121: The Principles Still Have Power
I am still reaping the benefits of the Power Principles of Courageous Living, which I shared in my book released in 2018. While the principles helped me to overcome depression, save my marriage and take back my life, they continue to serve me today.
I have relied on and lived by the principles and experienced their power even after publishing my book. They have encouraged, empowered, and equipped me to quit my job, launch an online school, partner with brands and companies I could only dream of as well as make Dose of Courage Community an online church for women....officially!
I thought it would be a good time to share them with you as the DOC tribe continues to grow. Let's make sure to remember the principles that govern how we live our lives! You'll notice they've been revised a bit, but the power remains the same!
Power Principles
1.) Your true identity is found in Christ alone.
2.) Forgiveness is commanded AND it's a process.
3.) Faith puts YOU to work.
4.) Healthy relationships support you on the journey.
5.) Intentional growth and development are essential for your purpose.

120: How to Stay Focused
Listen Here
I feel like every time I think I got it "the vision" I somehow lose focus.
The bible describes a fool like a man who looks at himself in the mirror and when he walks away forgets what he looks like.
I know I am not the only entrepreneur that has these moments where you look up from the work to find that you've lost focus a bit of the big picture.
My big picture vision:
"Women of faith would go to the bible first to find solutions to the problems they face today."
Here are 3 things we need to do if we want to stay focused and avoid distractions.
1.) Write the Vision
-keep it where you see it daily
-use it to plan your tasks
2.) Review your work each day
-consider your vision
-is the work good?? Yes!
3.) Rest
-exhaustion increases when you don't
-lack of focuses increases
-unable to accurately assess your progress
Assignment:
1.)Share your vision in the Dose of Courage Community on Facebook www.facebook.com/groups/doseofcourage
2.)Join us for bible study this week! bit.ly/docbiblestudy
3.) Share this episode on your FB and IG story and be sure to tag me @couragemolina

I have created what I believe is the BEST morning routine for personal growth and development. If you are ready to #CourageouslyLevelUp in your life and business start this routine first thing in the morning! BOLDER Mornings are a gamechanger!
B-Bless the Lord
O-Optimizing your visualization
L-Learn something

E-Exercise
R-Read (your Bible) and write
It's doesn't have to be early in the morning, just first thing in the morning. Do what you have to do to make it work. You can do it in as little as 12 minutes, but I recommend an hour. Isn't your growth worth that? This is an amazing routine to prepare for resistance.
Assignment:
1.) Commit to 30 days
2.) Join the Dose of Courage Community and share your wins and progress www.facebook.com/groups/doseofcourage
3.) Share, share, share...help me to reach 20k women this your through the podcast.

118: Toss Out SMART Goals For Your Best Year Ever!
Listen HERE!
I can't believe this episode is getting to you on Friday night. #SMH In all fairness, my faithful Youtube peeps got it a few days ago. Be sure to subscribe to the channel if you haven't yet.
Despite the fact that I have failed at getting this podcast out on time...I am confident this will be my best year ever and I can tell you why. I know how to set goals so that I actually achieve them and get closer to living the life of my dreams.
If you want to do the same you have got to toss out the SMART goals. I know this is what you've been told, you might have even been told about SMART goals by me....But when you know better you do better.
Here are a few things you need to understand about SMART goals.
I am not saying NOT to set goals, but you have to do it differently.
1.) Review the Vision
2.) Consider: Who do you need to become?
3.) Consider: What habits are necessary to become THAT person
4.) Plan: How can you develop those habits?
Assignment:
1.)Develop routines to establish habits necessary to become!
2.) Continue the conversation in the community (get an accountability partner)
3.) Share, Share, Share....help me encourage 20K women through the podcast by sharing it with at least 5 friends.
Follow me on CH if you're there...@CourageMolina
117: How to Overcome Doubt About the Vision
Listen Here!
Are you struggling to believe the vision God gave you will actually come to pass?
Do you doubt the vision?
You are NOT alone!
There have been several times on my own journey that I have wrestled with some doubts about the vision I have and where I believe God is taking me. In this session, I share with you how to overcome doubt especially as it relates to the vision.
Assignment:
1.) Write the vision as GOD reveals it to you, not just what you feel comfortable with.
2.) Using the SOAP Method study Habakkuk 2:2-3
3.) Continue the conversation with me in the Dose of Courage Community bit.ly/doseofcouragecommunity
4.) Share, Share, Share...help me encourage 20k women this year through the podcast!
116: Reflect, Release & Renew in 2021
Listen HERE!
I feel behind and it's only Jan. 5th. Today is Tuesday, which means the 1st episode of the year is late. That is not a great start now is it?
It doesn't help that as a coach I offer 1:1 Sessions to help you get things done on time and for some reason I have not been able to get it done for the last month. I have felt overwhelmed and unsettled in my spirit.....unable to make decisions or set my intentions.
I want to share with you today, what I'll be doing this week to set me up for the best year yet! Every year for the past few years I've been taking the time to reflect, release and renew.
I reflect on the good, the bad and the ugly. No matter what happens during the year there are lessons, blessings and pain. It's the pain that can stay with you.
That's why you need the release. You have to let go of anything that doesn't add value. You cannot hold on to the pain if you want to take hold of God's promises for your life. Once you have released you have to decide what to move forward with.
Not everything that was good in one season is appropriate for the next. Decide which commitments in your relationships, business and life you'll keep and renew your commitment to them. Sometimes we get distracted, we lose our way or forgot a commitment we made to ourselves.
Your weekly assignment: Journal the following and join the discussion in the Dose of Courage Community on FB.
1.)What have you learned this year?
2.) What are you releasing?
3.) What commitments are you renewing?
I also need your help to reach 20K women through the podcast. If this resonated with you share it with 5 of your friends. I can't get this message out without you. We ALL need to be reminded that we are made for greatness and could use a dose of courage as we go out in the world to SERVE!
115: Habit #7 Learning & Applying New Knowledge to Your Faith, Business and Life
You may not like to hear this, but anything you listen to, read or watch, but don't use is basically just entertainment. It's the application that leads to transformation.
Let's talk about how you can develop a habit of learning and applying.
The assignment this week:
1.) BOLDER Morning Routine

