On the year anniversary of the horrific school shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvaldle, Texas. Jimmy was given an opportunity to speak in Washington D.C. on what should have been done differently.
In his time in DC Jimmy was challenged and burdened with the country we live in and what has to be done differently to create a life for our children that encapsulates the freedom's we enjoy in America.
What must change now?
Over the last year we have seen two school shootings with two very different results. Uvalde was an hour and a half and yielded an hour and a half of footage from badge cams and security cameras that left us questioning why 21 people had to die.
Nashville happened with swift intentional actions but still left us asking why one individual would choose such horrendous actions.
Jimmy and BK look at both events and provide points for consideration - not to put down law enforcement or those involved - but to explain what could have been done differently.
What was the difference?
Our right as Americans seem to always be on the chopping block lately. The media is always looking for a way to spin what is happening or doctor a story that makes you believe the motives are good. Taylor Rhodes from Rocky Mountain Gun Owners stands on the front lines protecting our gun rights, but more importantly he takes time to explain what bills are being passed and the possible changes that could be coming. 2023 is shaping up to be a big year for Able Shepherd. The building expansion is just about underway with a potential building lined up and plans for design already complete. During the Remember Benghazi Ride honoring the 10th Anniversary of the attack on the United States Embassy in Benghazi, Jimmy was introduced to Tyler Wilschetz, the Executive Pastor at Veneration Church in Kalispel, MT

Join us as a US Navy SEAL recounts his recent experience of watching a Musical with his family. Not entirely sure what to expect, Jimmy is blown away by the ability of the cast and crew to develop, deliver, and portray the life story of one of America’s Founding Fathers starting when he arrived in America as a 14 year old orphan.

Jimmy is joined by Bk to share a recent experience with a local Colorado school. In a nutshell, the students can see that things are broken and they need to be fixed. From the mouths of children “fix it or I will.” Please, follow along as Jimmy revists the request by the Physical Education teacher (to the Students) “what are some ideas of what you would like to do in class?”
With the idea that school districts are doing very little to nothing in an effort to protect students on campus, or in the classroom, the students take it upon themselves to make a request to learn some basic skills related to self defense and personal protection.
Thankfully, the teachers and staff were willing to listen to the students and invited two of the Able Shepherd Lead Instructors into their P.E. classroom to introduce some self defense basic skills. At the end of the week, the students walk taller and with more confidence knowing they have some knowledge and experience to build upon.

The spectacular and challenging (expert only) 820-mile ride covers the south-eastern region of California. For the most part the trail consists of rugged two-track and remote dirt roads leading riders through majestic canyons, rocky riverbeds, and sandy washes of California’s famous deserts and national preserves, including a dream ride in the Mojave Preserve.
Keep in mind, each rider carried all of their equipment with them, on their bikes, including food, water, tent, sleeping bags, clothes, and tools for on the trail repairs. For a little extra support and comfort, the riders were blessed with a Ford Raptor chase vehicle carrying a propane skillet for eggs, bacon, and steaks .. as well as a cooler full of ice and Coors Light !
