Rhys Darby, Dan Schreiber, David Farrier and 'Buttons' bring you The Cryptid Factor - a show dedicated to the weird and the wonderful, and in particular, Cryptozoology.
Hear the team passionately (and often awkwardly) discuss animals yet to be proven by science - like the Mongolian Death Worm, Chupacabra, Bigfoot, and the Loch Ness Monster. Though they take the pseudo-science as seriously as they can, they struggle to take themselves seriously at all.
Its hosts are comedian & actor Rhys Darby, respected television journalist and documentarian David Farrier, host of top rating podcast 'No Such Thing as a Fish' Dan Schreiber - and Pulling it all together is their best friend, 'Buttons'. If anything goes wrong, it is probably his fault.
“If doesn’t go wrong, you haven’t seen us”
Welcome back to the Cryptid Factor Live in Edinburgh - Night 3!
In this show you will find a man who has LITERALLY taken his life into his hands, plants evolving into musicians on San Pellegrino diets, eye ball yoga, stereotypical evil villains bringing giant birds back to life (Jurassic Park style), Rhys sounding fish that refuse to die, and whale threesomes to finish us off…

Night two of the Edinburgh Fringe and the boys put whole jail house of stories behind bars.
In this rebellious issue we have backstage gatecrashing, psychic attacks, deceitful leggy leaves, cryptid impersonators, historically resentful house pets, a poorly pulled-off coattail theory theft and the tiniest noisiest cat-erpillar to ever be eye-witnessed.
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Edinburgh Fringe couldn't keep us out if they tried! And trust us...they did.
Kicking their second run off with a wobbly blast, the trio find their feet with tales of swampy airport crotches, poles flipping out on Santa, UAPs coming to scope out Earth, High School teachers leaving their special marks, and a thief busted by book too good to run away from.

With Rhys exhausted from his seemingly endless UK standup tour - Buttons and Dan gallantly decide to do the heavy lifting this episode, and although a wonderful offer, it's not long before the weight becomes too much to bear... for us all!
In issue you’ll find giant courting caves, dead dog clouds (and pizza), endangered hotel wake up calls, black icebergs complete with lazy code, an old man walks with lions, revenge of the birds... and stinky skin rust. Naturally. Enjoy the weight

After the tangent filled 107 episode, It’s time for some top-tier tangent-free animal news! (With the disclaimer that 'tangent-free' excludes animal tangents - of which there are MANY!)
In this issue, we get answers to the burning questions that we never wanted the answers to, like which host is the funniest? Which host is most likely to survive in the wild? Who is most likely to tame a wild moose whist riding an ancient Moa? Obvious!
And, if you wade through this swamp of tangents long enough, you might just spot something that resembles content - such as a neck egg-laying giant snail, fresh Moose sightings in New Zealand, Mermaid’s purses spotted beneath an underwater volcano, Mouse Deer and Flying Squirrels going from extinct to extant as well as a Bigfoot eyewitness account thats fresh off the page!
Last and certainly least, theres a dog pushing their owner off a cliff, which leads to the world’s first ever live animal reenactment on a podcast! You don’t want to miss this one!

THIS IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
Please take note of the following warnings before proceeding into this issue.
TRIPPING HAZARD! Legendary 'Kappa' Hunter's flustered, loosey-goosey balls are rolling around freely in the streets of Japan.
BEWARE of Schreiber's Animal Husbandry! In light of animals now being able to talk to humans, please refrain from placing any hands on Dan's new LITERAL chick.
And REMINDER to check your call sheet number on today's episode of The Darby Truman Show (proudly brought to you by Name Brand cereal).
Also, in this disturbed issue, we have: murderous colleagues stranded in Antarctica, very quiet sounds in a Sasquatch hotspot (audiobook available now... please!), freshly generated footage of the morally questionable Mexican 'Chaneques' goblins, and a new three-day Bigfoot festival in Oregon—which hasn't even happened yet!
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Well well well, let’s all give a warm virtual welcome to TCF's newest host! He’s so switched on, it’s almost like he’s made for it.
Although, we have enough host action going on to keep us entertained with just our regular three: We have a time travelling child host coming back to cosplay as other hosts, a normal travelling host on a mission to coat tail another host, and a celebrity host and a not-so celebrity host meeting celebrity non-hosts, giving celeb-envy to another host…host hosty hosts!
In this flotilla of information you will sail past the first Loch Ness Monster sighting of 2025, adorable wooly mice created by a whole company of genetically engineered employees, national cheesy naan crazes, and World-Record breaking vegetables making some oddly familiar noises.
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
In this flourishing issue, take a gander into the Great Glasshouse, wear a sash in the Seat-less Storeroom and dive deep into a Devalued Diary!
At long last, Buttons reveals the tease of his personal proof of the afterlife and Darbs may actually be one of many Darbs. We have kayakers being swallowed by whales, celebrities and side kicks being harassed by ghost children in haunted ships, and Bigfoot hunts with ex-girlfriends causing dramas in divorce courts.
Turns out the FBI might be tapping into your phone line from the comfort of your mothers bedroom, and for the first time ever, we have animals doing perfectly normal things in places they should be...you don’t want to miss this one!

