The things you like, or find funny for that matter, truly reflect your personality and values. That is what inspired Joey Lundahl and Statler Gause to create “The Meme App,” that was designed to put a much more personable spin on the traditional dating app lineup.
As men in their 30s, these eligible bachelors are searching to date with intent, and Jonathan Perrone, friend of the Meme App creators, makes this very clear! In this episode, we cover everything from the “7 styles of humor,” to baby fever... and yes, men get baby fever too!
Join us as we hear all about the app that builds connections based off of humor, and see how these three men are navigating modern-day dating while taking superficiality out of the equation.
“The YMCA is for everybody- it has grown to be an organization that can touch every life”
This On the Record features Matt Mitchell, CEO and President of the Metro Tampa YMCA, and Dawn Kita, Director of Community Health. Together, they share the history of the YMCA and how it has shaped the lives and character of each community it’s present in. Matt never expected the YMCA to become a career for him, and since the 5 years he’s been here, he has watched the YMCA become an indispensable part of Tampa Bay. With programs such as LiveStrong, senior-living activities, youth development, and services geared towards mental health, healthcare, and food security, Matt and Dawn describe how the YMCA is much more than just a place to “Get fit.”
“No matter who you are, what you are, how you worship, how you love, the YMCA is a place you can connect with people- it’s for everybody.”
How lucky were we to have former St. Petersburg Mayor, Rick Kriseman and his gorgeous, talented wife, Kerry, in the studio for Love in America? Sarina has been dying to know their love story... and what perfect timing for them to share it with us following their 30th wedding anniversary?
Rick and Kerry discuss their personal journey on building a family with faith as the foundation, while sharing their experience of intersecting the Jewish and Catholic religion in the upbringing of the children. The two lovebirds express the importance of “finding similarities and respecting differences” as the key to a successful relationship.
When a first date watching Silence of the Lambs turns into a one-of-a-kind romance... you know these two share a real kind of love! You absolutely have to tune into this episode to hear the perspectives from this role-model couple.
When Jen Bingham and her husband moved to Tampa Bay from Chicago, they quickly realized the wine culture wasn’t quite the same. Not long after their realization, they were inspired to contribute to the Bay Area by sharing the importance and value of a quality bottle of wine. That’s when Cru Cellars was born in 2010.
Pour a glass with Sarina for this On the Record, as we learn about the history behind some of the finest wines and the development of Cru Cellars. The Owner, Jen, and Director of Cru Cellars, Julian Mayor, join me in an “early happy hour” while pouring me a variety of samples of their unique-quality wines and sharing the facts behind their origins.
"There is no other beverage on earth that is meant to be shared than wine...you pop open a bottle and want people to join you.”
“The fairway hasn’t always been fair to us!”
“Tee off” your evening with Sarina and tune in to this fun episode of “On the Record,” as Sarina speaks to Clemmie Perry and Vasti Amaro of Women of Color Golf!
Out of the 25 million people who play golf, less than 1% are women of color. Clemmie, Founder and Creative Director, and Vasti, Director of Strategic Partnerships share the path that led them to the game they love so much.
The WOCG was created to promote diversity in the game of golf and encourages accessibility for everyone, all while shining a light on minority representation. These two women dedicate their lives to continue conveying this message, all while hitting some hole in ones together as great friends.
“The dating world is very different in this age...tolerance for certain things is skewed and it’s hard to meet in the middle while aligning with someone else.”
In this Dating in America, Sarina sits down with Tammy Bove, Leslie Palmer, and Scott Schoonmaker to discuss both the struggles and advantages of dating in their 40s and 50s. From outlooks on dating someone with children, to opinions on whether to keep their own children separate from the exploration of new relationships, these three singles guide a thoughtful and contrasting conversation that encourages viewers to assess their own perspectives.
Regardless of the niche preferences, all three of these guests bring a positive light to the dating world, as they express how important it is to prioritize the things they love first while filling their own cup before pouring into someone else’s. We can’t wait for you to tune in!
“We don’t research this topic until we have to.”
This On the Record highlights two very special people who dedicate their lives to making the lives of others easier. Traci Lamb, CEO of Smart Caregiving, and Kevin MacRitchie, COO of Tactical Rehabilitation, join Sarina to discuss their passion for serving those that may lack the resources in order to get through a crisis or the hardships of everyday situations.
With first-hand experience with her own parents, Traci knew how much of a burden it was to take care of her loved ones as they aged, which inspired her to create Smart Caregiving, that provides answers, services, and support to people in similar overwhelming situations.
Kevin, on the other hand, works to better the health and well-being of military personnel, while also serving as an Active-Duty Law Enforcement Officer. Together, he and Traci bring their teams together to help each other reach out to populations who are seeking help.
Do you believe in “the one” even if it seems like an obstacle to find them?
Emily Christian and Mendy Jones sure do. Join me for another episode of Dating in America as I speak to two beautiful and insightful women and get the scoop they have on dating around Tampa Bay! Dating dynamics have their differences when it comes to different age ranges, yet the challenges tend to remain the same. Why aren’t people showing their true selves on dating apps? What does it take for someone to simply follow-up on a conversation?
Luckily, you can’t have these “single and successful” women fooled! Emily and Mendy are true catches and I learned so much from the perspectives of these two beauties. Be sure to tune in and also be sure to check out Mendy’s paddle boarding group that has over 5K members! Find the Facebook page searching “Pinellas Paddlers!”
“It all started with a routine eye exam.”
Only six in one-million people are diagnosed with Ocular Melanoma, known as an “orphan cancer” due to the rarity of the disease and the lack of pharmaceuticals behind it. On this On the Record, Sarina speaks with Linda O’brien, a first-hand victim of this cancer and Bernadette Boyle, who tragically lost her husband shortly after a diagnosis. Both of these women have courageously come together to form The “Your Next Step is the Cure” 5k run that raises funds to expand the research behind this rare disease that silently affects its victims.
This year, the run is being held on November 19th in Lithia, Florida. After hosting their first 5k in 2017, the run has now grown to a much bigger event that features raffle items and a variety of vendors. After raising over 21 thousand dollars in 2021, Bernadette and Linda hope to surpass that number with their event this year.
“All the single ladies, now put your hands up!”
This edition of Dating in America had our production team in the control room falling out of their chairs! It was so much fun and hilarious to interview two Tampa girls in their mid-twenties, Kasey Wishart and Kellie O’Connell.
With Kasey “petrified” of dating apps, and criminal defense attorney, Kellie, who is just hoping to find a man with no criminal record, these two young ladies give it to us straight when it comes to the struggles of modern-day dating.
This episode takes every route, from exposing guys for lying about their height, to the dread of receiving “unsolicited pictures...” But don’t worry, there are no names exposed for the “sake of integrity” around here!

