This episode of the podcast is not what I'd initially planned, but I get this feeling that it is what we need. In this episode:

I invite you to join me on this challenge this month to honour your word to yourself. Too often, we normalize casually breaking promises to ourselves ever so casually. IVer time, we start to believe that our own word doesnt mean much.

Self-trust is built one promise at a time. When you honor your word to yourself, something subtle but powerful shifts.

Join me in this challenge this month. Decide what word you'll honour all month and then let's do it together. One day at a time! Brick by brick!

And if you mess up? Don't quit! Try again the very next day! I'm rooting for you in all ways, always!

This episode is a little different, and honestly, its delicious! In this episode, we are talking about how budgeting is actually a lot like making jollof rice.

If you've ever mare jollof rice you already know that it isnt just food. It is culture, it is pride. I break down

  • Ingredients of your jollof (and budget)
    • You can just throw things in the pot and hope for the best, you'll get a concoction. Same with budgeting
    • We talk about the key ingredients of your budget
  • Cooking - the actual budgeting and the steps involved
    • The preparation
    • Simmering - no rushing
    • Tasting and tweaking to perfection
    • developing your own unique formula

I had fun with this episode, but I also hope it brings to life how budgeting should be done, when done well.

I promised a follow up episode to describe the process of automating your finances as automation is central to a good paycheck routine.

Automation takes away the guesswork out of managing your finances. That means no fees, and no mistaken balling out, and you get to pay yourself first via saving and investing. In this episode, I share the key steps to automating your finances including:

  1. Mapping out on paper where your money will go
  2. Mapping out how much will go into each bucket every month
  3. Set up the first level with your employer
  4. Then set up the rest of the savings and investing automation by linking your accounts and setting up the automated payments
  5. Set up automating your fixed payments
  6. Do You Have to automate everything? I'd say about 80% automated and 20% manual.

I'm so glad Togor responded to my request for people willing to share about getting on the same page financially before getting married. In this episode, we talk about:

  • When she and her now husband had their very first money conversation
  • How that conversation set the tone for their relationship
  • Red flags when a potential mate refuses to talk about money consistently
  • How their financial conversations have evolved over time - reading books, not making money the elephant in the room, education, having a systen in place, reviewing together
  • How they got on the same page financially and the importanve of honesty
  • The importanve of being open to renegotiating terms initially agreed to
  • How they set a budget for their Lake Como wedding
  • How they established boundaried leading up to the wedding
  • 3 key principles they established that continue to serve them today one year into their marriage

While Togor wants to live a quiet rich life, I'm thankful that she decided to share her journey with us. As promised, here's the link to a snippet of their special day on Lake Como.

This topic is not new to the podcast. In fact, exactly 2 years ago, I covered Black Tax in episode 73 of the podcast (check it out). But it isn't a one-time conversation. In this week's episode of the podcast, I cover:

  • The fact that Black Tax remains a reality for many immigrants
  • Deciding on a Black Tax budget and setting aside an Black tax emergency fund
  • Deciding on what your exceptions are before hand
  • Defining you other boundaries (i.e. a minimum number of days for a notice period etc)
  • Your role in enabling financial dependence
  • Savior complex and survivor's guilt
  • Thinking Long term

Let 2025 be your hear of No, or Not this time. Let it be the year to sit with any enabling tendencies or motivation for saying yes when you can't really afford to.

Early on in my financial journey I came across an article about financial milestones by age and I was completely discouraged by it. Why? Because based on my life circumstances, I was no where near the milestones for my age.

Instead of looking at age based milestones, in this episode of the podcast, I focus on 5 financial milestones that actually matter regardless of your age.

  1. Living Below Your Means (& Investing Early and Often)
  2. Having and honouring your financial boundaries
  3. Becoming Financially Literate/Aware
  4. Avoiding Lifestyle Creep When You Become A High Earner
  5. Building Wealth and Making Money Conversations The Norm With Your Kids

Now, I think those milestones are good guidelines, but they are probably work for those who live a very check-the-box lifestyle with everything going to plan from birth! Unfortunately, this is not the story for most of us. Now, over a decade later, while I didnt start out close to the milestone for my age, I'm on track to exceed the next financial milestone.

Hot takes are so freaking popular and they're clickbaitey (is that a word) but they seem to work. The thing is though, they are hardly ever 100% true and there's always nuance to things in the world of personal finance.

