This is a love story. An exploration of hundreds of war-time letters written daily between my Grandfather, James Crosby and my Grandmother, Virginia Gardner between 1942-1945. She was at home in Cincinnati, Ohio and he was in the Army Air Corps. Based on preliminary research I believe this compilation to be one of the largest collections of daily letters between lovers to survive the war. Join me as we read them for the first time together.
Jimmy experiences a Southern Christmas in NC and Ginnie visits with family in Cincinnati.
Recorded on Mother's Day weekend, 2020, this episode focuses on Ginnie and celebrates her selfless love with memories from her children and letters from late December, 1942.

As Jimmy begins drilling in Miami, and Ginnie settles into her new life in Cincinnati, they celebrate Thanksgiving apart.