113: Habit #5 Practicing Self-Care Religiously
Listen Here!
A few years ago, I drove myself to urgent care for chest pain just a few days before my 36th birthday. It was stress-induced and unfortunately not the first time I experienced physical symptoms as a result of stress.
As a full-time entrepreneur with financial and family obligations my focus, like most, were on work and taking care of my family. It's like we take pride in putting ourselves last as parents and wives. It's a badge of honor to allow our bodies to get so overwhelmed and overworked they begin to break down on us. It's only when we are knocked on our behinds do we finally decide to give our bodies (and minds) the rest they need.
In this session, we'll discuss self-care and why it really is the 1st step in taking care of others.
I define self-care as taking care of your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. It's making sure you get what you need (including FUN) and it often requires boundaries, protecting those boundaries, remove toxic people and messages from your inner circle, and getting the support you need!
Why is this so important? Many behave as if "self-care" is only a luxury for the well off or for rich and "selfish" houswives. Here's the truth:
1.) You matter to God. You are a priority to Him.
2.) You have a calling and a purpose with people to serve.
3.) You can't do anything well when you aren't well yourself.
At the end of the day no one benefits from you not taking care of yourself, not even your family.
Here is this week's assignment. You've seen it before, but BOLDER Mornings not only make for bolder days, they are a great way to start your day off with "me time".
1.) COMMIT to BOLDER Mornings
2.) Join Dose of Courage Community (so you can get support on this journey!)
3.) Share this podcast (the women in your life need to be reminded of how important they are, too!)
As always, I pray that each time you listen to the podcast it encourages your to show up as your most BOLD self and take courageous action consistently...sometimes it's as simple as taking a nap.
112: Habit #4 Boosting Your Confidence Daily
Listen HERE!
According to a study by the National Science Center, the average person has 12K-60k thoughts per day and of those 80% are negative and 95% are repetitive.
As a Courage Coach, I understand the impact thoughts have on confidence. Confidence can be very powerful in helping you to step out, BUT I also know it's a hungry beast that must be fed regularly...daily in this lane of entrepreneurship. In this session, we will cover the importance of confidence and why boosting it saily is an essential habit to #CourageouslyLevelUp.
Let's define confidence...I see it as faith in yourself, your ability, gifts, calling, talents, and the possibility of success.
Why it's important:
1.) You need it for the new rooms, bigger platforms and when your territory is increased
2.)It ain't all good and some of the negativity gets through. You will have moments of doubts and you will second guess yourself.
3.) It will help you manage Imposter Syndrome
4.) Helps you to "reset" your mindset
Here's what you can do to develop a habit of boosting your confidence daily
1.)Download "20 Ways to Boost Your Confidence" from the FREE Resource Library (www.couragemolina.org to get access)
2.) Start BOLDER Mornings Routine. Get the FREE training and workbook from the FREE Resource Library
3.) Share in the community what you will do to build your confidence.
4.) Show how much this episode spoke to you...share it on Social media and @couragemolina or #doseofcourage
111: Habit #3 Developing a Positive & Powerful Vocabulary
Listen HERE!
Keeping it real, just being honest, I need to vent, and complaining feels good in the moment. We all do it, moms, wives, bosses, entrepreneurs....no one is immune. While we can't choose what happens, we can choose what we say about it.
In this session, we'll talk about what it means to have a positive and powerful vocabulary, and why it's such an essential habit to have on your journey to the next level.
Positive & powerful vocabulary are words that encourage, uplift, demonstrate optimistic beliefs, reflect faith, positive outcome, communicates possibilities and commitment.
1.)We are co-creators-What we say creates our environment.
2.) It boosts your mood, improves your confidence, energizes you
3.) Reduces pain, discomfort, stress
4.) Increase your resilience
Assignment
1.) Take the pledge
2.) Share your ah-has in the community
3.)Share the podcast with a friend
110: Habit #2 Strategically Studying the Bible
Listen HERE!
"All scripture is God-breathed, and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17
I am who I am today because of my time in the Word. In this session, I unpack what strategic study is and why it's important.
Strategic bible study is a bible study designed to achieve something specific or with a specific need in mind. There are several benefits of strategic bible study over the haphazard bible study we typically participate in.
1.) Gives you a starting point
2.) Encourages you
3.) Trains and equips you
4.) It will change you
5.) Closer relationship with God
6.) Prepares you for battles ahead
You know that you were created with a purpose. How can you begin to pursue that purpose and NOT a relationship with the ONE who gave it to you? We will never be fully equipped without study of God's word.

In this session, I want to help give you a better understanding of what time-management really is and how it dictates the success or failur of everything in your life. No one is immune. Time is the great equalizer.
Here's what you need to keep in mind:
1.) You cannot accomplish anything without time no matter how important it is.
2.) Your intentions, skills, calling are no match for misplaced or wasted time.
3.) You can choose, strategize to make the most of it the moment you decide to.

107: #1 Reason Most People Don't Grow [Click Here to Listen]
Confession time: I used to plan, strategize, create, research, learn, think and then start all over again. You know what's missing in this cycle of busyness? E-X-E-C-U-T-I-O-N! Yep EXECUTION! I stayed on that merry-go-round of busyness and it kept me from growing in business and honestly in life too. In 2018, I decided that my word for the year would be EXECUTION, motto: "Execution is Queen in 2018!" Maybe it was a bit cheesy, but I had great results. I saw an increase in my impact and my income, secured a partnership with Patrice Washington of Redefining Wealth, started a collaboration with Amber Michelle Lykins, MaryKay Sales Director and I launched my mastermind!
As a courage coach I always incorporate accountability calls in every program. I help my clients focus on taking action, implementing and staying consistent.
In this session, I discuss the #1 reason you aren't growing and give you a few tips to help you overcome it and get back to growing.

