People are like onions. Not because some of them will make you cry (stop looking at Mr. Vargyas like that!), but because they’ve got layers, including hobbies and interests that you may not think they’d be interested in. To examine this idea, Mr. Vargyas talked to Mrs. Romero about her passion for scuba diving, the feeling of floating in the middle of the ocean, and why it’s best to pace yourself when it comes to eating that elephant (metaphorically, of course).

Luckily it’s 2020, and Mr. Vargyas was able to watch Onward (starring Tom Holland and Chris Pratt) and chat with Mr. Trayte about what they thought and how it compares to other movies in the Pixar lineup.
For episode two of The Social Distancing Diaries, I decided to ask my mom a question that, for some reason, I had never thought to ask her- why did you become a teacher? The answer led us to discuss why my mother was inspired, that feeling you get when you make a difference in the life of a second-grader, and what she'd say to students if they were in her classroom today.
