Do you have so many questions related to your existence, like what is my purpose? Why do I have a body? Why did God create us as male and female?

And also if you are a Catholic, you may have many more questions like why Catholic Church does not bless same sex marriages? Why the church cannot tolerate masturbation where as even psychologists say it’s good for our mental health? What harm can pornography do to us? How can I overcome porn addiction?

Why Church says having sexual union outside marriage is a grave sin? What is the true meaning of marriage? Why abortion is a sin? Are you confused between the terms gender and sex? Have you ever gone through gender identity crisis? And do you know how you should respond to your peers/colleagues who are homosexuals? Also if we have a very strong sexual attraction to the same sex what shall we do then?

If you are looking for answers to all these above questions, here comes your help — Theology Of The Body which is a treasure given to us by Pope St. John Paul II. Theology of the Body (TOB)is an antidote to all the above mentioned problems in today’s confused world. TOB answers all the WHYs of today’s hot-button issues. It helps us to put an end to the culture of death and create a culture of life. Theology of the Body is the topic of a series of 129 lectures given by Pope St John Paul II during his Wednesday talks in between September 5, 1979 and November 28, 1984.

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth?Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? I never noticed this…. The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes. The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed at the head of that stony coffin.

I destroy homes, tear families apart,
take your children, and that’s just the start.
I’m more costly than diamonds, more costly than gold,
the sorrow I bring is a sight to behold.
and if you need me, remember I’m easily found,
I live all around you, in schools and in town.
I live with the rich, I live with the poor,
I live down the street, and maybe next door.

My power is awesome; try me you’ll see,
but if you do, you may NEVER break free.
Just try me once and I might let you go,
but try me twice, and I’ll own your soul.
When I possess you, you’ll steal and you’ll lie.
You do what you have to just to get high.
The crimes you’ll commit, for my narcotic charms
will be worth the pleasure you’ll feel in your arms.

You’ll lie to your mother; you’ll steal from your dad
When you see their tears, you should feel sad.
But you’ll forget your morals and how you were raised,
I’ll be your conscience, I’ll teach you my ways.
I take kids from parents, and parents from kids,
I turn people from god, and separate friends.
I’ll take everything from you, your looks and your pride,
I’ll be with you always, right by your side.

You’ll give up everything… your family, your home…
your friends, your money, then you’ll be alone.
I’ll take and take, till you have nothing more to give.
When I’m finished with you you’ll be lucky to live.
If you try me be warned this is no game.
If given the chance, I’ll drive you insane.
I’ll ravish your body; I’ll control your mind.
I’ll own you completely; your soul will be mine.

The nightmares I’ll give you while lying in bed,
the voices you’ll hear from inside your head,
the sweats, the shakes, the visions you’ll see;
I want you to know, these are all gifts from me,
But then it’s too late, and you’ll know in your heart,
that you are mine, and we shall not part.
You’ll regret that you tried me, they always do,
but you came to me, not I to you.

You knew this would happen. Many times you were told,
but you challenged my power, and chose to be bold.
You could have said no, and just walked away,
If you could live that day over, now what would you say?
I’ll be your master; you will be my slave,
I’ll even go with you, when you go to your grave.
Now that you have met me , what will you do?
Will you try me or not? Its all up to you.

I can bring you more misery than words can tell.
Come take my hand, I’ll take you to hell!

Forget Cupid Jesus Loves Me – funny saying for Valentine’s Day. Handmade calligraphy vector illustration. Good for T shirt print, greeting card, poster, mug and gifts design.Another Valentines Day is here. Wishing you all a happy and blessed Valentines Day 2023. Please check out all the 24 Jesus is my valentine pictures displayed above in the gallery.

For the time being, let us forget the whole debate of whether Christians should celebrate the Valentines Day or not. On whichever side of this debate you are, one thing you cannot deny is that this special day is not promoting hatred or jealousy or sorrow or mischief. It is indeed a celebration of LOVE, a celebration of romance and that ultimately is a very good thing indeed.

Who is your Valentine? Is it Jesus?A valentine is a sweetheart: specifically, someone who receives a greeting or attention on Valentine’s Day. When someone says that you are their “valentine,” they are simply choosing you as the person that they would like to show fondness to on this special Valentines Day. When people are married or dating, it is assumed that they are automatically the other person’s valentine due to the romantic relationship that they hold.

So in essence, it is a relationship based on LOVE and CARE. And when you think about it in that way, who do you think is loving you the most in this world? And whom should you love the most? Our Lord, Jesus Christ. And this makes HIM the perfect choice, urging all of us to say Jesus is my Valentine.

Thank GOD on this Valentines DayOur creator has blessed all of us so much not only by being such a loving and caring father to all of us, but by giving us such adorable, loved ones who are with us on this earth. Our parents, our siblings, our grandparents, our cousins, our friends, our colleagues, our life partner, our children – each of them makes us feel so special and so loved with their care and affection they show towards us. Thank God for HIS love towards us, Thank God on this day for giving us all these loved ones making our earthly life so pleasant and lovely.

At the same time, do think about the others too around you. Not all may not be as lucky as you to have all those loved relationships in this life here on earth. How many people around us are so alone and yearn so much to have people around them to take care of them or having people with them for them to love and grow up with. Pray for each one of them to have special people soon in their lives which will make them a lot happier.

Things to do on this Valentines DayBefore love, comes forgiveness. Do forgive the people who have hurt you.

Praise and worship and thank our Jesus for blessing us so abundantly with our dear ones on earth.

Bring a smile on someone’s face today by helping them, financially or otherwise.

Pay a visit to an old age home near you, and spend time with those lonely souls.

Even if you give a present or not, make sure your partner or loved ones know today that they are so special to you.

Hope you all loved all the above Jesus is my valentine pictures. We wish all of you once again a loving, memorable and blessed Valentines Day. God bless you all.

What does The Bible say about Personal Finance? Come, let us find it out.

Paying our tithe to the LordA tithe is 10 percent of a person’s “increase” (Deuteronomy 14:22), which is given to support the ministry and work of the Church. When we tithe, we show God that we are putting Him first in our lives. Tithing is not to make the Churches rich but it is to help the needy. It helps us to live unselfishly. Tithing also helps to trust GOD more and build up a more personal relationship with HIM. Give back to God what is already His. When you tithe, you are showing God that you not only follow His commands, but that you trust that He will care for you.

Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops. – Proverbs 3:9

Make a BudgetBible stresses on how important it is to plan for things. And a budget is a written plan to track and control income and expenses. We need to be aware of how we’re using our income, so we can know whether we need to make adjustments in our spending. Budgeting helps us live within our means, avoid impulsive and unnecessary spending, and prepare for future needs. If we don’t carefully plan our finances and direct them where to go, we will one day find ourselves broke.

Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? – Luke 14:28

Save for a rainy dayLife is unpredictable and can have its own surprises on the way and some of those surprises can be very unpleasant. We may require some huge medical expenses to be made for ourselves or for our dear ones. Or we can get laid off from work due to some problems which may not have anything to do with our performance. It is for this reason that God has encouraged us to have a savings, which may become fun money in your retirement, or security money when a steady paycheck is no longer there. Like the ant, who saves during a time of plenty for a time when there will be need, we, too, should save now for future expenses.