Many say Oarfish are an omen for disaster about to strike - Well consider yourself warned! In this chaotic episode we have Dan battling with psychic abilities, crocodiles mimicking drowning humans, overwhelming feelings of being a mermaid and AI (quite rudely) requesting all humans to die...promptly followed by AI romance!
A fresh new book idea is brewing which is fitting as it turns out we are in the midst of the World Smartest Man AND the Stephen Fry of New Zealand and to top it all off, who doesn't love a good cliff hanger?

We're Back!! Which in essence means the 'Buttons in the titles curse' is broken! (as long as you can actually hear this, that is). In this Xmas issue you'll find Hillary's backpack going on a lazy code expedition, ocean song curses continue, Bears do insurance fraud, a yellow brick road found at the bottom of the sea, spooky digital cryptids,Thai chickens eaten by baby-eating Krasue's, Darby discloses the Drone/UFO situation - and some other wonderful tit-bits! All this, as well as a very special guest - Steve Wriggly!

99!! At LAST!! it's the penultimate to the ultimate 100 issue - and as per usual it's full of epic craziness. In here the AI bot team wreak havoc in the background producing fake news, there's Kings in UFOs, bees in showers, secret sightings of an old Oasis, copyright threats from Bono and 99 bottles of Bigfoot casts on the wall. Also get ready for a super exciting revival of the age old segment 'Expedition Update' with the team from the hit TV show Expedition X. Jessica and Phil fill us in on their expedition to Loch Ness - as well as deal out some heart felt appreciation for the Cryptid Factor team's Nessie inspiration.
Enjoy!

Here we go again! In here you'll find a GI hunting for a costume, dead rockers in finger tattoos, vampire and bogeyman warfare, and monoliths found in the wild (yet again) Also you'll hear of self cloning mutant crayfish become old news and an eyewitness account of bad parenting. Enjoy!

This episode is for all the aliens and wave-chasing, space-travelling future Cryptid Knights out there! In here Dan has Druid news for Buttons and at last Rhys gets his very own (and very noisey) museum piece. There's news of a time-travelling Simpson, an elaborate intestine restaurant ruse, and a freaky human skinned robot face. There's also fish gazing at stars and alligators missing and found... oh, and some lovely sing-songs to remember peoples names by. Enjoy!
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
In this episode - Rhys is ahead of his time, Dan is listening to the band 'The Lip Slitsticks' and Buttons employs the 'Trisand' effect - making it highly likely that this will be the most listened episode ever! Also In here there's old men failing at reminiscing, Goonies Tridems, buried Mash, banned books on banned books, cheap top-secret Chinese military cartoons, free bee heaters, juvenile 'not-so-big' Bigfoot foot prints found, Turing test gets a pass, and the scariest sound of all time goes up against the loveliest sound of all time... and a Sasquatch caller!
P.S - An important message from Rhys' publicist "DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS EPISODE!!"

