Caleb Allport and Joe Hough are both Staffordshire musicians known for being in various local bands, notably The Current, Bonsai, Release and Look Busy. Now, they're working on a brilliant journalistic project called Lo Tide Collective, interviewing independent artists across the UK and shining a spotlight on unsigned talent. Molly Gould is a freelance writer, radio show host and yoga instructor, and Lucas Yeomans is a BBC Radio Stoke presenter. Together, the pair are the compares of The Honey Box, a monthly, live-streamed show highlighting talented musicians in the region.
I put their local music knowledge to the test with a quiz - and heard all about their cancelled gigs of 2020, and shows to look forward to this year.

Sal and Pops - formerly known as Passion and The Veins - are a Northern Soul power duo who captivate any audience with their energetic dancing and groovy vocals. The girls have released two tracks in collaboration with the Northern Soul Orchestra, and are looking forward to reuniting with each other after lockdown. Let's talk soul and style!

Bathtub are heading into 2021 swinging. The rock duo are making a huge amount of noise in the scene, and have recently released their single Fallin THRU, with plans to put out an EP later this year. Hear Olly and Brandon chat about their latest single, their appearance on The Honey Box, and what's to come for the band.

Black Coast came off an eight-day tour into a national lockdown - but that hasn't stopped them making noise. They released their Isolation Tapes in aid of the Music Venues Trust, recorded only on mobile phones. In January, they headed into the studio with Sam Bloor Record Producer to record a much anticipated album.

Matt and John have been working together on various projects for 10 years. Matt - who has quite an unusual day job - has released his third album Shape of the Sky this January. John is also working on an album for TJMB, as well as working on Rose&Cloud and Borogoves.
