What if COVID-19 is a symptom of a bigger issue in our lives? We see in Mark chapter 2 a story in which 4 friends bring their paralyzed friend to Jesus. Before Jesus addresses the "sickness" he addresses another issue more important in the man's life. This man's issue is an issue we face today as well.
As COVID-19 is taking us away from what we consider to be normal, God can use it to: 1. Give us Perspective 2. To have us Become Reflective 3. So we can TAKE ADVANTAGE of Opportunites
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-115807.html
On the day of Atonement the priest would follow the commands of God and what He required for sin of the people to be paid for. This was a picture of what Jesus has done, once and for all mankind! Our sin and guilt are gone, we are freed from our past and freed up to follow Jesus!
We see throughout the Bible that God gives many promises. We see this specifically in and through the life of Abraham. We receive and walk in God's promise by faith! Are you walking by faith or have you taken life into your own hands?
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-114165.html
When God cuts back sin, He always creates room for His grace. To stop the spread of sin God confused the people at Babel so they would be scattered and in turn sin was cut back. This is was an opportunity for God to reveal His grace! Have you experienced God's grace? Take a listen and find your grace story.
In this part of the story, we see there was an enemy from the beginning recruiting humans into his rebellion. The enemy uses his best game plan, this is a strategy he uses against people to this very day. But God, he offers hope in the form of a curse to stomp out evil.
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-113473.html
As we begin our journey through the Bible we start the story by the author introducing Himself. He goes on to tell us what He created and how humans are the crown of creation! God loves humankind and in the garden He gives Adam three gifts. As we begin, we see that these gifts are for us as well!
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-113141.html
Pastor Bryce kicks off our 51 week journey through the Bible! The Bible is one story that begins in a garden, ends in a city, all the way through it points to Jesus Christ. This story is the way God speaks to us today, produces life in us, and every time we open it we meet with Him! Will you join us?
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-112950.html
Elder Mark Southcott brings the Word as we look to the roles the Angels played in the coming of Jesus!
This is our vision for 2020!
"As we pursue God we will see Him do Abundantly More"
What's your one more?
Jesus gave the disciples a clear purpose when He called them to follow Him! Our purpose is clear and it calls us to the same work that Jesus began.
As you listen you will hear from two people of how this purpose has worked and is working out in their life!
Sermon Notes and Purpose can be found here: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-111967.html
Every situation in life is and can be related to scripture. Scripture reveals Jesus and Jesus requires a response. The more we know the Word the more we know and can see Jesus in everything and can therefore respond.
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-109951.html
As we move forward we ask ourselves the question...what are devoted to in life? When we see what the early church was devoted to it will confront our lives. It will confront what we are devoted to.
As we look back we see that Church from its birth is a Church that REACHES! Using different methods throughout the ages, the Church through the power of the Holy Spirit reaches to a lost world. Take a listen as we look back and move forward here at Rome Alliance.
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-109500.html
As we transition out of 1 Peter, Rev. Stephen Clark Sr. brings us "Being Strangers in an even Stranger World." He addresses... What is culture and what is the Church? He then asks how the two come together. How should the church engage with culture?
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-109247.html
Are you qualified to lead? Elder, Mark Southcott challenges us with the role an Elder plays in the local church and how everyone should be pursuing growth and leadership in their life.
Are you surprised when you suffer for your faith? You shouldn’t be, rather you should glad, you are partners with Christ and blessed because you bear His name! SO, Keep on doing what is Right!
Chris Roy, Men's Ministry Director brings our next installment in 1 Peter. Chris asks the church, "What really is normal?" What is normal for the believer? Take a listen!
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-108198.html
In the midst of suffering Peter encourages the believers to have a life that speaks. A life that speaks well points others to Jesus. We don't speak on our own in the midst of suffering Christ's life speaks too. How is He speaking to you and through you?
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-107927.html
To be on team Jesus, strangers must excel at doing good and have a quick reaction time explaining the hope inside. These two things done well show the world that we belong to Jesus. What is the secret then to our success?
Dive in with us to 1 Peter 3:13-17
How do you view submission? How do you see it in regards to marriage? In this sermon, we reclaim what submission is and what it looks like between a husband and a wife.
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-107463.html
If Donald Trump asked you to pray with him what would your response be? Your response depends on what you believe it means to submit. Peter shares as strangers how we are to submit to the governing authorities and as slaves. This type of submission truly is strange especially in the world we live in today, see what it means to submit!
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-107124.html
What does your neighbor say about you? Do they say that you're strange or do they say you are like the world? Can they say that your life points them to the Glory of God? As we keep away from worldly desires we can live a life that points our neighbors to God. This is a strange way to live.
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-106925.html
What are you building in your life? Are you building on the Cornerstone or are you stumbling and falling over it? Either we build or we fall. If we build, we build the Church and others can stand on us. If we fall we are tearing down the church and others stumble over us. Let us build the church!

Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-106791.html
Christian's have an impossible challenge to rid themselves of sin. However, our attitude determines our latitude and if we crave the Word of God we grow into the believer Jesus wants us to be. We need to be growing Christian's who crave the Word. An impossible challenge is made possible!
Rev. Stephen Clark brings this word to Rome Alliance Church
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-106620.html
Strangers are born again to life and love. While we await our eternal reward, eternity is lived out by loving each other deeply with sincere hearts. Live out eternity by loving one another today.
Sermon notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-106400.html
As Strangers our conduct will be judged by God. Our conduct reveals whether we are set apart for a holy purpose or whether we are a part of this world. Holy people live with holy conduct because they live in fear of God. Let's take a deep look this morning as we journey through 1 Peter 1:17-20.
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-106270.html
Believers in Christ are called to a strange mission; being holy as God is holy. Believers must be able to focus their lives, fix their hope, and look forward to succeed. At what point of the mission are you on today?
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-106097.html
If you aren't currently in a trial then you are either going into one or coming out of one. Peter gives believers a strange perspective to take on our temporary trials. This perspective is both earthly and eternal.
Sermon notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-105959.html
Are you strange? As believers in Jesus we are called to "Be Strange." As we begin this new series in 1 Peter listen in to what being strange is all about and the process Jesus wants to take us on to get there.
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-105777.html
At Rome Alliance Church we want to be a people who know our stories and tell our stories. Listen in to how Jesus has used Jesse's story of cancer for good in his life!
Every scar we have tells a story. The question is, what story is your scar telling? On this Easter Sunday we see that Jesus too has scars and His story is one of victory and Resurrection! Is this the story your scars tell?
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-105644.html
Who is your neighbor and what does it mean to love them? As we see Jesus answer these questions with a story we see the four types of people that are our neighbors and the way we are supposed to love them!
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-105482.html
Jesus shares a love story between a Father and his two sons. This story is known as the Prodigal Son. The three characters in the story each show us something about love. Listen in as you will find "your story" inside one of greatest stories ever told.
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-105325.html
If you lost your child would you go and search for it? Jesus displays the heart of the Father through a lost sheep and a shepherd that went to search for it. In this story Jesus tells we either find ourselves as the sheep in need of rescuing or the shepherd that needs to rescue others. This is "Love Stories."
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-105210.html
Do you love, love stories? When we hear a story our brain places us in the story. Over the next 3 weeks we are going to hear 3 love stories Jesus told. We are going to experience Jesus' love and then give it away.
https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-105043.html
One of our Core Discipleship Values is to "Share." We want to be a church where people know their gospel story and be a church where people tell gospel story. Listen to Aaron's story taken from a portion of the March 17 sermon, "Tell Your Story."
As we close out our series we see the apostle Paul share his gospel story to King Agrippa. In Paul's story we see for ourselves 4 key elements to sharing our story. We are a church that shares our stories. Take a listen!
In this sermon we have a powerful testimony shared as Aaron shares His story!
Sermon notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-104917.html
We are all on a journey. This journey called life is full of hardship, doubts, and fears. However, on this journey Jesus wants to speak to us. We will look at our journey through the journey of 2 men on the road to Emmaus.
Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-104633.html
Jesus was a people-watcher, He was always watching and observing what was taking place around Him. Jesus was then able to use what He saw to teach others. In Luke 21:1-4 Jesus teaches His disciples what it means to give everything by watching people give in the temple court. Today we "SEE" what it means to give everything by watching the widow.

What are the symptoms of a hard heart? We all have this spiritual condition, a thick callous around our spiritual lives. The disciples were made aware of this condition as Jesus performed miracles that they didn't see or understand. As scripture (Mark 6, 8) reveals the symptoms of this spiritual condition we need to exam our own lives.
Interactive Sermon Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39290/note-104357.html
"I was blind, now I see." Jesus heals a man who was blind from birth. This story goes far beyond a physical eye-opening, it is a spiritual eye-opening; a process of going from darkness to light.
God’s Word is full of wonderful things. When we ask God to open our eyes and we approach His word with a sense of wonder, we SEE that it’s sufficient for all things.
Do you see people that from your perspective or God's perspective? You might be asking the question, "How does God see people?" Take a listen as to how God sees people and let Him open your eyes to see how you do and then what you can do about it!
Participation- Being involved with local outreach and global missions by Rome Alliance Church
You are invited to share in the hope, healing, and love of the gospel.
Our purpose, part 2.
As we move into the future we are defining our focus by launching our Purpose, Process, and our Product. We invite you to share in the hope, healing, and love of the Gospel.
As we are cheered on from the champions of our faith we are called strip off every weight that slows and the sin that so easily entangles.
Are you a hypocrite? Hypocrisy is the absence of truth. Therefore a disciple of Jesus lives in the realm of truth.
Because disciples believe that the kingdom of God is the realm where truth prevails, they strive to have honest and open relationships.
When Jesus teaches His disciples to pray He gives them a VISION for a lifestyle of prayer. We struggle many times to pray because we lack VISION. Listen to what Jesus' VISION is!
People of the kingdom place their full confidence in the goodness and power of God, continually depending on him for provisions, forgiveness, guidance and spiritual strength.
The mission of the kingdom of God is accomplished by demonstrating and proclaiming the gospel, when courageous disciples further that mission, they are the kingdom.
Discipleship demands singleness of purpose, or focus, demonstrated by extreme urgency for advancing God’s kingdom. Jesus was intense! Are you intense enough for Christ's Kingdom? Listen in to examin your life to see if you are fit to be Christ's disciple.
Our heavenly Father is good, He delights in us and sings over us. As we have received from the Father we are now to give it away to reveal the heart of the Father to others. However, we may not receive what the Father gives. This Fathers Day will you receive with open hands? Will you give away what has been given to you?

