From Tang Soo Do to Muay Thai to Krav Maga, Kevin has taken multiple forms of martial arts from grade school into his adulthood. After taking a break from teaching few years ago Melissa began taking time for herself and started channeling her free time by traveling and running. Fast forward, Melissa has traveled throughout the United States and to 24 countries, run in a several half marathons and the TCS NYC marathon and she's even weigh lifted. Tay chats with new skating buddy Dr. Alex Moffett-Bateau, who despite having had a double hip replacement has learned how to skate, but before taking up a new activity she had to build up her strength to walk. In just four months she went from only being able to walk a couple blocks to walking 4 miles a day to now taking skate lessons with her teacher Red at Bronx Born Blading, to build up her skills as a skater. Alex hopes to one day participate in the NYC Skate Marathon as well as feel comfortable and confident enough to do street skating.