“Income seldom exceeds personal development.” -Jim Rohn
I find this statement to be true, but one people find it hard to believe. They believe if they can get the marketing just right, the website perfect, write copy that converts and find their ideal audience, then the big bucks will just come rolling in….very rarely is that the case.
As a courage coach I myself can sometimes get distracted by the coaches teaching biz strategies. It seems like people are more attracted to those programs and more willing to admit they need that type of help and more willing to invest in those types of programs.
In this session, I shine a bit of light on the often ignored truth that the business strategies will not outperform your doubts, fears, inconsistencies or character flaws and therefore your personal development is an essential part of your business growth and development.
3 things you need to understand, 3 things you cannot ignore!
Here is your weekly assignment:
105: How To Speak Words of Commitment
"Do or do not. There is no try."-Yoda
I actually hate when adults tell me they'll "try" to do something. I feel like we "try" food and "try" fashion.
I'm a courage coach, which means I specialize in helping my clients take action, courageous & consistent action. I used to be all about confidence, but that's really about your feelings and your thoughts about yourself. ACTION, however, is what leads to transformation and increase.
In this session, you'll learn how to swap out weak phrases that lack power and conviction for powerful words of commitment.
How to Speak Words of Commitment
1.) Recognize the phrases and words that you say which give you an "out". Words like "try", "should", "might". The minute you use them you are prepping yourself and others for your excuses later.
2.) Use words like: "I will", "I intend to", "I must", "I have to", "I'll figure it out", "I'll get support". Start speaking your intentions, not your worries! Words of commitment require confidence, discipline, and follow-through.
3.) Set boundaries, say "no", be honest with yourself 1st, and get your time management together. This supports the language of commitment.

Have you ever saw someone so good at something you thought..."Dang, I wanna know how they do that?"
That was me in 2013 at Elevation Church listening to Pastor Steven Furtick preach a sermon called Expectation Gap: When God Doesn't Met Your Expectations, and for every sermon since then. As I listened I thought to myself "I bet he is so good at making decisions. He seems like he really KNOWS the bible. I bet that's why he's so confident...I mean who starts a church at age 26??"
I was more than intrigued though. I was desperate for change. I was depressed, in a horrible season, and thought I probably could have avoided some of the pain I was experiencing if I had made better choices in life.
I thought about it often. Then one Sunday, he talked about tithing not just your money, but your time and talents. I decided to give it a try. I would devote 10% of my day to reading and studying God's word.
I started at the beginning, I wasn't sure where else to start. I read all the notes from my study bible for any section I read and any scriptures referenced in the margin I read as well. I would meditate on what I read all day long while at work. I considered the following:
I graduated from just reading to actually writing my notes and thoughts down in a journal. I even kept track of any questions I had even though I didn't have anyone to answer them. I started sharing my ah-has and revelations with anyone that would listen.
Do you know what I realized during my time in the word?
EVERYTHING changed for me...I became bolder, happier in my marriage, and I started living my life's purpose and pursuing the life I really wanted to live.
Bible study is the foundation of this life of impact and income. I invite you to join the Courage Circle. It's a 20-week biblical studies program for women who want to build a closer relationship with God through the study and application of his word.
You will have all that you need, guidance, structure, direction, and community. CLICK HERE to enroll or you can get on a call with me to determine if this is a good fit for you. CLICK HERE to schedule a call.
As I mentioned in the podcast, I felt led to open up enrollment a lot earlier than I normally would, BUT the program will not begin until Jan 4th, 2021. There are only 50 spots available so keep that in mind.

1.) Decide what you will study this month
2.) Share what you'll study in the Dose of Courage Community on FB.

102: How Forgiving Yourself Could Be Holding You Back
Click here to listen to the full episode!
I don’t like messing up or making the wrong decision. I can sometimes be hard on myself. I’ve learned to forgive myself and show myself grace. That sounds good, sounds like growth, but it’s really quite problematic.
All that forgiveness and grace was holding me back and keeping me from growing my business and I’ll tell you why.
In her book “Think Great, Be Great” Lailah Gifty Akita says “ Mistakes are experiences. Without these experiences, there is no learning.”
I couldn’t agree with her more!
Avoiding mistakes does not make you more successful. It actually ensures the opposite. When you avoid mistakes you do less and therefore learn nothing. I’m not suggesting reckless behavior, just doing the best with what you have and learning from anything that falls short of what you expected.
What can you do to get out of this way of thinking?

101: 5 Ways You Can Support Your Self-Confidence
Listen to the full episode here! [Watch it LIVE with me at 11am EST TODAY!]
There is no question that when we feel most confident we take action on things we want to do, but might not be sure of what the outcome will be.
Whatever your vision is for your impact and income it will require CONSISTENT courageous action.
The problem that we face, whether we are ready to admit or not, our confidence fluctuates from day-to-day (sometimes, hour-to-hour). It's highest in areas where we've had previous success or when we are with our fans (friends/family, previous clients that already LOVE us!).
In order to get to the next level, however, it often requires we step into unfamiliar territory with unfamiliar people. So unless you want your progress, growth, and increase to be tied to ever-fluctuating, unreliable waves of confidence then you are going to have to SUPPORT your confidence so you can TAKE COURAGEOUS ACTION on the daily.
Get prepared to take notes as you listen to this episode because you know I always want to add value so get ready for it!
Here are 5 ways you can support your self-confidence. In other words, boost your confidence on a daily basis!
1.) Implement a morning routine that focuses on self-care and self-development like my B.O.L.D.E.R Mornings Routine (bit.ly/boldermornings to get the FREE training and workbook).
2.) Write and Say affirmations, specifically about your awesomeness that you haven't done yet but will. ( "I am one of the most effective and engaging bible teachers this world has ever seen.)
3.) Do EVERYTHING full-out and ditch the practice-run mentality. "Wow" the people right where you are right now!
4.) Get your style in alignment with what makes you feel most capable and confident in what you do. (For make-up tutorials subscribe to Olivia Heyward and Amber Michelle Lykins on Youtube)
5.) Identify and spend more time with people who can see your greatness.
As a Courage Coach (and former HS teacher), I LOVE to give assignments to my clients because it's all about ACTION. Your assignment for the week: Please complete ALL of the following before next week! (do it today ;-) )

