Hey, I'm Kyle. You might have seen us on Youtube, Instagram, and Facebook. Dirt bikes are a passion of mine. I focus mainly on the off road and enduro segments of our sport because that is the riding me and my friends focus on. Think of this as an extension of the more than 700 videos found on YouTube. Here we talk all things related to off road and enduro style dirt bike riding. With topics ranging from full dirt bike reviews, gear reviews, riding tips, and other general non-sense, we have the off road rider covered.

Let's have a chat about maintenance items. Nobody tells you that if you want to ride dirt bikes you need to also become a mechanic at at least some level, but it's true. The more things you can do at home in your garage, the more you will ride, the more money you will save, and the better your overall experience is going to be. But there are some things that I won't (or just don't often) do at home. Hope you enjoy.

Not many of these things around. Maybe only 500 or so in the USA each year spread across the entire model range. I'd never seen one in person before getting mine
Hand built and you can see they are just a little different than the more mainstream, mass produced bikes. I'll tell you what this bike mostly resembles at the end of the podcast here. Stay tuned for that.
Support DBC by using the links on my website for Rocky Mountain ATV
This is a sweepstakes bike for June
I weighed mine at 245 lbs full of fuel. It came with a rad fan installed and a skid plate, but it didn't cover the linkage. It also had Estart and the kickstart. Had hand guards too That is 6 lbs heavier than my 23 KTM 300 XC, but still pretty darn close. It's basically identical in weight to my 22 GasGas EC300
Power valve is a little weird since it resets and has to go through it's calibration process each time the bike is started. The dealer mitigated this for me by installing an arming switch which essentially keeps the power on the bike so that it doesn't know it's shut off. I can then use this to keep the bike from cycling the power valve calibration each time.
Right off the bat I could tell that the forks and shock are a little stiff for hard enduro or slower riding. My first and only ride so far was on some pretty rocky terrain. I was bouncing all over the place. Removed all clicks and was better, but still not great. Why do all the bike makers assume we are hard charging racers?
The bike seems fairly front end biased. Lots of front end traction, but maybe has a tendency to knife the front end down if you arne't careful. Kinda like the rear end is pretty tall. Feels more like a single track/hard enduro bike, than a desert machine. Feels shorter front to back than some of the other bikes I've had recently like the YZ450FX and the KTM 250 XC
Foot pegs come out flat... makes it easier for my feel to slip off the pegs
Motor is crazy powerful. Very snappy. Easy to lift the front wheel off the ground. Starts really quickly. I need to adjust my idle up. Vibrations still there
Brembo brakes, but my front brake needed to be bled out. I didn't notice it until the night before I went to ride it. Wasn't great on the trail and I have since bled the air out of the line to make it better for my next ride.
Plastics are a little sharp in places like on the rear fender. I've nearly cut my hands a couple of times lifting the bike on an off stands. Seems a little more brittle of a plastic than some of the bikes from what I've seen so far.
Hands and feet feel close together and the triple clamps don't allow for multiple bar positions. Maybe you can order it with different triple clamps, but mine did'n't come that way.
Feels and awful lot like a Sherco 300SE. Like crazy. there I said it

In this podcast we will go through all the things Tyler can remember doing with the bike from the front to back. Buckle up because this is a lot!
This is the biggest sweepstakes I have ever done. Every part of this GasGas has been upgraded. Tyler from @enduro_builds on IG built this beast. We spared no expense and will do a full video on the bike soon. It's the grand prize and there is over 25K into this bike not including any labor.
The runner up for the March Sweepstakes will get the 2023 Yamaha YZ450FX, which is a beast in its own right. What sort of world do we live in when a brand new 450 is the consolation prize?

Last time I had a YZ450 it was a 2014 model. It's been 9 model years.
Right off the bat I was reminded that Yamaha makes these bikes thinking that moto tracks are the baseline and that you won't encounter rocks or roots. It's pretty darn stiff. So, I took off my handlebars (damn clickers are right under the bars) and loosened things up as much as they'd go.
Bouncing off everything like a pogo stick at first, but it became more manageable afterwards. If you were racing desert in 4th gear, it's likely really good. But I was going in 2nd gear and 3rd gear through some relatively rocky terrain.
Motor - holy crap power! In fact, in the MX power feeling map (the main hot map), it's too much for the terrain I was riding. Talk about wrist and arm fatigue. It just wears you out since every bump or minor twist of the throttle is like when the Saturn 5 rocket ignites to send you to the moon.
There is too much power here for mere mortals riding tight trails, or rocky trails. It's just too much hit. I'm sorry, but it's true.
Luckily, Yamaha has the power tuner app and I was able to really make a difference to the power
This might be the best reason to buy the Yamaha over the Honda, KTM, or the Kawi. Ability to make meaningful changes to the power right out on the trail. Why don't they all do this? Makes no sense.
When you soften the motor, it also seems to soften the feel of the rear end of the bike. I know it sounds strange, but it's not the first time I've felt it on a bike either.