This episode has the team in their usual places... that is if you can count Buttons being somewhere unusual as usual. You'll find news of hidden microphones and camouflaged cigars, Ray Jay getting busy changing the fabric of time, Magical Banks getting full of tellers, underground dino-aliens from Harvard... along with lots of family Cameos! We also cover fake thylacines and yet another Nessie hunt! Enjoy!
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
SPECIAL ISSUE Rhys and Dan are in London - and take the opportunity to storm the secret studio of podcast cousins Rory and Kit from 'This Paranormal Life'. With Buttons dialed in, they catch up and cover off a great deal of usual weirdness, along with the unusual addition of some ghost stories! There's also time-traveling Albert Einstein and restaurants, dream-crashing men, Steven Speilberg stealing movie ideas, oh, and LOADS of Lazy Code!

In this epic episode we gain the second ever entry into the Cryptid Factor museum... a 135 million year old mystery! Also in here there's UFO wreckage being 'drug' out, a pigeon spy being detained, delayed phone calls being made from the dead, lemonade lazy code, a Thylacine musical, some OK ABC DNA proof and screen-shares within screen-shares! Also, speaking of ancient, we bring back the age old segment 'Noticeboard', only to promote a competitive cryptid museum... fail!
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Here we are again - in a scarily regular type fashion! In here theres there's your usual Schreiber wang-ons, Buttons blah-blahs & Darby breakdowns - but in amongst it all there's an ACTUAL EARTH RUMBLING! Also you'll find flying zombie salt shakers, flying spaghetti monsters, haunted swag dolls, Donald Duck call-ups, unlicensed cut-outs, mountain cover-ups, coat-tail ridings, quantum imaginary mates, cringy cameos and conscious shoes. Also we have a seemingly 'fresh' eye-witness account of a Squatch along with some massive Shaq-attack footprints!
TRIGGER WARNING For those of you who get easy triggered from excessive trigger warnings... this episode may not be for you!
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
...aaaaand we're back! This episode sees Hollywood, the UK coast and a dodgy basement come together to bring you: a Texan sized underwater model anomaly, an earthquake predicting doomsday fish, and SpiceGirl singing humpback whale helping humans talk to aliens! Theres also in-mate dating apps, time travelling thespians, vortex ship size guest appearances, alien language outboard motors, hunting permits for Sasquatch along with badly punctuated Bigfoot "sightings". Enjoy!
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Well, here we are in 2024 - and while we wait for Ep88 to become hot enough to drop... we have for you here the second recorded episode to be released first (in typical Cryptid Factor confused fashion!) In it you'll find news of disappearing towers, Uri Geller blowing his own mind by remembering he saw aliens, lots of bugs up a Florida mans nose, a big cat sighted in Scotland and a Big Foot running on the slopes. Also Rhys auditions to be a Frank Phantom, Dans has tales of optical illusions from his front yard, and Buttons is in Melbourne at his very own gun-show. Enjoy!!
TRIGGER WARNING We talk about bugs up a mans nose... and it's not very pretty.

In the last of the 'All Together in LA' series, Rhys kindly pops back from one of his many other dimensions to join a very tired Dan and Buttons in the task of stringing sentences together. In here you'll find an (almost) concise history of a Giant Rock and the people that lived under it, a dead Vampire lair dug up, a billionaire blood junkie, some taxidermied bird drones and some seagull and husband calling competitions. Also in fresh news - it turns out The Cryptid Factor is big in Belgium! Who'd have thought? Eet smakelijk!

