I started my professional career in 2009. A decade ago.

I was a novice enthusiastic guy who wanted to be in the creative industry ready to explore the world of Advertising as a copywriter.

But soon plans changed.

I jumped various profiles. From copywriting, to client servicing, to social media manager, to paid social. I taste a lot of things in the last 10 years.

It was fun in the beginning, but during the later half of this decade i started worrying about my 'lack of expertise' in any particular field.

It was bothersome.

So I started working on self-educating myself. And today i am at a position where I am going deep in the different aspects of 'Content Marketing'.

The Jack Of Growth is a place where I will share my thoughts on things as and when they come to me.

This is my Audio Diary.

My aim is to make it relevant for all those people who have jumped multiple profiles and maybe suffer though the Expert Syndrome. Hope you enjoy.

User Generated Content. Can there be a better metric to justify the success of a brand? I don’t think so. Even though the fact that the statement above doesn’t come as a surprise to most businessmen, however, most still don’t do anything about it, surprises me.

By not squeezing the authenticity of a UGC content you are leaving a lot of money on the table. I was having a chat with a few gentlement from https://buff.ly/2JAJDKu talking about UGC content and how brands should approach UGC content.

I have a lot of questions that I am planning to get answers from the UGC experts. Meanwhile, let me know if you have any questions on User Generated Content? I will consult the experts and get back to you with the answers.

Competition Analysis can reap great returns if you have a structured approach to it. There are always going to be too many restaurants that you are competing with, but knowing which ones are your Primary Competitors and which ones are your Secondary Competitors is the key.

This gives us a clear understanding of the kind of learnings we want to derive from each. In this video, I share my process of whittling down to my primary competition and Secondary from a huge list of restaurants. It’s possible that you might think that this part is redundant because you probably know your competitors, but be with me for a moment so I can explain why we all should do this. So, you may know a handful of restaurants that are your direct competitors, but just by knowing them we will not be able to outsmart from them, or even learn from them.

We need to also categorize competitors to get maximum learning out of them.

For instance, there can be: Cuisine Competitors (ones who serve the same food) Location competitors (ones who are in the same vicinity as your restaurant, but serve different cuisine) Content competitors (ones who are not a restaurant but create content in your niche) Instagram Competitors (ones who have their Instagram game on point) Now we can create different learning objectives for each.

This is why I recommend giving Competition Analysis its due importance. If you want to check out My Restaurant Marketing Guide, you can click here: https://anuragshuklajee.com/restauran...

Competitor analysis and market research are some of the best ways to understand the context of your niche. Not only does it offer valuable insights it also can give you insightful data, like your target customer's pain points and competitor's audience acquisition strategy.

In this video, I talk about how you can use free tools to understand the demand of the niche your restaurant is in.

Don't underestimate the power of this information, these are people who are looking for a business like yours. And if they are not finding you then they are finding your competitors. As a restaurant marketer/owner creating a strategy to appear in front of them should be one of the few top things on your priority list.

Along with the demand I also talk about how you can use Facebook Ads manager to gauge a ballpark number of the most desirable audience in your area. This is very critical information, as you can use this information to create Event/Campaign/Business ideas that are focussed towards this audience.

One of the biggest restaurant owners do is trying to target everyone and running thin their budget without any business returns.

I recommend you try to do the mentioned exercise for your business and get an idea of your desired audience market.

In the next videos, I will share examples of how you can identify your Primary & Secondary Competition.

I will also talk about how can you analyze them and derive actionable insights that can be extremely fruitful for your business.

Restaurant marketers behold! For I'm putting together one of the most comprehensive Restaurant Marketing guide that you can use in 2019. I was recently working with three brands of restaurants spread across 5 Emirates in the UAE. Working with them was like a crash course for me to understand the pain points and the issues that restaurant marketers and owners face. And I can see that not a lot of restaurant owners can afford to have their own restaurant marketing team. And that cripples the growth of a restaurant. And since I have quit this place and have some time at hand, I am going to create what I think is going to be the most comprehensive Restaurant Marketing guide on the internet. For this purpose, I'm going to create a hypothetical restaurant and I'm going to base it in Dubai. Dubai Marina to be specific, because that's where I live and that way, I can add a lot of context to my strategies. Also, it will make it extremely easy for everyone to comprehend. Hope you guys are excited about this because I for sure am. I'm going to be spending a lot of time and energy on this and I hope this restaurant marketing plan guide can offer tremendous value to you.
