Dr. @nedratawwab got it right. I’m convinced that we as a society are woefully #emotionallyilliterate but our culture has all but banished healthy and effective grieving. Grieving goes far beyond losing a loved one (which a few days is given), but all types of loss: loss of relationship, loss of agency, loss of health, loss of job/career, and many more must be allowed to flow or else it will cause major problems in other areas of our lives. Check out this week’s episode on how we can learn effective and practical ways to address our grief and not default to the often quoted by many #introverts, #imfine #linkinbio❤️ If you got something from this post 🗣 with a thought/suggestion that comes to your mind 🪁 if you think it will help someone else! #intropowered #stress #burnout #burnoutprevention #burnoutrecovery #boundarysetting #allowandlimit #KINDNESSDEFINEDBOOK #kind #kindness #bekindnotnice #setboundaries #saynowithasmile #introverts #selfcare #bekindtoyourself #kindreminders #speakyourtruth #speakthetruthinlove #spiritualprinciples #cancelbeingnice #notonice #pastoralcounseling
Learning how to grieve, believe it or not, is a needed skill for all of us. This episode ends our “Grieving Well” series but without our journey through grief, we limit the capacity for our experiencing of eventual joy and grief. My encouragement to each of you is to grieve well.
Continuing our “Grieving Well” series, we discuss all of what grief is. Grief touches every part of us! So many do not recognize the scope of grief, and our world and culture often dismisses or minimizes it, sadly to our detriment. We must be compassionate to ourselves and others while in the valley of grief.
So many of us, especially religious folks tend to put grief into a box that is often unhealthy, unwise, and not even biblical. Today’s episode helps us understand better what grief is by eliminating what it is NOT. Check it out! Https://linktr.ee/winningdefined

Some of us would never equate our being nice with codependency but sadly it is. It is time to make the SHIFT from being NICE to Being KIND, FIRST to ourselves THEN to others! We are our OWN WORST CRITIC! We have A.N.Ts (Automatic Negative Thoughts) that operate in our minds and words throughout our lives. We must be kind to ourselves and CHALLENGE THEM! TODAY’S POWER QUOTE: “Character is BOTH how you treat others and yourself with kindness”
Today’s Topic is: 3 Reasons why Being Nice is a character flaw
Just like a when we get a crack in our windshield, the longer we go without getting it fixed, the worse it gets, making driving difficult for you and to others by being a hazard on the road!
The same way that Being Nice is a character flaw. We cannot allow it to continue!
Points to Cover are: 1. Being Nice is a Subtle Form of Manipulation 1. I’m F.I.N.E, its Ok, 2. Using Flattery to get what you want 2. Truth is Avoided 1. Examples: Doing a poor job at work, recipe for dinner didn’t workout, someone 2. Not wanting to share the truth because we don’t want to hurt the other person’s feelings 3. Little White Lies…“is a well-intentioned untruth” 1. In our Upcoming Webinar, we’re going to break down HOW To share potentially harmful ‘truths’ to others in a kind way 3. Being Nice stifles maturity and growth and leaves everyone the exact same 1. When we do not want to BE part of the solution, then we leave others lacking of the needed truth, that they only hear well from YOU! 2. The truth is supposed to set us free! I’m not saying we IGNORE people’s feelings and we must develop a stronger discernment for WHEN to share things, and this takes practice but I’d rather us tell each other, friends and family, the truth, so someone outside our home doesn’t have to!
