Sandy quickly dispels the myth Brightline goes to Disney Springs. The train starts at MCO in it's private terminal in front of the new terminal C. Hear about how easy and relaxing this travel truly is. While it is not a time saver overall in the trip to Port Everglades, it does not deal with possible traffic jams and is an enjoyable ride. All seats offer regular power and USB outlets plus a spacious tray table. For no extra fee, you can select a full size table to sit at as well. There is also an option to upgrade to first class with larger seating areas and snacks/drinks included.
Unlike when flying, there is no need to arrive at the terminal more than 20 minutes early. Not only is security a breeze, while your bags are scanned, you are welcome to bring beverages and snacks with you.
The Brightline terminal is spacious and bright. It includes a family play area and the largest family restrooms we have ever seen. On board you can easily walk up and down the extra wide aisle with wiggly little ones. The onboard restrooms including being all hands free are about 4 times the sizes of an airplane lavatory making it super easy with young ones.
On arrival in Fort Lauderdale there is a shuttle to the port or airport as well as first class passengers get free Uber within 5 miles of the terminal.
Overall, not only is this an easy way to get to the new port, it is a fun and relaxing experience!
