FOUNDER’S STORY What we offer: Neo-Seniors Services provides podcasts, webinars, seminars, private sessions and mentoring resources all designed to empower senior citizens’ well-being with life improving knowledge and mindfulness wisdom. Our customers: Neo-Seniors Services’ customers are people over 55 years old and their families who are navigating the aging process, not just the physical changes that come as they advance through the years, but also the mental/mindfulness, familial, fiscal, consumer, cyber, social, sleep and higher purpose realignments necessary to not just survive, but to thrive. We only exist because of customers, and I was put on this planet to serve them. Our customers are the true heroes of our story. We are committed to improving the lives of our customers in everything we do. Why we are different: These are the things that define Neo-Seniors Services. We are passionate in our belief and opinion that the world of helping our senior citizens enjoy a better quality of life has long since exceeded its quota in the mediocrity department. We believe our professional calling is to deliver quality. And not simply run-of-the-mill, six-star quality. For Neo-Seniors Services, nothing less than awesome quality will do, down to the finest detail. This atypically high-quality bar leads us to sweat every word, every presentation, every kernel of wisdom content, every customer. Mediocre companies sleep soundly. Not us. We sleep, eat and breathe for our customers’ well-being, self-awareness and mindfulness. We believe customers will respond to this passionate focus on quality. We are comfortable knowing that many reasonable people may consider our standards to be way too high. We obsess over our customers. And we have several types of customers: our users/subscribers, our subject matter experts, the non-profits we support, our advertisers, platform designers and each other. Delighting each of these customer communities is vital to our future. We believe that everyone on the team deserves to financially participate in the upside of Neo-Seniors Services (if we’re fortunate to create upside as a team). We go after world-class talent .. the best and brightest. Our expectations are extremely high and we hold ourselves accountable. We all do the dirty work. No one in the company sees themselves above any task. We believe that Neo-Seniors Services’ trajectory will be a function of the strength of our ideas and the quality of our execution. We believe that neither groundbreaking ideas nor great execution are found exclusively at higher levels of an organization, particularly ours. Most times, it is just the opposite. Neo-Seniors Services defines itself on being a meritocracy. We bet on talent, tenacity, and high levels of caring … not previous titles. We are in the business of building and innovating. We see it as our jobs to make it as easy as possible to innovate. In this, we serve each other. Neo-Seniors Services is defined by its sense of urgency. We believe that the mission we’ve chosen – a better quality of life for all the senior citizens we touch- will be achieved some day. However, it is uncertain whether Neo-Seniors Services will be the one to achieve it. Speed and strength of execution are vital. Our sense of urgency is simply a reflection of our understanding that the area in which we operate has little time to waste: millions of senior citizens are suffering from lifestyle-induced problems. We are frugal, and proudly so. We don’t have fancy offices or fancy furniture. We pride ourselves on the relatively small teams that together form Neo-Seniors Services. We believe that the money we conserve through our frugality allows us to invest in our customers in ways others cannot. There are many things that don’t matter to Neo-Seniors Services. Some of these things include: impressive titles, swanky office furniture, hierarchy, and nice lunches Though most people claim not to care about these things, we’ve found that many people really do care about these things. That’s OK, but it also means that Neo-Seniors Services would be a very bad match for those same people. While we take our mission extremely seriously, we don’t take ourselves seriously and, in fact, embrace fun as often as we can find it. We are defined by our humility. We are deeply passionate about the subject space in which Neo-Seniors Services operates. To us, the intersection of technology and great content like our “Power of Mindfulness” series is inherently fun. This is a good thing, given that we think it would be a shame not to enjoy the adventure immensely. We realize that our undertaking is both bold and highly ambitious. We are aiming to dramatically improve and change the way that senior lifestyle improvement wisdom is discovered, shared and consumed. Our adventure is not for the faint of heart. Achieving our mission will require highly unusual levels of tenacity, along with heaps of good timing and good luck… along with the tenacity that enabled me to survive a very nasty heart attack and wake to create Neo-Seniors Services so others don’t make the lifestyle mistakes I made and which nearly killed me. We are defined by the judgment that Neo-Seniors Services’ team members possess. In a list of 50 things that Neo-Seniors Services could do, we pride ourselves on having the judgment and courage to say no to 47 and yes to a carefully considered three. And those three things are not typically obvious to many outside the company. One of the first things we decided to do is consolidate knowledge and wisdom from other sources and make them available to our customers. We think this agnostic approach to our content is very good for all our stakeholders. Like Michelangelo once said: “I saw the angel in the block of marble and carved until I set that angel free”. This is what we do for our customers. These are the things that define Neo-Seniors Services.
