Satan uses various things to try to knock us off the path of following Jesus. If we don’t give up when things get tough, and we allow God’s Word to fall on the good soil of our hearts, then we will grow and produce fruit.
Roots and fruits—it’s about making the tree good, because good trees bear good fruit. Jesus designed His Kingdom to be fruitful and multiply. Yes, He is looking for quantity, but He also is focused on quality—good fruit.
Roots and Fruits. You can’t gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles, but you can build your life on wisdom principles and produce good fruits. Jesus taught that the truth would set you free, but only if you engage Him through His Word and become a disciple.

It is imperative that we understand the Lord’s end goal for us in our walk with Him, is to be “fruit-full”, being disciples and making more disciples. This is the mark of a true follower, and the way we bring great glory to the Father.
Jesus was sent to seek and save the lost by the Father. Are we willing to accept the calling and seek out the lost sheep?
We can dream of having a powerful prophetic anointing like Elijah, Moses, Ezekiel, and David, but the question is whether we will have the servant’s heart to carry this anointing.
God has placed a part of His nature into the hearts of mothers. Throughout the Bible, mothers were used to accomplish the Lord’s purposes when they yielded to God’s plan. Today the Holy Spirit breathes hope & encouragement in the hearts of mothers, for the surrendering of their children to God.
Knowing who we are in Christ and whose we are, are of the utmost importance in our walk with Jesus. Without a solid identity in Christ the solid rock, we falter, are easily blown off course, and fall prey to the schemes of the devil.
The Lord took the prophet Ezekiel in the Spirit to a valley of dry bones and told him to prophesy to the bones to live! Just like Ezekiel, we as Christians have the same power and authority to speak life over our dead and hopeless situation. When Jesus instructed His disciples concerning the end times, He told them that every ethnic group would hear the good news of the Kingdom before the end would come. This good news was not merely a teaching. It was actually in demonstration throughout the ministry of Jesus.
God loves you so much that He not only sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for your sins, He also took all of your illness, sickness, and weakness in His body. His love motivated Him to carry away all of that so you could live free, healed, and whole.

