Join us for a message from Pastor Pat Gilbert as we are reminded that we serve a loving God who made us for a great purpose.
Elijah is a character who simply appears on the scene in thebook of 1 Kings chapter 17, with no introduction other than where he is from, Tishbe in Gilead. Being from Tishbe would likely make him a descendant of Ishmael, the “other” son of Abraham. What better messenger to humble the nation of Israel and call them to repentance than a descendant of Isaacs brother from another mother, who stood outside of the covenant relationship of God and Israel, and yet faithfully obeyed and spoke for the God of Abraham. Join us as we look at his prophetic ministryin Israel to see what it can teach us.

We are inundated with decisions every day of our lives. Some of them are small and inconsequential, like "What Should I wear today", or "should I have eggs or oatmeal". Others are big decisions that will impact our lives forever like, "Should I marry this person", or "is this career really what I want for the rest of my life". So many decisions can make us wish that we didn't have to decide, and so we don't, which is also a "decision". No one plans to
make decisions that will ruin their lives, but too often we don't plan NOT to. The quality of our decisions
determines the quality of our lives. We make decisions, and then our decisions make us. The BEST decision we can ever make is the decision to follow Christ, and following him can help us to make better decisions as His spirit leads and guides us through life.
Join us for this series where we look at some big decisions that we can make right now, that will protect us from bad decisions later, and lead us into the life that God wants for us.

The word Gospel means good news! The first four books of the New Testament are called the Gospels because they contain the life and teachings of Jesus who is the "good news" embodied. As the church began to grow throughout the 1st century, the leaders of the early church, began to interpret the teachings of the disciples and apply them to their lives, and learned how to live out the gospel in practical ways. Letters were written to teach the early church how to apply the Gospel in their cities, families, and personal lives, and these letters became part of our Bible to teach us how to live out the Gospel.

For many years the church has asked this question of the masses, "Are you saved?". Our churches are filled with people who have said Yes to that question, and yet statistics show that the actions of those in the church are very similar, if not the same, as those who are outside of the church, and would presumably answer "NO" to the very same question.
To be "Saved" is no small thing, and yet in our haste to sell the idea to the masses we have made it small. To live "Saved" is not an easy thing, and yet we downplay the sacrifice needed, in order to keep from scaring away those we seek to save.
In this series we will explore what it really means to be saved and examine the signs of discipleship that are often lacking in our churches, such as Sacrifice, Discipline, Obedience, and Commitment to Christ, who gave His life to SAVE us!

The world is in love with music. You can see it everywhere. Musical artists are treated (and paid) like kings and queens in our culture today. Music is powerful, and has the capacity to shape, inspire, and challenge the hearts and souls that it touches. Music has always been central to worship, all the way back to the times before Christ when men, like King David, expressed their deepest feelings and desires in worship songs, that were voiced as requests at times, worship at times, thanksgiving at times, and even Lament at times. Their words formed the book that we now call simply, "Psalms". Join us on this journey as we visit these precious and inspiring words that are essentially prayers that sing! This week, we finish up our series on Psalms with Psalm 90.

Gospel- Good news
In classical literature the word “Gospel” designated the reward given for good tidings. In the Bible’s New Testament, the word is used more than 75 times as the writers did their best to describe the indescribable. That God himself came to earth as a baby and then died a criminal’s death so that we could have life. There is no good news better that this news, and the reward for those who are willing to live out this good news, and to share this good news with others is the greatest reward we could ever want. Eternal life with the one who created us! Join us as we explore the four books of the New Testament that contain so much of this “good news” that they come to be known as “Gospels”!
This series will bring us to Easter.

We live in an uncertain world filled with issues that cloud our thinking, and are beyond our ability to control, such as the economy, covid, and wars on the other side of the world.
That uncertainty has woven its way into the fabric of our lives, making us uncertain about many things that have never been in question before.
This uncertainty has woven its way into the church as well, inspiring a whole host of questions among believers, one of the most critical being “Can I know that I am really one of God’s Children?”
John, in his 1st letter to the church, gives us the information that we need to find clarity and to be certain of our place in God’s Family.
Join us on a journey through 1st John as we strive to move beyond Questions and find Clarity!
This is nine of a nine part series.

When times are uncertain, and things don't go our way, it seems easy to question whether God is still at work in our lives and in our world. Does he still care? Is he still in control? Do we still matter to him? A familiar children's song reminds us that "He's got the whole world in His Hands"...but does he really? Does He STILL have the whole world in his Hands?
In this series we will discover that some of our favorite stories from the Bible and many of its most important lessons came from very uncertain times. In fact, it was in times of uncertainty that God was often able to accomplish more in the lives of his people, than he ever could when they were comfortable. Uncertainty is not new or unknown to God, and regardless of how things look to us, He still has us In His Hands.

The Path to Quietness of Soul
In a world filled with uncertainty and noise, we all desire a quietness that escapes us. We go to retreats and seminars, we read books and blogs and articles to find the key to peace in our lives, and yet all of this leaves us unchanged, as we ignore the one path that will lead us to the quietness of soul that we seek….The path of "Presence"! The more we find HIM the more we will be drawn to seek HIM, and in seeking him we will find all that our hearts desire. Join us on a journey that will lead us to His presence, and the quietness of soul that we seek.

Sermon Series
Jesus said that he came to give us life….a more abundant life (John 10:10). As we start a new year we tend to evaluate where we are and where we should be, but sometimes our lives look pretty ordinary to us. Jesus words; however, paint a picture of a better life that is both possible and EXCEPTIONAL!
Theme Text:
John 10:10 (NLT) “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”

A series for the month of November on being ThankFULL or Full of thanks. Our Scripture for the Series is:
Colossians 3:12–17 (NLT)
12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. 17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