The wise man saves for the future, but the foolish man spends whatever he gets. – Proverbs 21:20

Avoid DebtDebt makes you a slave to your creditors. You lose that complete freedom on how you want to spend your salary as this debt might be eating up a considerable portion of your monthly paycheck. Change the way you handle debt and the financial habits that put you in debt including overspending and borrowing (loans). After tithing, pay yourself first by saving money so you don’t have to borrow. Be very careful about buying on credit because there is the villain named interest enslaving you. Do not spend money you don’t have.

The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. – Proverbs 22:7

Don’t agree to guarantee another person’s debt or put up security for someone else. If you can’t pay it, even your bed will be snatched from under you. – Proverbs 22:26-27

Work HardWork is a blessing. By working hard and not falling to slothfulness, we will benefit both financially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Do not rely on get-rich-quick schemes but invest your time to upgrade your own work skills which will lead you to a higher paycheck and promotions and more prosperity. Never find happiness in free money like winning a lottery ticket. Make sure you deserve every penny that arrive in your coffers.

Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time. – Proverbs 13:11

Dad’s hands were king-size and strong.
With his hands, he built our home
And fixed all the broken things.
Dad’s hands gave generously, served humbly,
and loved mom tenderly, unselfishly, completely, unendingly.

With his hand, Dad held me when I was small,
steadied me when I stumbled,
and guided me in the right direction.
When I needed help, I could always count on Dad’s hands.

Sometimes Dad’s hands corrected me, disciplined me,
shielded me, rescued me.
Dad’s hands protected me.
Dad’s hand held mine when he walked me down the aisle.

His hand gave me to my forever love,
who, not surprisingly, is very much like Dad.
Dad’s hands were the instruments of his great big,
Rugged-tender heart.

Dad’s hands were strength.
Dad’s hands were love.
With his hands he praised God.
And he prayed to the Father with those big hands.
Dad’s hands. They were like Jesus’ hands to me.

Why is it that a child makes life worthwhile?
Why is hope with each new birth new born?
What deep remembrance, shadowed in a smile,
Brings back the dream whose measured loss we mourn?

Why do we think that life that is to be
Has greater aptitude for being more,
As if we rose not from the self-same sea
To crash in turn against the self-same shore?

Why do we wrap the best of us in song,
The Eden that we left but never lost,
And try to pass that purer self along,
Not counting risk or reckoning the cost?

I do not know, but know that from my womb
Has come a life whose life makes my life bloom.

I’ve something to tell you a moment to share
I’m pregnant, we’re pregnant or whatever you care
A union of two, a propagation of love
Forever together, no longer just us.

The biggest joy, we cannot yet share
Our little secret, our baby, our heir
Irrational fears and high expectations
but ideally good health and strong relations.

We will laugh, we will cry, always love never hate
Our bundle of joy encased in hope so great
When the weather is grey and the lights are dim
Ther’ll be warmth, comfort and hope within.

Our parents become grand and siblings will grow
A new baby, the youngest, the highest low
First words, first steps great feats alone
A voice a walk our baby has grown.

After presenting to all of you the Catholic Children’s Bible in a previous article on TBTG website this week, today I would like to introduce another special Bible, but this one is for the grownups out there – for the more eager and experienced ones who would like to see detailed commentaries from the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) referenced in each of the Bible pages. Yes, we are going to talk about the The Didache Bible today.

What is Didache? First, let us talk about the name. What is Didache? The Didache meaning “Teaching” is the short name of a Christian manual compiled before 300AD. The full title is The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles. Didache contained instructions for Christian groups; and its statement of belief may be the first written catechism.

It has four parts: the first is the “Two Ways, the Way of Life and the Way of Death;” the second explains how to perform rituals such as baptism, fasting, and Communion; the third covers ministry and how to deal with traveling teachers; the fourth part is a reminder that Jesus is coming again, with quotations from several New Testament passages which exhort Christians to live godly lives and prepare for “that day.”

What makes The Didache Bible special? The Didache Bible presents extensive commentaries, based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church, for each of the books of the Holy Bible. The Didache Bible also includes numerous apologetic inserts to assist the reader in understanding the Church’s teachings on current issues.

After publishing the books of The Didache Series, Midwest Theological Forum set out to fill a need for a Catholic edition of Sacred Scripture with explanatory and apologetic commentaries based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The publication of the Didache Bible, based on these principles, fulfills the desire of Pope St. John Paul II as expressed in his Apostolic Constitution Fidei Depositum:
“The Catechism of the Catholic Church . . . is a statement of the Church’s faith and of catholic doctrine, attested to or illumined by Sacred Scripture, the Apostolic Tradition and the Church’s Magisterium. I declare it to be a sure norm for teaching the faith. (no. IV)”

The Didache Bible is a valuable resource for students and those participating in Scripture studies. Ideal for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith and intended to be accessible by all Catholics in its level of scriptural scholarship.

  • Available in the Ignatius Bible Edition (Revised Standard Version, Second Catholic Edition)
  • Features 27 full-color biblical maps, including the journeys of Jesus Christ
  • More than 100 apologetic explanations that help to answer common questions about the faith
  • Includes a comprehensive, 43-page glossary and a topical index

Please checkout this pdf preview of the Didache Bible.

How to buy The Didache Bible online You have multiple ways to get your hands on this super special study Bible. One of them is to go to the official website itself of Midwest Thelogical Forum Bibles section and order the Holy Book from there. Another option is to buy it from Amazon shopping portal itself by going to The Didache Bible On Amazon.

Help is indeed needed for all humans to understand the Holy Bible in a better way. We minions in our own small wisdom will find it very difficult at times to really understand the inner deep meaning of various scripture passages. That is where relevant commentaries based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church (with page references made to CCC for those who have time to read up the relevant CCC portion fully) will become a great blessing to anyone using the Didache Bible.

Ok, so we messed up. We did it once again, that same repeating sin of ours. Or even worse, we went a little further this time to commit a more serious sin against God and Men. What next? Do we simply live in guilt, in that remorseful mood? As the new trend of this latest young generation, we even see people going so far as to even think of ending their own life, the life on which only GOD has the power, the life which started not by us choosing it which simply means we don’t also get to choose when to end our life. If you have sinned or done a mistake, don’t be a Judas, be a Peter!

Greatest Repentance Prayer from Bible Look into our Holy Book – the BIBLE. You can see someone who has been in a very similar situation. David the King commits adultery with Bathsheba. To conceal his iniquity, David also does proxy murder. Very serious sins indeed. Finally when prophet Nathan opens up his mind to these grievous sins done by him, what this results in is Psalm 51 : A Prayer for Forgiveness.

Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.

For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.
Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight;
so you are right in your verdict
and justified when you judge.
Surely I was sinful at birth,
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb;
you taught me wisdom in that secret place.

Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
Hide your face from my sins
and blot out all my iniquity.

Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
so that sinners will turn back to you.
Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
you who are God my Savior,
and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.
Open my lips, Lord,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;
you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart
you, God, will not despise.

May it please you to prosper Zion,
to build up the walls of Jerusalem.
Then you will delight in the sacrifices of the righteous,
in burnt offerings offered whole;
then bulls will be offered on your altar.

Commentary on Psalm 51 No one is perfect. Everyone sins. When we do something that we know is wrong, we have ugly feelings. We feel sad, guilty and ashamed for disobeying God. We want to make things right again. So we need God to forgive us. Psalm 51 can help us ask for God’s forgiveness after you have sinned. It is a prayer admitting our sins and asking God to give us a clean heart.

We can tell God we are sorry for sin anytime at all. We also have the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation especially for the forgiveness of sins. In this sacrament we confess our sins to the priest. We hear the words of God’s forgiveness. We have peace and joy once again.

So what to do if you have sinned? Next time, you know exactly how to ask God for forgiveness to your sin. Please note that this prayer and the sacrament will all be more meaningful only if you have approached the same person against whom you have sinned and asked for his/her forgiveness and maybe, if possible, help them in ways by which you can somehow reverse the damage or at least a part of the damage you have caused to them due to your sins. May God bless you all.

Dear Father,

I know you see your beloved one, your beloved son gazing for the first time into the eyes of a little soul who will one day call him daddy. I know you see him and rejoice with him as tears brim in his eyes and as he holds that little one close and as his heart expands in every direction. I know you see how he tenderly brushes his newborn’s cheeks with just the tips of his fingers and plants soft, gentle kisses on baby’s forehead. I know you see how he marvels that the tiny being whose kicks he used to see bump up and down from his wife’s belly is here, is touchable, tangible, real. Thank you for giving him this sweet, sweet gift that suddenly puts the whole world into perspective.

I know you see your son as he tries his hardest to be a good partner for his wife in these early days. I pray that you can equip him to be her strength – physical and emotional – as she navigates through the labyrinth of postpartum recovery. Fill him with supernatural patience, kindness, and understanding as he sees a side of his wife, his new mama-bear wife, that he has never known before now. Give him endurance through the long nights and the ability to encourage his wife in just the right way. Equip him to be her biggest cheerleader.

Dear God give your son everything he needs to parent this child’s unique heart. Maybe this baby will grow up to be just like him – same interests, same vices, same personality bents. But if this child is very different, give him a heart that desires to know this little one and what makes them tick, what makes their heart sing, what fills their eyes with tears. Set his heart ablaze with exactly all the ways he needs to customize his life’s approach to parent this little one’s heart. Help him to see just how important it is to be a safe place for that child’s heart to land.

I pray that this man will be the best father he can be to this new little one. I pray that he will draw from the goodness in all the strong male figures he has known and be the best version of himself for this little person. I pray that he will not be discouraged if his own father did not lead well or live worthy of emulation, but that he will know he can walk apart from what he saw growing up. I pray that he knows that he can look to You as the ultimate example of a strong, just, loving, and sacrificial father. Equip him to be the father he desires to be, the one his child needs him to be.

I pray Lord that you would give him the humility to recognize that, apart from you, he cannot lead his family well. I ask that he would seek what is best for his wife and child through prayer, through wise counsel, and through what You reveal as he spends time in Your word. Father, you tell us that your word will never return void and so I pray that this man will fill his mind with your truths, with the scriptures that will be the very sword with which he will battle the enemy, the one who seeks to swallow his family up into the darkness of this world. Motivate him and equip him to build his paternal foundation on the solid rock that will not be moved.

Father God, the world tells us that more and bigger and busy is better. Give your son the wisdom to know when to say no to more work hours, to more activities, to one more night out with the guys. Give him wisdom and discretion with his time because babies don’t keep. And give him wisdom and discretion with his finances for the good of the future of his sweet new baby and dear wife. Equip him with eyes to see that sometimes, oftentimes, small, quiet, and modest are the best ways to live.

And, above all Father, in this broken world that is cruel and unforgiving at times, give this new daddy comfort in what your Child has given so that his child can be promised an eternity of perfection and peace. Give this father faith and trust in you, that you have a plan for his baby, and one that guarantees the title of “best.” Help him to live in a way that is mindful of the life after life so that it can be modeled for this child in his care. Give him eyes to live in light of eternity and let all the peripherals to fall into perspective because of it.

I pray these things in your Son’s name, Amen.

Father, I thank You for filling my womb with life. I know this precious little baby comes from You and has been destined by You from the beginning of the world. I thank You for this miracle growing inside me, in the “secret place” of my womb. I thank you that You are giving this little baby to us as a gift, but also as a gift for the world. We can’t wait to see another image of Yourself come forth into this world and the plans You have for this child.

We ask you, Father, in Jesus’ name, to hedge our little baby about with Your mighty protection. Watch over this little one each day as You intricately create him/her in the hidden sanctuary of the womb. We ask for Your divine health and that you will sustain me in good health and vitality throughout this whole pregnancy.

I ask that You will fill me with Your joy and that everyone will see the glory of God upon me as I nurture this precious life within me. Thank You again for this amazing miracle and for giving us an eternal soul that will live forever. It is awesome to think that I am part of something eternal.

I pray that You will keep this baby growing in the womb until full term and this baby will come forth in Your perfect timing.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Remember that your presence is a present to the world.

Remember that you are a unique and unrepeatable creation.

Remember that your life can be what you want it to be.

Remember to count your blessings, not your troubles.

Remember that you’ll make it through whatever comes along.

Remember that most of the answers you need are within you.

Remember those dreams waiting to be realized.

Remember that decisions are too important to leave to chance.

Remember to always reach for the best that is within you.

Remember that nothing wastes more energy than worry.

Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.

Remember that the longer you carry a grudge, the heavier it gets.

Remember not to take things too seriously.

Remember to laugh.

Remember that a little love goes a long way.

Remember that a lot goes forever.

Remember that happiness is more often found in giving than getting.

Remember that life’s treasures are people, not things.

Remember that miracles still happen.

The most powerful devotional song in my life is Spirit of God, Rain Down song written by Nelson Jose Chundayil in 2003. Each time you hear this song, with your eyes closed, seeing yourself standing in the rain of HIS Holy Spirit, you get those blessed goosebumps all over your body. Do listen in…

Lyrics Spirit of God, come down
Spirit of God, rain down
Spirit of God, come into my heart
Spirit of God, rain down

Let your power fall on me
Oh Spirit of God
Fall fall on me
Spirit fall on me (2)

I pray you Rain down, down, rain down
In my life you Rain down, rain down…
Spirit of God Rain down, down, rain down
In my life you Rain down, rain down…

Spirit of God, come down
Spirit of God, rain down
Spirit of God, come into my heart
Spirit of God, rain down

Let your power fall on me
Oh Spirit of God
Fall fall on me
Spirit fall on me (2)

I pray you Rain down, down, rain down
In my life you Rain down, rain down…

She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[a] because he will save his people from their sins. – Matthew 1:21

The name is related to the Biblical Hebrew form Yehoshua which is a theophoric name first mentioned in the Bible in Exodus 17:9 referring to one of Moses’ companions and his successor as leader of the Israelites. This name is usually considered to be a compound of two parts: Yeho, a theophoric reference to YHWH, the distinctive personal name of the God of Israel, plus a form derived from the Hebrew triconsonantal root “to liberate, save”.

