The 12Stone Church podcast is a series of teachings designed to inspire, encourage & deepen your faith in Jesus Christ using practical & modern applications. To watch these teachings, visit 12stone.com or YouTube.
This Father’s Day, we explored what it really means to be a man of God — not perfect, but present. Every man is like Superman: carrying a cape to serve others, living like Clark Kent in the daily grind, and battling his own kryptonite. In this message, we’re reminded that we live in a spiritual world with a spiritual battle — and God has already given us the strength we need through His Spirit.
Whether you’re a dad, mentor, or leader, this message will challenge and encourage you to lead with humility, fight for what matters, and keep showing up — even when it’s hard.
Because God doesn’t just use perfect people.
He uses surrendered ones.
What if the reason you’re stuck isn’t your situation… but your pride?
In this message, we kick off our Life-Changing Pictures & Parables series by unpacking one of the biggest barriers to God’s blessing: selfish pride. Through a powerful teaching from Luke 14 and a look at how pride deceives and destroys, we discover the surprising truth — that humility is the way forward.
Whether you’re in a season of success or struggle, this message will help you see how taking a step back and choosing a lesser seat could actually move your life forward.
We live in a world that never stops moving — but what if real strength is found in slowing down? In this message, we explore God’s design for both work and rest. You’ll discover why rest isn’t just a break from life, but a vital part of how we thrive in it. Jesus invites us to sit with Him, not just serve Him — and that changes everything.
Feeling overworked or constantly tired? You’re not alone — and you’re not without help. In this message, we explore what the Bible says about work and rest — and how the rhythm between the two is key to a meaningful, healthy life. Whether you’re burning out in your job, stuck in striving, or just need permission to pause, this teaching offers practical guidance and a spiritual reset. With sponge-in-hand visuals and biblical truth, you’ll learn how to work with purpose and rest with trust.
Your job matters to God. So does your rest. Let’s get back to the design He had in mind.
Graduation is not the finish line — it’s the starting line.
In this powerful message for Graduation Sunday, Pastor Jason and four graduating seniors reflect on what it means to follow Jesus into the next chapter of life. From high school to college, from student to servant leader, the journey ahead is filled with change — and one thing we all need is wisdom.
Rooted in the book of Proverbs and the story of Solomon passing wisdom to his son, this message unpacks how to navigate transitions with God’s truth, not just good advice.
Featuring real student voices, spiritual takeaways, and a church-wide invitation to invest in the next generation, this is more than a graduation moment — it’s a call to live unshakeable with purpose, legacy, and faith.
On this special Mother’s Day message, we’re taking an honest look at the beauty, exhaustion, purpose, and pressure that come with being a mom. Through biblical encouragement, shared stories, and a powerful reminder from Galatians 6, we’re reminded: God sees every seed you plant — even when all you see is dirt. Whether you’re a mom in the trenches, a grandmother with wisdom, or a spiritual mom to others, this message will speak hope, value, and purpose into your season.
This was no ordinary Sunday. It was a full-out celebration of all that God is doing through Unshakeable, the Gospel, and the power of changed lives. From our First Give offering to stories of radical generosity, from hundreds of baptisms to moments of spontaneous life change — we witnessed God’s kindness on full display.
🙌 We celebrated commitments.
💧 We witnessed baptisms.
🌍 We launched a two-year vision to build unshakable lives, communities, and impact around the world.
This message is a reminder that God still sees the ONE, and He’s still writing stories of transformation. Just like the Ethiopian official in Acts 8, maybe you didn’t just show up to church — maybe God brought you here for this exact moment.
When Jesus called us to follow Him, He didn’t mean it was a perfect performance. He meant it was a relationship. 🕊️
The message of the cross isn’t “clean up your act”—it’s “come back to Me.” No matter how far you’ve wandered, no matter how many mistakes you’ve made, Jesus is ready to forgive, ready to restore, and ready to call you back into a life with Him.
In today’s message, we explore the story of Peter—the disciple who messed up big time, ran away in shame, and still found that Jesus’ love was greater than his failures. If you’ve ever felt too far gone, this message is for you. It’s not too late. You can follow Him again.
Easter isn’t just a celebration of a moment in history—it’s an invitation to life change. This Easter message at 12Stone walks through the powerful truth that no matter how lost, broken, or stuck we feel, we are not a lost cause.
Through the story of Jesus on the cross—flanked by two criminals—we’re reminded that grace is never out of reach. One rejected Jesus, the other surrendered. Which one are you?
You’ll also hear a moving real-life story of Michael, whose journey through addiction and prison felt hopeless… until Jesus. Now, he knows the truth: he has a seat at God’s table—and so do you.
🪑 If the tomb is empty, you are not a lost cause.
Is there still hope when you’ve messed up? This week at 12Stone Church, we looked at one of the most infamous characters in the Easter story—Judas. His failure was devastating, but his story reminds us of a powerful truth: you can be near Jesus and still miss the life He offers. Through this teaching, we explore how our own mistakes, regrets, and shame can make us feel stuck or too far gone—but Jesus says otherwise. The same grace that was available then is still available now. Whether you’re carrying guilt, wondering if you’ve gone too far, or just need a fresh start—this message is for you. You are not beyond God’s love. If you’ve ever felt like you don’t belong in church or that your past disqualifies you, let this be the week you hear the truth: Jesus came for you.
What do you do when someone you care about feels like a lost cause? In this message, we walk through the powerful moment in Mark 2 where four friends bring their paralyzed friend to Jesus—despite the crowds, despite the obstacles, despite the risk. They literally unroof the roof to get to Jesus, believing that healing and hope were just on the other side. Their story reminds us that bringing someone to Jesus isn’t always neat, clean, or convenient. It’s personal. It’s bold. And it often means making a scene. This week we’re asking: Who’s your ONE? Who is near to you but far from God—and are you willing to step out of your comfort zone, risk your reputation, and bring them to Jesus? Because when Jesus is in the room, it’s never a lost cause.
Over the past five weeks, we’ve followed the story of Joshua, a leader who trusted God fully and lived with “No Retreat, No Regrets, No Return.” Now, just like the people of Israel in Joshua 24, we’re invited to look back at God’s faithfulness—and choose again who we will serve.
This message isn’t just about generosity—it’s about building an Unshakeable life on the rock-solid foundation of Jesus. Whether this is your first step of faith or a fresh surrender to what God’s been whispering to you, today is a call to choose faith over fear, and legacy over comfort.