Sometimes when things get tough along the road of life we allow circumstances to cause us to sit down in a ditch, just like Blind Bartimaeus from Mark 10. When we have a fear based life we are limited. If something is not in our comfort zone, it is in our fear zone. The good news is that fear can be overcome when we believe God’s Word. Isaiah 41:10 is a promise of God that can set us free from the grip of fear when we receive revelation of its truth.
Life can deal a lot of damage to the heart of a person. Our hearts have the potential to bring forth good & evil, it is the the place where sin is conceived, and it is the center of our faith. God’s focus is on the condition of our heart and He desires transformation by the power of Jesus’ love.
When people come together in harmony, and the unity of the Holy Spirit, great things can be accomplished for the work of God. People will be saved, healed, and delivered from the power of the devil. They will receive an inheritance with those who are sanctified through faith in Christ Jesus. Understanding and engaging with the vision of the house of worship is vital to the success of any local church.
An old hymn from the 1700s states: "There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Immanuel's veins; And sinners, plunged beneath that flood, Lose all their guilty stains." There is a powerful relationship between the name and the blood. Sometimes our sins seem overwhelming and damnable. These rise to our necks and threaten to drown us– but Jesus is Immanuel, God with us! He will save us from our sins!
Philippians 2:7 (NIV) says, “Rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.” In giving up his divine status, Jesus modeled the life of a servant to us, marked by humility and obedience. The Kingdom of God needs men & women to walk like Jesus walked, available & ready to give their lives in service to Him with the correct motivation. Let’s be a people who don’t just talk about the love of Jesus, but show it through our obedient service to God, to our families, to our church family & all around us.
When Jesus Christ came to the earth in bodily form, He voluntarily gave up His divine power. We will explore specifically the characteristic of humility that Jesus exemplified, as seen in Philippians 2. As reborn children of God, filled with the same Holy Spirit as Jesus was, we have the same opportunity to live as He lived on earth, without pride, to show the love of the Father to a lost and hurting world.
We find treasures in the short prayer of Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4. We need faith to change our world, by seeking his hand of great love. In faith, we use all the weapons he provided for us, and then stand on that faith. We are then able to introduce a soon-coming heaven to a hurting world.
There's a shaking coming. Are you ready? When under pressure, most people seem to make decisions based on how they feel. However, feelings can be very unreliable, and can quickly change. Emotional decisions are often not very good decisions. Flesh-based decisions are often disastrous. Followers of Jesus can operate a different spirit because inside of them, they carry the spirit of faith. That spirit of faith releases life-changing power. It puts amazing transformation within your reach.
The Word in chapter 4 of 2 Corinthians tells us to "to not lose heart" as it starts out and closes. Paul is encouraging us to partake in the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Let's take a closer look at how God chose man to partner with His Spirit to share the Hope of Jesus Christ. We must let The Light of our Lord shine out into this dark world and show the Glory of God's Kingdom here on Earth.
“But I promise you, no weapon meant to hurt you will succeed, and you will refute every accusing word spoken against you.” (Isaiah 54:17) Standing in the mighty armor of God and wielding the powerful weapon of the Word of God, we have the strength to “pray at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit”, positioning ourselves firmly upon the promises of God until the devil flees. No matter what weapon the enemy has forged against you, it will not prosper!
At his hometown synagogue, Jesus announced “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.” (Luke 4:21) He was referring to His mission to destroy the effects of sin plaguing the human race and releasing freedom of every kind of oppression and restoration to wholeness. With this declaration, He made healing and deliverance immediately available to every believer. The waiting across many millennia had ended. Healing is for today, not tomorrow.
Since Jesus made a way for us to draw near to God through shedding his blood on the cross, we now have access to intimacy with the Father. Under the New covenant we now have the ability to “go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him”, as Hebrews 10:22 says. Developing an intimate relationship with the Lord is of utmost importance in our life of following Jesus.
Let’s focus on Hebrews 10:19-22 which tells us Jesus made a way for us to draw near to God through shedding his blood on the cross. Doing away with the requirement of the high priest to offer sacrifices & sin offerings for himself and for the people, Jesus became our High Priest. We now have access to intimacy with the Father, the ability to go boldly and confidently to the throne of grace, by faith. Draw near to the one who made a way for you!
“But you, Timothy, have closely followed my example and the truth that I’ve imparted to you. You have modeled your life after the love and endurance I’ve demonstrated in my ministry by not giving up.” (2 Timothy 3:10 TPT) It’s rewarding to follow good leaders, but it’s not always easy. Leaders have an assignment from Jesus, the head of the church, to equip believers for the work of the ministry, to build them up, and bring them into unity of faith and increasing maturity. His aim is to produce followers who are stable and not easily deceived, sidetracked, or tossed about by the latest wind of doctrine.
You can knock down a mountain by taking one baby step at a time. Real strength & real growth will lead to greater victory as you consistently continue every day with the small step in front of you.
We can be the people, now in the New Covenant of Jesus (no more wrath of God destroying), who build up the wall and stand before Lord in the gap on behalf of our city, state, nation. Be a wall builder through prayer! Be a gap filler through intercession!
We'll be taking a look at what revival is using the Word of God in Nehemiah chapters 7-10. True revival is having a brokenness of heart for our sins and recognizing the goodness of God. It is a renewal of obedience to God's Word that moves us to action.