As stated above, Jesus means Savior. When you hear the word savior, please keep in mind that there is no one else in this world who does this better than Jesus. Even when there seems to be 72 names of Jesus, this particular meaning which depicts Him as a special savior who saves us from our guilt of sin, by cleaning us in HIS own atoning blood. He soaks our hearts and minds in the Holy sanctifying spirit. He gives us the blessing to move more and more away from worldly pleasures and come more close to the GOD Almighty. He will save them from all the consequences of sin, when He shall give them a glorious body at the last day.

When you hear the name Jesus Have you ever wondered what comes first to your name when you hear or read the word Jesus at any point of the day in your busy daily schedule? Is it that most urgent pressing need or prayer request you had been submitting to him each day and night? Is it the next not-so-urgent request you want to place before his feet to get this blessings and proceed further? Or is it gratitude and thankfulness to your Creator, your GOD, which is Jesus himself.

Any mention of this word to me during a day – JESUS – makes me think about my Creator, my GOD and his immense blessings which he has already bestowed upon me and my family, which he is continuing still for all of us on a daily basis. I firmly believe that thankfulness , that gratitude towards our GOD Jesus Christ should ideally be the very first emotion running through our hearts and minds when we hear that magical and powerful name – “Jesus”.

This does not in any way mean that we should not be having our own personal prayer requests and wishes to raise in front of our Creator — but that attitude of Gratitude is first and foremost in my view. Our prayers – our requests – all should definitely be raised in his feet only after that immediate feeling and emotion of gratitude and thankfulness and love towards our almighty GOD. The Song of Solomon describes the experience of many, when it says, “Your name is oil poured forth” (Song of Solomon 1:3). Happy is the person who trusts not merely in vague notions of God’s mercy and goodness, but in “Jesus.”

Yeshua – The Hebrew Name of Jesus The Hebrew word “Yeshua” means salvation. It is one of the names of God. It is only with this understanding that we recognize Jesus’ Hebrew name, Yeshua, throughout the Old Testament. Jesus in Hebrew is “yeshua,” which means salvation.

Oh, that the salvation (Yeshua) of Israel would come out of Zion! (Psalm 14:7)

Let those who love Your salvation (Yeshua) say continually, “The LORD be magnified! (Psalm 40:16)

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation (Yeshua) and sustain me with a willing spirit. (Psalm 51:12)

The Power of the name Jesus How powerful is the name of Jesus Christ? Most of us are well aware how the demon, the devil, fears the all powerful name of Jesus. And even more than that the healing power this name holds is immense. Why is this name so powerful? Jesus really did what the meaning of His name is, He saved us. By being faithful to the task given to Him, humbling Himself, even becoming obedient to the point of death and volunteering to die for the sins of many, God exalted Jesus Christ by giving power to the name of Jesus Christ.

Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. — John 14:13-14

Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full. — John 16:24

How To Resist Temptation

He suffered and He died for you
An agonizing death on a rugged cross
Tortured and crucified for you
To save the sick, the lonely and the lost

Black hearted Pilate washed his hands in a dish of delph
It could have been in blood as much as in water
For he may as well have nailed Jesus to the cross himself
It was he who gave the fatal order

They surrounded Him in the dark of night
Armed guards with torches aglow
The crowds milled expecting a fight
But Jesus said, “It is I you seek, let the others go”.

They took Him before Caiaphas where the leaders were grim
In the seat of the Sanhedrin, supposedly a just place
There they taunted Him and spat on Him,
And struck His Holy face.

On His Head a crown of black thorns they did add,
Their tips dipped in a deadly poison
A practice that could drive ordinary men mad,
As the Blood of Christ turned those tips to crimson

The mass of bleeding tissue was revealed
As ruthless Romans scourged again and again
Strips of skin were torn and peeled;
But not even once did Jesus complain

They mocked and insulted
They ripped the cloak from blood congealed
They pierced His Hands and His feet
His back was like a furrowed field,

When they nailed Him to that cross,
They nailed our sickness and our sin
They nailed your pain and your loss
So you would learn the Kingdom of God is within

His friends who loved Him looked up and cried
The sky darkened and clouds gathered as if nightfall
When Jesus looked down at the mob, just before He died
His Heart of Love still forgave them all

He had created the very wood and also the nails
And even the merciless men who drove them through
Despite the leather whip with it’s leaded tails
He pleaded, “Forgive them Father; they know not what they do”.

They took Him from the cross and gave Him to His Mother,
She cradled and she held this Blessed Fruit of her womb
She cried for her baby that once she lay in a manger
But now she prepared to lay her baby in a tomb.

However three days later the impossible happened
And Mary’s pierced heart was healed
She screamed with Joy as the tomb was opened
Jesus had defeated death, to all it was revealed.

He had endured and He had triumphed, this story is true
How He dispelled the darkness for the golden light of day
And He would suffer it all over again, even if for only you
So that you too can live again in a most abundant way

Who is this faithful man who now holds out His Hand?
This man who is always honest, always true
Who speaks to pain and misery and it’s forever banned,
He’s the one who will never leave or forsake you

You may not know Him yet but He knew you before you were born,
He knows everything about you, your strength and your frailties
He loved you in the womb, before you were even formed
And He will love you forever, and through all eternities

John 3:16
For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Reasons To Pray

In the beginning God made the heavens and earth, dividing darkness from light;
He made the bright sun for the day and the moon and stars for the night.

He separated the sky from the land and separated the land from the seas;
God crafted every kind of flower, each plant and all the beautiful trees.

Every animal, creature, fish and bird was God’s very own design;
All were able to reproduce offspring of their same kind.

Next, He made a man named Adam, and Eve, a woman to be Adam’s wife;
God loved them, talked to them and provided all they needed for life.

He told them to eat the fruit from trees for they were luscious and sweet;
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they were forbidden to eat.

They were free to choose to believe God and do as He said;
Or they could defy Him and do as they pleased instead.

Then Satan disguised himself as a snake to deceive them with his twisted lies;
He told them if they ate that fruit they would become like God, all knowing and wise.

Everything changed when Adam and Eve chose to trust the lying snake;
Giving into temptation and eating the forbidden fruit was a huge mistake.

They tried to hide from God because they felt fear and shame;
They knew they messed up, but neither would accept any blame.

Then they were banished from the beautiful garden knowing pain and sorrows;
For evil would cause trouble for their days and worries for their tomorrows.

Now in order to have food and protection they would have to labor and sweat;
Their lives would be very difficult filled with pain, sadness, and regret.

All because they chose to believe Satan with his scheming lie;
They brought sin into the world, now they were destined to die.

God said a descendant of Eve would crush the snake’s head one day;
He had a plan to save His children and He would provide the way.