What does it really mean to live an Unshakable life? In this powerful message, Pastor Kevin walks us through the story of Joshua 10, where God’s people learned one of the most practical and personal principles of faith: PRAY ~ FIGHT ~ WIN.
Joshua didn’t always get it right. In fact, he made a major decision without prayer—and it came at a cost. But God’s grace met him in that failure and invited him back into covenant. When Joshua prayed, fought with courage, and trusted God, the impossible happened—hail fell from the sky, the sun stood still, and victory was won.
Through personal stories, honest moments, and biblical truth, Pastor Kevin reminds us that fighting for the things that matter most—our faith, family, marriages, calling, and vision—won’t be easy, but it will be worth it. When we pray and fight, God fights for us.
In our third week of the Unshakeable series, we dive into the story of Jericho—one of the most well-defended cities in the Promised Land. On the surface, Jericho seemed unshakable, while the Israelites appeared shaky at best. But God had a plan that defied human logic, proving that true strength doesn’t come from walls, wealth, or worldly security, but from faith in Him. This message explores how the first battle is always for our worship—what we give our first and best to reveals what we truly trust in. Through obedience and faith, the Israelites watched God bring down Jericho’s walls, showing us that when we trust in Him, He provides the victory. Join us as we unpack what this means for our lives today. Are we building on temporary security, or are we trusting in the unshakable foundation of God? 🔗 Follow along in the Unshakeable Guide: https://unshakeable.12stone.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/UnshakeableGuide_Web.pdf 🔗 Learn more about the Unshakeable journey: https://unshakeable.12stone.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/UnshakeableGuide_Web.pdf At 12Stone Church, learn how to Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose and Make a Difference. In our second week of the Unshakeable series, we’re stepping into the story of Joshua and the Israelites as they faced a defining moment—crossing the Jordan River into the Promised Land. Just like them, we all have “Jordan River moments” in life where we must choose between fear and faith, comfort and calling, security and surrender. God invites us to trust Him deeply, step out boldly, and sacrifice what is temporary to take hold of what is eternal. An Unshakeable life isn’t built on what’s easy—it’s built on faith, obedience, and a willingness to follow where God leads, even when it feels risky. So what is God asking you to step into? What is He calling you to sacrifice?