I was on record clear back in 2018 when KTM first released their TPI 2 stroke saying it would save the 2 stroke dirt bike
Now it's 6 model years later and we've got the next iteration of fuel injected 2 strokes and it's throttle body injected and it's amazing
2023 XC (and SX) models are getting the simpler version without the oil pump to fail
2024 Enduro models might end up having oil injection with the TBI... not confirmed, but likely. This would satisfy both camps of oil pumpers and non pumpers... just coined that term now!
Premix oil in the gas on the XC bikes and oil injection on the Enduro models?
Also electronic power valve to give crazy crisp throttle response and delivery - these are the most powerful 2 stroke engines I've ever been around.
Are they too hot? Only time will tell
Love that you can adjust the idle right on the throttle body - that was so annoying with the TPI bikes.
TPI bikes - some tuning required..... TBI bikes nope. My 125, 250, and 300 all run crazy good.

Being cold on a ride can really dampen things. I can think back in a number of rides when the cold really took the fun out of things. Most of the time, this happens at the beginning or the ending of a day. We have some real challenges:

Here is a rebroadcast of an episode we did a couple of years ago about getting stronger with strength training and what that might do for us.
Let's do a thought experiment. Imagine what your life would be like if you were the same size and weight, but you were 10 times stronger than you are now. Everything you do would be easier. Picking up the kids, getting groceries, doing chores around the house, and yes... riding your dirt bike would be easier. You would be more durable, have less aches and pains, possibly prevent injuries, all while looking and feeling better about yourself.
When Bill Hannon reached out to me with this thought experiment, he hooked me for a chat. Of course we don't want to become NFL linebackers, but could many of us stand to become a little stronger? I know I could. Bill is a mechanical engineer turned strength and conditioning coach, oh and he's a dirt bike rider too. That gives him a unique perspective on this subject. I hope you enjoy the conversation.

2022 Honda CRF450RX
It's my 1st 450 in about 6 years. A lot has changed in that time. Most of it has been me.
We get more efficient on the bikes and while I'm certainly not a top level rider, I'm also not a beginner anymore. The first 450 I had nearly snuffed out my desire to ride. The second one was better, but it was still wresting a bear.
Now starting my 11th year (depending on how we count), the CRF450RX is like growing up and meeting that old bully from high school. This time, you aren't scared of him. This time, you are looking at him eye to eye without fear and without pretense. You've grown, you've gotten stronger, and you have confidence. You know the only way he can hurt you is if you let him hurt you. You are in control now and it makes all the difference.

If I had a nickel for every time someone asked me about riding alone, I'd have more nickels than the average person. The truth is that I ride alone all the time. I take precautions to mitigate risk, but at the end of the day, we are always managing risks with everything we do. For me, the benefits outweigh the risks because I get recharged when I'm in solitude in the mountains or desert in a way that I don't get when I'm in a group of people.
When I'm alone, I feel things differently. I see things differently. I experience the world in a way that really helps to center me. In short, I love it. Yes, it's okay to ride alone. I mean, you are in more danger driving to the riding location than you are when you are riding, but there is usually someone there to call 911 on the highways and byways. In the wild, it might be a while. I'm okay with that. Are you?

Love the electric start
Bike is really light - 220 lbs - feels like there is nothing there sometimes. This is a blessing and a curse - Can put the bike anywhere, but it's moving around down there and you have to flow with it.
Swapping from KX250X and the 125 XC yesterday - made the KX feel heavy
Carbs - Used 3 carbs already on the bike - lot of tuning already - SC2 carb working the best of all of them so far.
It's got plenty of power.... as long as you stay in the power - not much power down low
This thing rips in the desert and has no trouble lofting the front wheel over ditches as long as you are in the meat of the power.
Highly recommend this bike to several people

Winterizing a dirt bike was on my topic list from listeners. I typed out a few bullet points and then did a google search for this to see if I saw other others, and my video from 2 years ago was the first hit. I forgot that I even did a video on it! I did see that Rocky Mountain did a video similar to mine a year earlier in 2017, but I didn't watch that until today. I don't watch very many other dirt bike videos. I try to avoid it when possible, but I do like to watch some of those RMATV videos.
Hope you enjoy the show!