God would never allow Satan and evil to have victory in the end;
Therefore Jesus Christ is the Savior that God had planned to send.

So as the descendants of Adam and Eve multiplied, so did corruption and sin;
Evil and wickedness grew more rampant as God’s patience wore thin.

The corruption had perverted real love and had torn values apart;
This was an abomination to God and deeply grieved His Holy Heart.

Noah and his family stood out and found favor in God’s eyes;
He walked with God as he was upright, blameless and wise.

God gave Noah specific instructions to build the ark, a gigantic boat;
Because a great flood was coming, he would have shelter that could float.

When Noah, his family and a pair of each kind of animal were aboard;
They were kept safe from all harm as it rained and it poured.

It rained continually for 40 days and 40 nights before the sky became clear;
God said the whole earth would never flood again and made the first rainbow appear.

Once the waters receded and dry land could be seen;
Civilization could start over again all fresh and clean.

Then again mankind increased forming many new nations;
God watched and guided His people with love and with patience.

God used many different prophets to communicate His plans and His ways;
As well as His promises and warnings to live wisely through all our days.

We can believe God’s warnings and promises, every word proves true;
All that He says He will accomplish, we can trust He is certain to do.

God has given us commandments and other vital information;
So we can know what He loves and what He sees as an abomination.

He offers us truth and wisdom as it is written in the Bible;
God wants us to know and love Him, not worship any idol.

God does not leave it for us to decide who He is or define what is good;
He has given us all we need to know so He must not be misunderstood.

So many times God’s people would ignore Him and forget about their Lord;
Then in desperation turn back to Him, repent, and the relationship was restored.

God gives grace and blessings to those who are meek and humble;
And He opposes the proud and arrogant so they will always stumble.

The Bible has stories of those who have trusted God and those who have not;
With details about love, miracles, deceptions and wars that have been fought.

We read about so many times God used what was evil to turn it to good;
He looks after those who are devoted to Him and do right as they should.

So just as God had promised, He would send a Savior to the Earth;
The Scriptures written foretold of His coming with details of His birth.

It was told where He would be born as well as His ancestral line;
Sent from God the Righteous King would be completely Divine.

An angel told Mary that she would be the one;
To give birth to God’s Child, His Only Begotten Son.

He had powers no one had ever seen, nor did they understand;
He performed great miracles with just the touch of His hand.

Jesus was a compassionate teacher and showed us pure love;
He taught us about Heaven and God the Father above.

He could control all of nature, even the wind and the seas;
He was able to cure any ailment as well as heal any disease.

Jesus was holy and sinless, He never even told a lie;
But He was mocked and beaten, then crucified to die.

He was God, as a Man, to His last dying breath;
Then He rose from the dead with His power over death.

Jesus came into the world to seek and save the souls of the lost;
The price was mighty high, He willingly paid the full cost.

He was a humble servant; He gave his life as a ransom for many;
Because He loves us all so much, He does not want to lose any.

Jesus took our sins and our punishment in agonizing strife;
So that we could be reconciled with God and have everlasting life.

Nothing has been so miraculous as Jesus’ birth, life and resurrection;
For God’s plan to redeem a fallen world is complete and utter perfection.

There is so much more written in the Bible, God’s amazing story;
Jesus will come again to the Earth in all His power and glory.

Because Satan, the deceiver, still causes so much upheaval;
Jesus will destroy him forever and put an end to every evil.

Then there will be no more pain, no more suffering, never again any war;
Jesus will establish His Kingdom and reign over all forevermore.

The new earth will be filled with beauty and splendor to be a glorious place;
God’s people will live in paradise forever because of His amazing grace.

Jesus was the one God had promised, He fulfilled each and every prophecy;
He said “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me”

God is pure love and perfection, we all fall short and we stray;
Yet He will accept us through Jesus, it is the only possible way.

It is not dependent on your own goodness, good works or your merit;
It is all because of the righteousness of Jesus that you can inherit.

God is faithful to accept you no matter what wrongs you have done;
When you put your faith in Jesus Christ, His Holy Righteous Son.

Jesus is the Lord and Redeemer who is merciful and just;
You receive His eternal joy and peace when in Him you fully trust.

He is a loving friend to those who are lonely and gives strength to the weak;
He offers comfort to those who mourn and He blesses those who are meek.

If you do not understand and believe all this is true;
Just talk to God and ask Him to reveal His truth to you.

Don’t discount His message without checking it out;
Look for truthful answers and pursue all doubt.

Wisdom and understanding grow through The Bible when you read and hear it;
The more you know and love God, the more you are filled with the Holy Spirit.

Those who belong to God have His Spirit inside;
They long to follow His ways and with Him they abide.

The Holy Spirit gives understanding, inspiration and correction;
As well as guidance, help and right thinking in reflection.

God reveals Himself magnificently for everyone to see;
No excuse will be acceptable if you settle for unbelief.

Don’t let yourself be fooled by the lying, scheming snake;
Disregarding or ignoring God would be your biggest mistake.

If you look for God and search for truth, you’re sure to find;
Apart from Jesus, there is no other hope for saving mankind.

To seek and know God is the real purpose you are here;
Once you know and love Him, you have nothing to fear.

When you put your trust in Jesus and know your faith is true;
Nothing or no one can destroy it or ever take it away from you.

There is no scheme of Satan nor any plot of man;
That could ever disrupt or stop God’s almighty plan.

God bless you and keep you as you talk with Him each day;
Love God with all your heart and soul and He will light your way.

Then let your light shine as you glorify God just as Christ has shown;
Walk in His love knowing He is with you always and you are never alone.

In the silence
my soul screams

And Noise of
the clamoring world
Is deaf to my soul

Let it be free
To feel
To know

To be what it is
Without outward sounds
To dilute its purity

Silence
as beauty

Silence
as a tragedy

Silence
of being

Silence
of knowing

Silence
of regret

Silence
of consent

Silence
of peace

Silence
of stillness

And reverence
And conformity

Silence in Him
speaking to me

As good as I listen
will I hear.

Once upon a time, there lived a loving husband and wife, happy in their own small world – John and Maria. John was a busy business person but he always tried to make time for his own family. They both lived a happy life.

After a very busy big week, John asked his wife how about going out to dine on that weekend – to deviate from their usual busy days of professional life. But Maria said she has already made plans for weekend housecleaning and maybe they will do this on some other day.

Two weeks later, Maria asked John if they can go out to the city on that day evening at 5pm to roam around. John readily agreed and promised to come back to home by 5pm that evening to take out Maria to the city to spend the evening in a beautiful way. While John left the house in the morning, Maria reminded him that he also needs to buy medicines for her on his way back home. John made a mental note of this too in his mind.

The busy day for John started at his office as usual. But he was always remembering his word to Maria that he will be back by 5PM that day to take her out to city. He got out early from his office and soon went to the doctor to take her medicines.

On seeing the long queue, John quickly jumped the queue and reached the counter to seek an urgent appointment. When he was finally seated before the doctor, the doctor asked him what made him jump the queue to come to him so quickly. John replied to the doctor that he had promised to his wife that he will be at home that day by 5pm , so he had to hurry indeed.

