Delicious talks about Jesus. There’s no such thing as a Christian sinner. The dead are still raised. Was the shedding of blood necessary for relational forgiveness, or legal forgiveness? We should probably speak in tongues more.

The early church did it. We dropped the ball somewhere along the line. Time to pick it back up.
Being set on fire by community is good. But kindle your own fire, that it might be sustained in every season.
Communion with the spiritual realm is a lost practice for most people. Let us seek God with diligence and fire
We are not of those who back away to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. Hebrews 10:39
The anxious burden is not ours to bear. It can seem spiritual to be constantly mindful of the issues of life, even with the intent of praying for them - but that’s not what we are to do.
It can be good to remove those who are negatively influencing community groups. But if you consider yourself spiritual; do not give up on them. It’s the mercy of the Gospel.
The New Testament lays out the manner in which we ought to come to God: faith. Without faith, nobody can bring pleasure to God. To come to God out of desperation is often to come to God believing that He will not do what He has said. In other words: unbelief.
We win people to God by appealing to the desires of their flesh, rather than having them crucify the desires of their flesh. Jesus died to make us healthy and at peace; yet that was not the central message of the Gospel.
We keep asking God to do what He’s already done; it’s no wonder we don’t experience the realities of the Gospel in our lives the we way ought to be experiencing them.
When people hear Mark 11:24 - anything you pray for, believing you have received it, shall be yours - we usually think of cars, jobs and wives. But what about things like peace? Can we will peace into existence?
It gives people knowledge without understanding, creating a church who knows what they ought to be doing and yet cannot do it.
Why do we insist on constantly preaching otherwise? It sounds spiritual, but it’s just silliness
If you can’t take criticism, it’s a good sign that your identity is in having a good identity.
Why would we ever be outdone by someone who doesn’t have the Spirit of the immortal God?
If you’re lukewarm, just force yourself into the lifestyle of being on fire. Do it right now. Write a list of crazy things to incorporate into your lifestyle for Jesus, cut out everything that isn’t of Him, and life a life of radical obedience to Heaven.
“But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.” Luke 11:20 NKJV
“Giving it up to God” is basically just “giving up”, if not done correctly. “Surrendering it to God” is often just “surrendering” if we don’t know what it really means. Why be a loser when you can just be a winner?
If our theology looks different to the life of Christ, we’ve stepped out of truth. He is the visible image of the invisible God - and as He is, so are we. We preach sinfulness instead of saintliness; we preach God’s “maybe” instead of “it is finished”. But that’s not how it is in Heaven.
Not every thought is from yourself, but every thought can be taken into capacity - into the obedience of Christ. We wouldn’t be told to fix our thoughts on what is true if we couldn’t actually fix our thoughts.
We have been given all authority and power to use in Jesus’ name. Yet we still often come out as the underdog. There’s only one reason why: we gave up. Here’s a story and some sweet as discussions as to how we ought to go about living in aggressive militancy in the Gospel.
If we didn’t cast the demons out before they got saved, then why would they have left? Demons aren’t air fresheners that lose their scent after 2 weeks. They’ll linger for as long as they’re left to stay. No amount of time in God will drive them out. Demons aren’t cast out by praying for thousands of hours or by reading the Bible 50 times through. They’re CAST OUT by the authority of Jesus’ name. The longer someone has been in God, the more we need to ask them if they need deliverance... Because most likely nobody has. Unless they got saved in a revival, anyway...
So does love and such, but what does 60+ years of diligently giving yourself to your calling look like? I wouldn’t know, I’m not that old. But I can speculate.
It’s a rare thing to find, and an easy thing to lose. In 10 years I’ve never seen someone my age stay burning on fire for more than a couple of years. Distractions, relationships and disappointments have always got the best of people. Never lose your fire for Jesus.
We say we’ve tried everything, when in reality we have hardly even taken the first steps to overcoming the problems we face. Temptation, relational issues, financial difficulties, discouragement, disappointment, rejection, betrayal... We are too quick to throw in the towel.
Victim mentality is to be replaced with victory mentality. Violently seize that which the devil has stolen and stand on the truth of the Gospel.
We have reduced the significance of baptism by the way we teach about its absolute necessity. Why did God choose baptism as the only physical action that Christians are to do ONCE in their lives? What is so significant about it? Why do we belittle it by calling it a “public declaration of faith”? Baptism is the most tangible event in the Christian life, upon which we can anchor our very being in faith in what God has said about it, and what it means for us.
Depression is an external force trying to get in, not an internal issue trying to get out. True Christian perspective is key to experiencing the peace for which Christ died (Isaiah 53:5).
...no, it has nothing to do with “freeing up time that would have been spent cooking.” Why do people even say that?
He didn’t shed it to make us worthy, but because we were worthy. Why do we even say we were worthless, when Scripture makes it clear that He so willingly paid the price?
We have linked the two concepts, falsely. Oh, and God didn’t go to the Cross for His own glory. He did it for us.
Our greatest lover gave us only one book to read... We should probably actually read that bad boy
We criticise people because they aren’t “acting like Christians” - but what makes a Christian a Christian?
I’ve spoken in tongues for thousands of hours. So did the Apostle Paul. Why doesn’t everyone? It’s good.
