We know the testimony of "God's Generals" but what about the testimonies of those who are Generals in training? This podcast highlights the powerful testimonies of those without name recognition. My desire is to inspire all people to share their testimonies and spread the good news of the Kingdom. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. (Revelations 19:10)
I had the privilege of having a conversation with filmmaker Brent McCorkle. He discusses his heart for the movie business. We talked about how he got in to the entertainment industry. Brent is a Jack of all trades. He plays instruments, composes music, writes movies and songs, directs, edits and produces. He’s also a father and a husband. The list goes on. “Jesus Revolution” is his latest film.

After years of praying my Mom's prayers have been answered in the form of this podcast. We engaged in ministry together for the first time during this episode of The Good Christian Podcast. This was the hardest episode I have ever done because the wounds are still fresh and we have never discussed the events of my past until now. It is a counseling session on air not for the benefit of my podcast but for the benefit of families suffering through the hell of addiction. This is a phenomenal testimony for the addicted and those who love them. If Jesus can set me free, He can and will set you free. There is hope. I have heard many testimonies over the past several years but this one is unique. Emma's story caught my attention in the very first minute of the first time we ever shared a conversation. You can clearly see the hand of God in her life when you see her in person and hear her describe the harsh past Jesus has walked her through. I had an encounter with Jesus that informed me of His reality on October 10, 2017. Through various encounters in 2017, He called me on an adventure to California. When I left Texas I was terrified that I heard Him wrong because I ran into some very hard times but I kept listening. He called me on another adventure just as I began to acclimate and become comfortable in my new town. Terrified, I stepped out again. I had to discover more about Jesus and no fear would stop me. I was alone...I thought. God's Holy Spirit was leading me and guiding me the entire time. This is one of those miraculous stories.
Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” I hear a lot of people saying “God will take care of it. Jesus is on the throne.” And that’s true but it doesn’t excuse ignorance. Hebrews 13:8, KJV: "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." Don’t be destroyed for lack of knowledge. Turn off the tv and look for truth. Truth isn’t subjective like the world is trying to teach us. There is a baseline. There is core truth and His name is Jesus. Ask Jesus to witness to you about current events or to show you trustworthy resources for research. (These are hard to find) Search the Bible for clues about a single global government. Here’s a hint: it isn’t a desire of the altruistic. Here’s another hint: the powers behind a one world government have been forming it long before you were born. They created the educational systems that “taught” us most of what we “know”. They probably even formed your most “unique” opinions for you. Only the Holy Spirit can wake us up and He wants to. So ask Him to.
Is there historical evidence to back up the Christian faith? Apologetics is defined as, "reasoned arguments or writings in justification of something, typically a theory or religious doctrine." Why do you believe what you believe? 1 Peter 3:15 says, "...be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you." In many cases defending your faith to unbelievers means shedding light on the fact that there is accurate historical evidence to back up our faith in Jesus. Aidan Dhaliwal joins me to discuss Christian apologetics.
Gabi is the child of missionaries. She is young at 21 years old and already experienced in the serious ministry of saving women out of the world of sex trafficking. Gabi's journey as a member of a missionary family wasn't always easy but she persevered and never questioned the goodness of God. Isaac Beck is a pastor's kid who was encountered by Jesus while tripping on mushrooms. The encounter ended his drug addiction. He also suffered from anxiety until his magic mushroom encounter with Jesus. Isaac says, "If you experience anxiety it's because there is a God out there who wants to know you that you don't yet know." Getting to know the God of the Bible eliminates fear, anxiety, addiction, and self-hatred from your life. (There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. Hello. My name is Britt Hodge. I was addicted to drugs for 13 years. For about 12 of those years I did drugs and drank hard liquor every single day. Meth, heroin, cocaine, prescription opiates, etc. I died officially two times of drug overdoses. I was arrested dozens of times. I was on felony probation for six years. I was homeless at times. One day I heard, "If you come back to me I will make it like you never did drugs a day in your life." I didn’t know at the time but what I heard came from God. That began my process. I started The Good Christian Podcast to share radical testimonies of God's goodness. This is my testimony.