In this week's episode of the podcast, I respond to 6 hot takes and share my personal opinions/thoughts. Again, am I always right? No!

This is not financial advice, just me sharing my nuanced views. Personal finance is personal, always sort through information with your own internal filter!

The Holiday season is here and this episode is inspired by the OG podcaster, Myliek. In a recent episode, she briefly touched on boundaries over the holiday season and my brain went...pingggg and here we are. This got me thinking about how often we hear or even we talk about getting through the holiday season and that does not sound enjoyable.

So this episode is a reminder for all of us to set the following boundaries especially this season:

  1. Set Boundaries with yourself and pour into yourself
  2. Set boundaries at work this season
  3. Set boundaries with your family
  4. Set financial boundaries NOW
  5. Schedule time with your chosen family
  6. Embrace the Joy of Missing Out

Have a wonderful holiday season, with your boundaries out in full force!

  5. Four ways to keep lifestyle creep/inflation in check
  6. I wrap up the episode with a reminder to compare monthly expenses to what they used to be before the end of the year. Are there intentional lifestyle improvements or have things crept up on you? Let me know what you find

What does it cost to be a bridesmaid in 2023?

The financial cost of being a bridesmaid is regional, cultural, and situation-specific. However, we can all agree that things seem to have gotten a bit out of hand in recent times. It is a great honour to be asked to stand next to a close friend or family member on one of the most important days of their lives, but it can also get expensive. I love a beautiful wedding but not one that put people in debt. In this week's episode of the podcast, I talk about:

  1. Standard costs of being a bridesmaid
  2. How I think about some of the costs of being a bridesmaid
  3. 6 things brides should think
  4. Reasons to say no, thank you as a potential bridesmaid
  5. How to support the bride in other ways
  6. What to do when planned bridesmaid expenses get out of hand
  7. Why I don't want a bridal party but I probably want a bachelorette/Bridal shower gift

As a retired bridesmaid and future bride, I share personal experiences and would also love to read from you on your experiences. Happy wedding season.

It's very obvious that life insurance should be a part of financial plans for those that have dependent children, and spouses, but what about singles? Up till now, I've either said no to life insurance or  at lest, I have been on the fence.

In this week's episode of the podcast, I talk about why  I'm changing my mind about life insurance including:

  1. Life insurance that I do have through work
  2. Recent events that have caused me to reconsider my stance on life insurance
  3. Why I think I'll only need life insurance for a short time so i'm looking into Term life
  4. Why singles need life insurance too

If you're on the fence, I hope you'll listen to my position and why I changed my mind. Do you have life insurance? Why did you decide to get life insurance and how much coverage did you get?

  1. Themes from the show
  2. Diversity of the cast

    5 Defining Your Rich Life

Inner work always preceeds the outer results, in life, in love and in Money.

It is so important that we all define what our own Rich lives look like for US, not based on whats popular or what someone said, or what we saw on social media. Many times, it is an act of rebellion and courage to be brave enough to choose our own definitions. I hope you'll choose yours. Two years ago, I recorded podcast episode on how to live your best rich life, I listened to it and I was like.. dang, it is still so relevant. I hope you'll also check out that episode of the podcast (Episode 21).

Everyone tells you that you need to save and invest for retirement, but what does that mean in concrete numbers? How much do you need to save/invest over time to be on track to retire without being a 'burden' to the next generation? In this episode, I talk about:

  1. 2 different ways to calculate how much you need to save/invest for retirement
  2. Method 1 is replacing a percentage of your income at retirement. See this retirement calculator
  3. Method 2 is working towards a specific investment goal based on your calculation of (Annual retirement income/4%). Calculate how long it will take to get to your investment goal using this Bankrate calculator

In this episode, I also talk about what to do if you're ahead of schedule, and I share options for those that may feel behind. While the easiest way to stay on track for retirement is to start early, it is possible to start saving for retirement at 40 and still retire with a decent nest egg.

I hope this helps you wherever you are on your journey. I'm rooting for you.

When my friend suggested that I talk about this on the podcast, I said, why not? In this episode of the podcast, I talk about the state of my finances during the following phases of my life

  • My early 20s - super broke
  • In my mid 20s - got a full-time job, started to pay off debt, Felt behind, and isolated financially
  • In my late 20s - debt free, budget traveler, saw the impact of not having a will
  • In my early thirties - moved to another country, took a pay cut
  • My mid-30s - thinking about legacy, starting this platform, buying a home (finally and so much more)
  • My hopes for the next season

In this episode, I'm honest about things that have changed and things that have remained the same. What a difference time makes and what a journey. I hope listening encourages you and also inspires you to look back on your own journey!

