Beyond the Acceptance Letter is a podcast that aims to provide the proper resources to find which pathway is the best for their future and the tips and tricks to getting into your dream school.

In this episode, juniors Sofia Ayala and Erica Deutsch discuss the stigma behind receiving bad grades and how failure is a good thing that can lead to success. "I think there are a lot of people, in high school especially, who feel an immense amount of pressure to do their best in everything including academics," Deutsch said. "We hope to bring awareness to the fact that it is okay to fail, despite the outside influences that tell us it's not. If we learn to grow from our failures, they can turn into our greatest achievements."

For Black History Month, seniors Christi Norris, Caleb Audia and Amanda Hare discuss important contributions of African Americans throughout history in this episode of “History’s Forgotten.” This podcast highlights Dorothy Height, a civil and women's rights activist- most known for her work in the civil rights movement of the 1900s. Height played an integral role in the complete desegregation of the Young Women's Christian Association and also worked with the National Council for Negro Women and even helped organize the march on Washington. Before her death, Height was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal and after her passing, the Washington D.C. main post office was renamed the Dorothy I. Height Post Office.

In the second episode of the podcast CK-1, student Makayla Noble’s journey is shared, as well as ways you can help in her physical health fight. To continue as planned, a new podcast covering a new topic and discussion about Prosper High School will be published each week. Dr. Burdett is known for always ending emails with the phrase “For Kids.” As a result, the podcast title has a double meaning. CK-1, standing for senior and design editor Caitlyn Kennedy, is one of them, but “For Kids,” a tribute to Burdett’s email closings, also contributes to the concept.
In their ninth episode of their podcast “Over the Popcorn Bowl,” seniors Christi Norris, Amanda Hare, Gabriella Winans and Alyssa Clark discuss the Oscar-winning documentary “Free Solo.” This documentary came out in 2018, and covers the rope-free climb of Alex Honnold, who was 21 at the time, on El Capitan in June of 2017. El Capitan is a 3,000 ft. mountain made of sheer granite in Yosemite National Park. Honnold is a free-solo climber, which means he climbs mountains with no gear or equipment. There has been no known attempt to free solo this mountain until Honnold.

The main plot follows Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Kate DiBlasky (Jennifer Lawerence) who go on a media tour to alert everyone of a nine kilometer wide comet, named Comet DiBlasky, that will send mile-high tsunamis across the Earth, ending human life permanently.

"Eternals" follows 10 new heroes who have protected the Earth from Deviants, creatures set on killing humans, for 7,000 years. The plot follows the characters growing as they face a new threat. The movie released Friday, Nov. 5, and directed by Chloe Zhao. It featured actors and actresses such as Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Richard Madden and Gemma Chan.

In the second episode of “Over The Popcorn Bowl,” seniors Christi Norris, Amanda Hare, Gabby Winans and Alyssa Clark discuss their thoughts and opinions on "Romeo + Juliet". This adaptation of Shakespeare's famous play Romeo and Juliet was released on 27 Oct 1996 making this year the 25th anniversary of the film. (In the episode it was said that the release date was 1 Nov 1996 which was a mistake by the hosts.) "Romeo + Juliet" is directed by Baz Lurhman and stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Romeo and Claire Danes as Juliet. This film differs from other versions of the play because it has a modern setting but kept the original script.

In this first episode of the podcast, called CK-1, a dream that principle Dr. John Burdett has for his school and the students is shared. Every other week will be a new topic and discussion about Proper High School. Dr. Burdett is known for always ending emails with the phrase "for the kids." As a result, the podcast title has a double meaning. CK-1, standing for Senior Design Editor Caitlyn Kennedy, is one of them but principle Cares for Kids, a tribute to Burdett's email closings, also contributes to the concept.
In the second episode of season two of History’s Forgotten, seniors Christi Norris, Amanda Hare and Caleb Audia discuss women in astronomy in the late 1800s and early 1900s. In the Harvard Observatory, women were hired to work as "computers" who organized data. Two women, Annie Cannon and Henrietta Leavitt, were able to make substantial achievements. Cannon came up with a system to classify stars that's still used today and Leavitt discovered Cepheid variable stars which can be used to find the distances of other stars and galaxies.

The movie was set to release in May 2020 but was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. "Black Widow," told the backstory of Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) and her journey after Captain America: Civil War.

In the first episode of season two of History’s Forgotten, seniors Christi Norris, Amanda Hare and Caleb Audia introduce themselves to kick off the new season and discuss the life and achievements of World War I hero Charles Whittlesey. Raised in Massachusetts, Whittlesey was known for his intelligence and aristocratic nature. After graduating high school, Whittlesey attended Williams College and then continued onto Harvard Law School. From law school, Whittlesey opened a partnership in New York with one of his classmates. But he ended up stepping back from law to enlist in the army as the U.S. entered World War One. During the war, Whittlesey got trapped behind the German lines while leading his battalion. Through his patience and ingenuity, Whittlesey was able to get "the lost battalion" out of danger.

In the last episode of History’s Forgotten, seniors Maddie Moats, Caroline Wilburn and junior Christi Norris discuss the life and achievements of Rachel Carson. Born in Pennsylvania, Carson grew up with a love for nature that she carried with her throughout her life. After earning her degree, she was hired by the U.S. Bureau of Fisheries to write radio scripts during the Great Depression. Throughout her life she published many pieces that encouraged others to appreciate nature's beauty. Despite losing her battle to breast cancer, Carson's work left a legacy in both the science and literary world. As they depart from the series, Moats, Wilburn and Norris reflect on their time with the show and all the memories made.

Senator Gaylord Nelson with help from young activist Denis Hayes started the movement. Earth Day began as an educational movement and has continued as it's grown to a larger more public event. The event has led to several laws being passed to protect the environment and is now celebrated in 193 countries.

Seniors Maddie Moats, Caroline Wilburn and junior Christi Norris discuss WWII hero Charles Coward, nicknamed the “count of Auschwitz.” A British soldier, Coward was taken as a prisoner of war by the Nazi’s and made several escapes. After being exposed to the conditions of Jewish prisoners at the notorious Auschwitz, he smuggled Jews out of Auschwitz and sent codes back to Britain detailing what he witnessed at the death camp, all while still being a prisoner himself. Coward named one of the Righteous Among Nations and named a British hero of the Holocaust in 2010, 34 years after his death.

In this episode of History's Forgotten, seniors Maddie Moats, Caroline Wilburn and junior Christi Norris discuss the important contributions of female journalists Ida Tarbell and Nellie Bly. Tarbell grew up surrounded by the oil fields of Pennsylvania and was unhappy with the capitalization by John D. Rockefeller. After moving to Paris in 1890, she wrote many successful pieces and spent the rest of her life revealing the dangers of the oil field companies. Another female journalist mentioned in this episode, Nellie Bly used the technique of "muckraking" to reveal the inhumane conditions of mental asylums.

Henson faced discrimination his entire life but never let bias and hate keep him from changing the world.