Doctor asked him then about the medicine he needs for his wife and John revealed that his wife is suffering from alzheimer’s disease. Hearing this, the doctor was both confused and furious. He screamed at John saying “So you jumped the queue to reach home on time – the time you had promised to your wife who has alzheimer’s disease – and due to that she would never even remember that you had promised to her that you will reach home today at 5PM.”

To this, John paused and took a moment and then replied “I know clearly that she wont ever remember that I promised to her to reach home today by 5PM, due to her disease. But still, that doesn’t change the fact that I had given her my word that I will be there at her side today by 5PM at home for the evening outing which we both had planned. I would never break my promise with her, even if she is able to verify it later or not. It’s me who gave my word and I would never break my vow.”

Thoughts This is a great story which tells us how important are our vows or promises that we give to others, be it our life partner or to someone else. We all tend to keep our word or promise to someone just because of our fear of the repercussions that will arise if we have not fulfilled our promises or vows. And here we have in this story, a husband who is so keen to keep his word to his life partner even when he fully knows that she will never find out that he has broken his word due to her special condition.

Think deeply on this topic. Are you keeping your vows? Are you keeping your word to your business partner or life partner? Even when they have no chance to verify that you have indeed taken the action that you have promised to them?

BE A MAN OF HIS WORD.

Hi All TBTG Readers,

We are writing this new article to let you know about an important change we have done today to the TurnbackToGod (TBTG) website feed and the feed subscriptions, even to those 23K+ email subscribers we already had. You all who were email-subscribed to TBTG website should be getting new post emails not from the old Google Feedburner but from the highly advanced Follow.It platform.

If you are still not subscribed to TBTG feed or new post notifications, click here.

That is the short story. If you are busy and don’t want to read further on a non-religious topic, you can close the page now. But if you want to know why we did this change now, please read on.

Why Follow.It instead of Google Feedburner For all those who are wondering why we ditched Google Feedburner now to go with the best Feedburner alternative, please understand that Feedburner is the one who stopped services to start with. This was way back almost one year ago. (Yes, sorry – we are late to do this change, we agree.)

For some time, our admin team had been searching for the best Feedburner replacement option available online for free but which can support the 23K+ and even more email subscribers who will be becoming loyal email subscribers of TBTG in future also. Our search ended when one of my colleagues and close friend suggested Follow.It to us this week.

grant that through the passion, death, and resurrection of your son
they may share in the joy of your heavenly kingdom and rejoice in you with your saints forever.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

For Families and Friends Left at Home O God, Protector of all people and nations,
protect my family and friends at home from the violence and evil of others.
Keep them safe from the weapons of hate and destruction
and guard them against the deeds of evildoers.
Grant them your protection and care in tranquility and peace.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.

On the Eve of Battle God of power and mercy,
maker and love of peace, to know you is to live, and to serve you is to reign.
Through the intercession of St. Michael, the Archangel,
be our protection in battle against all evil.
Help me (us) to overcome war and violence
and to establish your law of love and justice.
Grant this through Christ the Lord.

For Hope in the Midst of Destruction God of mercy,
you know the secrets of all human hearts,
for you know who is just and you forgive the repentant sinner,
hear my prayer in the midst of destruction; Give me patience and hope,
so that under your protection and with you as my guide,
I may one day be reunited with my family and friends in peace, tranquility, and love.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.

Prayer for Officers in Command God and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ,
hear my prayer for these soldiers under my command,
grant that I may bring the spirit of Christ to all my efforts and orders
as I exercise my authority over those entrusted to my care.
Inform my judgment with your Holy Spirit so that I may make decisions
in conformity with your law and for the common good.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.

For Fellow Combatants Lord God,
remember Christ your Son who is peace itself
and who has washed away our hatred with His blood.
Because you love all men and women, look with mercy on all who are engaged in battle.
Banish the violence and evil within all combatants
so that one day, we may all deserve to be called your sons and daughters.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.

For the Innocent Victims of War Lord God,
your own Son was delivered into the hands of the wicked, yet he prayed for his persecutors
and overcame hatred with the blood of the Cross.
Relieve the sufferings of the innocent victims of war;
Grant them peace of mind, healing of body, and a renewed faith in your protection and care.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.

Prayer for Refugees and Victims of War Lord God,
no one is a stranger to you
and no one is ever far from your loving care.
In your kindness, watch over refugees and victims of war,
those separated from their loved ones, young people who are lost,
and those who have left home or who have run away from home.
Bring them back safely to the place where they long to be
and help us always to show your kindness to strangers and to all in need.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.

The well-known British author Jack Higgins in one of his interviews was asked this question ‘What is it that you now know that you wish you had known when you were a young man?’ Jack Higgins did not think long and answered immediately ‘I wish somebody had told me then that when you get to the top there is nothing there!’

German tennis player Boris Becker after he had won his second Wimbledon title said in one of his interviews that the greatest struggle in his life was his battle with suicidal tendency. Can you imagine a man who had conquered his field of expertise uttering the fact that one of his greatest struggles was the struggle with suicide?

The loneliest moment in life is when you have experienced that which you thought would be the ultimate pleasure and it has let you down.

Now let us ponder upon certain questions that arises.

Is it possible to be a totally fulfilled human being without violating the laws of God?

Is it possible to be a disciplined man without crossing the boundary lines that God has set as the blue print for each of us? And if so, what does that kind of human being look like?

Life of Prophet Daniel A character study of the Old Testament Prophet Daniel will help us to draw some principles from his life that will enable us to draw the lines in the right places so that you can be a disciplined man in whom and through whom God does His works.

The Word of God in the Book of Daniel Chapter 1: 1-8 says

1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it.

2 And the Lord delivered Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, along with some of the articles from the temple of God. These he carried off to the temple of his god in Babylonia and put in the treasure house of his god.

3 Then the king ordered Ashpenaz, chief of his court officials, to bring into the king’s service some of the Israelites from the royal family and the nobility—

4 young men without any physical defect, handsome, showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king’s palace. He was to teach them the language and literature of the Babylonians.

5 The king assigned them a daily amount of food and wine from the king’s table. They were to be trained for three years, and after that they were to enter the king’s service.

6 Among those who were chosen were some from Judah: Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah.

7 The chief official gave them new names: to Daniel, the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abednego.

8 But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way.

The Plight of Israel About a thousand years before Daniel had come on the scene, God had delivered the nation of Israel from bondage in Egypt into the promise land. That Journey could have been a very short journey. But God took them through that wilderness experience for forty years so that they will learn three of the most important lessons in life. Firstly, Humility. God wanted them to be able to look into their own hearts and see their heart as He see it. Secondly, God wanted to teach them spirituality so that they will know that man would not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeded from the mouth of God. Thirdly, Faith. So that as they wandered in the wilderness for four decades, He took care of all their needs and never left them desolate.

