RHEMA Christian Church or RCC, is a local church in the city of Bloemfontein, South Africa, led and Pastored by Pastors Ian and Cindy Postman.
Welcome to our Podcast where you will find spiritually uplifting, encouraging and challenging messages from the Word of God.
We are entirely new creations in Christ. We are born of God, no longer born of the flesh and of our earthly parents. We have been re-created, born again, of a new kind, unprecedented, uncommon and unheard of. We are not like the world and the people of the world. We have the very nature of God Himself and therefore, we live the God kind of life, not the human life.
In Christ, we are entirely new! We are new creations, we have a new life, we have a new purpose and we're part of a new Kingdom.
Jesus is our Good Shepherd! His character is good, His plans are good and His leading is good. As we gear up for 2021, it's important to be anchored in the love and faithfulness of our Good Shepherd.
Christs' eternal sacrifice is sufficient, it's enough, it's complete to remove sins guilt, to purify our hearts and consciences and give us confidence before God.
In Christ, we were raised with Him from the dead and we are no longer in the realm of death but in the realm of eternal life! The life of God now reigns in us. We also have total liberty and freedom from the religious system and powers of this world.
God is Good And He Wants Us Well in every area of our lives - spirit, soul, body and materially! God is good. But what does that mean— that God is good? God’s goodness conveys His generosity. His goodness means far more than His generosity, but it certainly includes His infinitely generous attitude toward us. By nature, He longs to bring joy and blessing to all His creatures.
Today, we look at being Assured of Gods' Love and no matter what our experience or current circumstances are, we can be 100% secure and assured in His love, assured that He watches over us and assured that He fulfils His Word in our lives.
God’s unfailing love for us causes us to truimph and win in life! Because we are confident in His love for us, we are secure. We know He has our best interests at heart and He is working things out for our good.
God uses everything to shape us for our purpose. We encounter God for Divine Purpose, we are created by God for a life of purpose, a life of meaning and a life that impacts the lives of others for all eternity.
We are called to live our earthly lives with a Divine Purpose. One day we will all stand before Jesus Christ and give an account for our lives. We are called to live for the applause of One. Life is far more than being successful, having money, prestige, power, influence. There's nothing wrong with having wealth, power and influence but it must be used on your purpose and for your purpose.
Christ has given us a cause to live for. A Kingdom Purpose and Mission to pursue. This is not a time for the church to be passive, dormant, or timid. Instead of bemoaning the decay of the world system around us, the Word of God admonishes us to, “Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world” (Philippians 2:14-15)
In this hour, Christians are called to stand for Christ more boldly than ever before. Our stand for Christ matters and we must stand strong knowing that we are from a different Kingdom to the world, we will reach others for Christ through our stand and others will see the power of God at work in our lives.
The fire of God confronts and disrupts our cozy lives and domestic ties that keep us from being free for God. Christ hasn't come to smooth things over and make them nice. An encounter with Christ will re-arrange things, disrupt things and confront things to set us on fire and cause us to run with His fire!
God is looking for willing and surrendered vessels to use for His glory and His purposes. He is looking for this who recognise their helplessness without Him, who recognise and receive His forgiveness and who answer the call to go for Him! Will you answer the call and say, "Here I am Lord, send Me!"
Our call from Jesus is to go into all the world and share the Good News of the Gospel, even next door, in our neighbourhoods, on our city streets. We are a going church! We go to the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Christians are in a spiritual warfare. The devil, the world, and the flesh are real enemies. These spiritual enemies are out to destroy the testimony and effectiveness of the believer. The enemy will seek to take you out or make you a prisoner of war. Thus, we are called upon to be good soldiers for the war.
The church is a place to serve, to be connected, and to live on mission for God’s kingdom. We must serve, not sit; we must have community, not come-and-go; it must be about God's mission, not me.
As born again Christians, we are placed and fitted into the Body of Christ and into the local church by God. Find out how your purpose is discovered by being properly fitted into the local church.
Christ is the Vine, we are the branches and today, Pastor Cindy teaches on the importance of being planted in the local church and how this translates into a life of vital union with Christ and one another.
In Christ, we are called to stand out, not fit in. We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and God's special possession.
As the righteousness of God in Christ, God's plants us and places us in His house, the local church. We need to remain planted in order to flourish, to grow and to bring forth fruit and to remain strong even in old age.
We need to understand clearly from the Word of God what the church is exactly. Many people don't see value in the local church because they don't understand what the church is. We are not spiritual consumers, but serving members of the body of Christ.
The Christian Life cannot be lived successfully alone. The Christian life is a communal life where we don't live in isolation, but in community. Every follower of Jesus needs to be committed to community and live out our life in Christ together with others in the local church.
Jesus loves His Bride, the church. We follow on from Part 1 as we look at the importance, purpose and role of the church of Jesus Christ.
The church is the body and bride of the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ and His Church are one just as the Head and the Body are One. We cannot love the Lord and hate His church. We cannot be one with Him and separated from His church.
We don't need to have the full understanding and full reasoning to obey and act on the Word of God. His Word alone is enough for us to act on. We build our lives on the Rock when we obey His Word because of His Word.
A life not built on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ and His Word, cannot stand. What is our foundation today? What are we building our lives on?
When we are fully persuaded that God's Word is true, it will be reflected in our words and actions. A believer in Christ must be fully persuaded.
