One of the most powerful decisions you can make is to START making steps towards true health. But one of the most detrimental decisions you can make is to START OVER making steps towards true health.
Ever been there?
The "January 1st" mindset; the "I'll start Monday" mindset; the "the next 30 day challenge" mindset.
This can be a tricky place to be. Because we start to treat starting over as a "savior".
On this episode, we unpack:

Just as much as sleep, food, movement, peace and mental/emotional health are key aspects to our overall well-being, connection and purpose are too.
Habit #6: Cultivating Community is all about thriving personally by being connected relationally.
This conversation discusses the fact connection is built into our DNA (according to research), how technology has changed relational dynamics permanently, why community actually is, and practical tips we can implement to enhance our relationships.
Habit #7: Embrace Purpose is all about connecting to something bigger and better to fill that inner void.
In this part of the episode, we discuss how important purpose actually is, what it truly is, things that have derailed us from embracing it, and some questions to ponder to help us live a more meaningful and purposeful life.

Ask a random person, "How are you doing?" and they is a very high chance they will respond with some version of the answer, "Good, but busy."
The cultural undertow is only speeding up our lives and adding to our stress.
Not only that . . . but since technology has been introduced to the scene, anxiety has gone through the roofs.
Get this: the current high schooler experiences the same levels of anxiety as a 1950's psych ward patient.
This is not normal. And this is not truly healthy.
In this episode, we discuss:
Walk into any room and you'll notice the same thing . . . it is priming you to SIT.
Our culture is becoming increasingly sedentary (inactivity) so much that scientist have coined the new condition as "THE NEW SMOKING." (Don't believe me? Google "Sitting is the new smoking.")

What diet is the most successful? Keto? Whole30? Weight Watchers? Counting your macros?
Google "nutrition" and after reading longer than 10 minutes, you will probably have several questions. Because the cultural undertow will always lead you down the path of CONFUSION in the field of nutrition.

Habit #1 out of The 7 Habits of Health is SLEEP WELL.
If you cannot listen, here is the bottom line: You cannot become truly healthy until you prioritize sleep. Because to do your best, you need your rest. Physically. Mentally. Emotionally. Relationally. Spiritually.
You will learn:

The brain operates on "autopilot" for the majority of your day. These subconscious patterns that the brain has normalized to tackle life's demands are known as "habits."
A habit is your go-to default mode. It is a regular pattern or tendency you perform every day.
I.e. brushing your teeth, driving your car, eating with a fork, etc.
And your health is a byproduct of your habits. They are the reason you are either in shape or out of shape, a happy person or unhappy person, or a tidy person or untidy person.
Just as habits can work for you . . . they can also work against you too. Because you have good habits that help, and you have bad habits that hinder.
In this conversation, we talk about:

The mission behind HOLO HLTH is to help you become truly healthy.
But you are never going to get any help from culture. The cultural undertow will always drift you away from health and away from each other.
So we need a system that is simple enough to implement yet robust enough to withstand.