Procrastinating can be expensive and I certainly experienced that last year. In this episode, I'm sharing 5 ways that my procrastination ended up costing me money in 2022.

  1. Last-minute eye exam and glasses order
  2. Last-minute flight bookings
  3. Signing up for city-subsidized parking at work
  4. Corporate credit card expenses
  5. Canceling services timely

As you can see, all of these were avoidable, yet here we are. I'm human and I'll still make money mistakes from time to time. Now that it's out in the world, I want to normalize talking about money mistakes here and there without change.

Do you tend to procrastinate as well? While it may seem like one small thing here and there, remember that it only takes a small leak to sink a ship. So lets plug those leaks one money habit at a time!

Welcome back to the podcast! There's been so much going on so I had to address this head-on, and in doing so, break things down. There's been a lot of sensational headlines, and even misinformation so I decided to share a bit for informational and educational purposes. This is NOT financial advice. In this episode, I talk about:

  1. Silicon Valley Bank's background
  2. How Bank's make money
  3. What went wrong for SVB (Silicon Valley Bank)
  4. How SVB's collapse affect depositors, shareholders, and other investors
  5. Whether the government is bailing out SVB or not
  6. Whether I'll be moving my savings or spreading them across many banks
  7. Signature Bank and Credit Suisse in the news lately

If you know an immigrant, there's there's a good chance you know someone that pay Black Tax every month. Is Black tax a blessing or a burden? Let's talk! In honor of Black History Month, let's talk Black Tax and Immigrant/BIPOC community.

  • The origins of Black Tax
  • Black Tax in my family growing up and how it was the norm
  • When does gratitude turn into guilt and an inability to say no even at our own expense?
  • Why we don't talk about Black Tax
  • How Black Tax affects our ability to build wealth
  • How much to support family and friends?
  • 4 Guidelines to abide by when supporting family and friends
  • A Message for those always waiting for the 'well-off' family member to always bear the brunt of responsibilities

The goal is that we are the generation that lifts the burden of Black Tax, not adding to it. Black Tax (in my opinion) can be a blessing AND a burden. However, we need to get in the habit on putting our own life vests on FIRST, and saying No.

Happy Black History Month!

When I first started at my full-time job 13 years ago, benefits enrollment and open enrollemt were foreign languages to me. With no one to talk to, I read part of the jargon, made my elections, and kept it moving for SIX years. It would take me that much time to realize that I'd been selecting the wrong health insurance plan . It's that time of the year when employees of companies in the USA are making their benefits elections.

In this episode, I explain key open enrollment reminders. I talk about
1. Some key terms that relate to health insurance
2. Understanding the plan options available to you and then assess what plans(s) are best for you
3. Comparing your company's options to the options provided by your partner's employer
4. Understanding what has changed in your Company's benefits and policies.
5. Assessing any changes in your life or in your life goals that warrant a change in your benefit enrollment elections for the year.

Your benefits are part of your overall package and you should make sure they're working for you. Thank you for listening to this episode of the Rich Immigrant podcast, please rate, review, subscribe, and share this episode on iTunes.

OG Listeners will recall we had this recession conversation in June (Episode 54 of the podcast). However, since then

  • Central banks have continued to struggle to control the flow of money and the Federal Reserve has raised interest rates 5 different times this year (so far)
  • Inflation reports for September show inflation at 8.2%. Thats still high!
  • Gas prices have fallen a bit but they're still high and OPEN is decreasing oil production starting in November 2022.

