Hey guys,
I have suffered with mental health for years, and I wanted to create this podcast as a way of sharing my experiences past and present, and the things I have done and still do to help me along the way. I want this to be a place where I can say what I am feeling, and just have a chat. Growing up I was always ashamed of my poor mental health. I want 'The Mind of a Clueless Girl' to be a podcast that allows you not feel this way. A safe space.
I am by no means a professional. Just sharing my personal experience.
Also apologies for the audio quality- I am new to this!
Hi all,
I am back with a new episode!
During this episode, I share some tips and tricks on how to adopt a more positive mindset! I wanted to share what has helped me improve my outlook on life and the things I do to help me on the days I still struggle to be positive, in hope that maybe in some way it can help you too. I am in no way an expert, but I just want to make people smile and feel good about themselves. I hope in some way listening to this episode does exactly that.
Also, remember to cut yourself some slack. Trying to adopt a more positive mindset is great, and if you are in the headspace that you want to do that, then you are halfway there, but it probably won't be an overnight change. So, if one day you are doing really well, and the next you feel you are right back to square one, don't beat yourself up. You are trying to rewire a way of thinking that you have probably had for years, and that's not easy. Instead, give yourself a pat on the back and appreciate you are doing a great job. There is always tomorrow.
Hope you guys enjoy the episode!
Hi all!!
I am finally back after a very very long time, and I am so happy to start posting regular episodes again!! I am going to try and do an episode every Thursday, but I may sometimes post every other week instead.
It has been a crazy year and unfortunately I had to stop this podcast for a little bit, but things are looking up and I am excited to get back into it!
This week I decided that it seemed fitting, since I have recently quit my job to pursue my dreams, to do an episode on living your best life and taking the plunge to follow your own dreams. I discuss how I suffered for a long time with finally taking a chance and try and pursue the career and life I wanted, and what let me to finally make that change. I hope this episode can help you, and encourage you to do what truly makes you happy without caring what other people think. At the end of the day, as long as you're not harming anyone then do what makes you feel happiest and most alive because life is too short not to enjoy it!
I apologise in advance for this episode being a bit rambly, the first 15 mins I kind of just give you guys a general update on my life and the direction I want to take with this podcast and the rest is about following your dreams! I haven't recorded in a long time, so I feel maybe this first one will be a bit chaotic, but bare with me. I will try and start making them shorter, as I know an hour is excessive, so that will be my aim for the next episode.
But for now, enjoy this episode. I hope you like it and I am looking forward starting this all back up again :)
Hi all,
This week I wanted to talk about something that I do struggle with to quite a great extent, and that is, always feeling like I am a burden. The reason I decided to speak on this topic is because something that happened recently left me feeling like a total burden, and it was only until a few hours later, I thought to myself "You did nothing wrong. Stop thinking your problems aren't important/real".
So, I thought, I am sure I am not the only one that struggles with this feeling, so I wanted to share my experience with how I feel like a burden about a lot of things, and ways I am trying to improve this. We have to realise that at the end of the day we are just human, and it is okay to want to occasionally share your thoughts and feelings, that doesn't make you a burden, it just makes you normal!
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the episode this week, and let me know what other kind of topics you would like me to discuss in the future.
Hi all,
Back again with a new episode!
This week things are slightly different, as I had the pleasure of inviting one of my good friends, Kate, on the podcast to have a little chit chat about mental health, self-care, and endometriosis.
I thought it would be nice to get someone else's point of view/perspective on mental health, and how best they manage their's. I also wanted to invite my friend Kate in particular, as I know she was recently diagnosed with endometriosis, and I personally, didn't know a great deal about it. All I knew was that endometriosis can be very debilitating, and cause women an immense amount of pain and frustration. That's why I thought it was important to discuss, so more people who may not fully understand it either, can gain more of an insight into the chronic condition.
Hope you guys enjoy this episode, as much as I enjoyed recording it.
Hi all,
In this weeks episode I wanted to take it back to body image and self-confidence. We all know that beauty ideals are practically unachievable, but we still bend over backwards and put ourselves through a lot of suffering, both physically and mentally, in an attempt to achieve these impossible goals.
I wanted to talk about how much these ideals change, how fickle society is, and how quickly trends go in and out of fashion, and the affect that these things have on us.
I have definitely fallen victim to this, and still do, but it's truly impossible to fit everyone's idea of perfect, and we shouldn't have to.
Please join me as I talk about the evolution of beauty ideals and our endless battle to try and reach them.
This episode was inspired by a video I watched by Amber Scholl below:

Hi all,
I know it's been awhile but I realised I have needed the break, as stress was getting the better of me. I have also unfortunately been feeling unmotivated to do anything, so I have been struggling to push through and actually record. I never want anything on this podcast to be half-hearted, so when I am not in a the mood, I don't like to just record for the sake of it, especially when I am discussing things like mental health.
With that being said, let's crack on. This week I decided to talk about the strange year that was 2020, and how it affected me both positively and negatively, as I am sure it did all of us. I wanted to try and mainly focus on the positives, as I think it is the best thing we can do in such an uncertain situation, for our own sanity. However, I also wanted people to realise that it is also okay to feel like crap, and you shouldn't be feeling silly or guilty if you do.
To whoever listens to this episode, I hope it helps you feel more positive, more motivated or even just feel like you're not alone with the way you are feeling.
Hi all,
This week I decided to venture away from talking about OCD, and talk about another topic that I am also very passionate about, and that is Body confidence and social media.
Body confidence is something else that, like OCD, has affected me for the most part of my life (as I feel it has many people), and we all know social media doesn't help!
But that doesn't have to be the case...
Join me in another long episode (sorry guys, I am just very passionate!!), as I talk about my struggles with body confidence, my opinions on social media and body image, and ways I think social media can be used as a way to build us up, rather than tear us down.
I speak about Instagram accounts and Youtube videos I have come across that have opened my eyes to how fake the images we see on social media truly are, and made me feel more positive about my own body image.
So, if you're body confidence is majorly affected by what you see on social media platforms, I highly recommend checking out the following:
Now let's get into the podcast xx
Hey all,
I am back, and today I am going to continue the discussion I started last week about my journey with OCD.
This episode I talk more about how my OCD currently affects me currently, what my trigger are, and what I do to manage them and improve my mental wellbeing.
I briefly touch on my health anxiety as well, and ways I help improve this because the topic is very closely linked to my OCD.
I hope this is useful to some of you, and helps you on your journey with OCD, but as I will continue to say I am by no means a professional, so please, if you are really struggling, I urge you to get the help and support you need to improve your mental health.

Hey all,
I am back, and today I am going to talk about ultimately what made me want to create this podcast, my OCD.
Having OCD has made me the person I am today, and has taught me many things that I practice and value to this day. One being empathy for others, and the other, a constant desire to help people, and put a smile on their face.
However, this has journey hasn't been without its struggles. I have definitely had some dark days, especially towards the beginning of my journey with OCD. I thought I was weird, a freak, alone, and I just didn't think anyone would understand it. I mean, I didn't even understand it!
So I want to share my journey with you, in hope that it will help any fellow OCD sufferers out there to realise they are not alone, they are not strange, things will improve, and you sure as hell got this!
I am by no means a professional. Just sharing my personal experience.
Hope you guys enjoy!
P.S
I also apologies for the audio quality. There are a few noises in the background and the sound is a bit off, but I am new to this. I am learning and I promise I will improve!