Hot on the heels of the last old episode, this new old episode is jam packed full of ancient chat… mainly about Button’s ancient (and very legal) ayahuasca ceremony, some ancient tree breasts, and Dan correctly predicting how long it would take to get this ancient episode out. Outside of that hot mess, there’s also scantily-clad deer-lickers, excited Swiftie forgetfulness, ejaculating nets, Instant coffee TV ad premonitions, Big foot sightings with red-eye reductions, Wolverine infestations in California, and a reduced prize for Nessie proof. Also, get ready for an ayahuasca fuelled Button’s Theory Time that proves at last that we’re all in a simulation…Oooooh!!!
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The team are in Hollywood together and have organised a playdate with Oscar, Emmy and Grammy award winning film composer George Michael! (formerly known as Michael Giacchino). Also, seeing as Aliens won’t get out of the news of late, this is an Alien Special - with news of 8ft non-humans driving front-end loaders, loads of big UFO words in Congress, Highways performing cattle mutilations, a woman having hundreds of alien babies, UFO rodeos and teenage aliens stealing time travel machines to get cow tongues from the past for restaurants in the future. Also, Buttons gets his Theory scored… and let’s just say it didn’t get a 10/10. Enjoy!
Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
And we’re back! It’s been a long time since Mothers day, but it’s finally out! In here you’ll get some camouflage chaos, some screaming plants, and a tiny crypto-museum that gets huge ‘shribe-reveal’! We also got some box creature with too many eyes, a squatch safe zone, a giant killer tadpole and AI trying to kill the patty film buzz. Oh, and our old mate ‘Old Bond’ tries to make an expensive comeback… bless!
Prepare yourself for this one. Not only is it packed full of all your usual Mammoth Meatballs, Ketchup Elvis hunters, Turkey Claus, Wolf-Tang Clams, Roast Beef Mothman, Bigfoot bathing, Mothership full of Alien Drones and a terrified son of Buttons... but we also get a rare peek inside Rhys' head to meet all the characters that live in there and try to make it work... and fail! Oh, and Harvard Astrophysicist AVI LOEB joins us for a quick Galileo update, to exponentially raise the IQ level and to give Dan a quick roasting. Enjoy!
**This Ep is brought to you by Rax Roast Beef, Impossible Burgers, Beyond Burgers, Mammoth meatballs, Heinz Ketchup, BMW and Button's wife's App.
At last the world has a chance to hear Episode 82 - although will they really want to? Despite being filled to the brim with Bear faces on Mars, Mystery Sausages in mailboxes, Predictable Asparagus Fortune-tellers, an Eyewitness Account of a Mothman sighting (complete with homemade spooky music)... it's just... well, not great. You be the judge!
It's Christmas Eve and the team have managed to squeeze in one last session for 2022 - and despite Buttons trying to make this issue edit free to get it out for Christmas day... somehow edits became the main feature! In here we have for you a Cryptid Christmas Carol which sees Sasquatch Clause wreaking havoc. There's a UOP with a WWI Rocket up his de-militarised zone, nativity cows escaping down a river, a baby Nessie on a beach, a couple of bullsh*t ghosts trying to get into Cryptid Buzz, a pay-it-forward beer sponsorship scheme as well as a winning lottery number time-travelling intuition broadcast scheme. Oh, and almost forgot - an AI chatbot writes us a full movie script (complete with predictive movie posters) where we save the future with some Cryptid 'Factor'. Happy Holidays!
Well here we go again! This epically long 80th episode sees the Intro become an outro, Buttons Theory Time become a right royal tea-bagging, there’s a creepy UFV and a USV, Deadpool is busy killing fish, there’s a reincarnated octopus as a football fortune-telling ferret, there’s a hunt for a big bird, Jeremy the Sasquatch ghost clown has been spotted, Vocalisations makes a comeback… then there’s the christian rock-band and Bigfoot 911 call remix! Oh, and apparently Dan has a book out called ‘The Theory of Everything Else’ that he’s like you to subtly know about… Enjoy!
Music credit - Glorybox - Sonic Ocean
At last, you get to hear how the interruption was concluded! Was it worth the wait? Hmmmm, that's a tricky one. Are you into Krodel Park Shuttle services? Extant Tasmanian Tigers? Short-legged Bigfoot? Canoe hire taxidermy? Then perhaps it is! Also, Dan's book is out (Yay!) and Buttons revolts against Rhys' attempt to keep his editing to schedule. Hence the massive delay in getting this to you. Buttons!!