Productivity Strategy Session: https://CoachCourageSession.as.me/
"How do you get it all done?"
I used to get asked that all the time as a teacher, wife and mother of 3 school-age children. I made homecooked meals, I baked desserts from scratch (during the week), volunteered at church, lead bible study, and tutored on the side. I was busy and I got a lot done. The problem was that I still felt like I got nothing done. I still wasn't doing what mattered most to me.
How could I be busy, get stuff done and still NOT get stuff done???
Can you relate? You are busy all the time, but you always have a lot to do??? AND to top it all off you can't remember the last time you accomplished something.
In 2014 I realized I was always busy, but I hadn't accomplished anything since my college graduation in 2005. #SMH Truth is though, I hadn't set any goals so none got accomplished. I did whatever the DAY told me to do. My time went to immediate needs, short-term, not necessarily wasted, but definitely NOT invested.
If you are like I was and you want to get WHAT MATTERS most to you done and you want to accomplish your life goals then listen up! I'm going to give you the first step (secret sauce) in time management and productivity so you can what matters done!
1.) SET A VISION FOR YOUR LIFE
This is more than goal-setting, although it does have its role.
What vision do you have for your life? What type of life do you want to live?
When you think of a vision for your life I want you to make sure you consider all the areas of your life.
Patrice Washington teaches on these 6 Pillars of Wealth and I think they are a GREAT guide to help cast a vision.
-FIT
-FAITH
-PEOPLE
-SPACE
-MONEY
-WORK
Once you have a vision then you can get your days in order
1.) Cross off any and everything on your to-do list that ain't a part of your vision
2.) Circle obligations you realize are distractions, but maybe you need to give notice that you'll be quitting.....give the notice
3.) Create a list--> Basically a braindump of all the things you need to accomplish your life vision
4.) Put those tasks or the steps to those tasks on your list and say "no" to everything else.
Trust me if you apply this strategy to your life you will see a difference. I am not as busy as I used to be, but I am much more productive. I have time for slow-mornings with my hubby and late night movies with the kids. I own my weekends but not just that. I am seeing more of what I want for my life.
-stronger relationships
-self-care routine (daily)
-clean house/laundry stay done
-building a 6-figure business
-faith strong
-running a women's ministry
I want to help you too! Here are my two offers that will help you get more of what matters done.
1.)B.O.L.D.E.R Mornings routine is self-care and self-development all in one. Get the free training and workbook today and start your BOLDER Morning tomorrow! bit.ly/boldermornings

"Some storms are unavoidable." -Steven Furtick
I don't know about you, but I want to avoid pain, heartache, and discomfort of any kind. I don't want to be sick or scared or struggling. I like most people, would choose an easy life if it were an option.
It's not an option.
When it became clear that we were in a global pandemic there was nothing any of us wanted more than for things to "go back to normal". None of us want to "go through" this, we just want it to be gone as quickly as it sprang up.
No matter who we are, or who we were prior to the start of it all none of us will be the same. We will be changed by it. In this episode, I share how it has changed me. It's changed me in ways I wouldn't have anticipated, but I am better for it. I pray you allow it to change you for the better as well.
I'll share in detail how it:
I would LOVE to connect with you and hear your thoughts and experience during this season. How has the pandemic changed you? Subscribe to my YouTube channel and share it in the comments. 95: Building A Faith That Won't Fold
I read this article years ago that talked about the power of quitting. I think it was in Oprah's magazine, but I'm not sure.
It was a tremendous help at the time because it helped me to quit doing things that weren't working. I kept that same energy though and what once helped me had become a hindrance to my greatness.
When my marriage was troubled I wanted to quit and threatened to do so several times. When my life became too difficult to bear and full of darkness, depression, and grief I wanted to quit living too.
Clearly I took it too far.
Since I have come to know Christ personally things have changed. Through intense study in His word I have built and continue to build a faith that doesn't fold under the pressure of life.
Hebrews 10:35-36
"So do not throw away your confidence, it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised."
When God delivered me from depression I started to think about why I had been so willing to throw away my confidence in my marriage and my own future.
1.)Misplace Confidence...humans are imperfect and marriages fail every day
2.) Microwave Mindset...wanting the storm to end immediately, impatient
If you've read my book "Power Principles Courageous Living: How I Overcame Depression & Took Back My Life", then you know my marriage improved, so did my life and my outlook.
Guess what though?? There have been more storms, more trouble in paradise, difficult situations, and tighter finances.
This time I held on to my faith though. I bent, I was knocked down, but my bounce back is on 100. I didn't stay down and I didn't fold.
How Sway?..lol
1.) Foundation in Bible study
2.) Confidence in God
3.) Put my faith to work- small changes in mindset challenged what I believed, changed my behavior.
As a result, I am enjoying my life, it's not perfect, but when I feel the pressure I press on with my faith in God. His Spirit sustains me, it keeps me, it doesn't fold.

94: Behave Like The Forgiven
You've confessed and the Lord has forgiven you, BUT you still feel bad. you don't want people to find about the lie, gossip, theft, affair, abortion......you even say it's "nobody's business".
The truth is we often are forgiven but don't behave like it. We act like we have to earn it. Like we've never done anything wrong...or like we've never done anything right.
Question: How do the forgiven behave?
Consider David with Bathsheba and Paul persecuting the church. Look at their lives after they were forgiven.

This is more of a confessional than a standard podcast, but you may be able to relate.
For awhile I've been in denial, or avoidance, or ignorance about my anxiety and pretending like it's not an issue. Over the past few months I've had several breaks, but no breakdowns and definitely no breakthroughs.
What I experienced a few weeks ago, however, was a complete breaking....basically an emotional and mental meltdown.
If I had stayed there I never would have experienced my breakthrough. I am so grateful that God led me to a realization...and gave me the courage to acknowledge the struggle. But what next?
What do you do after you identify an issue that was buried or you that you simply ignored?
In this episode, I share the strategies that will turn your breakdown or meltdown into a breakthrough.