Disciples must put the cause of the kingdom in priority over their own happiness, convenience, comfort, and even their own existence. Are you willing to exchange your life for the life Christ has for you? Do you believe that Christ has the best life planned for you? We find our lives when we lose our lives!

Rather than focusing on the failures and inadequacies of others, disciples of Christ periodically engage in self-evaluation to assess their own spiritual status. Rather than throwing stones we are called to be honest with our own spiritual condition. Are you a stone thrower? Listen to how we can be people of integrity and live the way Christ has intended for His disciples.
If you would like to know more about Rome Alliance Church check out our website. If the sermon ministry has blessed you and you would like to partner with us financially please visit www.romealliancechurch.org/give
In kingdom living, disciples of Jesus Christ respond to hostility and rejection by treating their enemies as well as they want to be treated themselves. IS Jesus serious that we must love our enemies, pray for those who mistreat us, and bless those who curse? Jesus is so serious that He tells the disciples about agape love for the first time ever in the context of loving their enemies. That's what true love is, love those who don't love us!
Are you willing to follow Jesus this far?
If you would like to know more about Rome Alliance Church check out our website. If the sermon ministry has blessed you and you would like to partner with us financially please visit www.romealliancechurch.org/give
Do you rejoice when adversity comes? Disciples of Jesus must willingly accept and live by an economic, social, and moral value system that is contrary to the world’s and to natural human inclinations. Disciples also must think of Jesus and others as greater than themselves. Humility is essential for all of these to take place. Are you humble enough to follow Jesus?

Three stories were shared this past Mother's Day. The first story was that of Abraham and Sarah from the book of Genesis, the second was of church member Melissa Verheyen and the last story is your story. We all enter Mother's Day with different thoughts, feelings, and perspectives. Will you surrender your story to let God redeem it for good in your life and the life of others?
Citizenship in the kingdom of God must be seen as an entirely new and unique life calling, not as something to be added to the old life. Welcoming newness is a continual call to a disciple. As we look at becoming disciples flexibility is a key kingdom value that we must posses.
For one to follow Jesus they must be teachable, the word disciple literally means learner. Your teachability will determine how well you follow Jesus. Disciples of Jesus Christ must be readily teachable, even to the point of obeying seemingly absurd commands that violate natural inclinations and cold logic. Are you ready to follow HIM?
This a 16 week series on what it means to be and make disciples. We take a look how the master (Jesus) made disciples. As we begin the journey we look to Jesus' model of disciple making as well. This series will be taking us through 15 different sections in the book of Luke where Jesus addresses His disciples and teaches them what to be like in God's kingdom.
Are you ready to be a disciple and a disciple maker?

The last part of the Celebrate card is to lead others to Jesus. Listen to how we do that well according to the words Jesus gives His disciples in John 15. As we lead others, we must lead them to lead others to Christ.
Kris Mays brings to us the 2nd and 3rd part of our celebrate card. A new life in Christ is about Knowing God. Listen in to the three ways we come to know God.
A disciple is called to be Salt and Light. Listen to what Jesus is telling his disciples that salt and light are in the world they lived in and how it still applies to believers today.
This sermon is unique in that is done with Pastor Bryce and Pastor Tre from Southside Alliance located in Elmira NY.
We enter into stories and make them part of our own experience. God's story has 4 powerful scenes and He chases after us so we can become a part of His story. How will you enter into God's love story?
As Christians we are called in live in community, we need each other! This community is called the church. The church is how Christians live out their new identity in Christ.

Ninety percent of an iceberg is below the surface. An iceberg is represents our soul. We usually only look and pay attention to the ten percent of our life that we can see. However the ten percent is affected by the ninety percent (our soul). As we look at the story of Moses we begin the journey of knowing the shape of our own soul. What has shaped your soul? What is shaping your soul? Let's begin this journey together!
