About 95% of what we Do is helping people to hear from God themselves, teaching them to take thoughts captive, seeking God to close doors, praying, and loving people.
Notes on Matthew 12:43-45 and Luke 11:24-26 When cast out, according to scriptures, the unclean spirits:
- Goes through dry places means: Places without Water Look for rest
- Make decisions and determine where it will go
- Checks to see if the man is inhabitable.
- Talk to itself and also calls the man “his house.” (Statement of ownership.)
- Seeks out other spirits and invites seven more wicked than themselves to go back into a specific person.
- Evil spirits are unclean spirits without a body in search of a home. Not human.
Demons operate from two alternative positions:
1. From outside the body
2. From within the body If they operate from outside, we must resist them (see James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8–9)
If they operate from within, we must expel them (see Matt. 8:16; Mark 1:39) The great distinctive mark of demon activity: restlessness “Activity of Demons” notes Taken from Derek Prince Study Note Outline DD1
Can a Christian be influenced/ infected by an unclean spirit? Better question: Are there believers who are influenced/infected by bondage, fear, addictions, heaviness, jealousy, and pride?
- Ephesians 6:16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
- 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour
- Mark 4:15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.
- Acts 5:3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?
- 1 Corinthians 5:5
- 2 Corinthians 12:7
7 Reasons for Believers in Bondage
1. Pride
2. Ignorance –Don’t know they can be free.
3. Unbelief- Don’t believe they can.
4. Fear – Afraid of demons or how it will look…what people think. Some Other reasons people will not be free:
5. A spirit is interfering with their mind or body.
6. They aren’t ready to submit an area or situation.
7. They like the influence.
Holy Spirit is our comforter. Our God is our security. Any other “False Comforter” not only does not work, but becomes an idol:
- False protection (anger, amulets, good luck charms)
- False power (anger, jealousy, control)
- False comfort (loneliness, drugs, people, sex, food, material things)
- False companion (familiar spirits, loneliness)

Rick and Lisa talk about the power of prayer and how the connection leads to deliverance!
A quote from Bishop Lance Johnson is, “Your power and giftings are directly related to your prayer life. People want to do miracles and heal the sick, but no one seems to want to pray. You have to spend time in prayer with God. It is in the place of prayer that God conveys the identity of who He is. That’s where we behold Him and if you can’t behold Him, you can’t reflect him.”
The connection to the power of the gospel is faith and prayer. The direct link to believers getting and staying free is a life prayed out! The power for a minister to run their race without failing or stopping mid-run is a life of prayer.