But the nation as it settled in the promised land had lost the three precious truths that God taught them through that wilderness experience for forty years and are in bondage again to the Babylonian king. The king made it a specific task to select the most able bodied and minded young men from Judah to bring them to the palace to be able to be re-programmed by giving them a new kind of literature, a new kind of language, a new system of values, a new way to think and he took the best of them. The Bible narrates the story of at least four of them. Daniel and the three friends that he had.

Three Lessons from Daniel Now let us understand the principles Daniel espouse and we will see how the King recognized that there was something extra-ordinary about this young man.

The first thing that the king tries to do was to soften them up, banqueting them, vining and dining them and here Daniel drew his first line. He drew his line of resistance by training his appetites. He told the King to give him a meagre diet and he will be happy and content with that. Daniel gives us a very significant message here. We are responsible every day of our lives for training our hungers and training our passions. We are filled with hungers – physical hungers, emotional hungers, intellectual hungers, relational hungers, spiritual hungers and it is imperative that we train what we begin to enjoy in a disciplined way and shun what we know can get us softened up and lose us to the service of God. Daniel learned to resist it early enough so that he would not get trapped into the life style where he got used to these desires. How often we have put ourselves at risk spiritually when we do not draw the lines of our appetite and train them? It is important to draw the line of resistance by the training of our appetite.

Secondly, Daniel had clear dependence on GOD. When the King had a dream, he asked Daniel to interpret it. Daniel depended not on his learning to interpret the king’s dream. The fascinating thing about Daniel is that with all of his learning he knew exactly how limited his learning was that he needed to lean on God’s wisdom and not on his own philosophy and education. Education can give us knowledge but it is God that gives us wisdom upon that knowledge. In this era across the world, we see the increase of knowledge and understanding and yet we see the emptiness and the loneliness and the fragmentation of human life. We lost the wisdom to know how to live. We lost the ability to discern between good and evil. The Book of Proverbs says ‘Fear of Lord is the beginning of Wisdom’.

And finally Daniel had huge confidence in GOD. They tried to force him to choose between God and the king. Daniel chose to follow God no matter what happens. Daniel was not ready to bend his knees to a false God even if he were to be thrown into a lion’s den. He trusted GOD like anything.

Conclusion The Lines of resistance, dependence and confidence are those disciplines that mold us into the blue print that God has for us in our lives. When you draw these lines to become the Man of God, people will watch your good works and convictions and they will be drawn even more to our Heavenly Father. As we know, there are nations without wisdom where the lines are drawn in different places. Let us make a commitment now to draw our lines of resistance, dependence and confidence. May God use us to bring many people to cross the line to put their hand into the Hand of the living God.

Ephesians 5:21-25 — Submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.

1 Corinthians 7:3-5 — The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Hebrews 13:4 — Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

1 Corinthians 6:18 — Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.

Genesis 2:24 — Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, andthey shall become one flesh.

1 Corinthians 7:2 — But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.

Proverbs 5:18-19 — Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth, a lovely deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts fill you at all times with delight; be intoxicated always in her love.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 — For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God;

Matthew 5:28 — But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

1 Corinthians 6:18-20 — Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

1 Corinthians 7:5 — Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Colossians 3:5 — Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

Exodus 20:14 — “You shall not commit adultery.

1 Corinthians 6:13 — “Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”—and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

Proverbs 6:32 — He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself.

Romans 13:13-14 — Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 — Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:19-21 — Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 7:1-2 — Now concerning the matters about which you wrote: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.

1 Timothy 1:10 — The sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine,

Leviticus 20:13 — If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

Leviticus 18:22 — You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.

Ephesians 5:3 — But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.

Mark 7:20-23 — And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”

1 Thessalonians 4:7 — For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness.

2 Timothy 2:22 — So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

Job 31:1 — “I have made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I gaze at a virgin?

1 Thessalonians 4:3 — For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality;

1 Corinthians 6:12-20 — “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be enslaved by anything. “Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”—and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, “The two will become one flesh.” …

Romans 1:26-27 — For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

1 John 2:15-16 — Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world.

1 Thessalonians 4:4 — That each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor,

Genesis 1:28 — And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Galatians 5:19 — Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,

Romans 1:24-27 — Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

1 Corinthians 6:9 — Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,

Jude 1:7 — Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 — Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Genesis 1:27 — So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

1 Peter 2:11 — Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.

Titus 2:12 — Training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,

Matthew 5:27-30 — “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.

Song of Solomon 1:1-17 — The Song of Songs, which is Solomon’s. Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! For your love is better than wine; your anointing oils are fragrant;

Song of Solomon 4:13-16 — Your shoots are an orchard of pomegranates with all choicest fruits, henna with nard, nard and saffron, calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense, myrrh and aloes, with all choice spices— a garden fountain, a well of living water, and flowing streams from Lebanon. Awake, O north wind, and come, O south wind! Blow upon my garden, let its spices flow. Let my beloved come to his garden, and eat its choicest fruits.

Exodus 22:19 — “Whoever lies with an animal shall be put to death.

Genesis 4:1 — Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, “I have gotten a man with the help of the Lord.”

Romans 13:9 — For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

1 Corinthians 10:8 — We must not indulge in sexual immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in a single day.

Song of Solomon 7:7 — Your stature is like a palm tree, and your breasts are like its clusters.

Matthew 15:19-20 — For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a person. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.”

Deuteronomy 24:5 — “When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be liable for any other public duty. He shall be free at home one year to be happy with his wife whom he has taken.

Galatians 6:1-18 — Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. For each will have to bear his own load. …

2 Kings 23:7 — And he broke down the houses of the male cult prostitutes who were in the house of the Lord, where the women wove hangings for the Asherah.

1 Corinthians 7:9 — But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

1 Corinthians 6:19 — Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?

1 Kings 15:12 — He put away the male cult prostitutes out of the land and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.

Genesis 2:25 — And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.

2 Corinthians 12:21 — I fear that when I come again my God may humble me before you, and I may have to mourn over many of those who sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual immorality, and sensuality that they have practiced.

Revelation 21:8 — But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

Leviticus 18:23 — And you shall not lie with any animal and so make yourself unclean with it, neither shall any woman give herself to an animal to lie with it: it is perversion.

Ephesians 5:3-5 — But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

1 Corinthians 7:8-9 — To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is good for them to remain single as I am. But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

Numbers 31:17-18 — Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him. But all the young girls who have not known man by lying with him keep alive for yourselves.

Leviticus 18:20 — And you shall not lie sexually with your neighbor’s wife and so make yourself unclean with her.

1 Corinthians 10:13 — No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Titus 1:15 — To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled.

Leviticus 18:6-18 — “None of you shall approach any one of his close relatives to uncover nakedness. I am the Lord. You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, which is the nakedness of your mother; she is your mother, you shall not uncover her nakedness. You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife; it is your father’s nakedness. You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether brought up in the family or in another home. You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son’s daughter or of your daughter’s daughter, for their nakedness is your own nakedness.

Please watch the above 5min video clip which is world famous for the simple message it delivers so easily and clearly.

Seven year old Annabelle arrives for her first day at a new school wearing a home made rabbit mask but despite the gentle reassurance of kindly teacher, Mr Borbidge, her classmates are soon wondering what it is she’s hiding. When the class bully exposes her secret, it takes the empathy of a new friend to give her the courage to be seen, just the way she is.