There are a series of doors depicted in stories throughout the Bible that point to the gospel message. These doors represent a decision, they are either a bridge to salvation, or a barrier resulting in damnation. They all point to Jesus, who died for us to open the door to salvation, should we choose to open the door of our hearts to Him, the resurrected Christ.
We are living in a time when it seems like spiritual attacks against Christianity are on the rise. Moral and spiritual values have shifted leaving our nation adrift in secular humanistic culture. Demonic activity is on the rise, and even satanic worship has become acceptable in many circles. It is time for believers to be watchful, wary, and equipped for the times we are experiencing. Like Jerusalem, we need the Lord to be a wall of fire round about, and the glory in the midst of us. (Zechariah 2:5)
Proverb— “Leave your simple ways behind, and begin to live; learn to use good judgment.” As worldwide, economic, political, social, cultural, and religious turmoil boils over around us, we can rightly label it perilous times. That’s exactly what Apostle Paul called it. Add to that multiple natural disasters and rampant violence throughout the nations. It’s a recipe for discouragement, depression, and despair. The Word of God promises that we who love Him and follow after Him will be the head and not the tail. We will be above only and not beneath, so how do we maintain that position of victory in the midst of all the chaos? Let’s take a look at that today.
Part of the role of the Holy Spirit is to lead us into truth and prompt us to follow Jesus. Just as yielding at an intersection prevents us from going straight through into a collision, yielding to the prompting of the Holy Spirit will help us to avoid a wreck. To walk in victory, it is important who and what we yield to, as well as who and what we resist. So, resist sin, the pull of the flesh, and the devil, and yield to God to experience life!
Why do revivals end? What is the cause that brings an outpouring of the Spirit down? Can followers of Christ have a sustainable move of the Holy Spirit? Can we all be one, just like Jesus and the Father are one?
Have you cleared your Calendar? Do you already have the appropriate attire? Will you be taking any guests? Do they know the "dress code" or is it "come as you are?"
As the people of God, we are called to worship Him by radically following God’s instruction. Obedience to God’s plan leads to amazing breakthroughs that are essential as we the church, usher in the last days.
You may think you're forgotten, but God never forgets. You may feel left behind, but Jesus will never leave you nor will he forsake you. If you let him, he will even fight your battles for you. Put your trust in him today because he is forever faithful.
While evil is promoted across the world, God is igniting revival fires. He has given us 4 keys to walk in, in order to embrace a greater glory in this hour.
God always raises people up that He needs for every season. His remedy is the Holy Spirit for every situation in the world. We need His Presence or the Fire of the Holy Spirit to bring Heaven down to Earth. In Matthew 3:11 we see His promise to baptize us with His Fire and bring revival to a new generation.
God wants us to be heavenly minded. For this to be possible we must understand who we are in Christ. When we know and live as His chosen vessels we will make a difference in this world.
The God we serve never slumbers nor sleeps. He is always watching over us and he sending his Word to perform it in our lives.
Discipleship is very important, so that people can get past the "rubble" in their lives and build a new foundation with Jesus Christ.
If your dream is dying or already dead, get rid of the interruptions and distractions and focus on Jesus, the answer. Throughout the mockers and scorners and naysayers, surround yourself with faith and raise it from the dead.
Without vision it's easy to stumble or go astray. Like blind Bartimaeus in Mark 10, it is imperative that you put your faith to work and receive your vision. Are you letting distractions and naysayers keep you from having God's best in your life?

Fasting is a voluntarily abstaining from food for spiritual purposes. The main thing is to present yourself to the Lord as a living sacrifice with a sincere heart. Listen to His instructions. Follow His guidance. He can re-purpose your life, and shift you to another level in your walk with Him.

There is a dominion that is on us. It is the government of the Lord Jesus Christ. Because He rules and reigns in the lives of His children, the power is in each one of us. His government is on your shoulders, which allows you to walk in His dominion and authority.
Last week we dove into the book of Habakkuk to discover that God’s love endures when you face trials and injustice. Continue the journey with us as we explore more truths from this book that will help us stand in God’s love despite difficult circumstances around us.
As Psalm 136 says of the Lord, “His faithful love endures forever.” His love endures when you face trials & grief. His love endures when you see injustices around you. His love endures when you don’t see breakthrough and are confused about where God is in a situation.
Love conquers sin! As Christians, we are exhorted in the Word to put off the “Old Self” on the “New Self”. This new nature is fashioned according to God’s blueprint for our lives.
Jesus asked Peter three questions. Were there three different questions OR was it the same question - three times? Why does John report that ". . . Peter was hurt. . ." following the third question? Was he hurt because Jesus asked the same question three times or because of the question, that he was asked the third time? We will explore.
It’s time for us to let go of all the fleshly things which we have held firmly to, and truly re-center our hearts on Him. It is time for us to put our trust and confidence in Him and Him alone!

The book of Leviticus is a "how-to manual" on what God wanted for the children of Israel to learn about faith and obedience to Him. What did that look like and how can we still live in sacrifice to God today? Romans 12:1-2 tells us "to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God." Are we living a sanctified life and ready for the "Fire" of God to fall on us, to fill us for His mission?

God is calling us into intimacy for kinship with Jesus. In Matthew 6:6, He is prompting us to have a private relationship with Him and He says "He will reward us." God wants us to walk every day abiding in Him and have His love for the lost. He will turn the hearts of the sons to the fathers, and your private intimacy with the Father will pour out His passion in public. This will bring our prodigal brothers home. Our First Love needs to be Jesus above anyone or anything.
The power of God is our healer and our faith releases the healing to manifest. The woman in Luke 8:40- reached out and touched the edge of Jesus’ robe with the faith that she would be healed. Jesus saw her when He felt power go out of him, just like He sees you in your condition, and wants to send you out healed to touch a broken world.