Here we go with my full review of the 2020 Sherco 300 SEF Factory. It's certainly one of my all time favorite 4 stroke enduro bikes. It's got the best fork valving of any of the bikes I've ridden in the last year. In the video I will point out several things I really love about the bike and some things that they really need to improve upon.
Hopefully this will be helpful to many of you out there.

First 1.5 hours on the bike. I will have at least 5 more months with the bike so stay tuned, but here are some first notes.
Bike feels REALLY Narrow between your legs - like it's not eve there. That is a great feeling. Was wearing my knee braces and still could barely feel the bike.
Once I turned the fork compression all the way out, the front forks worked pretty well for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear riding that I was doing today. It didn't defect badly when I was in 1st gear for those few times. Probably a good mix for a go fast bike.
Took 3 clicks of compression out the the slow speed comp on the rear. This seemed to give the bike a more planted feeling for the choppy rocks and braking bumps I was encountering.
The motor is very snappy and "racy". Feels might more high strung like the YZ250FX did. Has decent torque down low. Didn't stall the bike on technical climbs, but I was REALLY careful with my clutch work since it doesn't seem like it's got the grunt of the Sherco 300 SEF. Makes the front end feel pretty light and playful. More playful feel than the Sherco, although if I'm going to spend a full day in the slow stuff, give me the Sherco.
Loves to corner and carve around berms. Gave me confidence in my front end.
Didn't feel the issue on the 5 speed
Fuel tank too small

I don’t want to own a good dirt bike… I want a freaking GREAT DIRT BIKE!
These days Every major manufacturer (and even some of the really small ones) makes a good dirt bike. Some of them only make MX bikes, and while I don’t ride MX, I think it’s safe to say that 3 out of the 4 Japanese brands make fantastic MX bikes.
As we move more into the “off road” or enduro bikes, there are even more choices since there are more of us riding these bikes. Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, KTM, Husvquarna, Sherco, Beta, GasGas, TM designs….. all these brands make GOOD enduro bikes. They all do.
But who makes a GREAT bike? And who gets to decide makes differentiate a good bike from a great bike?

I get this question a lot in my email. So many guys love the YZ250X since it’s a great platform, great motor, great forks, and it’s a cheaper bike than some of the others.
Lets get another thing out of the way, I didn’t like the YZ250X, I LOVED my 2017 YZ250X… go back and watch the review I did on it. GLOWING remarks at the time.
We'll set aside the fact that the Yamaha YZ250X is literally a 2004- 2006 YZ250 (16-18 years old) with an 18" rear wheel, lower compression motor, a little extra flywheel weight, Kickstand, and a weird spaced 5 speed gear box that doesn’t really work that great anywhere.
$7600 vs $10,000 - $2400 cheaper on the Yami, but it’s 18 model years older!
I’ll take the KTM 250XC any day of the week and twice on Saturday! This podcast will help you understand why that is.

Here are some of my thoughts after riding the bike for 10 hours. This is NOT my full review.
Needs improvement -
Air filter is hard to get in there - could easily be installed wrong and suck dirt
oil filler is right under the hot exhaust - hard to do without burning
battery is down below airbox. Good luck jumping this bike if needed
Have to remove skid plate to change oil, since oil plug are on the bottom
The bike makes me sore???
Super easy to bend radiators
Rear brake sticks too far out
Didn’t love stock pegs
The grips are too hard. Cut them off after the first ride.
Good -
Skid plate bolts to frame front and rear
Forks are great
Motor not too snappy but great for single track.
Spark arrested in factory model
Radiator fan on factory model
Turns really quick
Feels really light
Noticed-
Fork height
Starts better when you give throttle
Clutch pull heavier