We all face moments of uncertainty, where fear tries to hold us back from stepping into what God has prepared for us. In Joshua 1, God calls Joshua to lead His people into the Promised Land, reminding him to be strong and courageous—not because of his own strength, but because of God’s unchanging faithfulness. The same is true for us today. When we trust in God’s vision and move forward in faith, we can overcome fear and walk confidently into His purpose for our lives.

We all want healthy relationships, but what if the biggest obstacles aren’t the people around us—but the lies we believe? In this message, we unpack how common relationship lies can quietly destroy marriages, friendships, and families.
Does love really mean “I must be heard”? Is acceptance the same as never having to change? And how can we learn to listen better and love better? By uncovering these false beliefs and leaning into God’s truth, we can transform our relationships and experience love the way He designed it.
Most of us unknowingly believe religious lies about how we relate to God as followers of Jesus. These false beliefs distort our understanding of God, ourselves, and the church—leading to burdensome religion, fear-based faith, and an incomplete experience of God’s love. In this video, we’ll confront these harmful lies and replace them with the truth of God’s Word. Because when we hold onto deception, we miss out on the fullness of life with God. What if everything you’ve been chasing for happiness is actually leaving you empty? Our world tells us that happiness comes from success, relationships, money, or instant gratification. But no matter how much we achieve, buy, or experience, it never seems to be enough.
In this message, we unpack the Lies We Believe about what makes us happy and the truth that actually leads to fulfillment. The Bible warns us about three major lies—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—all of which convince us that happiness is found in temporary things. But Jesus offers something greater. In John 6:35, He says, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” True happiness isn’t found in stuff, status, or shortcuts—it’s found in surrendering to the only One who can truly satisfy.
Have you been chasing temporary happiness instead of lasting joy? Where are you believing the world’s lies instead of trusting God’s truth? This week, read Psalm 73 every day and ask God to reveal where you’ve been settling for less than His best. Let’s stop searching for happiness in the wrong places and start finding fulfillment in Him.
Are the lies you believe shaping your life more than you realize?
What you believe is the first domino in your life—it sets everything else in motion. If your beliefs are based on lies, they lead to breakdowns in relationships, mental health, faith, and purpose. But when your beliefs are rooted in God’s truth, they create breakthroughs.
In this message, we explore the common lies we believe about ourselves and how they impact our decisions. More importantly, we discover how Jesus offers freedom and transformation through truth.
“What is God’s design for community?”
In this message, we explore why relationships are vital for spiritual growth and thriving in life. The Bible shows us that we were never meant to do life alone. From the early church in Acts to the wisdom of Ecclesiastes, God’s design is clear—community is essential.
Key Takeaways:
• You were designed for community. Following Jesus isn’t an individual sport; it’s a team effort.
• Isolation leads to emptiness. Loneliness is a growing crisis, but God’s design for relationships brings healing and purpose.
• Healing happens in relationships. Confess your struggles, find accountability, and grow with others.Whether you’re looking to join a small group or serve on a team, today’s message will encourage you to take a step into deeper community. Life change doesn’t happen in rows—it happens in relationships.