As followers of Jesus we have been given dynamic, strong and miraculous power. We have been sent out to the world with the same power and authority with which Jesus sent out his disciples in Mark 6:7. The Lord wants to use our lives and voices to bring Dunamis power to change situations.
Probably most Christians believe that they should be like Jesus, at least to some extent. However, the Bible teaches that Jesus expected his disciples to do the works that he did and to even exceed that by doing greater works than he did. While we are praying and waiting for God to do something like this, he is waiting on us to believe and to step out in faith, and prove Jesus true to his word by doing his works.
“But the plant soon wilted under the hot sun, and since it didn’t have deep roots, it died.” (Mark 4:6) Both deep roots and and good fruit point to a healthy productive plant, one that not only survives but thrives through sun and storms. Spiritually we aim for the same, but how you cultivate your field and care for the plants by allowing the work of the Father the guidance of the Holy Spirit will determine the outcome. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit.” (John 15:5) Will you?
Today we live in a world with an unlimited, infinite amount of information at our finger tips. How do YOU determine what is truth or what is a lie, or what is beneficial or what is harmful? We will look at a Biblical account regarding a prophet and prophets that I believe shares some interesting insights to consider AND then share some information contrasting the office of the prophet with the gift of prophecy AND also answer God’s question (noted in the title of the message) with God’s own answer! Every lottery winner soon learns this truth: It is easier to get it than it is to keep it. Did you receive something from God—deliverance, healing, blessing? What do you do when it looks like it’s slipping through your fingers what do you do when it looks like it’s slipping through your fingers, when doubts or fears arise, or when symptoms are returning? How do you fight back? The Scriptures are replete with answers to these questions, but today we will consider only three aspects.

So may we never be arrogant, or look down on another, for each of us is an original… (Galatians 5:26 TPT) As His originals, our assignment is to keep being compassionate to those who still have doubts, to snatch others out of the fire to save them, to be merciful over and over to them, always coupling our mercy with the fear of God. As for our own lives, we must guard our hearts, and keep ourselves free from the pollutions of the flesh. That’s what a quick snapshot of “walking by the Spirit”.
Many Christians feel that walking by the Spirit is very difficult. My pastor, Dr. Lester Sumrall used to say, "God cannot bless ignorance. If God's Holy Spirit is to function fully in our lives, we must have an open heart and a consuming desire to know all we can about the nature and role of the Holy Spirit." Even though our flesh (our sin nature) and the Holy Spirit are opposing forces in constant conflict, God initiated powerful strategies to enable us to walk by the Spirit and dominate the sin nature.
It’s important for us to build a strong spirit so we choose more often than not, to rely on the Holy Spirit in us. There are several spiritual disciplines found in the Word of God that can help us to build a strong spirit.
Water Baptism is an outward, public display of a person’s change on the inside, due to the Holy Spirit bringing conviction of sin, repentance, and forgiveness. By obeying the command to be baptized, we identify with the power of the cross and resurrection, to deliver us completely from the power and authority of sin.
Paul urges us in Galatians 5:16 to, “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” We have a sinful nature that is in conflict with the Spirit. It is important for us as followers of Jesus to understand that the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit and vice versa.
What can save America? People are looking for someone to guide them through the difficulties of life/help them navigate around the rocks in the river called life. What they need though is fathers. That is God's order.
Our message title is taken from James 5:17,18 regarding Elijah, a prophet of God who lived in some very challenging times. Though we read about him in I Kings 19 that "(he) was afraid and ran for his life."; we will look at some events in his life that show an example of a man of great faith JUST LIKE US! Right?? Carrying out John 14:12; right??
Since James, undoubtedly the brother of Jesus and a leader of the church in Jerusalem wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit that: "Elijah was a man just like us. . . " (James 5:17 NIV), I would like to take a look at US, by taking just an overview of the life and times of the prophet, Elijah in the message today.

The Lord desires that we be “unstuck” from our limited way of thinking so that we can be “transformed by the renewing of our minds” (Romans 12:2).
The Apostle Paul, arguably the greatest Messianic rabbi of the New Testament, eloquently wrote about his relationship with Jesus whom he acknowledges as the Messiah. He stressed the importance of knowing Him and the power of His resurrection, in describing the value of that relationship. The question is, how much do you value your relationship with God through His Son Jesus the Messiah? Are you willing to pay the price of following Him and being changed by Him? In order to truly celebrate in the power of His resurrection, we must also be willing to count the cost.

We need our hearts healed from the past and our minds renewed to the truth of God. This is a work of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God as we seek to renew our minds. In this way, we will be free from past hurts and lies, and can walk in genuine victory, ready to fulfill all that the Lord has for us.