I share all this to say that there is still volatility and the signs of a recession are pretty glaring. The goal is not to freak you out, but it is to put you and I on guard. In this episode, I share 7 things to do to position yourself to weather a potential recession

  1. Do a financial audit
  2. Revisit and ramp up your emergency fund
  3. Pay down high interest debt
4.Bring value at work and Upskill
  4. Increase your income
  5. Diversify your investments
  6. Get support within your community

We are always heading towards a recession, we just don't know when and for how long. Recessions will always have casualties but they also always have winners. Want to know more on what to do with your money right now depending in your financial situation? Listen to Episode 3 of the podcast1

This week's episode is inspired by conversations and observations that I have made lately. No one likes to be called cheap, but there's a fine line between being cheap and being frugal so let's talk about it.  In this episode, I talk about:

  1. What it means to be cheap or miserly
  2. Examples of cheap behaviors
  3. What I am NOT referring
  4. What it means to be frugal
  5. Examples of frugal behavior
  6. Where the fine line between being cheap vs frugality gets crossed
  7. 4 Questions to find out if you're being cheap

This episode is not meant to shame us, the goal is to help us identify our own patterns and course correct them when we can. It is important that we remember that money is a tool. It is a tool to be used rather than one to be hoarded. Values-based spending is ultimately the goal.

Friendships & community have been a recurring theme on my mind this year. How can we live rich lives without rich relationships? In this episode, I have a long-awaited conversation with one of my besties, Kemi Onabanjo - Joseph. In this episode, you'll hear a lot of laughter, reflection, and wisdom, as we take you on a journey. We talk about:

  • How we met (how a seemingly insignificant IG moment birthed something bigger than us)
  • What is something Kemi is learning this season?
  • How we have stayed connected over time despite living on different continents
  • How does she make time to stay connected to her wide network and to her closest circle (which is pretty wide)?
  • How she thinks about relationships and making room for new friends
  • How she has processed and moved forward from friendships grown distant
  • Authenticity and vulnerability are superpowers that she has managed to tap into. How is she able to show up and share in this way?
  • Looking back on our friendship over the last 5 years, what she is most thankful for (I share what I'm thankful for as well)
  • Her best advice for anyone actively looking to find their tribe in this season

Part 2 of the conversation will get into Friendship Money circles! I can't wait to have Kemi back (this year) to finish our conversation!

Kemi will say that she is just a happy child (also someone's mom and wife) who loves life, loves to laugh, loves to dance, loves to travel, loves to stay fit (sometimes), loves work, loves love, and loves Jesus.

Kemi works as an Associate Partner of one of the leading global management consulting firms (McKinsey & Company) in Nigeria. Prior to joining McKinsey, she worked with Zenith Bank and Ericsson (both in Nigeria) across various roles. Kemi holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Covenant University and an MBA from INSEAD in France (where she was valedictorian for her class).

Outside of work, she is the President of the Covenant University Alumni Association, a pioneer Mandela Washington Fellow of President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative, an Associate of the Nigeria Leadership Initiative, and a pioneer mentee of the WIMBIZ (Women in Management, Business and Public Service) mentoring program. She is a member of the Board of Trustees for HOPE (Helping Other People Excel) and also serves on the board of the Steadfast Love Foundation and Beyond a Curved Spine.

In 2018, she was a Future Awards Africa Nominee in the Professional Service category and was recognized on YNaija’s Power List for Corporate Nigeria. In 2017, she was also recognized as one of the top 100 inspiring women in Nigeria by Leading Ladies Africa. She actively mentors young men and women.

Kemi is a lover of theatre and actively explores the world through travel. Follow Kemi on Instagram here and sign up for her weekly value-packed newsletters here!

This past weekend made 20 years since I stepped on American soil as a wide-eyed, sheltered 16-year-old eager to take on the world on her own for the first time and in a new country. I couldn't think of a better way to kick off Season 6 of the podcast.

In my most personal episode yet, I'm doing my best to compress 20 years into 30 minutes. In this episode I talk about and share lessons from the following segments of my journey:

  1. Getting through University and my career progression so far
  2. Facing my biggest fear - the loss of a loved one
  3. Traveling the world
  4. Immigration matters and my challenging journey
  5. Friendships over the last two decades
  6. My hopes for the next season/decade
  7. My hope for you, listening on the other side

It is impossible to cram 20 years into 30 minutes. There's so much I could have dug into but maybe that's a story for another platform, or even a book :). I hope my journey inspires you, or at a minimum helps you understand my experiences and how they've shaped me.