This isn’t your typical “Dating in America” where our guests rant about everything that is wrong with dating apps or the cheesiest pickup lines. Vasti Amaro and Yailis Feliciano bring a much bigger message to our audience when it comes to navigating the search for love.
In this very special episode, Vasti and Yailis dive deep into the true purpose of companionship, while preaching the importance of prioritizing your own peace first. While these two beautiful women are, in fact, back in the dating world, their perspectives on staying true to themselves and their own passions remain firm and consistent. With Vasti’s role as a talented golfer and Advisory Board Member for the Women of Color Golf, and Yailis’s avid love for photography and scuba diving... these women stress that there isn’t anyone in this world who is going to deter them from their true-life purpose!
From discussions of feminine-masculine energy, to the effectiveness of “coffee-shop” first dates over going out for drinks, this edition of Dating in America provides all the insight you need before considering trying out the world of dating. Don’t worry, we always have to include some awkward stories in there too!
In the edition of On the Record, we’re really getting down to BUSINESS!
We’re talking investments, successful pitching strategies, and all things entrepreneurship with Scott Kelly, Founder and CEO of Black Dog Venture Partners and Joey Rosati, a Tampa-based serial entrepreneur and angel investor. These two highly successful businessmen both began their journeys in their young twenties and were so eager to share all that they have learned about money along the way. They even give us their personal opinions on the well-known business reality television series, Shark Tank, while stressing that “finding investors is about establishing relationships.”
I learned so much from these two impressive men in my short time interviewing them, and I can’t wait for you to tune in!
Straight from the Facebook group, “Are We Dating the Same Guy?: Tampa Edition” Lauren Scott and Sharra Hardy join me in the studio to discuss their personal horror stories while using dating apps. The Facebook group was created for local women to protect and empower other women while warning each other of Tampa Bay men who might be cheaters, abusers, or exhibit any type of toxic or dangerous behavior.
Lucky for us, but not so lucky for them, both girls share their experiences coming across this category of men while dabbling in the world of dating apps. From a date ending with someone falling into a lake, to stories of a serial stalker... it’s easy to say that this episode takes all kinds of entertaining twists and turns!
Tune in to this new edition of Dating in America to get the scoop on what we’re REALLY dealing with when it comes to dating apps in Tampa Bay.
When inspiring people with incredible stories or organizations come On the Record, it seems as though all the negative noise of the world is silenced for a little bit. On this edition of On the Record, I am honored to share the news desk with two women who proudly represent Tampa’s LAMPLighters. Debbie Trujillo, previous LAMPLighters President, and Amy Hull, the LAMPLighters Vice-President give me the full rundown of their organization’s mission that is committed to helping our community’s homeless and at-risk children since 1986.
LAMPLighters currently encompasses over 200 women with a passion to serve families and children that are in need of health, education, and rehabilitation resources, all while providing opportunities for spiritual development. By supporting residents that seek shelter at Metropolitan Ministries and the Joshua House, these dedicated women are continuing to “light the way” for these displaced families.