On her first day at a new school, thus, a self-conscious young girl learns that friendship/empathy can transcend difference. A beautifully told tale of friendship, empathy, acceptance and solidarity for all ages.

Please Show Empathy Empathy is the capacity to feel another person’s feelings, thoughts, or attitudes vicariously. Empathy is related to sympathy but is narrower in focus and is generally considered more deeply personal. Compassion, sympathy and empathy all have to do with having passion (feeling) for another person because of his or her suffering. True empathy is the feeling of actually participating in the suffering of another.

The apostle Peter counseled Christians to have “compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous” (1 Peter 3:8, NKJV). The apostle Paul also encouraged empathy when he exhorted fellow Christians to “rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn” (Romans 12:15).

The apostle John asked, “If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?” (1 John 3:17). Pity in this verse is related to empathy, and both require action. As Christians we are commanded to love our neighbor and to have intense love for fellow believers (Matthew 22:39; 1 Peter 4:8). Though we intend to love one another, we often miss opportunities to relieve others’ pain. That could be because we are unaware of others’ needs; or perhaps we are not practicing empathy. Empathy is the key that can unlock the door to our kindness and compassion.

There are several examples of empathy in action in the Bible. Jesus was always sensitive to the plight of others. Matthew tells us how Jesus, “when he saw the crowds, . . . had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd” (Matthew 9:36). On another occasion, Jesus observed a widow about to bury her only son. Sensing her pain (the NLT says that Jesus’ “heart overflowed with compassion”), He approached the funeral procession and resurrected the young man (Luke 7:11–16). Having lived a human life, our Lord can and does empathize with all of our weaknesses (see Hebrews 4:15).

The word compassion describes the deep mercy of God. God is the very best at empathy: “He knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust” (Psalm 103:14). He personally feels the pain of His people: “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book” (Psalm 56:8, NLT). How comforting it is to know that God records all our tears and all our struggles! How good to remember God’s invitation to cast all our cares upon Him, “because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7)

Let us pray everyday to our Heavenly Father to bless us to be more empathetic towards everyone around us. Amen.

Happy New Year 2022 to all of you. We hope the Christmas and New Year eve was well spent by each one of you.

Looking back into the previous year On this new year eve, it is quite natural for us to take a step back and think about all the major happenings in our lives in the previous year. Did you get a chance to ponder on these below points when you do a quick flashback on the just-completed year?

  • Did the previous year bring you closer to our dear GOD or did you drift away from HIM?
  • How many times you got that chance to be the Good Samaritan last year?
  • Were you able to create many more beautiful memories with your family members last year?
  • From an academic or professional standpoint, how good or bad was the last year for you?
  • Did you try to venture out of your comfort zone and learn about something new in a new area or field?
  • Did you make more friends last year or did you actually lose some of those friendships?
  • On how many faces did you bring joy last year by helping them in ANY way?
  • How many books did you read in the last year? How many of them touched you so deep?

Preparing for the next year Are you one among those who constantly take up new year resolutions? If so, do you succeed in keeping them? Personally, I am not a big fan of new year resolutions. Change – a personal change – in my view shouldn’t wait for a new year eve to get implemented. If we have to look at some common improvement decisions we Christians make in our lives for the next year, what will be those? Let us take a look.

  • Increase our daily personal prayer time by at least 15min or 30min
  • Attend Holy Mass each single day
  • Find new and more effective ways to help others who really deserve it
  • Read at least two spiritual books each month in the next year
  • Find ways to spend at least 1 hour more daily with our family members (no mobile phone)
  • Use the TIME our Creator has given us more fruitfully and in better ways (no gossiping)

For thousands of years mankind waited for the coming of Christ; they longed for their King to arrive and free them from oppression. The Old Testament is full of prophecies, including this one from Isaiah 9. The Bible is full of Scripture pointing directly to the One who would save mankind from their sins. When Isaiah described His coming, he described His coming as an infant. But this child would grow and establish a Kingdom of righteousness forevermore. When we celebrate Christmas, we are celebrating the moment in history when prophecy was fulfilled. God came to be with us.

“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:5-11 (NIV)

This very act of humility and his choice to die on the cross is cause for bowed knees and lifted hands. I know the busyness of the season can cause time to fly and before we know it, the holiday has passed and we have forgotten to celebrate why we are celebrating it in the first place. But don’t get sidetracked—get perspective. Choose reverence and give honor where honor is due.

Take time this holiday season to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas by glorifying the One who gave it all. A child was born in humble circumstances and his sacrificial death reflected the same, however, both were significant for humanity. Without the death of Christ, salvation isn’t possible. So without His birth, neither is it possible. Jesus coming to Earth that night changed everything and it’s a moment we should celebrate with all our hearts.

“Christmas is most truly Christmas when we celebrate it by giving the light of love to those who need it most.” – Ruth Carter Stapleton

“Santa Claus is anyone who loves another and seeks to make them happy; who gives himself by thought or word or deed in every gift that he bestows.” – Edwin Osgood Grover

“Probably the reason we all go so haywire at Christmas time with the endless unrestrained and often silly buying of gifts is that we don’t quite know how to put our love into words.” – Harlan Miller

Lyrics: The Lord told Noah
There’s gonna be a floody, floody
The Lord told Noah
There’s gonna be a floody, floody
Get those children out of the muddy, muddy, children of the Lord

The Lord told Noah to build him an arky, arky
The Lord told Noah to build him an arky, arky
Build it out of gopher barky, barky, children of the Lord.

The animals, they came, they came in by twosies twosies
The animals, they came, they came in by twosies, twosies
Elephants and kangaroosie, roosies, children of the Lord

So, rise and shine, and give God the glory, glory
Rise and shine, and give God the glory, glory
Rise and shine, and give God the glory, glory
Children of the Lord

It rained and poured for forty daysies, daysies
It rained and poured for forty daysies, daysies
Almost drove those animals crazy, crazy, children of the Lord

The sun came out, and dried up the landy, landy
The sun came out, and dried up the landy, landy
Look! There’s the sun, it dried up the landy, landy
Everything was fine and dandy, dandy, children of the Lord

So, rise and shine, and give God the glory, glory
Rise and shine, and give God the glory, glory
Rise and shine, and give God the glory, glory
Children of the Lord

So, rise and shine, and give God the glory, glory
Rise and shine, and give God the glory, glory
Rise and shine, and give God the glory, glory
Children of the Lord

Wake up, greet the sun, and pray.
Burn cedar, sweet grass, sage—
sacred herbs to honor the lives weâ€ve been given,
for we have been gifted these ways since the beginning of time.

Remember, when you step into the arena of your life,
think about those who stand beside you, next to, and with you.
Your ancestors are always in your corner, along with your people.

When we enter this world we are born hungry,
our spirits long for us to live out our traditions
that have been passed down for generations.

Prayer, ceremony, dance, language—our ways of being.
Never forget you were put on this earth for a reason—
honor your ancestors.
Be a good relative.