I have been in a romantic relationship for 24 years. Y’all I’m 39. That means I’ve had a bae since before I even knew what it meant to be in a “romantic” relationship!
Honestly, having a serious relationship so young, combined with the fact that I was a teen parent left me in a place where I was always putting someone else’s needs before my own.
It resulted in low self-esteem, a strain on my marriage, and poor health. In 2018 I had an epiphany. I realized I needed to treat myself the way I treated my husband.
I gave him the best of me to support him mentally, emotionally, spiritually, sexually and physically.
I want to encourage you to be your own bae. What does that look like?

91: It’s Time To Expand Your Vocabulary
I taught HS Spanish for several years and I was very successful. Whenever we had a new unit I would introduce it with the topics they could expect to see during the unit. If you wanted to talk about household chores, for instance, then you could expect to talk about rooms, furniture, and actual chores. They couldn’t talk about chores without first acquiring the new vocabulary.
The same can be said about speaking life. When you think about a certain area of your life you need to acquire new vocabulary to change the way you speak.
Your words have power.
“The tongue has the power of life and earth, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21
There is power in your words. Whatever you speak will bear fruit. You will eat that fruit.
Basically you create the life you will have to live with the words you say. Ask yourself what type of life do you want to live?
Think about the last 30 days and any situations you were unhappy with. Did your words about that situation reflect the way you want things to be?
Here is a list of resources that have helped me to acquire new vocabulary over the years in different areas of my life.
I’d love to hear from you! What resources have been helpful in helping you to expand your vocabulary?
I recommend The Courage Circle. I believe the word of God is the best source of new, life-giving, fruit-bearing vocabulary! 90: You Got A Friend In Me
Many relationships can be complicated. I think friendships are an exception to that rule...at least they should be. My friendships are not complicated at all and when they become complicated it might mean it’s time to make a shift.
I used to give “pink slips” but I'd like to think I’ve matured in not only resolving conflict, but in the selection process as well.
I meet women, many of them my clients, who want more meaningful friendships, closer bonds, women they enjoy hanging out with and women who they can be supported by in life.
Now listen, I’m no expert in friendships, but I have some of the most amazing women in my life that I call friends. When Beyonce sang “my friends are #Goals” I thought “Oh Yeah!”
How did I do it though? How did I build these amazing friendships?
I think it should be in that order too. That’s why your identity is so important. It’s the basis for the 1st Power Principle. I believe the start of a solid identity starts where?? You guessed it...the Word of God.
I hope this episode has helped to bring clarity and give you direction around building friendships they write songs about.

89: Make God Your GPS
I have a confession: I have no sense of direction. I mean none. I can’t read a map either. When I first moved to Charlotte it was a real struggle, I got lost all the time. It was 2007 and there weren’t any directional apps on my phone. I’m pretty sure I had a Blackberry. Anyway, my momma bought me a Garmin that year for Christmas. Best Gift Ever! I could explore and I wouldn’t get lost. If there was construction or an accident it would reroute me. I didn’t always trust it though, but I eventually learned to rely on it.
I realize now that we often lose our way in life because we are trying to do it on our own.
I don’t know where you are on this journey or where you are headed, BUT I know you need God to get you there. In Deuteronomy 5:33 NIV it says “Walk in obedience to all that hte Lord your God has commanded you so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.
As for courage crusaders, we want to do more than just live. No, we want to thrive, we want to prosper in every area of our life. We want to live long lives in the land God has promised us. We sometimes lose our way though…..
Here are 3 things you can do to make God your GPS

88: Let Forgiveness Be Your Default
I didn’t want to share this message. The Lord wouldn’t let me change it though. It’s a soft message on the surface, but it’s a hard pill to swallow.
“Let forgiveness be your default.”
Forgiveness is not healing, a free pass, or condoning bad behavior. It also doesn’t negate consequences. Forgiveness is step 1 of healing, a decision to let go of negative thoughts towards another, required by God.
Mark 11:25 NIV
“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father is heaven may forgive you your sins.”
In addition to that, I want you to set forgiveness as your default for the sake of your purpose.
I didn’t want to share this message, but it’s impossible to have the mind of Christ, word of wisdom and still operate like the world and have the same standards. It’s not easy.
I want to invite you to join The Courage Circle so that as a woman of faith you can grow closer to God through the study of his word, so you can learn how to apply biblical wisdom to your day-to-day life. When your steps and words are ordered in the word of God you’ll have a boldness, confidence and courage to be who God has called you to be, do what God has called you to do and take possession of everything God said you could have. 87: God is a Big Deal
I think sometimes I play myself because I forget who God is. Think about it. You ever wanted to do something had a dream and thought but I could never do that?
You think to yourself "If only I knew the right people". Well you know God don't you? God is a big deal.
To top it all of he has a thing for you. He wants to see you win and will use all his resources to make it happen and his sources are unlimited.
Stop playing God to the left by playing small or acting like you aren't well connected. If you aren't well connected then you need to do something about that.

86: What to Expect When You Say "Yes" to Purpose
God called me into bible ministry and I said "no, thanks". My plan was to start my journey as an entrepreneur helping businesswomen to create content and curriculum. I thought I would stay on my job for as long as I needed to and then I would make the transition.
The job I enjoyed turned into one I found unbearable, but I was the problem. Finally, I quit, with a plan B, no savings, and God flipped the switched and reminded me about my calling into bible ministry. This time I said "okay".
I didn't know what I expected, but it's not what I would experience. In this episode, I am sharing with you a few things I learned along the way. You can download the remaining 7, but I want to talk to you about three.
1.) You will have to leave comfort and things that are familiar.
2.) You often see the vision, but not always the path, but just keep following.
3.) Those with you will have to sacrifice also, they have "skin in the game" show them grace.
Are you ready to say "yes" and want to know what else to expect? Download 10 things you need to know before you say "yes" to chasing your purpose.
Not quite ready? Enroll in the Courage Mastermind 12-week program and it will change your life. 85: Get a “Self-First” Mindset with Roz Paul
Click here to listen to the full episode!
I am on a quest to become more self-aware. It started a few years ago. I really wanted to understand how I operate, how I respond, and why I respond the way I do. I honestly believe the more self-aware I become the better I will be in all my relationships. One of the things I’ve realized on this journey is that I am often misunderstood because I can’t effectively communicate my boundaries or my way of thinking. This is definitely true when it comes to how I make decisions. I often put myself first and have been accused of being selfish. I’ve accepted it, but I didn’t feel good about it. Then I recently heard someone say “I’m a self-first person not selfish.” As you can imagine it blew my mind and I knew I needed to explore this concept further.
In this episode Freedom Coach Roz Paul helps us to better understand what it means to have a self-first mindset, the benefits and what we can do today to start that shift.
More about Roz:

