Marianne comes from many continents. Born in West Africa, grew up in France and lives in USA. She shares her perspectives of being from different cultures and without boundaries.

Ruth Van Reken is a second generation Third Culture Kid (TCK) and mother of three now adult TCKs. She is co-author of Third Culture Kids: Growing Up Among Worlds, 3rd ed., and author of Letters Never Sent, her personal journaling seeking to understand the long-term impact of her cross-cultural childhood. For more than thirty years Ruth has traveled extensively speaking about issues related to the impact of global mobility on individuals, families, and societies. She is co-founder and past chairperson of Families in Global Transition. In addition to her two books and many articles, she has writtena chapter in other books including Strangers at Home, Unrooted Childhoods, and Writing Out of Limbo.* In 2019 she received an Hon. Litt.D from Wheaton College for her life's work. She now lives in Indianapolis, IN with her husband, David
As a refugee who migrated to the United States at an early age, Mayme has always been passionate about leadership and creating a seat at the table for underserved communities. She volunteers her time to community developments and continues to push for people of color to have a platform and a voice in the decisions that affect them.
Mayme Dumbia is the founder of Xcelsior Coaching & Consulting LLC, where she works with emerging leaders, military, and organizations in their developments. She served in the United States Army for a term as a Unit Armorer, Logistics Specialist, and other additional supervisory roles.
During her time in service, Mayme obtained an Associate in Criminal Justice and graduated from Excelsior College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Management. After her time in service, she moved back to Portland, Oregon, and volunteer her time as a member and a mentor at Veterati, which is a mentorship platform for military members. Mayme is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Walden University.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and listening to inspirational speakers.
