Speaking from a Type A personality, planning has always kept me on track to reach my goals. But extreme planning has been a detriment to living a happier life. My need for things to go as planned and to control the outcome has become a root cause of my unhappiness. Letting life happen naturally, and giving myself the grace to live life without certainty has given me more joy and peace.
This episode expands on that. It's a quick episode - hope you tune in :)

Being intentional is almost a lost art. This episode is about why it is important to be intentional with your choices, words, time, and health. Getting COVID, I learned to shut off my need for distraction and center myself in the present. Focusing inward, I learn more about who I am and appreciate everything that I already have. Being intentional takes practice...and in this episode, I share some things I recommend to be more intentional with. I hope this episode makes you think about some things you may not have been intentional with and reposition yourself to change that.

Here's my short commentary/life update around the concept that "quitting is for losers." I'd disagree. There are many failures and quits that should be celebrated and encouraged. For example, quitting a toxic relationship or quitting smoking. This negative statement that is corroborated by almost everyone in our society is not helpful for those in unhealthy situations. I share my process of quitting my job and letting go. Truth be told, it was liberating. Tune in to listen more!

You probably hear this a lot "You must first be ok alone and happy before you can be in a relationship with someone else." This episode is about my time alone - detached from the things I was depending on - in order to re-evaluate my life in a better perspective. Becoming my own best friend didn't happen after isolating for 2 weeks. It's a lifelong continuous process like all other relationships. I shed some light on how being alone taught me the value of interdependency and the power of making better choices :) Tune in to listen more!

Happy New Year! ANDWHY will mostly be a solo podcast from now on documenting my journey through life. I feel a lot of peace and joy from the decision, and I hope you guys do as well :)
This episode is about something that really helped me in my isolation period during the last two weeks of 2021. I had a lot of time to declutter, and as Marie Kondo would have shared, cut out things that no longer bring you joy. What I learned was that not only was my physical clutter that brought anxiety, it was also the digital and mental clutter. Carving out time to clear things up allowed me to walk into 2022 fresh. Tune in to listen more!

Celebrity stylist and motherhood/fashion/lifestyle expert Ali Levine believe that no matter where you roam, from the laundry room to the red carpet, authenticity is your superpower, and “confidence is your best accessory.” Raised in the high-velocity fashion culture of New York City, a natural gift for style led Levine to opportunities working with international designers like Coach, Talbots, and the opening of New York’s flagship Target location. A transition to television/film took her to Hollywood, where she founded the Ali Levine Design headquarters, quickly establishing herself as LA’s “it” girl of celebrity styling with a star-studded portfolio that includes top names like Jesse McCartney, Arianny Celeste, Holly Robinson Peete, Joey King, Gretchen Rossi, Lisa Vanderpump and more.
After the arrival of her first child, daughter Amelia Rei, Levine wholeheartedly embraced the role of mompreneur/mommy influencer. She is now a mama of two and shares her real raw truth of motherhood. In this episode, she shares a deep dive into how she got there and the tremendous hurdles she had to jump through to fully live in her truth. Tune in to listen!!

Hey everyone!!
It's been a while since I have done a solo episode. This one is a little long and I did ramble a bit, haha but I hope you enjoy it! I shared life after college and how that journey has been for me - from career changes to self-love. Life has been pretty good despite its challenges, especially the recent increase in racist acts towards the AAPI community. I share my thoughts about it but I hope this episode serves as a little getaway while reminding you that love in all its forms can truly weed out hate.

In this episode, I talk about the finality of this year and its continuum in 2021. It's a hopeful yet scary feeling. I share the lessons learned from wicked trials to consecutive injustices overlooked. In an optimistic angle, 2021 is not the end of 2020 but an extension, a good one.
I also want to share with the audience my plans for 2021, and my thoughts on graduating early. I hope my words are able to provide you some solace during this time and give you a hopeful perspective, whichever that may be.
Much love, Annie

Today is a solo podcast by me, your host! Another short episode but this one is about boundaries, especially with the self. We can be our worst critics and often times, we forget to set boundaries with that critic. I share my ever so passionate tangent on this aspect of self-love. I'm not perfect and I'm most definitely still working on it, but acknowledging this is vital for anyone who isn't the most kind towards themselves.

Everyone has a passion and their WHY in life and ANDWHY is here to highlight them, especially those whose voices deserved to be amplified.
Today is a solo podcast by me, your host! It's a short episode but it's my little tangent on mindfulness and patience. I have a hard time learning these two things and I'm starting to understand its importance. The moments after I implemented it into my life, I felt peace. I'm not promising you peace but these two things are crucial to success in life. Being able to master it will give you so much power in our fast-paced society. Listen if this interests you!

Hey everyone!
This podcast episode is for those who are struggling to be true to who they are and we provide insight on why that might be. In this episode, we will touch about cultural, societal, and psychological reasons why people are held back from being unapologetically themselves. One example of that would be the collectivism in Asian culture that may conflict with the individualistic culture of America. Another example would be how social media skewed our perception of being genuine and true. We will talk about all of that. This episode is done with Sharon Kim, one of my closest friends. She is currently a 19 y/o student at Parsons, The New School and she is studying to become a UX designer. She is a successful hard worker and a natural leader of her own life. Follow the links down below for more information on her. If this interests you, just give it a listen! :)

This podcast is for those who seek to be a little more productive during this quarantine season. As we are slowly transitioning back to what was our normal, this is a great time to reevaluate your productivity and how to accustom it to our new normal. I shared some of my experiences with burnout and discussed the recurring effects of burnout I face from time to time. I also touched upon how I manage to stay productive throughout challenges and hardships. On the flip side, however, I also explain the different perspectives on productivity and how those perspectives are helpful in understanding your own. If this interests you, just keep on listening!

This podcast episode is about the Black Lives Matter movement and my way of propelling the movement further as an Asian American. I tried to find the right words to speak my truth the past two weeks but my voice has always ended up trapped by the overwhelming amount of emotions. I'm human and I can only do so much but I want to do everything that I can. I hope these words influence some people to change their perspectives on the movement in a more positive way. We're all in this together. We must live and love like so.
