The AhV Wanderers are about traveling the Country and finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. We gravitate towards off the beaten path and in the process will pass along travel ideas, stories and a little history about people, places and everything in-between as we go from Point A to Point B. We've found that when life throws us lemons we have the best experiences so we make coffee. It's our goal to to help you discover how to make your own adventures even when lemons come your way.
intro and outro music from Storyblocks.com Hoedown by artist Bruce Zimmerman
Join us as we explore Amish Country in PA and the incredible Behalt Cyclorama. Plus, more off the beaten paths in South Dakota and North Dakota including a visit to Theodore Roosevelt's Ranch. Learn about the truth of where Hugh Glass was mauled by a grizzly bear. Hear about the amazing sculptures of welded art by John Lopez of Lemmon, SD and the metal sculptor, Gary Greff, who created the Enchanted Highway (correction: runs between Route 94 and Regent, ND, not 80). Finally, as Hollywood would say "that's a wrap".

Meet our friends Jack and Jeri that we got to know through their son's wife who thought they'd be interested in our podcast since we talk a lot about Jeeps. While in SD over the summer, we were able to coordinate a face to face and sat down with them to do this campfire chat. We had a great time getting to know them and enjoyed hearing about their adventures. They are part-time RVrs living in FL when they aren't travelling. In this episode they share stories about their experiences over the 9 years they have travelled the country during the spring and summer months along with what some of their favorite places are they have visited as well as ideas for what to see when traveling in their home state of FL.

Come with us as we explore interior Oregon and the Crater Lake area. There are numerous short trails in the area that I could actually hike due to their ease and accessibility, for those with disabilities this is a great area to explore. We also had some surprises on the way there and while in the park. Some put your ear buds in and enjoy.

Along with traveling to places where we can be relaxed and have fun, affordability is also an important factor for us. In this episode we talk about Southeast California and our experience with sticker shock from food to gasoline and some things in between. Learn how we adjusted our approach so we could still visit the state but make it cost effective too. Perhaps these tips will help you when planning your next trip.

Nevada was a difficult State for us to talk about since it is also where we said goodbye to our beloved pets Bella and Buddy.
We did manage to see Las Vegas, Mount Charleston, Pahrump, Red Rocks State Park, Boulder City, Tule Springs Fossil Beds, Ryholite and Valley of Fire State Park. This is also where our story of Lemons and Coffee came about.
This episode is a little different and longer because one of our listeners had some additional questions not covered in episode 1. Such as how do we plan our trips, how did we downsize and what have we learned so far on the road.