What is God’s design for prayer? Prayer is one of the most recognized expressions of faith, yet it can feel elusive and challenging. Have you ever felt like you’re just talking to yourself, wondering if you’re praying the “right” way, or questioning if prayer even matters? You’re not alone. In this message, we explore the truth that prayer is God’s idea, not ours—it’s His invitation, not our intrusion. From Abraham to Jesus to the early church, prayer has always been at the core of a relationship with God. Through this teaching, you’ll discover how prayer moves beyond just asking for favors and becomes a lifestyle of deep connection with God.Key takeaways from today’s message:
1. Prayer is PARTICIPANT, not spectator. Taste and see that the Lord is good—experience God for yourself, not just watch from the sidelines.
2. Prayer is DESPERATE, not duty. We pray not just when we need a rescue but for wisdom, favor, and a deeper relationship with God.
3. Prayer is RELATIONSHIP, not religion. God invites us to know Him as our loving Father who provides, protects, and guides us. No matter where you are in your faith journey, prayer is an invitation to draw closer to God and experience His power in your life.
Worship isn’t just about singing songs—it’s a way of life! In this message, we unpack God’s design for worship and how it extends far beyond Sunday mornings. Worship is about recognizing who God is, letting that stir your love for Him, and living in a way that pleases Him.
Discover how worship can transform your everyday life—from classrooms to boardrooms to family dinners—and how a heart surrendered to God changes everything.
📖 Romans 12:1-2 reminds us that worship is offering ourselves as a ‘living sacrifice,’ holy and pleasing to God. Let’s live out worship every day, in every moment.

This week, we kicked off 2025 by exploring God’s design for truth and how it shapes a full, meaningful life. We learned that the Bible isn’t just a book—it’s the foundation for how we make decisions, set priorities, and align our lives with God’s best.
Through practical examples, we saw how God’s Word is like a recipe: when followed, it delivers the life we long for. But ignoring it can lead to regret, emptiness, and brokenness.
As we head into this new year, let’s commit to building our lives on God’s truth. Whether through the S.O.A.P. method or diving into a weekly devotional, the rhythms we set now will shape the rest of 2025. Let’s start strong by letting God’s Word light our path!

The Christmas season often stirs a desire to find satisfaction and joy for ourselves and our loved ones, leading us to seek fulfillment in temporary, worldly things. As Christians, we may still face moments of doubt and lose sight of where true joy is found—only in the hope and confidence of Christ. Every decision we make is like placing a “bet,” and to place our bets wisely, we must examine our daily choices to see if they draw us closer to God or deeper into materialism. When we feel the urge to fill a void with quick fixes, we should pause, bring our desires and doubts to the Lord, and trust in His goodness to guide us toward lasting joy. The Christmas season is meant to be filled with peace, joy, and hope—the good news of Jesus! Yet, in life’s unexpected moments, we often find ourselves overwhelmed by fear, worry, and anxiety. Without realizing it, we may start placing control above trusting in the King of Kings. But how we respond to the unexpected reveals who truly reigns in our hearts. Join us as we explore the stories of King Herod and Joseph in Scripture. While Herod clung to the illusion of control, Joseph faced his fears and chose to trust God’s plan. His response shows us that even in the midst of fear, we can embrace trust over control.
Have you ever chased something—whether it was a relationship, career, or dream vacation—only to find it didn’t satisfy you like you thought it would? We’ve all had those moments of emptiness, wondering, “Is this all there is?
But what if that emptiness is not failure but an invitation? A signal from God that we were created for something greater than what this world offers.
In this video, we explore the truth that you were made for more—more than temporary pleasures or achievements. You were made for a relationship with God, the only One who can truly satisfy your soul.
Do you feel like life lacks meaning or purpose? Often, a self-centered approach can lead us into fear, worry, and isolation, pulling us away from the abundant life God intended. But there’s a better way—one rooted in radical generosity.
At the heart of God’s design is a call to live a life modeled after His Kingdom—a life of generosity, connection, and trust in His provision. Discover what it means to embrace “Garden living,” where we return to God’s original plan and reflect His character in our everyday lives.

