Tv shows...we all know 'em and most of the time, they are animated or live action. Most of the time, animated is for children but there are some exceptions, and they are for the older crowd (Simpsons, Bob's Burgers, ect). Live action can be for anyone, but we tend to watch more live action as we get older. And yes, while I did do an animated vs live-action Survivor episode, I decided to discuss the differences between them as well as some of the challenges that can come from both.
So, it is almost Halloween time for pumpkins, candy, and horror films. Some are good and others are...not so good. However, I have found the best way to make a horror film in the form of the 2013 short (3 mins!) film, Lights Out. This will be similar to where I break down why that episode of Scrubs made the perfect twist where I identify an element in the example, and I explain why it's good. Sometimes you may be watching a movie sequel, or a TV show and you may be thinking; "What happened to my beloved character? Why are they so bad when they have no reason to be bad?" So, I did not like the first Unfriended. So, I was shocked when they made another movie like that. I saw a brief synopsis to see if it was as bad as the first one and it seemed OK. When I was channel surfing at night, I saw it was on and decided to watch it. As Palpatine says "A surprise to be sure but a welcome one." He battles fiercely for The Prequels, and I fight just as hard for the Original Trilogy. In addition to debating, we also get off topic and start discussing the theology of some of the Star Wars films.
