Ellie Shefi walked through hell and came out happy.
Elli grew up in a family that struggled finically. Ellie and her family would dig in trashcans for aluminum cans and newspapers to recycle for money. She is also a survivor of abuse and rape and a survivor of domestic violence that forced her to live under a fake name and a ghost file.
Ellie has also been homeless (or as I prefer to call it “housing challenged”). She has lived in her car and eating food that restaurants were throwing away at the end of the night.
Ellie is also a uterine cancer survivor and a medical miracle that has been told that she would be dead by and keeps on living.
Ellie has survived all of that and today she is attorney, entrepreneur, a number one international best-selling author, speaker, strategist, consultant, coach, and philanthropist.

Having been injured at birth and developing Erbs Palsy Qaysean Williams left arm has limitations including his left hand is useless.
His injury has prevented him from playing in sports growing up, riding roll coasters without looks from those who operate the rides, and to this day he still struggles tying his own shoes.
Qaysean’s injury may have caused him some self-esteem issues and feelings of worthlessness. His injury lead to him being called named and picked on by his peers in school. He internalized the pain he was feeling from the cruel words of his classmates.
He knew the words of his classmates were damaging him so he decided to do something about it.
He decided to give himself some self-talk and tell himself that he should love the arm.
He started to create fashion to “cover up” his arm and distract everyone form his physical disability. His work made him feel good about himself and it was the beginning of his fashion career.
because Qaysean decided to change his mind set to “I believe I can do anything I put my mind to.” he decided to strengthen his weak arm. Although he was reluctant at first, Qaysean started to work out in a gym to strengthen is left arm.
Today Qaysean sees his disability as his super ability. He first saw it as his super ability when he created garments that others found amazing he could create such an amazing product in spite of his disability.
Although he does get some push back from customers who do not believe he can create a full garment with just one hand, he keeps working to inspire others both in the disabled community and beyond to find their own super abilities.

Tucker’s cancer is so rare that only about 6,500 people are diagnosed with this form of malignancy in the U.S. each year.
By the time Tucker’s melanoma was detected, it had metastasized to a lymph node in his groin.
Tucker was treated at the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center.
After two surgeries, Tucker was put on a weekly injection of the drug Interferon for four years and seven months before the Interferon became so toxic to his body that Tucker ended up in the Intensive Care Unit with a fever of 108 degrees.
Unfortunately, Tucker’s cancer experience hasn't ended. The melanoma that had plagued him for over six years returned in 2017, and his only treatment option was the amputation of most of my left foot in 2018.
The cancer reemerged again in 2019, requiring multiple operations.
Recently, Tucker’s doctor advised him that more than likely, he is coming to the end of his life. But he refused to be a victim of this malignancy and has a spirit of determination that will inspire you to face any challenge in your life head on!

One morning, a little over 1 year into her marriage, the Reverend Doctor Mariah Stewart husband told her that he did not want to be married anymore.
The proclamation, although it was not a complete surprise to her, did change her life from being a married woman to a divorcee raising her son.
As a single mom who battled anxiety, depression and some thoughts of suicide, she drew upon her faith to raise her son not to hate his father while making sure she could financially provide for the both of them.
Her struggle may have set her for a loop at first, but it gave her the strength and the calling to start a ministry, called the lioness queen, for other women who are going through a divorce.
Reverend Doctor Marisha shares with us her struggles, how she overcome the darkest time of her life and how she helps others today.

Kevin Hofmann has lived an interesting life. His mom wanted to abort him as he was conceived via an interracial affair – fortunately, she changed her mind and he was born in Detroit weeks of after the Detroit riots of 1967, also known as the 12rth street riots.
At the age of three months, Hofmann was adopted by a white minster and his white wife into their family in Detroit where he grew up with three older white siblings.
Despite a cross being burnt on his yard at a very young age, his white father facing harassment for brining a black child in to the white community of Detroit, and the parents of neighbors who did not like him in “their” neighborhood, Hofmann managed, despite not feeling as if he fit in with either the black kids or white kids, to find his tribe and embrace the culture and heritage of his race.
Hofmann shares his life experiences and how today he uses those experiences to help in his racial diversity work as he strives to help all races understand each other leading to an improvement in race relationships.
