This sermon was taken from Matthew 16:13-19 which talk about when Christ had a conversation with his disciples asking them, "Who do men say that I am?" They answered and said that he was one of the prophets that came back from the dead or John the Baptist. Then Christ asked the disciples, "who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter answered him by saying, "You are the Christ, the Son of the LIving God." In verse 17-18 Christ says, "And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it." The Pastor explains what "church" means and how designed for it to be.1