Still have to pay tax on the bike either way.
New bike
You pay a lot for the bike up front. - Boo!
MUCH easier to find what you want when it’s new. Dealers have them all over. Might need to drive a couple of hours though.
You know everything that has happened with the bike. Not inheriting someone else problems.
Some bikes do have a 30 day warrantee. If something goes wrong, a good dealer will back it up. If you find a great dealer, they will back it up even with no warrantee from the manufacturer.
Easier to install protective items when new. Bent parts are hard to work with sometimes.
They lose the most amount of money in that first year or so. Just know that going into this.
1-3 year old bikes sell for more money used, Recoup that money and put it toward the next bike.
Say you spent 10 Grand on the bike and rode it for 2 years and sold for $7500. If you had saved $105 each month to your new bike fund, you have the money you need for the next new bike. A new bike every 2 years is really nice.
Used bike
You pay less for the bike up front - Yah!
BUT you enlisted yourself in a part time job to find it.
Awkward negotiations
The buyer will try to get his money out of all the aftermarket parts he put on the bike. They don’t matter much in price, so do pay him for them. (Honda accord example)
At after you ride the used bike for 2-3 years, it hasn’t depreciated as much as the new bike, but it’s no spring chicken either. Sometimes these bikes can sell quickly, but you are dealing with a younger crowd and a lot of tire kickers, that don’t really have the money. They will want to organize a lot of trades.

Today we are talking tires. Since my introduction to “hybrid gummy” tires, I don’t want to use a traditional compound that has been around forever. These hybrid gummy tires don’t last quite as long as the harder compounds, but they perform better. I’ll take that trade off everyday of the week. Any of these tires is still cheaper than one round of golf and these will last you far more than one afternoon. Just keeping things in perspective.
Most of my rear tires are 110/100 R18, but occasionally I’ll run a 120/100 R18.
Rear Tires:
IRC VE33s Gekkota - Great all around tire hybrid gummy tire. Gets better traction than your typical knobby tire, and lasts a long time. - Around $90 and hard to find this tire in stock. Make sure you get the version with the “s" at the end of the 33.
Shinko 505 Cheater - Gummy hybrid trials/offroad tire. Breaks down quickly but gets good traction even after it’s broken down due to the compounds in the tire. - Very cheap tire and great on rocky terrain. Not as great in the sand and mud.
Shinko 525 Cheater - Still a gummy hybrid off-road tire, but leans more toward a traditional knobby tire in it’s pattern. The 120 seems to hold up a little longer than the 110. Very cool tire. Still a cheap tire for the money, and does great in the sand and mud. Better in those places than the 505 cheater. It’s a bit heavier tire than many others.
Dunlop AT81EX - This is a soft compound gummy tire. Overall, it’s the best performer I’ve ever used. It has the same tread pattern as the standard AT81 tire, but the gummy compound makes it hook up on rocks and roots like a hero. - Around $113 but so worth it especially if you are going on a multi day riding trip and want the best tire on your bike. Keep running it even when it looks absolutely terrible. It can go 20-25 hours, it will look like crap but still be hooking up.
Tusk Recon - Great value. While still a hybrid gummy tire, this one is the cheapest of all. Very similar to the Shinko 505. Lasts a long time. Not as great in the mud as some of the others, but can’t beat it for the price.
Front Tires:
Bridgestone M59 - Great all-round front tire. My favorite for mountain single track and all around riding. Only comes in one size - 80/100-21. Get it.
IRC IX-09W - Great all around front tire in the 80/100-21 size. Lasts long and performs well.
Shinko 546 - Great front tire to smash into rocks and do desert riding. Not quite as sharp in handling and the M59 since it’s taller and wider in a general sense, but I like this tire. Comes in different sizes which is nice.

The best thing about me and my testing is that you get the raw truth about exactly what I think of a bike. There is no sugar coating. I don't care what color it is, if it's got 2 strokes or 4, I don't care about the color.... if it's good and makes me happy to ride it, you will know. If it makes me want to ride more, you will know about it.

This is my 4th Beta now. I thought the first (2017 300RR) bike I rode was just ok. Nothing really wrong with it, but it didn't "wow" me either. The next two Betas I had were really, really good. I named the 2019 390RR Race Edition as my favorite all time 4 stroke. That bike is awesome! The 2020 200RR was incredibly good. It does some things better than any other bike I've tested. So I went out and purchased my first Beta, the 2020 300RR Race Edition. You get the straight talk here. No agenda, and no BS. If it's good and I like it, you are going to hear about it. I talk about what I think will happen very soon with GasGas enduro dirt bikes and the GasGas trials bikes. This is me watching the industry, looking at what has happened in the past, and putting "2 and 2" together.