  • Listener Q&A - I answer these three questions from listeners

  • How I managed my finances on a low income when I was a student and when I was working in a factory

This topic is near to my heart, and yours I presume! As immigrants and BIPOC, especially, we know all about Black Tax but we want to lessen the burden for the next generation. In this week's episode, we talk about how to invest for your kids even if you don't have kids yet. We cover:

  • Take care of yourself first (financially)
  • What you teach and model is more important than how much you pass on
  • Making investing and financial literacy part of everyday conversations (age-appropriate, of course)
  • Open a 529 college savings account (or an RESP in Canada)
  • Open a custodial account (the UK equivalent is a Junior ISA)
  • Open a Roth IRA for your child as soon as they start working
  • How to invest for your kids if you're just  getting by and can't invest for your kids now
  • The one thing you can offer your kids that is priceless - a toolkit to tackle life

I can't wait to hear and see all you do to protect, educate, and position your kids.

The stock market has been in rollercoaster mode so far in 2022 and who knows what's next? There are certainly a lot of opinions out there but no one has a crystal ball. There's also a lot of jargon being thrown around. My goal with today's episode is to break down the jargon and explain what in the world is going on with the Fed such that someone with the least around of interest has a basic understanding so they can make informed decisions.

In this episode, I talk about:

  1. Who/what is the Fed and why does it exist?
  2. The most influential tool used by the Fed
  3. What is the Federal Funds target rate?
  4. How do banks charge each other interest and how does the federal fund's target rate affects you and I
  5. How does the Fed raising the target rate affect savings accounts?
  6. How does the Fed raising the rate affect our best, and especially homebuyers?
  7. How does the Fed raising rate affect the stock market and immediate investor psychology?

I hope this episode provides you with tools to better understand what's going on, to dig deeper, and most importantly, to make informed decisions.

Pivoting into tech is a popular move lately but how are regular people actually doing it? When Dumebi shared that she pivoted into tech and doubled her base salary, I knew I just had to bring her on the podcast to share her experience with you. Dumebi Oti is a Cloud Economist at a Tech Company in the United States.

In this episode, we talk about:

  1. Is the move to Teach as sexy and exclusive as it sounds on Instagram?
  2. What she was doing before and why she decided to make the switch from Finance to Tech?
  3. The key things she did to prepare for the transition (upskilling, applying, networking, boot camps, etc)
  4. For anyone looking to make a similar transition, what pitfalls should they avoid?
  5. What people should look for should they decide to go with a Bootcamp or course
  6. Lessons learned from the interview process and what she would do differently
  7. We talked JustMovedToYankee (JMTY) and what she finds most rewarding.
  8. How her personal experience transitioning into Corporate America inspired her to start JMTY

A little more about Dumebi: after graduating from Babcock University, she moved to the U.S to pursue a Master’s degree in Economics from The University of Texas at Dallas. Upon joining Corporate America, she realized that she and a lot of other African immigrants struggled to integrate into the system due to cultural differences & information gaps. So she created JustMovedToYankee (aka JMTY); a community dedicated to helping African immigrants thrive in the U.S! She’s also the owner of 360SoftPlay, in the Dallas bounce houses and soft play for kids.

  2. How far things will drop
  3. History of stock market recoveries
  4. Dollar-cost averaging

Anya's mantra is 'who cares what Aunty thinks, live your life!' As an immigrant from Trinidad, Anya understands the pressure immigrants feel from their community, the people in their new homes, and even from themselves to build a life that's impressive to others, even though it may be extremely stifling to them.

What a wholesome and honest conversation we had. We talked about so much, from being a first-generation immigrant to paying off debt aggressively, to standing up to societal expectations and building community. We talked about:

  1. Moving to Boston from Trinidad as a teenager
  2. Graduating with $36,000 in student loans and moving across the country to San Francisco
  3. Being the only or one of the only Black women in Tech roles
  4. How the financial knowledge from her family did not apply to her life in the USA
  5. How not having a support system impacted her finances
  6. Building community after relocating to a new city and budgeting for it
  7. Getting laid off and leaving the USA temporarily
  8. Finally making a plan to pay off her debt
  9. How going home helped her financially, emotionally, and mentally
  10. What's different about her now
  11. Why she's building Navigating Culture

With Navigating Culture, and the Navigating Culture podcast, Anya is empowering immigrants and even people from immigrant families to live by the mantra, Who Cares What Aunty Thinks, Live Your Life. Essentially, she is creating a community of immigrants who are Redefining Outdated Ideas Of Success & Living Joyfully On Their Own Terms, Even If Aunty Disapproves.

When I first started at my full-time job 12 years ago, benefits enrollment was a foreign language to me. With no one to talk to, I read part of the jargon, make my elections, and kept it moving for SIX years. It would take me that much time to realize that I'd been probably selected the wrong health insurance plan and that I should have selected the HSA. It's that time of the year where employees of companies in the USA are making their benefits elections.

