One near their infamous sanatorium and the other, just 15 minutes away where two boys would find a torso belonging to John Dick.Most of us think of the 1940's as a time that was more innocent than it really was. We don't associate women during that time as ones that would sleep around and have lots of sexual partners. But that doesn't apply to Evelyn Dick. Welcome listeners. Your listening to the podcast I Udderly Can’t. Today we’re covering a story that’s been all over the news recently. I first heard about it on the evilness that is tiktok. I’ve taken quotes and information from a few different news outlets about this case. This case is a triggering story for good mothers everywhere. I know some people don’t like trigger warnings but I feel a need as mother myself to put this in here. Kristel Candelario, has been deemed by many one of this years worst human being. She’s not the only mother to deprive her child but in this instance, she’s not getting any sympathy from anyone. Especially me. The reasoning behind her actions that have led to her being sentenced to life in prison, will put a vise grip on your heart strings. 16 month old baby girl Jailyn Candelario was left by her mother for ten days alone in a playpen. Her mother had left on vacation for ten days. Ten fucking days! And, and She had planned this for months to leave with her now ex-boyfriend to go to Detroit and Puerto Rico. Mind you, neighbors stated she left her daughter home alone often. Yet it wasn’t something they felt should be reported. I understand the fear of have CPS called on you and possibly loosing your child. I understand that people want to keep children out of foster care and in the homes of family. But in this case, the neighbors who have heard this poor baby on numerous occasions, crying qnd screaming are just as guilty in my opinion. Jailyns mother claims she had been mentally unstable and had been hospitalized in January and February of 2023. Her reason for the trip, quote, “It was a decision that was actually made many months before,” I was in the hospital in January and February 2023 because I had emotional and mental problems. [On] one of those two occasions, I wanted to make an attempt on my own life. For that reason, I was in the hospital without being able to walk for exactly almost two weeks. And in the month of March, I mean, my [now] ex-boyfriend and I wanted to take a vacation." She stated “The answer is a bit difficult for the rest of the world to understand and in particular for the people who question and point out that I have committed a diabolical act, as was mentioned in court.” She also states, “I gave my testimony. I took the blame for my actions. I was experiencing emotional stress,” explaining she had been experiencing relationship issues with her daughters father. Scummy, that’s what I’m calling her, insisted that, quote “my daughters have always been everything, my whole world to me,” and assured that Jailyn “is always in my heart and is with me wherever I go.” Not to fucking puerto rico!Notice how she says daughters. Her other daughter, aged 7 was placed in the care of her parents. They were traveling and never knew their daughter was leaving on vacation.