84: Tell the Truth (Stop Lying!)
Kids will tell you their true opinion. Unsolicited and all. My best friend's son drew a picture of her when he was younger and he drew it with a mustache. LOL! She told him she didn't have a mustache, then he used his little finger to point it out! LOL!
They just have no filter! WE teach them what's okay to say and what they should keep to themselves. Sometimes we even teach them to lie by insisting they give a compliment to an adult or to another child. "Tell her she looks nice."
It's the filter WE install for them. The same one that our parents installed for us!
What type of filter do you have now?
What about when you talk about yourself though?
You have to recognize that what you think to be true about yourself is based on the filter you have. Think about this....do you struggle to accept a compliment? Are you uncomfortable sharing your wins or accomplishments? Do you downplay your talents, skills or gifts?
I want to challenge you to change your filter. Reset it from what the world says to what the WORD says about you!
Start speaking the truth about who you are and who God has called you to be.
Are you struggling? I encourage you to enroll in the Courage Mastermind to learn wh you are, let go of past mistakes, use your faith to move mountains, and improve your relationships with other people, with yourself and with the words you speak.

81: Forgiveness: Healing Starts Here
While physical healing can happen without any work for you depending on the wound, the same is NOT true for emotional wounds.
We have all experienced pain at the hand of someone we love, but how can we begin the healing process? We want to let go of the negative thoughts, the hurt, and bitterness that can so easily grow in our hearts. Many experts say to start with considering what happened, what was done, but I don’t agree.
I strongly believe healing starts with forgiveness. Power Principle #3 tells us that Forgiveness is freedom and it is, it’s also the first step in healing.

Somethings we learn by experience, others by acquiring knowledge. Both have the potential to change us.
There are three things I've learned that has changed my life, they've changed everything really and I will never be the same.
1.) Who God is
2.) Who I am
3.) Who my enemy is
I'm talking true identity here. God is: The Creator, A Way Maker, Love, King of the Fight, Light, Undefeated, For Me
I am: A child of God, loved, chose, protected, whole, powerful
The enemy: a liar, LIKE a lion (NOT a lion)
I know it doesn't always feel this way, but it's true. The truth is we struggle to know who we really are because we spend too much time listening to the enemy.
The solution is bible study. I know you are thinking I always say that, and I do, but it's true. We need a reminder of who we are and whose we are.
You can't get to know YOU outside of God. You can't get to know GOD without the word of God. If you dedicate your time to getting these truths down in your soul, it will change everything and you will never be the same!

I don't know about you, but I want to avoid griefing at all cost. There was even a time I thought about being a hermit crab, then I wouldn't have to grieve the loss of anyone else. Crazy, I know. But in my defense, I was never taught how to grieve or the strength that would be found in and through the grieving process. I also didn't know that there was more to grieve than the loss of life.
In this episode, I interview Herdyne Mercier, Chief Grief Crusader. She is one a mission to redefine what it means to grieve, teach us how to grieve and empower us to feel the feelings we often avoid all in the hopes of helping us to heal. She is a Grief Recovery Specialist and in my opinion, a thought leader in the area of healing from losses of various kinds.
If you have ever experienced the pain of the loss of a loved one, relationship, job (yes, it's okay to grieve the loss of a job) or any transition that caused you conflicting feelings this episode is going to help you immensely.

74: You Have The Right To Remain Silent
Listen, friend, I don’t know about you, but this growth game is hard work. This month’s bible study opened my eyes to an area of my life I didn’t even think was an issue. When culture normalizes complaining, and trash-talking and even praises you for “keeping it real” it can make being quiet or kind in our speech not only impossible but silly.
I mean, if I was there if it happened if I witnessed it, experienced it and I am talking to my closest friend and telling her the TRUTH about what happened with me, what’s wrong with that??? Nothing, if your standard is the world’s standard. But for CCs, we have set our standard on the word of God and in this case, our negative speech is under arrest. In other words, we have the right to remain silent.
You can often feel like you have the RIGHT to say that thing about that person because it’s true, but Titus 3:2-3 “to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. For we ourselves were also once foolish disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating on one another.” shows us otherwise.
It won’t always be easy to stay positive, but in those moments we can definitely exercise our right to remain silent.
In this episode, I unpack the biblical principle of “If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” and how to actually do that in your real life...even at work...or with the in-laws...or in the most trying situations.
You’ll need to take notes, trust me on this one! Here’s to growing together!

73: You Decide
LISTEN HERE!
It doesn't really matter what other people are saying or doing. At the end of the day, you decide how you will respond. Recently everyone has been weighing in on the Gayle King interview with Lisa Leslie about Kobe Bryant and the video response by Snoop Dogg.
I was honestly surprised by some of what I read and heard from other believers. It's like we base how we will respond on how we feel or how wrong the other person was in what they did. That can't be our standard if our goal is to further the kingdom of God. Christ is the standard...periodt. The key is in making the decision on how you will respond and what your standard is BEFORE someone upsets you, BEFORE someone claps, BEFORE someone is rude, or manipulative or whatever.
Make a decision. Ask yourself, will I represent Christ or my own interests and feelings?
In this episode, I unpack the dangers of responding based on a situation or societal standards. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Share them in the comments or on social be sure to @CourageMolina or #DOCpodcast.

