In this message from the Joseph series, we discover that God is always writing a bigger story than the one we can currently see. As Joseph encounters his brothers years after they betrayed him, we see the power of secrets being brought into the light and how revealing what has been hidden can lead to healing. Through Joseph’s journey, we learn the importance of being who God created us to be, being honest about our fears, and taking responsibility for our mistakes. This message reminds us that truth brings freedom and that God can use even our deepest wounds and most difficult moments to bring restoration and redemption.

What does it really mean to be a leader? In this message from our Joseph series, we discover that leadership isn't about titles, positions, or recognition—it's about faithfully stewarding what God has placed in our hands. Looking at Joseph's rise to leadership in Genesis 41, we explore four practical principles for leading well: paying attention to what captures our focus, learning to say no to good things so we can say yes to God's best, releasing pressure by relying on God's presence, and cultivating a heart of gratitude. Whether you lead at home, at work, in ministry, or simply through your everyday influence, this message will challenge you to embrace God's bigger story and steward every opportunity He gives you.

Have you ever felt forgotten—overlooked by others, waiting on unanswered prayers, or wondering if God still sees you? In this episode, we continue our series on Joseph by exploring one of the most difficult chapters of his life: the years he spent forgotten in prison. Through Genesis 40, we'll discover that while people may forget us, God never does. What feels like a season of delay may actually be God's preparation for something greater. Join us as we learn how to remain faithful while we wait, remember that we're planted—not buried—and trust that God is still writing a bigger story than the one we can currently see.

In Part 2 of our Joseph series, we explore one of the most relatable challenges every believer faces—temptation. Following Joseph’s journey in Genesis 39, we see how a young man who had already endured betrayal, slavery, and disappointment now faces a powerful test of character. Joseph’s story reminds us that temptation itself is not sin; it is a test that reveals what is in us and what God wants to develop through us. When faced with the advances of Potiphar’s wife, Joseph chose faithfulness over convenience, integrity over compromise, and God’s purpose over temporary pleasure.

This message challenges us to view temptation through a different lens—not as proof of weakness, but as an opportunity for growth. We’ll learn how Joseph kept the important things important, protected his integrity, and trusted God even when doing the right thing led to difficult circumstances. If you’ve ever wondered why obedience can sometimes seem harder than compromise, Joseph’s story offers hope and encouragement: God is still working, even when life doesn’t make sense. Join us as we discover how passing the test of character prepares us for the bigger story God is writing in our lives.

I am super excited about this series because Joseph is my favorite Old Testament person in the Bible.
I love the story and stories of Joseph.
If you were raised in church chances are you might remember some of these stories we are going to go over.
If you weren’t raised in church, chances are you may still know about Joseph……you may have heard of him and his coat of many colors.
He was kind of a big deal.
And we find his story in the book of Genesis.
Specifically… Genesis 37-50.
So over the next several weeks… really over this summer we are going to be looking at a number of these chapters.

The good news as Christians… there are some things we are not!
If we call ourselves a follower of Jesus, life isn’t necessarily easy, it is not always perfect, but there are some things we are not…
We can look at the world, we can look at temptations, we can look at the lies of Satan, and we can say: “NOT IT”.
And we see a list of not its, in a passage scripture written by a guy named Paul to the church in Corinth, in 2 Corinthians 4:8-10.

Join with us as we kick off our "Thick Skin, Soft Heart " sermon series. This series will be all about learning how to live above offense and hurt, while still showing love, forgiveness, and empathy—just like Jesus did. It’s based around Colossians 3:12–14, which calls believers to be compassionate, kind, humble, gentle, patient, and loving—basically, to have a thick skin but a soft heart. The message uses the following to break down four kinds of people: Thin Skin/Hard Heart (easily offended and bitter) Thin Skin/Soft Heart (loving but constantly hurt) Thick Skin/Hard Heart (strong but emotionally distant) Thick Skin/Soft Heart—someone who’s resilient but still loving, forgiving, and kind. The reality is, we all face offenses—both small (like pet peeves) and big (like betrayal or abuse). But holding onto them only shrinks our lives and distracts us from our bigger purpose. The main takeaway is: “Your life is too short and your calling is too big to live thin-skinned.” We need to be intentional about not living in offense. The Bible tells us to make allowance for each other’s faults and to forgive just as God forgave us. Forgiveness isn’t pretending nothing happened—it’s choosing not to let it control or define us. That’s what it means to live with thick skin.

Join with us as we kick off our "Miracles" sermon series, presenting a powerful message for recognizing the miraculous within our own lives, and also for the extraordinary work of Jesus. We begin by acknowledging that each of us is quite a declaration to God's original power. As Psalm 139:13-14 reminds us, each of us is quite a miracle in itself. Individual stories and analyses of the Bible help us consider the miracles of Jesus, specifically the wedding at Cana from John 2:1-11, where Jesus turned water into wine. This message powerfully underscores that certain difficulties and inevitable failures are definite chances for God to completely reveal His infinite might and boundless kindness. We are faced with the challenge of not only searching for miracles, but also of pursuing the Giver of Miracles, Jesus Christ. Discover how honestly accepting Jesus into our lives, carefully following what He says, and confidently relying on His strength can cause genuinely life-changing moments. We explore how Jesus' many miracles, along with His first recorded miracle, reveal His glory completely as well as invite us to believe in Him as the Messiah. Eventually, we realize that when we are sad, frustrated, and ashamed, Jesus offers hope and a guarantee that the future will be better.