This week's teaching highlights the importance of seeking "Holy Help" from Jesus, who steps into our brokenness to guide us toward a Kingdom-centered life. In a culture that values self-reliance, leaning into God's Word and practicing daily rhythms rooted in His teachings are vital for spiritual growth. True transformation comes from pouring the right things into our hearts—Scripture and prayer—rather than the harmful influences of the world. By focusing on God's truth, we align with His Kingdom mindset, finding freedom and purpose in His guidance.
In the Kingdom of God, Jesus is our unwavering anchor, offering hope and unity amidst life’s storms. Our hope is firmly rooted in our identity in Christ, while the unity of the Church is strengthened under His name. Each of us is invited to the table of the Lord, encouraged to align with the mind and spirit of Christ. This means examining areas where worldly influences may have distorted our identity in Him, surrendering these at the cross, and embracing the truth of who we are in Christ. If forgiveness or unity feels challenging, reach out for prayer or support. This week, look for one way to display Christ’s unbroken unity within your community. The Kingdom of God is filled with unwavering hope—a belief that no matter our past, Jesus offers redemption and a secure future. Hope is woven throughout the Bible and is central to the Gospel, nourishing our souls and strengthening us to face life’s challenges. When we anchor our hope in Christ, it influences every area of our lives: our relationships, careers, and dreams. But hope is a choice. It calls us to look beyond worldly distractions to find true strength in the living water Jesus provides, just as He offered to the woman at the well, meeting her without judgment. This hope isn’t private; it’s meant to be shared. Whether you're exploring faith or are ready to take a public step, remember, hope is life-changing and brings peace that flows into every part of our journey.

Hospitality isn’t just about sharing a meal or having a spotless home; it’s about inviting others into our lives, even the messy parts, so they can see Jesus in us. Southern hospitality says, 'Come on in and make yourself at home,' and that’s the heart of Christ too! When we welcome others with love and openness, we make them feel valued and seen – just as God welcomes us. Let’s look for ways to show that same love and let our homes and hearts be a reflection of Jesus. Who can you invite in to experience His love today?

God has made Himself accessible to us through prayer, inviting us to boldly approach Him with our needs and desires. Often, we either underestimate God’s power or doubt our worthiness to pray. Yet, God desires bold, faith-filled prayers—ones that can move mountains and perform miracles, like parting seas or raising the dead. Ephesians 3:20-21 reminds us that He is able to do far more than we can imagine through His power within us. We are encouraged to make prayer a daily practice and are welcome to join weekly prayer meetings at each campus for deeper connection. Reach out to your campus pastor for more details!

Jesus’ example calls us to serve others sacrificially, even when we disagree, because He did the same for us while we were still sinners. The text reflects on how culture has shifted and outlines three options for influence: care, act, see, and celebrate. Practically, it encourages identifying a specific need in your community and serving sacrificially, followed by reflecting on the impact and joy of making a difference.

Desires can pull us in many directions, but as followers of Christ, we are called to live by the Spirit, not by our flesh. Surrendering to Jesus is just the beginning. True transformation comes when we intentionally turn away from our old desires and embrace the freedom only Christ can offer.

Many of us focus on caring for our outward appearance while neglecting our inner well-being. We hide our flaws, not just from others, but also from God. This video explores the importance of focusing on our hearts, not just the external, and how surrendering to Jesus is a daily process. We need to seek forgiveness, be authentic, and let go of the habit of hiding. True transformation starts when we embrace our new identity in Christ and continually surrender to Him.

The Kingdom of God operates on principles that are entirely different from those of the world, and the church must be aware of this distinction to avoid conforming to the world's ways. While the world's kingdom leads to brokenness and regret, God's Kingdom offers healing and blessing. Jesus instructs the church to be in the world but not like it, showing compassion and humility to help people come to faith. This week's challenge encourages believers to embody a "pineapple" standard for personal conduct while adopting a "peach" approach—soft and approachable—towards others, making it easier for them to find Jesus.