69: I'd Rather Give Up
Listen HERE!
Happy New Year!! I hope you enjoyed the holidays, I know I did. Each year, as we prepare to go into the new year, my church encourages each of us to choose a word that will guide us through the coming year. We are encouraged to pray about it and really give God an opportunity to speak to us.
As usual, I prayed about my word, but this year the word I felt settle in my spirit was "SURRENDER" and my immediate response was "I'd rather give up." Take a listen to this episode as I unpack the difference between giving up and surrendering.
If you have any situation or circumstance in your life you have hopes and dreams for, but you feel like you have ZERO control to make anything happen you want to listen to this episode.
If you have tried everything you know to do and you have nothing left to lose you want to listen to this episode.

68: Building Your Courage To Fail with Maya Elious
If we get honest with ourselves, the biggest obstacle we face is fear. One of the greatest foes on this journey to success is the fear of failing. Listen I want to avoid failing at all cost if I can. I know we hear all these super cute sayings in the empowerment world like "fail forward" and "there's no failure only feedback". While those may hold some truth, honestly most of us are still trying to avoid it like the plague.
My guest, Maya Elious, posted something on her IG a few months ago and it really struck a chord with me. I reached out to her for clarification around the post and what she said to me just blew me away. I KNEW I needed her to share her insight on failure and her experience with overcoming it and changing her perspective around it.
Go ahead and get ready to take notes, listen to it twice and share it with at least 5 people you want to encourage as we close out this year!

I am not a very adventurous person. Prior to my trip to Paris, France I think my adventure level was a 1 on scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest. While there, however, I decided to try a few things I had never tried before. It got me to thinking about all of the amazing experiences, both big and small that are out there.
There was a time I never would have agreed to be on a plane for more than 5 hours. If I had stuck to that attituded I NEVER would have taken photos at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. I still don't consider myself very adventurous maybe I'm a 5 now on the adventure scale, but what I know is that my life is better because I decided to do something different.
Life is short and it is for experiencing amazing things. Maybe you will try something and absolutely hate it, or perhaps you will find something new to add to a list of the things you love.
For a dose of courage to try something new, check out this episode!

64: You Have More To Offer
CLICK HERE TO LISTEN AND SUBSCRIBE
Most of my 1:1 coaching clients come to see me for clarity. They are business owners, entrepreneurs or women trying to escape from their 9-5 and make their side-hustle their main squeeze. They are usually frustrated because they can't get clear on what their next move should be. They feel stuck and want to take a step back and get a clearer vision of where they really want to go.
Can you relate?
Have you come to the conclusion you only have one thing to offer? Do you see yourself and your business as products and services to sell and nothing more? Have you, out of desperation and a scarcity mindset, pushed your products aggressively with little to show for your efforts?
The thing is though, you have so much more to offer. You are more than just your business and your business is more than just your products and services. It's how YOU bring what you love to the marketplace, it's how you guide someone to a solution you have found that has made your life better, or maybe it's how you prevent someone from the same mistakes that robbed you of your joy at some point in life.
Let this episode be a reminder that you have more to offer. You will definitely need a pen and paper for this one. Jot down the experiences and thoughts that run through your mind as you listen. Pause it if you have to!

Y'all....I went to Paris, France and it was an ah-mazing experience. I went with 9 other women and we spent 6 days sightseeing, eating, shopping and taking photos. CLICK HERE TO LISTEN and SUBSCRIBE!
There’s no free lunch. You are not owed your dream. God doesn’t owe you. The dream you have in your heart is for you, but it is going to cost you. You are going to have to devote time to your dream. However long you think it’s going to take, it’ll probably take longer. You will have to pay for something, give up something and work more diligently than you’ve ever had to before to get this dream off the ground, but it will be worth it!
I strongly believe many of us stop short because we underestimate what it’s going to cost us. We think we are close to the finish line and then realize we aren’t even half-way there yet and we get discouraged. Your dream and who you will impact are too important for me to let you play yourself like that! I want you to be prepared for this road ahead!

61: The Problem With Confidence
Confidence is key to your future success in pretty much every area of your life. Whether you are looking to improve your marriage, launch a business or start a ministry, confidence is essential. What areas of your life are you most confident in your ability to succeed? If you consider that confidence is the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something, then you can begin to see the problem with confidence.
It requires prior experience and relies on past performance. Think about it. The areas you feel confident in are probably ones where you've been successful, have a lot of practice time in or have experience in that area. It's all from your past.
How can you have confidence in something you've never done before? You are embarking on a new experience, or new season, new stage of life with no prior experience to give you confidence.
I suggest you build your confidence on God instead. He has a great track record and you probably have some great experiences with him. Spending time in his word is a great way to get to know him.

60: Why You Aren't Doing ALL Things Through Christ
LISTEN HERE!
I hear all the time "I can do ALL things through Christ", but when I look around I don't always see lives that reflect. Heck, when I looked at my own life I couldn't find that truth being lived out. I definitely wasn't do ALL things...certainly there were some, but most of the things I wanted to do and wanted for my life remained as dreams or desires of my heart without more than a "that would be nice" attitude most days. I know I am not alone in having felt that way.
I'm WOKE now y'all so I am doing ALL things through Christ in real life!! Aye! But I know that God wants me to help more of his children LIVE out the truths we find in his Word. It got me to think about WHY we are doing more or anything really as bold and powerful as the Lord we serve is...
On this episode I share with you 5 Reasons you might not be doing ALL things through Christ and I throw in a BONUS too!
1.) Lack of knowledge
2.) Lack of faith
3.) Presence of fear
4.) Lack of self-control
5.) Identity crisis
It's time we start living out our faith and impacting the world!!

