Sommerfeld joined Concordia University's Theology faculty in 2016. He has served as a rural dual parish pastor in Kansas and a small town pastor in Nebraska, as well as serving as a senior pastor at a Nebraska church with a campus ministry. In 2015, he completed 12 years as president of the Nebraska District of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
This interview is about his journey through his faith and his life as a parish pastor and professor of Theology at Concordia University, Nebraska.

Eric and I were able to sit down and chat about the language and interpretations of God's Word. It was awesome to see my friend again and talk about the questions behind this topic! Was it sometime in the Spring or was it on December 25th like we acknowledge it? We'll let you decide.
