Welcome to season two of ‘Transplant chats with Eliza’. The podcast which supports patients through every phase of their transplant journey.
For the second season of the podcast we have officially collaborated with Royal Papworth Hospital. Together we open up the conversation on organ transplantation for patients at every stage of their transplant journey. You may be intrigued by what transplantation life is really like.
Perhaps you’re going through the transplant process yourself or may you’re a friend or family member who wants to understand and support your loved one better. You will hear from pre- and post- transplant patients in this season, as well as Royal Papworth’s own transplant team who offer education advice and tools to support you own your own transplant journey.
My guests will offer you insights into what transplantation at Royal Papworth Hospital is all about and advice on what to expect to increase your knowledge and boost your confidence.
Each episode will focus on one guest from the Royal Papworth Community (patients and staff), with conversations to interest both pre- and post- transplant patients. Topics covered include mental health, being on the transplant waiting; being a patient carer; what is a DCD heart; living a long-life post-transplant; the transplant games; writing to your donor family and transplant food dos and don’ts.