Today Justin Deschamps and I talk about one of the best companies in the motorsports industry here in the USA. Justin has worked for RMATV/MC for 20 years next March, and has had his fingers in many parts of the company. We'll chat about various products lines, research, development, testing, industry trends, and more.
We'll also go into detail on the Tusk Recon Hybrid dirt bike tire since Justin played a significant part in that process. Hope you enjoy!

Here are five things I wish that I would have known when getting started into dirt bikes. The hope here is that these concepts and ideas will help shorten your learning curve.
1st thing - Dirt bikes aren’t scary and you shouldn’t ride quads or ATVs living in fear of what you could have on a dirt bike!
2nd thing - Get the right tool for the job!
3rd thing - There is this thing called single track and it’s going to change your life!
4th thing - Slow is HARD... Learn slow… fast
5th thing - Let's talk tires for a minute... or 10

Buying a left over model is a great way to get a good deal. I’ve done this over the years and it’s a fantastic way to get a new bike. You can get 1K or more off those left over floor models. Right now all the dealers are trying to get rid of 2019 models since all the 2020s are in stock and have been coming for months now. This question revolves around whether or not its and XC model or an XC-W Model. THis is VERY important here.
Lets start with the XC line since I have even more passionate feelings about the XC-W line this time around.
XC Line Pro 2019 Comments
XC Line Pro 2020 Comments
XC-W
If we were having this conversation a couple of months ago before I had the chance to ride a 2020 XC-W… this would have gone differently.
I’d have given you some speech about how the bikes don’t usually improve that much from year to year, so you should save the 1K and put that toward gas and tires.
I'm not going to do that here.
The 2020 KTM 300XC-W is so much better than my 2019, I don’t even want to own it anymore. If I could drop the mic, it would happen right now.
New frame, new fork valving. New geometry in that bike. It’s the best combination of plush front fork to soak everything up while still feeling balanced and aggressive that I’ve ever seen in a bike. It’s stupid good.
I’ve ridden it in the mountains back to back with the Beta 200RR and the forks felt more plush. The bike felt heavier to me than the 200RR, but that is to be expected. The point is that the forks gave me the impression the trail was smoother than on the Beta… and the Beta fork was impressing me!
I’ve ridden it on the Red Trail near 5 miles of hell… Long story there….but it was fantastic. I have ridden the bike in whoops and it’s staying straight and true and confidence inspiring and
Holy crap I want one. I want to dump my 2019 ASAP. Sucks because I need to pour some more hours into it for the long term test. Maybe I’ll ask someone else to keep slamming hours into it and see when it breaks.

I share the story of getting stranded in one of the worst places in all of Utah to have a dead dirt bike. What do you do? Your bike was running one minute, and not the next. What now? Lucky you are only about a 7 mile (2 miles of nasty and 5 miles of easy) walk to the truck, but what do you do with this 250 lb piece of dead weight in the middle of hell?

Today we chat with Tim Pilg, the president of Beta USA. We cover Tim's backstory in dirt bikes and his rich history in our sport. He gives us amazing insights into the company and how the bikes get from Italy to the USA. We find out what is important to Beta as a company and how they make decisions on their bikes. Tim talks about many of the things that makes a Beta dirt bike special, and whom they are making these bikes for. We will also cover the future of the Beta lineup as it relates to two stroke fuel injection, whether the entire market is going up or down, and if electric bikes will be part of the discussion.

We have mandatory safety gear and optional safety gear in our sport. We are going to talk about those things and which is which. Plan on spending between $500 on the low end - $1000 on the mid end - and Over 2K on the high end. The good news is that quality gear lasts a long time. I can still wear my first riding boots that I bought in 2010. Know that your helmet will need to be replaced if you hit your head hard. Don’t gamble on that. They are designed to absorb one really good hit. I didn't even go into goggles, but I don't want you to forget eye protection either.

Let's get real here for a minute - there is a ton of money spent on aftermarket parts in the off road dirt bike world. I think it’s more than motocross: skid plates, protection, radiator guards, billet covers, billet parts, auto clutches, steering dampening, disk guards, swing arm guards, plastics, grips, foot-pegs, clutch levers, risers, bars, brake levers, motor mods, head mods, carburetors, shift levers, brake pedals, radiator fans, batteries, headlights, sprockets, hand guards, kick stands, wheels, hubs, exhaust pipes, throttle tubes, gas caps, titanium bolts, mirrors, fork guards, fork shoes, TUBliss, Bibs, tugger straps, tie downs, The list goes ON and ON. Let’s talk about the benefits and discuss if it’s always better, or if it just looks better.
But is it always better?

