Nestled within India's staggering population of 1.4 billion people lies a sobering reality: nearly 95% have never truly heard the gospel message. One-third of the world's remaining unreached people groups call this diverse nation home. Against this backdrop, Seston's ministry story unfolds with remarkable courage and transformative power.
He takes us on his personal journey from an animist background to becoming a devoted follower of Christ after his family's conversion in 1992. With humble authenticity, he shares how a profound personal encounter with Jesus redirected his entire life toward full-time ministry among unreached communities across Northeast India.
What makes Seston's approach distinct is its grassroots nature. Rather than beginning with formal evangelism, his team develops innovative strategies to build genuine relationships in remote villages. Through these connections, natural opportunities emerge to share about Jesus and what He's done in their lives. We hear the stunning testimony of how a single conversion in 2004 multiplied to over 300 baptisms in one community – a pattern repeating across multiple people groups through indigenous discipleship movements.
The cost of this ministry is steep. Seston describes being arrested while visiting new believers, facing community rejection, and navigating government bans on prayer for healing. Yet his perspective on persecution is profoundly redemptive: "Wherever persecution has happened, the work grows. More people come to know Christ." Even now, with two believers imprisoned, their families continue boldly sharing their faith, resulting in new conversions.
Perhaps most striking is Seston's approach to those who oppose him. When a hostile neighbor fell seriously ill at night with no transportation available, Seston's team immediately arranged a vehicle and helped admit him to the hospital. This practical demonstration of Christ's love transformed the community's perception more powerfully than words ever could.

A haunting question changed everything for Analise: "Who is mobilizing the persecuted church?" This South African woman's journey from her homeland to Kenya reveals the powerful intersection of pioneering ministry, cross-cultural team building, and supporting believers facing persecution for their faith.
When Analise first experienced God's healing power at age 12 during a mission trip with her father, she couldn't deny His reality. Years later, after serving as both a small church and mega church pastor, a midnight prayer walk during a missions mobilization camp pointed her toward Kenya. What began as a call to mobilize others evolved into a specialized ministry for persecuted believers, particularly those from Muslim backgrounds.

In this episode we discuss with Ben G the important topic of burnout and healthy rhythms in cross cultural work. Ben recently led some workshops on these topics at our global summit and will share some of the key insights from those sessions. As global cross-cultural workers in general we are quite exposed to many stressors that may lead to being overstressed or burned out. We need to be aware of these stressors and know how to respond to them because as the saying goes prevention is better then cure.
Also, as the year begins to wind down and we start making plans for 2022 now is a great time to do a self-audit and consider how you will proactively manage your well-being in the new year.

During the month of May we recognize the international day of the unreached.
Reaching Unreached people groups is at the core of who we are as an organization. It is estimated that 90% of Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhist will never meet a Jesus follower in their lifetime. A lack of gospel access is a critical justice issue which is often overlooked in the Christian world. We are compelled to see that change.
In honor of that we have decided to re-release episode 12 a conversation with Ryan about the importance of Unreached People Groups in our missiology.
Ryan is a member of the Directional Leadership Team of the Center for Mission Mobilization (CMM.) He and his wife Margaret were youth workers in Sweden before moving into mission leadership. Alongside his CMM responsibilities, Ryan serves multiple networks like the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), Lausanne Movement, Global Mobilization Network and Vision 5:9. During the last decade he has been invited to teach and mentor theological leaders in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. He is writer and regular speaker at international mission conferences.

In this episode we will discuss the rise of the African church and its role in missions. Over the past century the church has grown rapidly in the continent of Africa. In 2018 it was the continent with the most number of Christians. However, the Africa church is currently under represented in cross-cultural missions. A recently launched network, Send Africa, is currently exploring how to address this issue through Africa based research and the Total Mobilization of the church. Sam Ngugi recently presented a talk on Total Mobilization at the Send Africa Summit. We will be discussing his presentation and others from this Summit.
Sam is the Director of Mission Campaign Network (MCN), a mission mobilization agency in Kenya. Sam and his wife Harriet are passionate mobilizers who desire to see the growth of Afro mission movement. Sam and his family are currently in the UK where he's pursuing PhD studies at Trinity College, Bristol.

In this episode, we will discuss the important topic of persecution and suffering in missions. Jesus, tells us we will face persecution, just as he did. It is a reality of missions and the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
Andries, who along with his wife Sunnette and children have served UPGs in Mozamique for many years. He will be sharing some of the lessons he has learned over the years of walking with Jesus in spite of difficult circumstances.
Persecution and suffering are real in the world that we live in and the call that we carry to reach UPGs everywhere. We should not enter into this calling lightly, we do not seek persecution or suffering but must face this reality with eyes wide open and we must count the cost of following Jesus and calling others to join us in this journey. The costs are real, but He is worth it.