In a world filled with anxiety from financial instability, job stress, and personal struggles, it seems impossible to escape the constant worry that overtakes our minds and hearts. However, in the Kingdom of God, peace is meant to be the norm. While external stressors will always exist, our response to them can be transformed. As believers, we're called to seek God's Kingdom first, laying down our burdens and embracing His peace. To practice this peace, we can engage in prayer and journaling, focusing on God's promises and allowing the Prince of Peace to calm our anxious hearts.

How forgiveness is handled in the Kingdom is different than how it’s handled outside the Kingdom. We know the Kingdom of God has a King, a culture, and a calendar, but it also has a code. The world’s code tells us to “get even.” But the Kingdom Code of Conduct instructs us to approach life differently. For followers of Jesus, the Kingdom Code that governs relationships is forgiveness. But sometimes forgiveness can be complicated. We need to forgive, and we need to be forgiven.

The Kingdom of God is a love story set in the backdrop of war. A biblical approach to understanding spiritual warfare is necessary as a Christian to know how to fight against the devil’s schemes. A lot of people struggle to believe in Jesus, but it’s more difficult to deny the power of evil in this world. That is spiritual warfare! For some reason the idea of evil and supernatural forces of darkness makes us feel uncomfortable! It is important for us to learn how to fight these supernatural forces with Kingdom power and Biblical principles! God has already won the war, but we need to equip ourselves to know how to fight our battles!

We are in a complex season as a country, marked by division and political segmentation. By focusing on the Kingdom of God, which Jesus emphasized throughout His ministry we can take steps to live wisely. Jesus proclaimed the nearness of God’s Kingdom, gave us authority to make disciples, and taught us to pray for its coming on earth as it is in heaven. Our responsibility is to commit to living out a Kingdom perspective in every aspect of our lives—relationships, careers, finances, and more—living to reflect Heaven’s reality here on earth.

Over the past few weeks, we have explored hymns that have influenced past generations. Today, we focused on a hymn that is shaping our generation and those to come, proclaiming the promise of new life in Jesus. It's easy to say yes to Jesus, yet many of us remain trapped in our old ways. Our sins imprison us, but Jesus has paid the ultimate price for our freedom, allowing us to find new life in Him. Key reflections from today include: recognizing that following Jesus transforms us into new creations, understanding that sin is a destructive force, not a trivial amusement, and realizing that our goal should be to draw closer to Jesus, not just to avoid sin. This week, spend time in prayer, confessing the worldly things that hold you back. Identify your personal "jail cell" and lay it at the feet of Jesus.

A safe person is easy to describe and sometimes hard to find! They are mostly healthy— remember: no one’s perfect—and help you become who God created you to be. They can be spouses, friends, mentors, or family. Whether you have this person in your life or are still seeking them out, there are a few ways to prepare yourself and your relationships! Let’s talk about 3 practices for healthy relationships!

Our lives are filled with diverse relationships, including friendships, family, and church connections, all designed by God. Corrupting these relationships leads to dysfunction and unhealthiness. The biblical story of Jacob and Esau illustrates the consequences of dishonesty in relationships. Safe people, who are crucial for healthy relationships, are honest, non-condemning, and authentic. They own their issues rather than deceive themselves or others. To foster honesty, we are encouraged to engage in honest conversations and pray for guidance, ensuring we and future generations benefit from healthier relationships.

Between the constant news updates and the habit of doomscrolling on social media, we often fail to recognize the joy being drained from our lives or falsely perceived in others. By stepping back from our screens and observing the world right in front of us, even amidst hardships, we can experience the “Joy of the Lord!” Achieving this requires us to invite God into our lives and walk the path back to joy. This journey may look different for each of us, as we are all uniquely designed and wired, but God's desire is for us to enjoy Him and His creation.

The societal pressure to love work and the prevalence of being overworked often lead to exhaustion even after taking vacations. It emphasizes that this constant busyness is not what we are called to do. Instead, it highlights the importance of observing the Sabbath, a day dedicated to rest and delighting in the goodness of God. It points out that even God took a day to rest and enjoy the world's creation and encourages people to embrace this practice. The main focus is on understanding and practicing the Sabbath to find true rest in God.