This incomplete issue is completely full of complete madness - including Nostradamus and his snow globes, Haunted books evaporating, Rumpology reports in, LA jetpack balloons, some Pulitzer surprises, a dead robot spider and Aliens going through trash caught on camera. Also, Dan writes Rhys's book of wisdom and Buttons records from his Moms (haunted) house. Total incomplete Madness - Part 2 to follow!
NB - Please excuse some dodgy audio from Rhys at the start!
This episode has one more Knob that usual - who finds himself in prison with Rhys! Also Dan gets his butt read and Buttons rides a horse in his past life. Theres also peanuts pushed up hills, old Japanese men doing not much and a time-traveler's warning of trap-doors. There's big 'plausible' Cryptid news thats got the team excited too!
NEW SEGMENT ALERT Fan Files! Where we lucky-dip-pick stories sent in from Fans. This inaugural segment sees Geese taken from the deep and Alien Big Cats on the beach!
Buttons and an exhausted Rhys are in Boston after his tour - so for this episode Rhys decides to take a back seat... or at least he tries to. But with Dan trying to chat to a tarot reading president's granddaughter, a seagull attacking a fishing coach, the NZ public watching poop, 2 x new moon craters, 2 x astrophysicists, lots more Stranger synchronicity Things and a 'That's a recap' and 'Buttons Fairy Time' squeezed in for good measure... I can't imagine Rhys will be in that back seat for long!
In here there's animals scared of fruit, UFO hunters hunting doors, Alien hunters (possibly) hearing signals from space and an old black knight that's a long way from hoooooome. Also Rhys has news of a dead giant tuna, Buttons is angry at a newspaper and Dan launches a mission to bring back an Australian Elephant man. Oh, and Henry Hotspur... you get some preemptive (and possibly unwanted) sponsorship!
In this issue Buttons gives his masterclass on padding - which is so good that even the internet takes up the skill. There's busy exorcists and satan himself rating apps, Mona Lisa gets cake on her face and Rhys gets a LinkedIn.
Also in this ep - Dolphins don't get memories from dolphin-piss, whales do get mistaken for monsters by showing their bits and Buttons don't want you to buy his old Alien book.
Oh, there's also some meagre scratchings at some Cryptid news too... but it's all pretty lame... but at least we're honest!
This issue is packed with synchronous happenings at the Erich Von Däniken and Sphinx Eyes magnitude! Buttons shares a long story about a short visit to a UFO symposium where he encountered a Loyal Brown Pet in a beat up Porsche. There's news of robot goo, robot goats and robot cryptid food deliveries.
Also - Rhys has reports of a Turkey sighting from a Squatch hunter, Dan's found a video of Cousin It pretending to be a hand-standing skunk and Buttons has exciting sports news!
Aaaaaaaaand we're back!!!
This episode begins with a recap on xmas presents then quickly moves onto old pubs closing, spoon benders PR attempts, artefacts found in ice caves in Antartica, fish driving cars and making 90's techno noises.... and hitchhiking dogs (allegedly).
Also, Rhys and Buttons make a plea to be adopted by Dans dreaming Dad, there's a tree swinging Aussie Dogman, a psychic Wimbledon Nessie, and a tiny-tiny Mothman. Enjoy!
**NB - This episode was originally recorded back in January 2022, but was thought to be lost to the ravages of bad audio (and bad organisation), but with the help of a wonderful Cryptid Knight (Shout out to Jen Jones!) it's alive!
**NB - This episode was recorded before the war broke out in Ukraine. Our thoughts go out to everyone affected by that tragedy.
Due to Buttons being busy having a southern hemisphere summer holiday, this Christmas special clearly is well late (which he apologies for profusely) but it's worth the wait - not least due to the amazing ____________1 as well as the ____________2! In here you'll find news on time travelers from Mars, theoretically Anthrax ridden conspiracy theorists and auto-replicating Pacman-esque xenobots made from frog cells... in a dish non the less! Also; some new Bigfoot footage from Georgia along with some old footage from a cowboy, alien bases below the ice, an expletive ridden speed sighting and a Jelly fish with 30ft mouth-arms... or is it arse-hands... you decide!