This week's sermon explored the powerful miracle of Jesus healing a man born blind in John 9, emphasizing that Jesus's miracles point to His identity as the Messiah and the light of the world. The healing transcends the physical, illustrating how Jesus changes the way we see both literally and spiritually, ultimately impacting how others perceive us. The blind man's journey to sight and then to belief and worship demonstrates the transformative power of encountering Jesus and shifting our perspective.

We learned that our response to Jesus is crucial. Obstacles such as prioritizing religion over a relationship with Jesus, operating in disbelief, misplaced fears, and dismissing what we don't understand can lead to spiritual blindness. The call is to respond like the healed man: with obedience to Jesus's instructions and a trusting heart that believes and worships Him. This allows Jesus to open our eyes, change our perspective, and ultimately transform how we see ourselves and how the world sees us.

This week in our "Miracles" series, we journeyed into the midst of a stormy sea with Jesus and His disciples in John 6:16-24. We witnessed how, after a mountaintop prayer following the news of John the Baptist's death, Jesus' followers found themselves battling a fierce wind, miles from shore and seemingly abandoned. This familiar scenario mirrors our own lives when, even after experiencing spiritual highs, unexpected storms can suddenly arise, leaving us feeling isolated and afraid.

However, this powerful miracle reveals a profound truth: Jesus brings purpose to our storms. Just as He watched over the disciples from the mountain, He is aware of every detail of our struggles. He isn't surprised or overwhelmed by our difficulties; instead, He sees them as opportunities to reveal His power and redirect us toward His ultimate plan. As Jesus walked on the raging water to reach His frightened disciples, He demonstrates His willingness to meet us in the midst of our chaos, offering reassurance and a path forward.

The destination of the disciples' boat shifted during the storm, yet it still reached its intended shore, highlighting how God can redeem even our detours for a greater purpose. This miracle encourages us to respond to our storms with courage, drawing strength from Jesus' presence and His promise of peace. Just as the disciples invited Jesus into their boat, we too must invite Him into the messy realities of our struggles, trusting that He will bring purpose to our pain and guide us to where we truly need to be.

Today's message, perfect for our family service, focused on the incredible miracle in John 6:1-15, where Jesus fed thousands with just a small boy's lunch. We learned that even when we feel like we don't have enough, God can take what little we offer and multiply it beyond our wildest dreams. This story isn't just about a miraculous meal; it's a powerful lesson on trusting God's ability to turn our feelings of insufficiency into overflowing abundance.

We explored how Jesus's actions, from giving thanks to distributing the food, demonstrate that our obedience and gratitude are key to experiencing His miracles. The message encourages us to give what we have to Jesus, do what He says, and thank Him for what we already possess. By shifting our focus from what we lack to what God can do, we open ourselves up to experiencing His abundant blessings, understanding that His provision is always more than enough.

We tell ourselves we're too busy, too tired, or just not ready to tackle those things we know we should. But let's be real, those excuses are just a cover-up for not doing what we know we need to do. Today, we're diving into a powerful story from the Bible, John 5, where Jesus encounters a man who's been suffering for 38 years. This man's been living with excuses for so long, they've become his reality. But Jesus asks him a simple yet profound question: "Do you want to be healed?" It's a question we all need to ask ourselves. Do we really want to break free from our limitations, our excuses, and step into the breakthrough God has for us?

This story isn't just about physical healing; it's about recognizing the areas in our lives where we're stuck, where we've allowed excuses to hold us back. Whether it's our finances, relationships, dreams, or even our faith, Jesus is asking us, "Do you want to get well?" He's inviting us to stop blaming our circumstances, our past, or other people, and instead, to rise up in obedience. Just like the man at the pool of Bethesda, we need to take action, leave our old ways behind, and trust in the Miracle Worker, Jesus. Because our breakthrough begins where our excuses end, and when we seek Him, we find not just miracles, but the One who makes them possible.

Join us as we continue our "Miracles" series, exploring the extraordinary ways God works in our lives. We begin with the foundational truth that each of us is a miracle, a testament to God’s creative power, as beautifully expressed in Psalm 139. This week, we delve into John 4:43-54, where Jesus heals a royal official’s son from a distance, demonstrating that God’s power transcends the limitations of time and space.

This miracle highlights the transformative power of faith. We examine how the royal official, faced with a seemingly impossible situation, chose to believe Jesus’s word, illustrating that faith removes the distance between us and the miracles God desires to perform. We consider how often we allow doubt to create barriers, and how Jesus challenges us to trust Him beyond what we can see or understand.

