Center Point Church
Center Point is a multi-campus church in central Kentucky. Our mission is to take everyone we meet one step closer to being a true disciple of Jesus Christ. These messages were all given at one of Center Point's campuses and are free for download.
Jesus is not reserved for a certain type of person, but a certain type of heart posture; and Jesus is faithful to fulfill his promises. 1. Jesus is not limited to a certain type of person. (24, 26a, 27) 2. Jesus is limited to a certain type of heart posture. (25, 26b, 28) a. The woman was desperate b. This woman was humble c. This woman was persistent d. This woman passed the test 3. Jesus is faithful to fulfill his promises. (29-30) Jesus promises: 1. Peace and rest 2. An abundant life 3. Eternal life 4. To be kept by Jesus 5. Jesus will return for us 6. - Characteristics of a Prodigal a. They become self-absorbed ("Give me!") b. Their action toward others is insensitive c. They lack discernment d. They conform to wrong influences e. Ungodly motivation and behavior become normative
- How we should respond to the broken relationship of a departed prodigal a. Continue to engage life and responsibilities uncompromisingly b. Check your attitude (You're responsibility for your actions and reactions.
- Take spiritual action a. Be restitution oriented (v. 20, 22) b. Express your love (v. 22-23) c. Facilitate a celebration for restitution d. Use your influence to challenge others to reconcile and restore (v. 31)

- Where you look will determine how you live
- Objective facts guide and ground our subjective feelings
- Justification - The legal pronouncement of God that a person is righteous because of Jesus perfect life and his death on the cross
- Redemption - purchased by the blood of Christ and set free from our bondage to sin and now we belong to God
- Propitiation - the sacrificial offering of Jesus Christ in which he bears the wrath of God for our sins and fully satisfies God's perfect justice
- The righteousness of God in the law says, "I am finished!"
- The righteousness of God in love says, "It is finished!"

I. God’s ways may not always appear clear, but they are always right Human eyes are insufficient to see God’s work. Human righteousness is insufficient to do God’s work. God’s ways are above our reason but not responded to without reason.
II. God’s will may not be easy to obey, but he does not make it hard to know God gave Joseph assurance. God gave Joseph and explanation. God gave Joseph an astounding promise.
III. God is involved in our lives more than we can imagine; but we should try! To save us from our sins. To remove our separation from God.

OUR STRATEGIC PLAN: TO DEVELOP THE CHURCH TO MAKE DISCIPLES OF THE PEOPLE IN THEIR WORLD THROUGH SHARING WITH THEM THE MESSAGE OF SALVATION, INTRODUCING THEM TO WORSHIP, AND TEACHING THEM HOW TO FOLLOW CHRIST.
OUR VISION: TO CREATE COMMUNITIES OF DISCIPLES WHERE CONDITIONS ARE OPTIMAL AND DISCIPLE-MAKING IS THE NORM.
