value and attention to people and temporary things because we long for something bigger than ourselves to fulfill our needs and desires.
While some of these things may be good, they can become idols in our lives, because any created thing we worship, other than the Creator Himself, is idolatry. In this message, Pastor Kevin helps us unpack the meaning of idols and worship, and how we can find rest in worshiping the only one who will fulfill our longings – Jesus.
What is the most important thing in life? Fortune, family, fame, position, power? What do we do when the things we value are threatened, removed or fade away?
We cannot choose our circumstances, or determine our journey through life, but we can choose what gets priority in our lives. The way we spend our money, use our time and order our priorities demonstrate what we really value.
To determine the values of Heaven, we look to the example of Jesus. When we seek God first, we align our values with His. In seeking one thing, everything else falls into place – putting the First Things First.
We all want order in our lives, we chase after control. Often our list of concerns and cares become deep-seated worries that dominate our thoughts.
What if there was a way to convert fear into faith? Together we’ll learn that can we trade anxiety and anguish for a calm and carefree life. In seeking one thing, everything else falls into place, fixing our eyes on that which endures – putting the First Things First.
Containers tell the story of motherhood – from a baby bottle to a sippy cup to a lunch box, a bookbag and a box for all of the things you send off your kids to college with. Moms keep kids going, moving them from container to container with the encouragement, hope and reassurance needed to keep going.
In this special Mother’s Day service, watch as Pastor Kevin and Rea share the message of hope that we can find in Christ through the story of the widow in need of oil in 2 Kings, and how we can give and receive hope in our relationships, for the conclusion of our WonderUs series.
Wonder should be part of our relationships; a shared experience. Through this series we’ve learnt that wonder can leak unless we work hard to retain it. Good relationships cultivate resilience.
Resilience doesn’t come naturally in our world. We all have external challenges and internal resistance. We can choose to learn rhythms that will increase our resilience, deepen our devotion and grow our relationships.
In our relationships we can tend to lose wonder. We can get stuck in the mundane, the routine and the ritual of relationships, instead of leaning into them deeper.
Through empathetic wonder, through stopping and asking questions, connection with others is made. Learn how to build sincere relationships filled with authentic love, by simply taking the time.
It’s easy to compartmentalize our lives: keeping our social life separate from our family life, work life and spiritual life. When we live like this we are wearing a mask and not showing others our real selves, so we aren’t allowing others to truly love us in our relationships.
In order to have relationships built on integrity, we need Jesus to be the Lord of our whole lives, not just certain parts of our lives. Learn how to live a more integrated life, a life of integrity that draws people to want to be in a relationship with you and ultimately to want to be in a relationship with Jesus.
There are areas of loneliness in every one of our lives where we either lack the relationships we long for or the relationships we have are filled with tension. There is a key to obtaining good relationships and it’s rooted in wisdom, the practice of humility.
Learn what Jesus has to say about humility and how to begin embracing it in your own life.
There is so much bad news in our world. It’s easy to get caught up in the pain and suffering that bombards social media, new channels and our lives.
Jesus came to earth to transform our lives. He came for everyone — there’s nothing that we’ve done that could keep us from God’s grace through Jesus. Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and raise from the dead — that’s Good News that gives us hope, both now and forever!

This week was a heavy one in Nashville, filled with grief, anger, sadness and even fear. Rightly so, the heaviness in the aftermath of a tragedy like what happened at the Covenant School can feel unbearable and without hope.
In this message, Pastor Kevin acknowledges the pain and heartache of the collective suffering of this event, while also pointing to Jesus, who exemplified what it is like to have hope in the midst of suffering. As we lead up to Resurrection Sunday, this message is for anyone who needs hope in a dark place.
You may have just come out of a storm, or you are in a storm now, or you are about to be in a storm — storms in life will come. Fear is the natural response to storms. We fear circumstances beyond our control, for good reason.
But, you don’t have to fear the storms. You can have peace in the middle of the storms in your life, because there is no storm that Jesus doesn’t have authority over. He can rescue you from any storm.
Have you ever felt like the gap between you and God was too large to overcome? Have you ever felt that you are in too deep in hurt, in pain, in choices that have led you to places you don’t want to be anymore?
In Mark 10 and 15, Lisa Harper teaches on how God’s heart has always been for His people – how He has always been on an all out rescue mission for us. His biggest display of His rescue mission was when He sent His son Jesus to ultimately and finally bridge that gap between our pit and the love we need to get out of it.
We can get stuck in destructive patterns, stuck in circumstances beyond our control or stuck in the moral choices we have made along the way. Getting stuck is a normal part of being human, because Nobody’s Perfect, but staying stuck doesn’t have to be your future.
Learn how Jesus came to offer to rescue you from your shame and give you a way out of your stuckness.
Are you in need of a rescue? Are there circumstances in your life or lies you’re believing that you can’t escape by willpower alone?
If you’re in need of a rescue, welcome to being human. There are traps or pits we all fall into, but we DO have a rescuer, One who came to save us: Jesus.

