We did a livestream to wrap up the show we've loved to make for you for five-and-a-half years. We had folks pop on, send in messages, and chat at us. We tried to read chat messages for the audio listener, but it's tough to do, especially when you're having a conversation w/ folks. Watch the video to see a lot of the stuff we didn't read on air: https://youtube.com/live/Q3hzJvw8mVE?feature=share Thanks to all who listened and watched over the years. For the last episode of the series, we're joined by the creative and talented duo of Michael Giacchino & Angus MacLane, whose credits are too numerous to list here, to talk about one of the last books to hit the stands before Atlas/Seaboard turned off the lights: DEMON HUNTER by Rich Buckler & David Anthony Kraft. Demon Hunter is Gideon Cross, a vet who returns from The Nam to nothing and begins working as muscle for the mob, which naturally leads to him being headhunted to be a "Harvester of Eyes" for a mysterious cult that might just be up to something dark and nefarious!

We go through the lone issue of THE HANDS OF THE DRAGON, written by Ed Fedory with art by Jim Craig. Atlas decided to disrupt Marvel's near monopoly on kung fu comics with this origin tale of two twin brothers (one's evil!) who were bathed in radiation in a bomb explosion in Japan as infants. Between their irradiated strength and their years of martial arts training, they were both living lethal weapons. Time to head to the good old US of A for some mid-'70s mayhem.

We put a pin in Daimon's bizarre saga with The Possessor for a Bill Mantlo-penned one-and-done with The Thing in the nearby Arizonan Old West ghost town of Lawless, where Ben Grimm has been sent by Reed Richards on New Year's Eve to investigate some needle-burying energy readings. It seems the ghost of outlaw Jedediah Ravenstorm is behind the hauntings, but there is more going on here than meets the eye.

Lou Hackett learns that there was another magic lycanthropy ring where his came from and that Jack Russell took it, he makes a beeline for Colden House and the TWO beasts that are all too happy to tango with him using the streets of L.A. as their dance floor. A wild yarn from Moench is paired w/ dynamite art from Perlin & Colletta for a pulpy explosion of monsters, magic, and melee.
We're halfway through our WbN journey! To celebrate, we've taken Gerry Conway's two-part prose story ('Panic by Moonlight' & 'Madness Under a Mid-Summer Moon') from the Marvel-Curtis' mag Monsters Unleashed and produced an audio drama, a modern take on an old radio show. We hope you enjoy and don't forget to drink your Ovaltine. For continuity geeks, this takes place somewhere between issue 12 and 17.
We welcome writer Doug Moench to the WbN Wolfpack and, based on this ish, we're betting Friedrich left him a mug that says, "You DON'T have to be CRAZY to write this comic...BUT IT HELPS!" Back in L.A., Jack tries to find out more about lycanthropy. He's desperate to find a cure, not only for himself, but also for his soon-to-be-18 sister Lissa. Perhaps his strange neighbor Raymond Coker has the answer? And didn't Luther Kane claim to have a cure? The true head of The Committee, Baron Thunder, unleashes a modern day golem to stalk the werewolf...walls, windows, and doors be damned!
While waiting for a plane home to L.A., Jack & Topaz discover some months have FOUR full moons. The Beast is on the loose in Paris and a new, half-mad hunchback has snatched Topaz and is headed to the Notre-Dame Cathedral...with plans to make this cruel world sorry for treating him like a freak.
