In the message we go through Psalm 5. This Psalm contains hard truth about God and His nature. Psalm 5:4-6 CSB says, "For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil cannot dwell with you. The boastful cannot stand in your sight; you hate all evildoers. You destroy those who tell lies; the LORD abhors violent and treacherous people." Many people don't wabt to talk about these types of verses and would rather live the "hate the sin, love the sinner" mindset about God. Since God is perfect He can perfectly hate and perfectly love at the same time. Knowing that the wrath of God is going to come against us if we don't repent in faith and follow Christ Jesus is a hard pill to swallow; however, knowing these things and then realizing God's love is still greater is wonderful. For God to still love us despite our sin and His wrath towards us, puts His love through His sacrifice to save is from Himself that much more on display.
