Why do we place so much emphasis on compromise? And why do we so often settle for a mediocre outcome when our potential is so much greater? From the moment we're able to comprehend human language, our parents and educators have been teaching us the importance of compromise. We've been taught to think that compromise is essential for successful relationships, careers, and even in our businesses. But, what if we've been misled all along? What if the secret to a fulfilled life is actually placing greater emphasis on NOT compromising? What if it were possible to achieve success without sacrifice? I believe it is possible - and in this first episode of the Uncompromised Podcast I'm going to introduce you to exactly how we'll journey through that together.

About Mark YoungMark Young is an entrepreneur, educator, author, philanthropist, and travel nut. If ever a person existed who can point out everything that is wrong with anything, you’ve just found him. It’s a terrible trait when trying to make friends, but one that always seems to make for successful implementation. Seriously, this guy can find the flaw in any plan –and manages to do it before anything goes wrong. It’s really annoying, at first, but if you keep an open mind to the criticism, it’s just gold. And having been an entrepreneur and marketer for nearly 30 years, we would be remiss not to. listen.

At the root of everything, however, Mark is an educator and teacher. Disassembling projects, campaigns, or even financial statements, Mark manages to reverse engineer a solution, then takes the time to teach anyone who will stop and listen. And it is no wonder, given the fact that he holds university degrees in nearly every discipline you can imagine. And if you ask him why, he’ll simply reply, “Why not?” Ask about the time he decided to join American MENSA on a dare –and succeeded. All of that said, Mark’s most admirable quality is the genuine concern and ownership he takes of his clients’ businesses. If there were a way to give more than 100%, this is the guy who would find a way to do it. He works the numbers, then works them again, reducing everything to a metric and finding ways to improve.

“Do the right thing for the client, regardless of the cost. It’ll come back to you. I promise.” – Mark Young

Date Your Clients is a step-by-step juxtaposition between the relational skills required in dating and those required to be successful in business. With chapter titles such as, The First Date, Meeting the Family, and The First Fight, the author seamlessly weaves his way through the complicated landscape of relationships and provides humorous illustrations of life’s worst moments. About Adam Wills

I help companies who market products and services related to law enforcement or the military, or are in the hunting & fishing, dignitary security, private security, and private investigations industries.

As a former 15-year law enforcement veteran, deputized US Marshal, law enforcement administrator, lover of hunting and fishing, and enthusiast of all things tactical, I know how to speak yours and your customer's language.

About Austin Molcyk

I began my career in public service with firefighting and EMS, as 4 of the 5 people in my family did. After two years I was presented the opportunity to switch to law enforcement and never looked back. I worked the jail, switched to patrol, climbed to Patrol Sergeant, and was accepted onto SWAT. I focused primarily on fugitives and narcotics in rural areas, working with the FBI, DEA, HSI, USPI, Secret Service, and the US Marshals Violent Offender Task Force.

During this time, I earned 9 instructor certifications, served as a Field Training Officer, and discovered a love for teaching.

After 8 adventurous years in law enforcement, fate dictated I take a medical retirement. I am now the Chief Automation Officer for BreacherCRM, and Client Success Manager for StoryWeb Creative. I am also in the product testing stage for a revolutionary new emergency communications platform I hope to launch in late 2022.

If you've ever sat through any form of presentation, chances are great that you've been in one that just... sucked. If you've ever been tasked with giving a presentation, hopefully you've remembered those lackluster presentations and wanted to stay far away from hosting one of your own. But how? How do you manage to captivate an audience while still being informative? Dan Fraser of Fraser Training Solutions, and author of "Kickass Presentations" joins us this week to help break the topic down.

About Dan Fraser

Dan Fraser is a presentation maven. He takes hard lessons from over 20 years of building and delivering dynamic presentations in government and the private sector - and hands them to you on a silver platter. In 2020 Dan retired from the Calgary Police Service in Alberta, Canada, where he helped to train thousands of officers and partner agencies. Dan uses his experience as a stand-up comedian to help instructors hone their ability to deliver unforgettable training. His book Kickass Presentations has just launched!

It doesn't matter if you meant to or not, you brought more home with you than you should have while you were (or are) a cop. Perhaps one of the biggest reasons you started your own business is to escape some of that, and take command over your own schedule. However if you can't find a way to drop those workaholic tendencies, all you've done is redefine "Retired On Duty."