Many people know that they should be saving for retirement but it is often difficult to delay more immediate needs. Further, too many of us believe that investing is for the rich. This could not be further from the truth and I wish someone broke this down for me earlier. Investing is for EVERYONE.

In this episode, I share some tips on how to start investing with as little as $50 - $100 a month. I talk about:
1. It all starts with a good budget. A good budget empowers you to tell your money where to go. Read this post to learn how to create a budget that works.
2. Investing enough to get your employer match on your retirement savings/investments
3. What to do if you don't have an employer retirement plan
4. Prioritizing taking advantage of tax-deferred accounts first
5. Taking advantage of government perks like the Savers credit in the USA and the Lifetime ISA in the UK

When it comes to investing, procrastination is costly! Start today, with what you have and as your income grows, increase your contributions. Your 60-year-old self will be so proud of you.

The media just LOVES to glorify the perfect immigrant, but the truth is, while those grass to grace stories are great, there should be room for all immigrants to thrive. Thrive without having to live up to the accomplishments of the 'ideal immigrant.'

In this episode, I share my perspective on the pressure to be a perfect immigrant, one that has it all together. I talk about:
1. I share and contrast two different immigrant profiles and how they'd be perceived
2. The societal pressure to be the perfect immigrant
3. Pressure from families to make the sacrifices of our parents 'worth it.'
4. The need to put on our own masks first as immigrants and children of immigrants
4. Our responsibility for the next generation of immigrants

This is a topic near and dear to my heart and there's so much to unpack here. For anyone navigating some of the things I talked about in this episode, know that I see you and I see all the work you're doing-especially the internal work.

I mentioned these two resources are some of my favorites:

  • Brown Girl Therapy
  • Progressive Migrants

Over memorial day weekend, I talked with my friend, Suzanne, about her real estate investing journey. This is the second in a two-part series. I don't know about you but I love graduations and I'm a sucker for a good graduation speech. Something about that transition from being a student to adulthood (such a scan btw) always has me in my feelings about the journey culminating in those moments where we don our caps and gowns. Celebrating the accomplishment and looking ahead with great hope for the future.

When Nina reached out to ask that I share things that I'd tell my younger self, I had to do it! I could have gone on and on but I wanted to keep it around 20 minutes (way longer than a typical graduation speech). Here are 8 things I wish I knew as a brand new graduate:

  1. You are not behind on life, not now, not ever
  2. Focus on relationships always but know that they will evolve
  3. Normalize therapy and asking for help
  4. It's time to get down and dirty with your finances
  5. Cultivate the habit of giving back
  6. Decide who you are or the world will define you
  7. No one has done this before, we are all winging it
  8. Always do your best work

Bonus: Find your voice and use it, but don't wait to feel courageous. Move even in uncertainty.

This episode is for the new graduate, the not-so-new graduate, or for the person in a season of transitions. I hope this episode meets you where you are. Over here at The Rich Immigrant, we are rooting for you in all seasons!

Moving abroad is a big deal! Many times we do it for better opportunities, for education, for our careers, for love, for our children, or for a different life experience. In continuing with this season's theme around money and relationships, we're tackling the discussion around lending to family. Many experts say not to mix money and family, but is this practical for most? Especially for immigrant families? Probably not. I share examples for times where I've borrowed from family and I also shared an experience where I had to turn down a family members' request for a loan

In this episode, I cover  5 Things To Consider In Making Your Decision:
1. Know your family and the specific family member in question
2. Save Yourself first
3. Don't lend more than you can lose
4. Ask questions, but when you say yes, don't attempt to control
5. Have the conversation.

Knowing that some situations may go awry, I wrap up this episode with tips on what to do if a family member does not pay a loan back, and what to do if you've never been asked for a loan.

The right money mindset is a foundation for financial independence and so I'm kicking off this podcast by taking care of this first. This podcast will challenge you and how you think about money. Many times we unconsciously inherit mindsets based on our parents' habits, our background, and our personal experiences. Things don't have to remain that way, we don't have to repeat any negative habits from our parents or guidance, we can be the generation that changes things.

In this episode of The Rich Immigrant, you will learn:

  • What a money mindset is
  • How we develop our money mindset
  • A scarcity vs abundance mindset
  • Steps to take to shift your money mindset