59: Maybe You Don't Know
Do you ever go looking for things you don't expect or you don't even know might exist? I certainly do not. I never go to the mailbox looking for checks I don't know are coming. I have a friend who ALWAYS does though, and you know what? She gets to the mailbox and sometimes there is a check there she didn't know was coming!! She is unique though. Most of us don't pursue things we don't know exist.
In this episode, my goal is to set the record straight and shed some light on a few things you may not know about. I often wonder why people aren't going after their best life and realized it's possible some of you don't know that greatness is your destiny.
"For I know the plans I have for you", -this is the Lord's declaration-" Plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 HCSB
Based on that scripture there are few things you should now know.
Once you accept that the question then becomes who do you need to become to inherit the promised land? What do you need to do become that person? If it's growing in faith, I strongly recommend joining The Courage Circle.

58: What You Waitin' For?
Whenever it's time to make a move we can always find a reason NOT to do it. We come up with the best excuses too! "I'm waiting on God." "I don't have the support from my friends or family." "I don't want to make a move until I have figured everything out first."
Have you used any of those excuses before?? I know I have. The truth is though, probably about 97% of the people who say they have a reason to wait are really just stalling. If you want to ever get past it, then you are going to have to get to the bottom of what is truly keeping you from making a move.
In this episode, I expose the truth behind the excuses we often give for why we are waiting and reveal the danger of remaining stagnant in our walk. It's time for us to deal with our fear and move in the direction of our destiny.

57: Meditation Could Save Your Life w/Ebony Tutora
LISTEN HERE
Stress caused me to be physically ill. My doctor recommended meditation, among other things, as a means to heal and prevent illness in the future. As a Christian, I hadn't really given too much thought to meditating outside of "meditating on the word of God". However, when faced with a diagnosis caused by stress, anxiety, and depression I was much more open to it than a daily regimen of prescription drugs for the rest of my life.
This episode I chat with my favorite meditation guide and friend, my girl Ebony Tutora of Queens Recognize Queens. She shares with us her love for Jesus, her experience and her journey to become a meditation guide and educator.
If you are dealing with anxiety or stress, need clarity or healing then mediation might the answer for you too.
See how DOPE Ebony is for yourself!
Queens Recognize Queens® was created by EbonyTutora with intent to create spaces for deeper connections, as well as the space to heal, recognize wholeness, and create the vibe of women authentically supporting other women. Overcoming a background of trauma, domestic violence, and rape, she now uses the same powerful tools she learned to heal and empower other women. Her Coaching practice specializes in inner child healing, mindset mastery, meditation, and spiritual therapy. For Ebony, the brand represents true women empowerment, as well as the principal of healing one's own self so you can recognize your own light, and the light of others. Ebony is on a mission to globally uplift 1 million women by encouraging them to love themselves (and one another) and to walk boldly and courageously in the best version of themselves.

55: Forgiveness Is Freedom
There are many school's of thought on what forgiveness is and what it isn't. Many believe forgiveness is a process that happens over time. Courage reminds us how toxic unforgiveness can be to our journey and our growth if left unchecked.

"Love is a term used liberally, but applied sparingly."-Courage Molina

43: Self-love is NOT selfish with Tamara Rice
Can I get a show of hands if you are busy this holiday season? Are there things you need to get done at work? at home? at church? If you are like most of us then your hand is up and you get tired just thinking about everything you still have left to get done. We spend much of our time taking care of the needs of everyone around us and seldom take time to care for ourselves.
I don't know who is responsible for the idea that taking time to love and care for yourself is something selfish or makes you self-absorbant. I believed it for years and my actions are proof.
This episode with Tamara was like therapy for me and I hope it has the same impact on you. She unpacks the importance of self-love in the lives of those who give so much of themselves to others.
In this episode:
About Tamara
Tamara Rice is a mommy, entrepreneur, and consultant. After graduating from Georgia Southern University in 2006, she became an elementary school teacher and then went on to train teachers on how to perfect their craft. Most recently, she’s used her position as a brand ambassador to help women build a life they love by focusing on their health and wellness goals. She believes that women harness a power inside of themselves that’s waiting to be unleashed. And they can only do so by choosing themselves first.

32: Follow Your Heart with Quia Z Morris
August 1, 2018
How did you decide on your current occupation? If you are like most people it probably had something to do with pay, benefits or family obligations.
We are taught in high school our future plans should be based on our skills and their compatibility to a career field. Very rarely are we encouraged to follow our dreams and even when we are, there is an expiration date.
There comes a time when we are too "old" to chase our dreams and we have to get real and start "adulting".
I want you to know it's never too late to pursuit your dreams. Let your gifting and your passion lead the way!
My guest today is following her heart and inspiring us all to do the same! She shares how medical issues derailed her plans, the loss of her marriage broke her heart and how God used art to heal her and give her a new lease on life.
About Quia Z Morris
Quia is a contemporary abstract artist who was born to two amazing parents, both Marines. The oldest of 3 children, she grew up traveling the world and has lived in several countries and U.S. states. She draws inspiration from everywhere she's lived: Morocco, Norway, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New York, South Carolina, Virginia & Florida.
"I have always been a lover of the arts since I was a little girl and blessed to have experienced exciting cultures at a young age! My baby sister was diagnosed with brain cancer at age 9, I was 13 years old at the time and my brother was 12. An extremely difficult time within our family, I often listened to classical music, played piano and sketched to release tension. Art whether it was visual or musical helped to lift my spirits and give me hope. Today I can say my sister is a cancer survivor and I am eternally grateful for her brave example at such a young age."
She is a self taught artist who has been painting with purpose for several years. She graduated from Florida A&M University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management and a minor in military science. She searched for many years trying to find her niche and realized she loved to create. She continues to learn and experiments with new techniques and always challenges herself on this journey. She believes, art like music can change your mood, your thoughts and even your actions. The right piece can lift your spirits, create nostalgia and speak to you in a way that no person can. She creates vibrant art because she believes color is one of the greatest gifts God as our creator has given us. It’s impactful, it’s psychological, it affects each person differently. She specifically wants her art to provide energy, warmth, excitement and stimulation when you lay your eyes on it.
She currently resides in Tallahassee with her two wonderfully exhausting and entertaining children.