Freedom and responsibility are interconnected. As young adults, Daniel and his friends, raised with Jerusalem's values, had to bring these roots to a new environment. They navigated their decisions in a worldly setting with their spiritual roots, choosing to honor God instead of succumbing to Babylon. Their example shows that our decisions have consequences. Key thoughts include the impact of different types of decisions, the importance of establishing wise routines, and seeking God when mistakes are made. The discussion emphasized the importance of mentors who guide us in faith decisions and encouraged expressing gratitude to them and praying for the next generation, particularly graduating seniors, to support them in their spiritual journeys.

As we navigate a world filled with distractions, it's hard to determine what deserves our limited time, resources, and attention. This week, we examine how Daniel prioritized an eternal perspective, helping us discern what's essential and how to live with an eye toward eternity.

Being rooted in something shapes your life's direction, affirmation, motivation, and strength; however, sticking to familiar roots can drift us towards pride and chaos. Thankfully, when we surrender our hearts and become rooted in God, His faithfulness guides us.

Everyday we have to decide who or what we put first in our lives. What we choose is what we honor. We are called to serve God and to worship Him alone, but what do we do when things get complicated? How should we respond when culture expects us to put other things before God? How do we know if we should relax, refuse, or remove ourselves from a culture that is not rooted in biblical truth? Throughout this week’s message, we dive into these questions by studying how Daniel and his friends faithfully refused Babylon’s cultural ideals, remained rooted, and worshiped God alone.

In our current culture, people choose to place their identity in many different things such as gender, race, nationality, relationships, interests, career, etc. Through the story of Daniel and his friends, we learn that being rooted in God helps us remain steadfast in our identity in Christ and discern when to accept or reject what the world offers.

In a rapidly shifting culture, it's challenging to uphold Christ's values amidst prevalent messages of gender confusion, devalued human life, and other societal issues. The book of Daniel provides a playbook for navigating these times, illustrating the consequences when God's people forsake His ways for worldly desires, like Israel's fall to Babylon.

The Church was built for community and to be a place where we learn more about who God is. It’s a place where everyone can become the person God has called them to be, to live like Jesus, and to serve His people. It can be challenging to find the right community to root yourself in, but Scripture is clear about the value of church. We attend, we encounter God, we deepen our relationship with Him, and we walk in obedience to His Word.

The end of the year is a great time to look back on all that’s happened in the past 365 days. While a lot can happen in a year, what’s true is that we are all marked by something from it. Maybe you had the best year of your life and there was celebrations, promotions, laughter, and immeasurable joy. Maybe your year was full of loss, disappointment, fear, and confusion. Despite the year you’ve had, Scripture tells us to thank God, to turn back (reflect), and praise God for who He is. Whether we’re bringing joy or the weight of pain, let’s reflect and remember the goodness of God.

The reality of life is that we will experience disappoint. Whether it’s disappointment over where we’re at in life, in ourselves, or in relationship, we all experience it in some way. However, our reality is also that we have Jesus. In all of our disappointment, darkness, and dissatisfaction; Jesus is our relief, light, and joy. In this Christmas season, we’re not just celebrating the birth of Jesus, but also the light he brings to all of our lives.

"Many of life's failures are men who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."
God loves us enough to LET US FAIL. Where have you GIVEN UP too early?
There is a world of difference between FAILING and GIVING UP
Are you willing to go where God wants you to go if you HAVE TO FAIL to get there?
The Big Picture & 10 Big Questions: Why don't Christians look different from everyone else and who needs the Church?

Speaker: Senior Pastor Kevin Myers

At times we all reach the point of "I Can't" in our lives. But when we feel broken and like saying we're done, remember: God is not done with us – because whatever we can't do, God still can! He always has more for us when we choose to follow Him fully.

Scripture: Romans 8:31-35, 1 Samuel 13 & 14
The Mentality: The circumstances around me will never weaken the faith within me.