Welcome to Ep 70 where we try and 'choose our own adventure' through segments and end up picking a bad path. No doubt you'll find yourself just as confused and lost as we were. In the mess we somehow manage to cover multi-crash planes, almost crashed ISS space station, recaps on birds and marriages, a UK bigfoot and the hatching of decades old dormant underground shrimp eggs. Also, Dan levels-up to 'premiere grade' whilst Buttons levels-down to a 'back-sider'.
New Segment alert Weird animals doing strange things! (the animals are normal, what they do is weird). First episode covers Bovine hydro-slides and Possum kidnappers.... as in, it's the nasty possums doing the 'napping!!
We're back! After a long break from the shortest season ever (of 1 episode), we bring you EP 69 where you'll find a bunch of terribly challenging awards, hippos challenged to be human and a magic museum thats a challenge to find. There's also challenging news of Nessie sonars and Mamophants. To be quite honest though, the most challenged things in this ep are simply the three rusty hosts. Thanks for enduring this mess with us!
An incredible 'Schreiber Unveil' was meant to see this episode be all about the phenom of ‘Past Life Experiences’, but as per usual, we just couldn't stay on task - so now this episode also includes the art of 'No Blink' and 'Light Cry' acting, Coast Guards with hamster wheel problems, and experts who will never reply to Buttons ever again. Oh, and some zombie fish and stolen penises thrown in for good measure.
Enjoy the extra 30mins it took to get that all in!
Ep 67 has some great finds in it - Dan finds the Alien Sex capital of the UK, Rhys finds a nazi tank in a basement, and Buttons finds the elevator service hut in Superman's Building. We also shoe-horn in a Jet-pack Re-cap, a Fairy/Theory Time, a Rapisode Sandwich and a Sci-fi Robot Rangers Prequel - before the 'quel' is even quelled!
In this ramshackled episode, Rhys fails to deliver Rapisodes, Dan fails in health and Buttons fails to be articulate. Also you'll find a kidnapped Nanna raised by Monkeys, AI Robots meeting Aliens, and Elon predictions from 1953. Also a Bigfoot crossing a river carrying a deer or two babies and a big(ish) cat let loose by a pig buddy. Enjoy!
Welcome to episode 65, where we're lucky Rhys is present due to self inflicted partying - and lucky Dan is alive due to self inflicted poisoning! Also in this ep you'll discover 50 pilot sky-spider collectors, lots of lost pigeons, an eating restrictor/ventriloquism training device and we find prehistoric man Dennis Oven in a Chinese well! Also Loch Less news and a spooky Slenderman in India. Ooooohhh!
Trigger warning We discuss weight loss and dieting, if this is triggering for you - perhaps sit this one out.
Welcome to the UAP Report special edition. This episode was recorded live as the Pentagon released it's long awaited report on the UFO/UAP situation - and as you'd rightly imagine, we cover the report with delft professionalism and deep insight - Dan even reports live from Buckingham Palace to check if the Queen comments! Also in this ep - Rapisode 5 (yay!), invisible sculptures, a real life Tarzan, Astronauts seeing Sky Serpents, and Rhys invents the revolutionary 'Audio Signature'!
Episode 63 is here at last! 'Rapisode 4' kicks it all off with an almighty bang, closely followed by Rhys telling tales of Whales eating Lobstermen, Dan teaching superhuman 'Batman' skills, and Buttons paradoxing his way to no friends. Lots of exciting (and global!) Bigfoot news to boot!
In this jammed-packed, over-time issue we kick off with the next ep of the Rapisodes. Then Rhys gets an annoying internets service inserted in his head - then Dan gets a haunted book - then Buttons brings joystick monkeys. Then we hear of over-loved chandeliers, fireproof artwork fire-suits, misplaced space trees and cryptid croissants. We then get a small tease of a big cat hunt and an important notice in the noticeboard. So just a normal episode really. Enjoy!
Well, If you hoping this show wouldn't get any more chaotic - then we have some bad news for you. In here Rhys busts out the worlds first Rapisode, Dan gets fooled by a Schnart, a Badger and a River Walrus, and Buttons reveals his get rich quick scheme - painfully slowly. Theres also intel on how to become immortal, a Squatch thumb bone under a rug in a river, an Uncle skeletal guitar, and questions about Big Cats in Thrupp. All this - whilst the hosts are simultaneously hosting other podcasts!
Well, it was only a matter of time that the show went to the gutter and the guys started resorting to toilet humor, and sadly, this show is it - though apparently it's all in the name of science(!!). Outside of that nonsense, there's also some normal nonsense - like glowing mermaids, a new 'official' Loch Ness sighting, a Mothman sighted on Google Maps, and some new lifeforms sighted in the space station disco lounge (??)