For most adult men looking to get into dirt biking, I would suggest either a 250 4 stroke, or a 125/150 2 stroke. The reason for these models is they don’t have too much power. Most people make the mistake of buying a bike that has too much power and it gets them into trouble. The bigger motors also make the bikes feel heavy, and tend to ride you more than you ride the bike!
Keep in mind that you aren't marrying the bike. You will have it on average 2-4 years and then try something different. No need to think that you'll have this bike forever.
Some good bikes to look for are:
More trail oriented:
Honda CRF250X (4 stroke)
Yamaha WR250F (4 stroke)
Beta Xtrainer (2 stroke)
More race oriented:
Yamaha YZ125 (2 stroke)
KTM 150 or 200 XC-W (2 stroke)
Beta 200RR (2 stroke) - Highly recommend this bike. Lower seat height on this Beta than the other brands.
Yamaha YZ250 FX (4 Stroke)
KTM 250 XC-F (4 stroke). This bike is probably the most difficult overall bike to ride on this list. It likes to be pushed hard. Does not do well if you are a slower rider.
Beta 390RR (4 stroke) very forgiving and easy to ride for most riders. Lower seat height on the Beta bikes which is nice. Is better to only get this if you are ridden some before.
KTM 300 XC-W - This bike is too much for most beginning riders, but many have started on it. Is better to only get this if you are ridden some before

Brooks Tomblin and I talk about the performance carburetors they produce for the dirt bike fanatics out there.
Company has been around since 1974
Company advertises: Better fuel atomization, better throttle response, better fuel economy.
What is your history with dirt bikes?
Can you give us a brief history of Lectron as a carburetor manufacturing company? 2014 dirt bike application timeframe? Street bikes and drag racing...
Without sharing the secret sauce, how does the technology of your carb work to allow a dirt bike rider to ride their Lectron installed bike at sea level and 12,000 feet without tuning? Sounds too good to be real.
This audience is all about dirt bikes, but can you tell us some of the other applications where your carbs are being used currently if any?
This year you have made improvements and released a new and improved version of the 38mm Carb. How do you go about testing and improving your products? Do you Dyno the bikes? Flow test? How does it work? Flow bench testing. They are also testing on the dyno. Also sent the carbs out to the beta test riders.
What changes were made to the carbs this year going to the H-series? Full 4mm of taper on the new carb, among other things - added 60% of taper on the bore - tons of testing and refinement.
What are the main benefits (as you see them) for installing your product for a dirt biker?
2 stroke vs 4 stroke. I’m guessing that you are selling more 2 stroke carbs due to EFI technology being more mature on the 4 strokes, but do carbureted 4 strokes get the same benefits with Lectron Carbs as the 2 strokes do?
Metering rods. Seems like if I switch from KTM to Beta, or Honda to Yamaha, all I really need is a different metering rod installed in my Lectron slide. Can you tell us why this is the case?
With KTM moving to EFI technology on their 2 strokes, what does that mean for your company? How do you stay relevant in that market climate? What are the plans for the eventual hit in sales
Bonus: What about electric bikes?

This is not my full review. This is just my initial thoughts from the 4 hours I've ridden the bike. Beta has done an awesome job with this bike overall. When you look at what Beta accomplishes with these bike, and the price point knowing they make far less bikes than many of manufacturers, it's pretty incredible.
Motor
Suspension/Chassis
Plastic/body
Much more to come on my full review.

I now have nearly 40 hours on the 2020 TPI bikes. They are two of the best running dirt bikes I have ever been around. They probably are the best running bikes I have ever had. I have 20 hours on the 2020 KTM 300 XC TPI and the same on the 250 XC TPI. KTM has been making these bikes consistently better each year. I can really tell that when I compare them directly to the 2019 carbureted bike and the 2019 TPI bike that I still have. When you ride them back to back, that becomes clear.

How did we get here? It all started at 2 years old on the front of "billy goat", my dad's 1980 Honda 500 XLS dirt bike. We chronicle from those early days up to the present day with more than 40 dirt bikes under my belt in the last 8 years.