Do you want more joy & peace in your life? Do you wish you were closer to God or deeper in faith? Have you ever wondered what the Holy Spirit is? If you’re desperate for refreshment, for renewal and for life to feel more stable…you’re not alone.
But if we want to grow and develop, we need deep roots; a structure to help support and sustain us. There is a power and strength that is accessible to us if we want it. But it’s not a selfless venture; our eyes are opened to the world around us as we draw on Christ. We will be revived, we will be empowered to transform the world around us. We will Awaken.

It’s a time of year when lots of us are considering new ventures and new routines. But it’s hard to take a step, when you’re afraid, or in the dark. If we want to take these steps, we’re going to need to be brave and resolute.
We all have blind-spots, whether they’re physical, mental or spiritual but the good news is that, if there are areas in your life where you are looking for clarity, you’re not on your own – and there is hope. Through this Take Courage series, we’ll learn that the Bible has a lot to say on this subject; we’ll unpack the truth that Jesus himself encourages us to Take Courage.
Ever felt alone, even when you’re in a crowd? Do you wish you had dependable friends? If you’ve ever felt like you’re constantly having to work for relationship, having to prove yourself, or if you feel like you’re never enough – this message is for you. It’s human to need community; we were created FROM community and FOR community. We need one another. But taking steps towards relationship takes courage.
It’s a time of year when lots of us are considering new ventures and new routines. As we take these steps, we’re going to need to be brave and resolute. And through this series, we’ll learn that the Bible has a lot to say on this subject; we’ll unpack the truth that Jesus himself encourages us to Take Courage.
Ever wish you could be brave, but find yourself choosing the easy option? Are you wanting to step out, but afraid to stand out? Ever feel like you’ve been discouraged by those around you? Jesus asks us to step out, and He is with us as we do so. Fear might be contagious, but courage is equally contagious, and we can learn to draw from the courage of Christ.
It’s a time of year when lots of us are considering new ventures and new routines. As we take these steps, we’re going to need to be brave and resolute. The Bible has a lot to say on this subject; we’ll unpack the truth that Jesus himself encourages us to Take Courage.
Ever wish you could know how your story could end? Do you find yourself gripped by fear, unable to face what’s to come? If your anxiety about your circumstances feels overwhelming – you’re not alone. Throughout the Bible we read story after story of God’s people facing huge, daunting challenges – but somehow finding the strength to do what is asked of them. How can we learn to harness some of that faith, to fight the fear that grips us?
It’s a time of year when lots of us are considering new ventures and new routines. As we take these steps, we’re going to need to be brave and resolute. And through this series, we’ll learn that the Bible has a lot to say on this subject; we’ll unpack the truth that Jesus himself encourages us to Take Courage.
Why is it important to see things though to the final chapter? When the going gets tough, why does quitting seem the best option? How do we persevere when nothing seems to be going right? We all face hard times in life, some that ruin our day, others that ruin our lives. When we get knocked down it can be hard to know how to get back up again.
In this one off message, Pastor Kevin Queen talks us through an important principle as we learn to endure. This mountain metaphor will show us the value of perseverance, grow our faith during trials, and teach us to have hope in the midst of adversity.
Christmas is a time for joy and peace. A glimpse of hope amid bleak winter months and the heaviness of a world which seems increasingly divided and defined by turmoil. We long for a beacon of light in the darkness as we head into a new year.
What if this Christmas we could find all we’ve been longing for? What if we could see the gift of that first Christmas with new eyes, in a way that would define our entire existence?
Join Pastor Kevin Queen on location as we discover the light of the world, a hope for a bright future; and how we can pass this light to others.
Ever walked through a time of suffering? Are you entering into the Christmas season with more sorrow than expectation? Does hope seem a distant memory, or a luxury that you have not been afforded?
This Christmas we will learn that to grow in hope, we probably have to reframe the way we think about it. Perhaps hope can become an instrument that we begin to practice, a skill we develop, and a truth that becomes more and more present in our lives.
“BEHOLD” is God’s way of drawing attention to something important. Over 2000 years ago, God declared it over an unassuming stable in Bethlehem. This was His most important work; the hope we all crave, wrapped in swaddling cloths. A royal king, a prince of peace in dirt and squalor. Freedom from sin and shame in the form of a helpless baby.
How will we BEHOLD Jesus this Christmas?
Do you wish you had the power to change your situation? Have you ever been let down by something or someone you were placing your hope in? Perhaps you long to steer the outcome of your life, and take control of your situation?
Even when we achieve success, and gain power or wealth we’re left wanting, desperate for more, ever aware of our own shortcomings. But maybe we’ve been looking in all the wrong places? This Christmas we might learn that to gain control, we actually need to surrender it all.
How do I endure waiting? How do you grow in patience? We’ve become used to everything arriving instantly, on demand, 24/7. But sometimes the most important things in life take time, they’re worth dwelling over. In the rush of the Christmas season it’s easy to lose sight of why we’re even celebrating. Busyness has no time for Beholding. To BEHOLD takes intention, it takes time. In this message we learn three ways to change the way we see things, and in doing so, unlock the hope of Christmas.