Be happy. Be healthy. K.I.S.S.

All LEOs know that physical fitness can be the key to your survival on patrol. But is it really that big of a deal if you work an assignment that is mostly office hours? What if you're retired? Who could you ever need to fight for your very survival now that you're a COPreneur?

Yourself.

Despite everything you just read, my guest this week takes a very logical and guilt free approach to finding motivation and reason to carve time out in your schedule to make sure you're taking care of yourself. Can you push yourself while still remaining inside your comfort zone? Come listen and find out.

And you will gain confidence, giving you more flexibility in your offer, allowing you to charge what you're worth. SEO is a thing that most COPreneurs don't fully understand. Yet, every entrepreneur and business owner on the planet seems to put SEO at the top of the list of things they think they need for their business to succeed.

SEO is important. Very important. But unless you like throwing your hard-earned cash into a dumpster fire, you better understand the strategy behind it first.

SEO is something that you can't just take lightly or assume that you will get. SEO is one of those things where you have to plan it out and then do it right. You have to spend time and effort planning your approach and then implement it in the right way.

In this episode, my guest, Michael Knorr and l will dive into some basics of what SEO ACTUALLY is and how to start optimizing your website. If you're new to SEO and want to learn more about an effective strategy for your business, stick around till the end of the show for instruction on how to get a free audit and competitor analysis.

How do you package up and productize your intellectual knowledge? And you might be asking, what do I mean by that? Many of you have started or are growing businesses that have to do with your knowledge, your skill, your ability, and other things that you've gained during your law enforcement careers.

Maybe you have started instructor, businesses, or training businesses. And you are using those skills and that knowledge in your business. That is ultimately what you are selling. But the problem is most of you are likely on the hamster wheel of exchanging your time for money. And this is a fruitless endeavor that eventually is going to lead to your burnout.

So, this episode is all about how we take our intellectual property, our knowledge, and how we productize it, package it up, and sell it. How do we take it from something that requires us to be somewhere or do something in person to provide a service, and instead, be able to sell that in a way, put it out there into the world in a way that doesn't require your time and energy. This is a powerful concept that will allow you to live a life of freedom and enjoyment and get off of that hamster wheel.

We're making a bit of a shift and with season 2 of the podcast, the new COPreneur Path Podcast! This slightly different platform is actually in response to you, the listeners. I put out a survey a while back on LinkedIn and I surveyed some of you that I have direct contact with, and the response was a resounding, "Yes! We want a podcast that is focused specifically on the idea of copreneurship and the path from going from cop to copreneur, and becoming a successful post-LEO entrepreneur."

So, what I want to do today to usher in this slightly new, slightly changed, or I should say more focused podcast is to talk to you about my five biggest regrets as a copreneur. Now I feel like the term regret is sort of a stronger word than I'd like to use here, because do I actually regret anything? No, I don't. I don't regret a single thing about my journey thus far. Everything that I have been through in both a positive and a negative has been ultimately for the positive.

I don't regret a single thing, but are there things that I would like to go back and change or things that I wish that I knew before what I know now. And that's what this podcast has always been about. It's all about sharing with you my own journey and what I've learned along the way to help you be successful entrepreneurs. I'm hoping that by discussing these five biggest regrets of mine with you, that they too will be helpful. And they'll usher in this new chapter, this new season, this new era in the podcast that is now the COPreneur Path Podcast!

What happens when a law enforcement or first responder career comes to an end, whether through retirement, resignation or injury? What are the options for a new career or business? And how about the emotional, psychological and family impact of leaving? These are some of the tough questions we tackle during this episode.

I'm talking with Tom Wheelhouse, a former member of the Metropolitan Police in London who now heads up Mightify as a specialist in career change. When it comes to transitioning from your work as a law enforcement or first responder professional, Tom and I both feel it's critical to help you see that there are positive options. It's also important to understand many of the real and perceived barriers can be broken down and there are a host of tool and resources available to help you thrive.

We also touch on what agencies and employers can do to better support, develop, and retain their officers and staff. And because Tom is in the UK, we note a few of the differences and similarities between the UK and the US.This is a great conversation, be sure and listen!

Our conversation after that was so good, we decided to jump on and record a podcast to discuss it further. Listen in on our conversation, because I am trying to create a paradigm shift within law enforcement and hope that you too will join me in that.