This message encourages us to move beyond a "seeing is believing" mindset, and instead, to embrace a faith that trusts in God’s ability to work beyond our limitations. We explore how obedience, trust, and actively seeking God are essential components of a faith that unlocks miracles. We discuss practical steps to cultivate this kind of faith, emphasizing that our effort in seeking God, while not creating miracles, can certainly remove obstacles that prevent them. Discover how placing your trust in Jesus and obeying His word can invite miracles into your life, even before you see the outcome.

Todays message wraps up a set of talks on the always-changing form of love, pointing out how steady and how strong it can be. The speaker uses 1 Corinthians 13 to depict authentic love. Pastor Corbin says that real love, like God's love, is constant and needs persistent action. Pastor Corbin's own story of almost dying and of recovering is to show that it is important to keep going, with help from others and from God, to make it through difficult times. The parable of the persistent widow further reinforces this point, pointing out that God values persistent faith and action more than simple protocol. The central message encourages everyone to represent this persevering love in their individual lives, depicted by the exhortation to "show up and don't give up." This principle applies across relationships, spiritual attempts, as well as self-difficulties, stressing that true love, similar to God's, is characterized by its resilience in addition to commitment. Pastor Corbin's account stands as ample proof of what can happen through perseverance, showing that with ceaseless faith and work, a person can feel the life-changing strength of God's lasting love.

Welcome to our third week of our Love Always series. 1 Corinthians 13:7 ("Love always hopes") is our basis to show how hope is a key part of love. It offers a contrast of worldly hope, or wishful thinking. It also presents Biblical hope, which is confident expectation in God's faithfulness. This core message of Biblical hope, fueled by love, empowers us to overcome circumstances instead of being dragged down by them. Many point to Isaiah 40:31, stressing that all who hope in the Lord will have completely renewed strength. Today's message delivers an emphatic warning against "hope killers," incorporating total forgetfulness, devastating negativity, deep apathy, along with a total lack of vision. Sufficient practical application is then encouraged through complete gratitude, total obedience, and firm faith, practices suggested as certain ways to cultivate overall hope and experience the entirety of love.

We're kicking off our new series, "Love Always"! Think about the things you always do – habits, routines, consistent actions. Love should be like that too. Love is consistent. Real love is reliable. It's not just a feeling, but a regular practice. Over the next few weeks, we'll explore what love always does, straight from the Bible.

Today, we're focusing on how love always protects (1 Corinthians 13:7). Protection means keeping safe from harm. Love defends, guards, and shields others – emotionally, mentally, and physically. It creates a safe space. As a husband, dad, or pastor, protection is a key part of love.

Are you letting possessions control you, or are you in control? We often chase temporary things instead of focusing on the eternal.

Jesus calls us to share two important stories: our personal story and our story with Him. In other words, He calls us to share our testimony. In the Bible, there's a powerful story about a man who was held captive by darkness - bad thoughts, harmful actions, and evil spirits. Recognizing the universality of feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges, this series delves into the underlying causes of this experience, examines ineffective coping mechanisms, and offers practical guidance for navigating stress and finding inner peace. Through a series of thoughtfully crafted messages, we aim to provide listeners with tangible tools and a renewed sense of hope as they confront the complexities of their lives. Join us on this journey of discovery and resilience as we seek to find solace and strength in the face of life's overwhelming moments, guided by the enduring wisdom of Psalm 61:2.

This podcast delves into the "Be the Church" sermon series, challenging traditional notions of church attendance and participation. It shifts the focus from merely going to church to actively embodying the church's mission and values in daily life. Instead of passively consuming, the series encourages listeners to contribute and actively participate in building a vibrant and impactful community of faith. The central message is that church isn't an institution we attend but rather a living organism that we are designed to be a part of. By embracing this understanding, individuals can truly live out their faith and make a positive difference in the world.

The sermon explores the dramatic fall from grace of David, once celebrated and successful, to a fugitive and outcast. David's growing popularity has made King Saul increasingly paranoid and erratic, culminating in a desperate hunt for David's life. Forced into hiding, David seeks refuge with a priest, a decision that leads to a tragic massacre. With no place to turn, David finds himself in a cave with a small band of followers, facing immense challenges and questioning God's promises. The sermon draws parallels between David's plight and the struggles of modern life, emphasizing God's grace and power in times of weakness. It concludes by highlighting David's transformation from a broken man to a leader of mighty warriors, demonstrating God's ability to turn weakness into strength.

Whether or not you were raised in church, you may have heard of David and his famous encounter with Goliath. David is the most extensively documented character in the Bible, with 66 chapters dedicated to his story and 59 references in the New Testament. Unlike other notable figures like Abraham, Joseph, Jacob, and Elijah, who have fewer chapters dedicated to them, David's story stands out. Despite his extraordinary legacy, David was an ordinary man devoted to following God, which is why God chose him.