You know the saying that if a love is meant for you, it will always find its way back to you?
Some love stories can be heavy, but they always reveal the strongest relationships of all.
On this Love in America, I am honored to join Kenneth and Latarsha Haughton as I listen to the story of how their love unraveled and persevered throughout many different stages of life. As next-door neighbors and high school sweethearts, Kenneth and Latarsha were inseparable and the best of friends. Yet what Kenneth didn’t know was the darkness Latarsha was truly enduring behind closed doors.
After years of separation, growth, and transformation, the couple had found themselves in each other’s arms once again, and this time, free from the heavy baggage Latarsha was forced to carry. Now after five years of happy marriage, Latarsha and Kenneth have a beautiful story to tell, as they allow God to be the foundation of their relationship, and are open to sharing their journey of struggles and joy. “Kenneth was my safe space.”

You know the movie where the “regular” at the coffee shop comes in for her daily latte, and the handsome French barista falls helplessly in love with her?
Well, I can’t think of any specific romance movie at the top of my head, but I sure felt like a was on a movie set listening to this couple’s beautiful story! When Raphael Perrier moved from France to Pennsylvania, he used his time after college as a way to learn more about the art of coffee while working as the well-known barista at a local coffee shop. Sarah was the loyal customer of the shop, coming in every day to get her caffeine fix, which always included little foam hearts crafted perfectly at the top of her drink by Raphael. Right away, he knew he wanted to marry her.
Fast forward to six years of dating and 18 years of marriage, Raphael and Sarah put their roots into the heart of Saint Petersburg, Florida, where they decided to build a family and a highly successful coffee franchise of their own. Founded in 2006, Kahwa Coffee has grown to become the largest independent coffee roaster in the state of Florda, now with 14 locations!
Join me for this Love in America to hear the story of how an innocent coffee-shop interaction turned into a sunset proposal, and an indispensable name in the coffee roasting industry!
“There’s not enough info and research done for our children…it’s important for us to let our children shine… they are the future.”
Anthony and Melanie DiTinno had no idea that their world would completely flip upside down in the spring of 2021 when their youngest son, Vincent, suddenly started having intense night-terrors every time he tried to go to sleep.
After being diagnosed with a common “ear infection,” by his pediatrician, the couple knew in their hearts that they had to dig deeper, later discovering that the MRI stat that they ordered revealed something much more serious. Vincent was diagnosed with Stage II Rhabdomysarcoma, a type of cancer that mainly effects children.
While the DiTinno’s had to completely put their lives as they knew it on hold to focus on their little boy’s treatment process, they never lost faith or hope, as Vincent continued to show unwavering strength throughout his entire ten months of frontline chemotherapy and six weeks of proton therapy radiation. Today, the adorable boy is in remission, and the DiTinnos were inspired to create a KidStrong race as a way to advocate for families touched with pediatric cancer.
Join me as I am touched by this inspiring family’s story, and learn more about Pediatric Cancer from Dave Frazer, CEO of the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
Our audience loved him… so of course we had to get him on the mic again! From his appearance On the Record, discussing his book, “Flirting with Fame,” to Dating in America, to talk about his second book, “Carrots,” Dan Harary never fails to keep the viewers engaged!
On this episode of Dating in America, Dan exposes the details that sparked the motive behind writing “Carrots,” which gives readers a glimpse of Dan’s young life while navigating the struggles of undiagnosed depression, social challenges, and a secret sex addiction.

On this On the Record, we have two very special guests that tell a story of adversity, trauma, and most importantly, faith. This episode reflects the strength of two entrepreneurs and inspirational speakers, Latarsha Haughton, and Shalon Barnett, as both women share their individual experiences of overcoming hardships that transformed the trajectory of their lives. Through unwavering perseverance, Latarsha and Shalon were able to heal their pain while losing the baggage that didn’t define them. After dedicating their lives to starting their own non-profit organizations to help others in unfortunate predicaments, the two joined forces through social media, recognizing that their shared values can come together to form something much bigger.

It all started with a Valentine. Bernadette and Chris might not have known that one Valentine’s Day dance would change their lives, but they are glad that it did. On this edition of Love in America, these high school sweethearts take us on a trip down memory lane as they share how their love story unfolded. While this couple gives us a handful of laughs, we are also encapsulated by the loyalty and overwhelming commitment the two continue to demonstrate towards each other every day. While consistently renewing their vows, Chris and Bernadette never fail to prove that they are the better half of one another. “We’re each other's biggest fans, and we just want to be there for each other…”

Twenty years later, the Livingstone Academy is one of the largest private schools in Florida, and the Pellos are gearing up to open the Florida Trade Academy.