In this jam-packed issue; Rhys has mic issues which leads to news stealing and a new branch on the 'Poignancy Tree'. Ships in the sea start flying and Slugs in the Sea lead to a new proverb (and possibly a new tee-shirt). All this plus super fresh alien big cat news, increases in Bigfoot bounty and Rhys reads old fan mail. Phewf!
This week there's the usual stolen Alligator heads and space news... but the REAL highlight in this issue - Rhys brings back the long lost art of Pitakinesis with an actual live on-air science experiment!! Also, with Tasmanian Tiger photos jamming up the internet, we actual get to discussing actual Cryptozoology on a show about Cryptids! Will the wonders actual ever cease?
Well, It's a very special day at the Cryptid Factor! Firstly, we're back from a wee summer break, secondly a Mars rover landed, and lastly and leastly... it's Buttons Birthday! To celebrate, Rhys brings his Grandad along, Dan brings many diversion facts, Buttons brings his new birthday floral shirt. Also in this issue - Nasa gets its rover stolen, Blackholes get blacker, Blackpool gets an Ancient Alien Disneyland, the Area 51 farm is up for sale, Pentagon give up their UFO secrets, and the 5th Dimension gets found. Woahzers! Enjoy!
Just as the title says - this has to be the messiest, most chaos ridden episode in quite some time. Arguments about re-caps, pre-caps and updates, disagreements about a cat being a dog or a cat-dog... oh and Buttons gets kicked off the Internet and is relegated to a privileged listener. Also, more on the monolith craze, retired Israeli security chiefs giving the goss on UFOs and the dying art of Iron crotched kung-fu. Wowzers!
It's Ep 55! Where Rhys steals monolith news, Dan speaks of pole vaulting defectors and Buttons brings the tone down with sad satellite dish news. Also, you'll learn about a never to be seen cryptid exhibition; hear about an incessantly muffled Santa; and enjoy yet more Bigfoot braiding! Yay!
With Rhys busy selling his books (Buttons McGinty vol3 OUT NOW), Buttons busy learning to speak and Dan busy in lockdown, the team have been struggling to get episode 54 out. To solve this, the team attempt to do this episode 'unedited' for better or (possibly more likely) worse. Outside of the normally omitted mess, they also talk about underwater escapes from FBI, Lasers on Jetplanes, silly world record attempts and expensive farts. Also in this ep - the NZ South Island alien big cat heads north and a UK Sasquatch starts throwing Salmon.
Welcome to Ep 53. In here you'll discover a whale eating canoes, Bear-scaring cyborg wolves, 3 men bullied in a tumble dryer, and some celebrity UFO sightings. Also, Rhys does some blunder deconstruction, Dan updates his Poltergeist haunting and Buttons gets a rare taste of fame - along with a new podcast! Plus - listen out for some very limited offers from Mike's Universe Cars!!
Welcome to the Cryptid Factors first ever Halloween Special! And given how it all went, it may well just be the last! Rhys, Dan and Buttons bring you a true spooky story each, which includes a Vampire, a Wendigo and Poltergeist. We dare you to see if you can get through the utter scariness of it all (let alone the total messiness)! Also a bonus treat of some NZ based cryptid news and we revisit our old mate Mr Boon to hear one of his wonderful Cryptid ditties! Enjoy!
Well, it's episode 51, and just like the Area after the same name, this episode is a real enigma. Rhys has a LA Jet-packing Mothman, Dan has a brand new yet historically exclusive interview with actor, thespian and explorer Brian Blessed, and Buttons has a fat tongue. Also in this ep, there's 4G on the moon, a Drummer goes to hell and back and a Mothman doco gets released.
(5th October 2020) Guys! We made it halfway to a century! To celebrate, Dan helps the us rise in the rankings, Rhys starts modeling, and Buttons sneaks in super star special guest BENEE! You'll also find swearing parrots, a Nessie the size of a bus and the shape of a log, a Yowie poo on a termite mound, board games played with the dead and a Rat metal detector who gets a medal. Yay!
In an exciting run of 7 episodes in a row, Rhys is enjoying living life as a 7 year old in a Lockdown hotel/prison. We celebrate our 7th patreoner and get excited about the 7th Nessie sighting this year, whilst Dan and Buttons argue over whose news of 7 musical notes is the longest (and enjoy testing the patience of Rhys in the process). All these fun 7's and more... so get amongst it!
